“Don’t call my bluff!” warned the President of the United States recently, staring down Congressman Eric Cantor, the House Republican leadership’s Faustian choice, the new chief negotiator pitted in an ideological game of chicken with the future of the US and global economy.

Obama is in a standoff with Cantor and at the time of this writing, they have only 18 days left. By 2 August, time runs on out lifting the US debt ceiling. As most of you may well know by now, if that ceiling is not lifted the US will not be able to pay its swelling debts. US credit standing would crumble. You could feel this immediately from military outposts in Afghanistan to retired elderly members of your family not receiving their combat pay or social security checks. You will feel it whether living in or outside the US in a return of the Great Recession. This time doing its worst with unemployment rising well past 10.5 percent in the US, BS official government tally, even though the current 9.2 percent unemployment is euphemism in math. The real number is many more millions. They are not counted on the monthly dole report because their unemployment checks already ran out. Employment options that do not exist have many staying home not seeking it. Therefore, the real unemployment number is currently 16 percent. Bungle the debt ceiling heavy lift and watch that number after August climb near 20 percent.

The Speaker of the House, John Boehner, has all but surrendered his position as negotiator-in-chief to the second in command Cantor. The latter is singing the fire breathing right wing revolution as head of the Tea Party Caucus, which now speaks for the entire GOP in this debt ceiling debate face to face with Obama and Democrat leaders at the White House.

Revolutions, be they extreme left or right wing, breed economic ideologues. These men and women put their faith in ideas that do not have grounding in reality. These insouciant social engineers, in their minds, line up nagging details against the firing squad wall of their dogmas — unyielding barriers insulating them from the desperate call of fact over their socialist of fascist fictions.

Shoot the details in detail. Move ahead and over all who might prevent Bolshevik collectivization of industry and farming, the Nazis employing the German economic miracle based on armaments for fighting a catastrophic world war, Reaganomics trickling down profits like piss on the poor and middle classes whilst building capitalistic growth based on increasing the national debt. Deficit wealth creation is a concept that every president since has bested in their Clintonian bubbles or Bush busted economic experiments until the national debt has reached its 14 trillion and counting economic bomb caliber. The fuse is burning, running out of time for a payoff put out.

Great leaps forward like those of Chinese Commie Papa ooh-mao Mao and Deng Zhou Ping are leaps of faith, no less irrational and prone to potential disasters happily denied than what made The Fool in the tarot card, eyes bright set skyward with dewy idealism, take a step off the cliff, money bag tied to stick and all.

So here we have President Obama a few days ago in the White House meeting room, glowering with black, fiery eyes at Mad Hatter number one of the Congressional Tea Party caucus. This cantering Fool for revolutionary ideology ever eager to step off a cliff to embrace his anti-spending anti-taxing econ-idiotic New Age. Cantor demanded of Obama one too many times uncompromising words that to the effect said, “My way or the highway!” as his definition of “negotiation” and “compromise.”

You cannot reason with a zealous Revolutionary. You are expected to thrust out your arm, commie right angled or Nazi straight armed to reap their revolution’s whirlwind without the defeatism of reason.

Mao Zedong and Erick Cantor are of like mind, thought polar opposites as economic revolutionaries. Mao in the early 1960s could blithely believe he could match US steel output by taking his farmers off the fields and into their backyards manufacturing mud and brick smelters baking ingots of iron. Cantor and his ilk believe balancing the budget can be accomplished by drastic cuts alone mostly to social and medical programs without the need to generate new tax revenue sources.

The crops left untended by Chinese farmers cooking slag in crumbling ovens lead to a famine that carried off 20 million Chinese citizens.

Holding the debt ceiling where it is while making drastic cuts to government spending, with all the pain directed to the hollowing out US middle class, and no revenue increases, is just another ingot of Mao madness in mathematics.

You can’t eat steel.

You can’t balance a budget without raising taxes.

There, I have said it and before you rush with praying mantis claws to pounce upon keyboard to poke out a missive in the comments box below, reflect on this. I am a former Republican and ever a fiscal conservative who has not yet drank the Barbara Bachman Kool-Aid that faith over fact makes right. I still rely on rational mathematics when balancing “my” budget.

Heck, even Ronald Reagan raised taxes to the economy’s gain. Even Reagan knew what every leader in history up to G.W. Bush knew: you cannot go to war without raising taxes. The same is true about getting out of deficits. Spending must be cut “and” you have to raise revenues, i.e., taxes. All the tea in your party cannot change that, as the future will reveal sooner — or catastrophically — later.

