Between Iraq and a Hard Place – 4, Mission to Catastrophe

Friends,
We resume from the previous part:

2001:
IN SEARCH OF THE FUTURE CALAMITY THAT THREATENS TO UNDERMINE THE U.S. WINNING THE WAR ON TERROR

The future, always in motion, from present day actions, flies invisibly in new trajectories out the opposite side of skyscrapers where roaring jets had disappeared. Destiny in new courses flies out of great scattered flames and snow showers of business papers and falling people from the Twin Towers of New York on 11 September 2001. On that day we were all changed, as now the future was changed and in the glow of fires in towers falling, a vision of a future world war of terror shown clearer to my presaging oracle.

The week after 9-11 my web site fried three server companies with 20,000 hits a second and over 2 million visitors asking what might be coming “next.” The following was part of my first response to 9/11 posted at the site and later saved in HogueProphecy Archives. There were many things covered but as the war began, my thoughts below hovered over visions of how it could be shortened, how America could avoid turning 9/11 into a greater disaster if their leaders read the stars and Nostradamus right.

First the Nostradamus prophecy in question, then my reply:

Mars and the sceptre (of Jupiter) will meet in conjunction,
A clamitous war under Cancer:
A short time afterward a new king will be anointed,
Who will bring peace to the earth for a long time.

Nostradamus (1556) 6 Q24

America is ruled by the sign of Cancer in astrology. The current American president, George W. Bush, is also born under the sign of Cancer. Thus one could decode the second line of the prophecy above to read “a calamitous war under America and its leader.” If this is a correct decoding of the line, then America’s war waged by President Bush against terrorism will be a calamity for his country, the American economy, and perhaps bring catastrophe even to himself.

… We stand at a crossroads on the Cusp of time. One destiny leads to sustained terror and war, the other to understanding and peace. The actions of history’s power players around April or June of 2002 can create a new world war or set us on a course for a spiritual awakening that brings a millennium of peace.

9-11 & NOSTRADAMUS
(24 September 2001)

ASSESSMENT (March 2007):
What happened around April to June 2002? Was the Cancerian president moving towards peace? Note some of the following articles taken from the (DMOZ) Open Directory Project that catalogues press reports. Notice the following examples from April through September of 2002–the period most influenced by the Jupiter-Mars conjunction:

U.S. Blueprint to Topple Hussein Envisions Big Invasion Next Year – Explains plans for a major air campaign and ground invasion. New York Times, US  (April 27, 2002)
President Broadens Anti-Hussein Order – The CIA gets more tools to oust the Iraqi leader, reports Bob Woodward for Washington Post, US. (June 16, 2002)
Bush Gives CIA Green Light to Kill Saddam – An intelligence order signed by President George Bush instructs the CIA to conduct covert operations aimed at toppling the Iraqi leader. The Guardian, UK. (June 17, 2002)
U.S. Plan for Iraq Is Said to Include Attack on 3 Sides - Detailed report on the content of a Pentagon document entitled “CentCom Courses of Action” and prepared by planners at the Central Command. New York Times, US. (July 5, 2002)
US to Attack Iraq via Jordan – American military planners are preparing to use Jordan as a base for an assault on Iraq later this year or early in 2003. The Observer, UK. (July 7, 2002)
Iraq Plans Urban Warfare to Thwart US – Reports on possible Iraqi strategy in case of an American invasion. The Guardian, UK. (August 9, 2002)
War games rigged? – General Paul Van Riper says that the war game Millennium Challenge 02 was almost entirely scripted, and warns to use the results as proof for any new war strategy. Army Times, US. (August 16, 2002)
Wake-up call – The biggest war game in US military history was rigged to ensure that the Americans beat their “Middle Eastern” adversaries. Julian Borger interviews Lieutenant General Paul Van Riper, the leader of the enemy forces, and explains the strategy of the Pentagon that should be tested in the game. The Guardian, UK. (September 6, 2002)

There was no move towards peace by this Cancerian President or America but a buildup for a war in Iraq that today seems ever more removed from the strategic course the country should have taken to defeat those who had set fire to the Twin Towers, Usama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda. As one wag put it, G.W. Bush’s strategic bone-headedness–a buildup that eventually saw the US invade Iraq in this new world war–would be a blunder comparable to President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the last world war invading and occupying Mexico as a strategic answer to Japan attacking Pearl Harbor. The Japanese therefore would infiltrate and aid the Mexican insurrection bogging down US military resources there rather than sending them island hopping all the way to Tokyo and victory. FDR if he were playing Bush in “Dubiya-Dubiya” Two would then declare his quagmire in Mexico a “new central front” in the war against Imperial Japan in Mexico despite the fact that before he invaded the Japanese had never been there before

After writing my comments posted on 24 September 2001, I spent the rest of September and October feverishly updating my first book on Nostradamus in a third edition under the new title: Nostradamus: The New Millennium. Here are some excepts:

The Sino-Arab alliance I spoke of has yet to happen, but as I write this in October 2001, just one month after the terrorist attack on America, I would still hold to such an alliance coming in the near future.

Nostradamus: The New Millennium,
p. 178, (October 2001)

ASSESSMENT (March 2007):
So far it would seem that a Sino-”Iranian” alliance is in the works. Iran is China’s chief oil export client from the Middle East. The Sunni “Arab” states secretly gather in a tacit alliance with the US to check the spread of Iranian dominance there. The next prediction was more on the mark:

By the time you read this after the publication of this book in early 2002, you will most certainly see the focus of US and Allied attacks move from Afghanistan to Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. If in the coming conflict missiles should find their mark in one of Saddam Hussein’s bunkers, he too could be made a martyr for a 27-year war of terrorism.

Nostradamus: The New Millennium,
p. 182, (October 2001)

ASSESSMENT (March 2007):
After 9-11 it became clear to me that the US would push war on Iraq, not the other way around as I believed earlier. The US began moving military assets for the invasion of Iraq into the Gulf States and Kuwait in early 2002. The focus of war “had” changed to Iraq. In the early morning hours of 20 March 2003, the US tried to commit “regime-acide” by planting two cruise missiles through the windows of a safe house wherein they thought Saddam Hussein and his two sons Qusay and Uday were hiding. In the coming month the US would try decapitating the Iraqi dictatorial state with cruise missiles that despite the great loss of life in “collateral damage” in the end all missed Saddam Hussein. Still, Saddam “has” become a martyr, by hangman’s noose rather than death by cruise missile.

A little under five-and-a-half years ago I began plotting windows for wider war in the Middle East theater:

In the 21st century I would expect the highest potential for war when Mars enters Aries at the same time Saturn enters its two-year transit of Leo (2005-2007) and again when Mars is in Leo