But hey, in this political era or the irrational, of course you can start wars while cutting revenue, all you need to do is ignore the consequences all around you and keep believing your college BS BA made you a true capitalist. After Reagan came President Bonzo who monkeyed around with fundamental economic realities, cut taxes while going to war in Iraq and Afghanistan, passed medication price reforms without paying for them either and drove the economy into the deep Republican red debt of trillions of dollars.

Now it is political bedtime for Bonzo since 2008, yet my formerly Grand Old Party, the party that used to think and count, has sustained as their current Alzheimer mendacity a mindset from the last decade spouting in the name of Reagan things that would make Ronnie turn over in his shining tomb on the hill in sunny California.

Is Cantor promoting Reaganite? More like Bush-political kryptonite that has sapped the US Superman economy with its moonbeam rays of green-greedy and insane ideology.

No pain, no gain, you say?

I simply do not have to believe it. I will spend the first decade of the 21st century buying houses mindless of any mathematical fact that I cannot afford one. But hey, I am a believer who will not Eric re-Cantor our motto:

Blind to the coming pain! Cut taxes and spending. All will be gain.

Republican Party leadership, here comes Cantor and his Night on a Bald Mountain of economic incubi on which to succubae.

Possessed, you purchased this Walpurgis Night of impish ideas, daemon dancing, unmindful of the devil in the details of your Tea Party pact.

My oracle saw this coming long before the midterm elections as my blogs in 2010 record. Shortly after the election I published the following summary of things to come in a chapter entitled “Big GOPocalyptic Faustian Deal” for Predictions for 2011:

I predict that after 2011 the Republican leadership will privately consider themselves just as taken for a ride like Faustus: damned because they did and damned if they hadn’t surfed the Tea Party wave back into power in the House of Representatives. The Tea Party is not Republican. It’s a 3rd party in coalition. The GOP has less power than 16 years ago when Republicans by themselves took back both houses of Congress in 1994. The GOP leadership will keep their new House and Senate seats if they do the Tea Party’s bidding not the other way around…

Bipolar bipartisanship goes both ways. Right wing elements and fire breathers in the House will push on the “my way or the highwaymen” of the Left tenuously holding the Senate. The talking head butting will expose a rebooted Congress even less effective than the last in getting anything done.

Public exasperation will grow as time and energy is squandered in political “gotcha” theatrics…

So what happened? Boehner these days is speechless as the Tea Party leader does all the talking in Obama’s face. This Congress so far has been the most ineffectual in passing legislation than any in a half century. And the people are left with an all-time low opinion in the polls about them, in the low teens.

We are entering the second half of 2011 of which my oracle commented and published the following on 21 December 2010. This and much more it cautioned, cajoled and warned is ahead as deadlocked Democrats pitted against a GOP leadership on a Tea Party leash count down the days to the Debt Ceiling deadline on 2 August:

In the second half of 2011, at least one of the three parties in Congress — Democrats, Republicans or the Tea Party — must break the cycle of ideological coercion. Someone in this oncoming three-way deadlock of the people’s business must cease attacking the motivation of their opposites but debate the substance. The Fox and MSNBC cable news networks disrespect the essence of motivation when they editorialize the news from self-righteous ideological right or left-leaning points of view. In such a “gotcha” climate, people are dehumanized, turned into labels like “liberal” or “conservative” rather than having their motivations constructively criticized…

The Tea Party won half of Congress with a mandate of anger. People can’t contain anger for a sustained period. Anger may win your candidates a seat at the table but no Tea Party of mad hatter behavior can go on for two years…

What’s really brewing out there among the American people is an impatience for real leadership. Whether it’s Obama or someone else in 2012 is more up to Obama finding his Abraham Lincoln groove; otherwise, his future is all Jimmy Carter darkness.

Predictions for 2011
Chapter 3, Big GOPocalyptic Faustian Deal

My oracle understood from the beginning that the Tea Party is a Third Party that would use the establishment Republicans as a jumping board into power, then, behind closed doors, turn on the leadership, usurping their power.

Why else has the Speaker of the House become a deflated Boehner ala Demo-donkey dick-head, Anthony Wiener — politically speaking, that is. Boehner is reported to be sitting silently in meetings with Obama where the Tea Party’s chief Cantor does all the talking and singing the praises of spending cut of gain without tax revenue pain for those who can’t afford it.

It finally was too much. Even for a passive aggressive President Obama. He let lose a rare moment of “in-your-face” and as Cantor later related “extreme agitation.” Obama threatened Cantor and his Tea Partiers not to call his bluff and let the debt-ceiling deadline come and go on 2 August. Then the passive aggressive mask returned punctuated by Obama’s next move. He pushed back his leather chair and walked out on the meeting.

Did Jimmy Carter just leave the building?

On the other hand, are we about to see a turning point for the president who would be a karmic return of Abraham Lincoln in his third year in office?

Details of this can be read in a chapter entitled, The Second Coming of Change We Can Believe In, written for this year’s almanac of prophecies. In the meantime, let us again be reminded of where we all are going days, weeks or a few years after 2 August 2011 becomes the “21 December 2012” for two sides playing Chicken Little doomsday that came and went.

I believe we will kick this can of debt worms down a road in time, bouncing and clanging through and beyond the year 2012 into 2013. But Nostradamus has something to say about what will happen to your can of bean-counted economy if prompt and painful action — including tax hikes for everybody folks — is not forthcoming. Soon.

There is nothing nebulous this time in Nostradamus’ words, if this is about the fate of the global economy:

Les simulachres d’or & argent enflez,
Qu’apres le rapt au lac furent gettez
Au descouuert estaincts tous & troublez.
Au marbre escripz prescript intergetez.

The imitations of gold and silver will become inflated,
Which after the rape are thrown into the fire,
After discovering all is exhausted and dissipated by the debt,
All scripts and bonds are wiped out.

Nostradamus, (c. 1558)
Century 8 Quatrain 28
Les Propheites

And if that wasn’t clear enough…

It’s a topsy-turvy world, and maybe the problems of two people don’t amount to a hill of beans. But this is our hill. And these are our beans!

Frank Drebin (AKA Leslie Nielson)
Naked Gun

Frank wasn’t talking about Capitol Hill, but he could have been, because the girl pointing a gun at his big nose was hypnotized. Our legislators on the Hill are under the influence of their political programs, and they are playing with our beans.

If we don’t manage to get our troops home before the money runs out, I suspect we never will. They should not have been sent there in the 1st place. Afghanistan is not called the graveyard of nations for nothing.
Both Bush & Obama made a big mistake, that many have made before them and to which all have paid the price: They tried Guns & Butter. A very serious mistake. You cannot have it both ways.

    John,

From the comments of many of the previous posters I’m not sure one is allowed to talk about Nostradamus but your spot on insight of Eric Cantor compels me to share a possible scenario with you.

Speaker Boehner will be forced by the corporate structure into a deal on the debt ceiling with Obama. Cantor uses his hardline stance on the debt ceiling to arouse the tea party majority within the Republican caucus to oust Boehner and replace him as Speaker.

    Century 8, Quatrain 68
The old Cardinal deceived by the young one,
He will find himself out of his dignity disarmed:
After the birth of the deceitful monster is perceived,
Before lucidity and the Prince embalmed.

I have assumed the presence of two anagrams, otherwise the interpretation is that of Edgar Leoni. Line 3, I change the “r” in Arles to a “p” making apres (after). I believe Nostradamus used Arles simply to maintain his standard 10 syllables per line. Line 4, I interpreted “Et Liqueduct” as “que lucidite” using Leoni’s rules of allowing one change of letter, I changed the extra “t” to “i”.

The “embalmed Prince” I fear might be VP Biden, placing Cantor next in line to the presidency until a replacement is voted on by Congress. Is that a problem? Well, maybe.

    Century 2, Quatrain 57
Before the conflict the great wall will fall,
The great one to death, death to sudden and lamented,
Born imperfect: the greater part dark colored:
Near the river the land stained with blood.

Given current events and Nostradamus’ clear warnings of a coming clash with Islam, that is what I believe line 1 refers to. Previous to that is the death of a leader and given line 4, a violent death. I believe line 3 tells us who dies.

I have altered line 3 from Leoni’s interpretation using another anagram and the changing of one letter. Line 3 ends with the word “nagera”. “Nager” in french means swim, the “a” is simply added to make the line come out to 10 syllables and is superfluous. If you change the first “a” to “i” you get the Latin word “niger”, meaning dark colored or black.

“Born imperfect: the greater part dark colored.” Does that describe the son of an interracial couple? Does that describe Obama? Before getting to the next relevant quatrain I have to go back to perhaps Nostradamus’ most famous quatrain in which he predicted the death of Henry II.

    Century 1, Quatrain 35
The young lion will overcome the old one
On the field of battle in single combat:
He will put out his eyes in a cage of gold:
Two wounds one, then to die a cruel death.

It is the original french that holds the clue in line 3. “Dans cage d’or les yeux lui crevera.” If we look closely we get a perfect anagram of the name of the man who accidentally killed Henry-Gabriel de Lorges, Count of Montgomery. Dans ca[ge d’or les] yeux lui crevera. Or, Dans ca de Lorges yeus lui crevera. I leave it to those with a better command of french to determine if the line still makes since in this form, but it is exactly this type of anagram that I suspect exists in the next quatrain.

    Century 8, Quatrain 74
A King entered very far into the new land,
While his subjects come to welcome him:
His perfidy will have such an effect
That for the citizens a replacing of feast and reception.

Line 1 is the key in french. “En terre neuve bien avant Roi entre.” My online dictionary defined “avant” as “before” or “in front of”, and neither of these are used in Leoni’s interpretation. The line uses “new land” implying of course the USA. Looking closer, En terre neuve bien av(ant Roi) entre. Inside the brackets I chang the “i” to “c” and we have “cantor”.

Perhaps I’m seeing something that’s not there. I leave you with this unreinterpreted quatrain.

    Century 5, Quatrain 83
Those who will have undertaken to subvert,
An unparalleled realm, powerful and invincible:
They will act through deceit, nights three to warn,
When the greatest one will read his Bible at the table.

All these discussions over money is an attempt in my opinion to distract people from the real issue of the day. Which is: that all people have to try to become as self-referring (the buck stops here), economically collective and and self sufficient as possible. We have to work with each other at the local level. We need to be planting food every day. I lived in Jamaica for 10 years and even people who live in town have gardens or share a plot “a’country and grow food. This whole scenario of fighting over worthless pieces of paper while we should be creating real value is an illusion. Snap out of it, people! Another thing the American people have to realize is that these elites who rule this worldly system of things, which they have thought up and imposed upon the people, have no more toleration of or interest in American “workers”. We are out, folks. They’d rather buy up whole swaths of Wyoming and import 15,000 Chinese workers who can be held in virtual slave conditions and forced to take birth control and drugs, and work for 33 cents a day. We are too troublesome. We want a living wage, safety regulations, and fairness. Politics will never lead the people to a home of peace and safety because by its very nature, it divides the people into two opposing camps. The only way we have even a small chance to mitigate the suffering about to manifest, is to agree. Where two or three are gathered, touching on the subject of the king, there am I in their midst, to bless them and do them good. What is the subject of the king? Love. When I contemplate the suffering of the children around the world due to the lack of will to take responsibility for ourselves and come out of the hypnotic trance that our world leaders have the moral, wisdom, love or fellow feeling to solve these problems, I tremble. Wake Up! Help yourselves locally, establish networks of real people trading services, goods and helping each other. Don’t even meditate on their solutions because they are all distractions and sleight of hand. Yes, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. That means we have to breathe air, drink clean water, eat pure food and handle our shit properly without putting it into our water supply EVERY DAY. These are the things we need to protect or we can not have the privilege of living on this beautiful blue and green Mother Earth. These basic systems need to be rethought in accordance with natural laws of planet earth. Their whole financial “invisible hand of the market” which is supposed to take care of all good investors, is what they are mesmerizing us with so we won’t think about what really has to be done. I predict that soon people will be wiping their butts with paper money. There won’t be any toilet paper and it’ll feel better on the old bum than a corn cob. Plant food people and give thanks to our mother. Get back into the circle of life. Put your hands in the soil and feel your heart lift. Love you all. Tony:

And lets not forget the collapse of the dollar, the world reserve currency. When the US inflates its currency, everyone must inflate to keep the peg. The US exports its inflation to the emerging counties making everything more expensive for them. The US is distablizing every other country that keeps this peg as we speak with its systematic devaluation, or QE. When the individual counties unpeg, let their currency rise against the dollar their input (food) costs drop. The US must devalue, and in a sense already defaulting.. and is already raising our taxing both via inflation or dollar devaluation. If the use does not devalue, it goes straight into depression.

The imitations of gold and silver will become inflated,
Which after the rape are thrown into the fire,
After discovering all is exhausted and dissipated by the debt,
All scripts and bonds are wiped out.
I have to wonder of the ”

I have to wonder if “thrown into the fire” is a reference to Weimar republic throwing useless german marks into the fire use for heating fuel. I also think all bonds and are wiped out… that might mean a bank holiday where they close the doors, systematically devalue all the western currencies in direct cadence with each other and call it good. Essentially, devalue all together, then forgives each others debt. That also means anyone with a bond is going to get screwed.
The nightmare scenario occurs if the US does not have the gold it says it has, then we become a banana republik. The US would not anything to devalue against.

    John,

Medicine never does taste good. We just have to hope the Medicine doesn’t kill the patent. They need to do what is good for the country as a whole and it very well mean the troops have to come home. I don’t think any of us would have a problem with that. TEN years is long enough. Then we can take the troops and solve the border problem both North and South.

      HOGUE
For years now I have been writing that the president, whoever he or she may be from the terms of 2008 through 2016, would have to withdraw the imperial reach of the US military because like all great empires, overextension brings financial ruin.

“The imitations of gold and silver will become inflated,
Which after the rape are thrown into the fire,
After discovering all is exhausted and dissipated by the debt,
All scripts and bonds are wiped out.”

    My translation of the translation:

World currencies of the world will become inflated,
Which after the economic mismanagement are destroyed.
After discovering that the debts of all of the world’s nations are unpayable,
All bonds become worthless and all debts are abandoned.

      HOGUE
This is a pretty good elaboration on the translation. I would only add that “rape” be extended to its older non-sexual meaning which is “carrying off” or “abducting” etc. The dismantling of the US middle class, and its industries. Off-shoring jobs is a form of economic rape.

    WHITE
It has been said that, “The truth has a Liberal slant.” Actually, it is quite centrist. It is only distorted perception that makes it seem otherwise.

      HOGUE
As the Zen masters say, with my inserted qualifications, “neither this (extreme) or that (extreme).”

    WHITE
Conservatives are a practical sort. They seek practical solutions to practical problems. Liberals are an idealistic sort. They seek idealistic solutions for idealistic problems. Centrists are a blend of practical and idealist. That is why, when Conservatives and Liberals negotiate with each other, solutions seldom surface. And Centrists are few and far between.

      HOGUE
You all have perhaps read me saying this over the years, or heard me say it on radio and TV, the most radical stance in this polarized state of the human collective mind in its history is seeking a point of balance.

Thank you, John, for one of your best posts ever.

    Hi John,

I was wondering if either you or any of your commentator’s
could discuss how a collapse in the U.S. is going to affect “emerging economies” south of industrialized North America, and Europe.
For one reason or another, I feel that many countries in the Southern hemisphere, will be able to cope with the collapse when it occurs: they will not have to contend with systematic Martial Law,
or UN Commie Troops within their borders.. they might be able to fend for themselves if they are able to organize their food growth and economies for self-sustainability- just an idea, have any thoughts?

Additionally, Europe right now is also going through alot of turbulence with the greek default question, and how it in turn is affecting, Italy, Spain, and actually even France. We know that Ireland and Portugal have unfortunately already been downgraded to “junk status,” by American rating agencies, S&P etc. The euro then is probably not going to be able to hold out and may very well fall right along with the Dollar… I thought you might have some insight on these two questions. a. “Emerging Economies,” and b.
the collapse of the euro… Thanks for your time,

You stated in your article, “You can’t eat steel.” Nor can you eat gold. You can’t eat numbers/money either. Capitalism is nothing but a foolish legalized, rigged, corrupt, maybe even diabolical, valuation by numbers scheme. I do not think numbers are very usful for determining value. We are deceiving ourselves. There are other options than Bolshevic collectivism. We have our own sovereign money system (supposedly). Why do we have to borrow numbers/ money from anyone? We all need to think this through as our fearless leaders have sold us into mumbers debt slavery. Best as I know, all earth’s resources from which we survive are here free of any numbers charge. Numbers are not made from earth resources. They come from where? Just get a pen and paper and write one down, add as many zeros as you like. Are you now rich? Only if Bernanke says ok. The few at the top of the pecking order are using their rigged numbers scheme to buy up and therefore own and control everything on this planet. The endgame is called Monopoly. The more technology advances, the less usefulness and value most of us have. The crumbs are fewer and fewer. Poverty n a land of plenty.

      HOGUE
The poverty is of mind ruling consciousness, rather than the other way around. No politics, no economic ideas, no philosophy will ultimately save us from this upside down state we are in. The car drives the man rather than the other way around. That’s why we need to look at a revolution in Consciousness.

If what you read is comparable to Groucho or Karl or any other political comedian, why not cite the quote from Marx that it resembles. Have you even read Das Kapital, Ray? Here’s a test. Which Marx wrote this quote I used in my Predictions for 2011: “Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies.”

John, you get so much right; so I can’t believe you have this exactly wrong. Obama is the problem, he is a facist. That is when you mix corporate and gov’t power. You can call him a corportist if you like. Why do you always bag on the tea party people? You cannot expect people to just standby and let the gov’t take their wealth. You are again absolutely wrong that our taxes have not been raised. It is systemactally being raised by the inflation tax. So people like you who might find things “more expensive” or the little old lady’s social security check isn’t buy as much as it used to; the working class all will suffer the most. Is that your idea of justice. I would call that theft regardless if you are a donkey or an elephant.

Also unfortunately, you don’t understand the gold prophecy by Nostradamus. For if you did, you would try understand the consequences. It’s obvious to me you are missing the big event that is unfolding right now. Anyway, still a fan.. I just think you have the whole economic thing backwards. -Joe

You might take a look at what you project me to be. That’s what Hogueprophecy is really about. Politics is only on the surface. We are cooking something much deeper here. Some of you get it, most of you do not. This is a place in cyberspace where sooner or later each of my readers can have an opportunity to look at their projections and their conditioned mindsets. What is money in its purest form? NUMBERS. John Hogue, student of mathematics, is what I just stated true?

      HOGUE
The paper and the metal is peripheral to its purest form. Money is mind. Mind is programmed by society to seek peripheral values rather than the currency of the essential. In some future time “currency” will be valued differently and richness will be seen beyond mere coin and be valued by the state of our consciousness and love.

Thanks again for your wonderful works, refreshing the spirit to impart from the chaos!

“These are the times that try men’s souls.” Thus, the true American spirit is to hold onto integrity like a firearm, as it will be needed to defend yourself as well as others; stockade the mind with positives, such as hope, love, empathy, to ensure survival for self as well as others; defend your borders with knowledge, as this will ensure safe keeping for you as well as others; and above all realize your survival is inclusive of the survival of others because when one suffers, we all suffer eventually!

In essence, as you say, return to the spiritual, for the world is engulfed in a web of deception and one will only succumb to that web if one does not impart from it spiritually in order to live in it physically!

Bring the credit card War Machine home from the ME/Africa and park it. You cannot have guns & butter, but must choose. Such an action would be convincing to Moodys and S&P who are now considering downgrading our credit rating, which is hanging over the fire about to be roasted.
Otherwise, Nostradamus’ vision of a pulped currency looks more like a Western World Depression era monetary reset/start over.
Nobody can handle the CDO Ponzi debts run up. The West crawls under a rock, licking its self-inflicted wounds while Asia rises. Our leaders are no wiser than any other, and they cannot bear to give up thier Imperial Conquest dream.

Thank you for the interesting comment. America is standing at the same historic crossroads that Rome and Britain stood. One road leads to Empire and Fascism, the other leads to dismantling Empire and saving a democratic republic. Rome chose Fascism and Empire — indeed we get the word Fascist from the Roman state symbol of bound sticks and axes. Britain at the end of World War II also faced the choice and chose to retreat from empire to save the democracy. Now it is America’s turn. What shall Lady Liberty do?

I believe that Obama is the Mad Hatter – unfortunately a Mad Hatter that simple minded voters have unleashed to play havoc with the future of the U.S. We must stand firm for reduced spending and no tax increase. If it falls, let it fall. The people will rebuild as we always have – this time electing representatives that reflect the will of the people, not self-ordained demi-gods.

SImple mindedness is the problem. They believed in the Obamagogue and the Obama Romance or they are tea partiers who believe their movement is being financed by people who actually want to restore the country to its pure and constitutionally stable roots. In both cases, left or right mindlessness, are being used as tools by forces that would destroy the constitution and take away their freedoms and replace them with the politics of blind hope on the one hand and blind fear on the other.

    Democrats have turned Marxist.
Fire them all and start over with True Americans.
Don’t forget, the second paragraph in the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America states that We The People have the right to correct our government when it goes bad. I would say this is bad times.

I think we are screwed, no matter which side “wins” on the debt-ceiling and economic issues. The system is irretrievably broken, and the folks who will be picking up the pieces are the middle class and poor, as usual. Those in power will structure the future to their advantage, unless we beat our plowshare back into swords and finally take a stand. To many of us are obsessed with our toys, but toys won’t feed us. Maybe what needs to happen is for the system to fail so absolutely that we can throw the bastards out and start over.

Even if the can (the debt ceiling) is kicked and enlarged with a just in time vote that Standard and Poors (S&P) has stated the US is on a credit watch for 90 days waiting on a “viable” deficit reduction plan. A plan must be done, Wall Street is demanding it. Otherwise the decline of the US will be accelerated to this starting point. On January 1, 1939, Great Britain was the richest most powerful country in the world directly controlling 1/4th of the world’s land and people and indirectly controlling another 1/4th for a total of half the world. It also had the largest navy, air force and army. Just 2 years later they were bankrupt from fighting WWII. The military turned out to be a military for controlling an empire not fighting Nazi Germany. They had not looked to the dark side of the future as to what was needed to fight a modern war. The US’s war is economic and we must look at the consequences of not looking at the future and dealing with it or our financial fall would be as quick and dramatic as Great Britain’s.

Obama has put us each into tens of thousands of dollars in debt and for what?

And I think he’s probably right about 80% of Americans agreeing with him. Where I work, in a nursing home, with real hard working individuals, I’m guessing that close to 100% want the Rich to pay their fair share. Hmm….well why would I support the Tea Party? Maybe because I want a government to represent the people as they once did. Maybe it’s because I am tired of corruption and the government trying to control every part of my life.

        HOGUE
Doug, these are all the right reasons, but the Tea Party is funded by all the wrong people who would talk you up your values but use your votes to gain a power to deconstruct your constitution and freedoms, replacing it with a new corporate-centered global fascism. History runs in cycles and the cycle of fascism from the 1930s and 1940s has returned in a new form. Fascism has gone corporate. It doesn’t goose step anymore. It doesn’t need panzer tanks, but like the past in Germany, it needs a passive audience, easily swayed by simplistic demagoguery.

      DOUG
Your loosing your Republic. I believe in the individual and Obama believes in the state. Big Government always ends in oppressing it’s citizens throughout history and that’s what your getting with Obama.

        HOGUE
You can recognize when demagoguery has succeeded when people borrow big and sweeping, simplistic slogans, such as “Big Government”, or “the State”. It is more complicated than that. Hitler used to say, “keep it simple.” He also defined a mass of voters as being akin to a hysterical woman. So you seduce her (Obama style) or you frighten her (Tea Party style). Either way, keep everything simple. Say “The Constitution”, don’t read them the constitution. Say “Big Government”, don’t explain their part in how it is made big or small as representative of their political health as citizens. Keep them always engaged at loving or fearing something simplistic and abstract beyond themselves rather than make them each individually take the responsibility for the state of their “State” and “Government”.

      DOUG
Have you looked at Europe lately and what big government has brought them? They can’t even get vitamins and herbs over the counter as of this year. Wow what a Utopia? All they are doing is transferring their wealth and liberty to a few private families and enslaving themselves.

        HOGUE
And you think that’s not happening here? Why look away from your own problems at distant Europe? That’s what demagoguery does, persuades you to look away from yourself and get carried off by Obama love, or becoming a corporately financed Tea Party tool. Wake up Americans on the left and the right. Wake up.

“On the other hand, are we about to see a turning point for the president who would be a karmic return of Abraham Lincoln in his third year in office?”

A turning point, indeed, the process is ongoing, and presently happening as we type our responses back to you. Lincoln also brought on “martial law” (it was never repealed). Martial law now descends upon America much like the darkness that had descended upon Tolkien’s Middle Earth, with each passing day, Obama takes on more attributes of a the snake-like Gollum, losing his grip on reality (a pathological liar), drifting further & further away from the Oath of Office he had once taken – an oath to protect & defend the Constitution. As he consults with foreign kings & queens, rather than Congress (who supposedly holds the purse-strings & declares the wars), to make his war upon Libyan civilians. There is an eerie silence within the halls of Congress.
Ron Paul was the originator of the tea party. Since then its been hi-jacked by those that stand to his right, by Palin, through Glenn Beck. you will find Bachman & Perry, perhaps Romney too, to be hi-jacking Ron Paul’s stance on many of the issues in the days to come. The Fed, a private corporation, having control over our monetary system?
Obama has already warned the public of what is to come – there will soon be no social security checks issued. There is no guarantee.
Taxes are being raised too as we speak – through the continued excessive printing & creation of digital zeros (a hidden tax, without the need to say in publicly) with no pulling back on spending in sight. In fact, new wars are needed to run the cover of smoke over the designed take down of the American economy, and the rest of the world with it. Obama is playing his part to a ‘T’.
The question of the week resounds, laugh-ably & relentlessly, in the days ahead:
Ron Paul to Bernanke: “Is gold money?”
    Bernanke: (hesitation) “No.”
Ron Paul: “Even though its been considered money for 6 thousand years? – And, somebody’s reversed that economic law?”
Bernanke: (More hesitation) “Well, its an asset. Would you say treasury bills are money? I don’t think they’re money either.”
Paul: “Why do Central banks hold it?”
Bernanke: “Its a form of reserves.”
Paul: “Why don’t they hold diamonds?’
Bernanke: “Its because of tradition – long term tradition.”
Paul: “Well, some people still think its money (because of tradition).” “I yield back, my time is up.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NJnL10vZ1Y
As we round the curve in the homestretch to 2012, Obama (Gollum) is looking to me, more and more, as the best candidate for that dark Mabus. Thankfully he will not last long. We will have the sun to be most grateful to.
    Cheers – djon

    Hi John,

If you thought that Jimmy Carter was the worst President in American History, just wait because ” Obama ” will beat him out 10 fold. Most definitely a One Term President !

Recently with the ” Debt ” problem, Obama lied to the American public when he said the Polls showed that 80% of Americans agreed with him. Obviously there are no Polls to substantiate his Lie.

Which brings us to a factual conclusion that the Liberal Media, which is the majority of the media, never checks into the the Facts in regards to Democrats. The Liberal Media just takes the Lies and B.S. from the Democrats and moves those Lies along and repeats the Lies and B.S. so many times that the Democrat Lies and B.S. now becomes the Truth in unitelligent peoples minds.

John, I’m glad you finnaly admitted that you’re not a Republican and not a Tea Party supporter. Nor are you even close to being a Independent. I wish you were a Independent. Instead we find you deep into the Far, Far left Wing funk that you have yourself mired into.

During the runup to the vote on ObamaCare, The President on National T.V. told those that did not agree with him to Step To The Side. At that very moment Obama ceased to be Presdident to All Of America. Obama and the Democrat Party proceeded to shove down the throats of ALL Americans, a plan that All of America did not agree apon! Creating the most Partisan Presidency since Jimmy Carter. Also creating a Third Party ” Tea Party ” which could further devide us.

Now that the tables have been turned somewhat with shared power with the two political parties, This current President still is not listening to ALL of America. Wherby the American People expect this government to live within it means like any family or business has to to.

We now find us back to the begining with a Democrat Presdident and Party that is Drunk on Tax And Spend. You can not Tax and Spend the nation into prosperity.

In regards to Prophecy, The Truth is the way and the only way. In responce to ” Gary ” I am not looking for Prophecy interpetations to match my political wishes, or anybody elses. Not in any way shape or form. Prophecy deserves to be interpreted with no biases what so ever.

    John,

I happen to live the in state that Bachman claims to represent (at least in her district) and I have come to know her as a “front”, as in runner. She latched on to Ron Paul’s Cape a few years ago, and even though she doesn’t “get it” she has managed to convince many that she is the answer to Obama. That being said, it appears to me that Bachman and Pawlenty are set up specifically to derail any real chance Ron Paul would have of getting the GOP nomination. I have read your ideas on Paul and agree with most of your conclusions. But I have to hope. He is not perfect by any means, but he does stand for something we have lost in this “modern” world. Honesty and Freedom.

I know this will come up sooner or later, but I have to ask. Since Ron Paul will not gain the GOP nomination, will he run for President on his own? Can we once again (in Jesse Ventura’s words) “Shock the world”?

Desperate for light in the political darkness.
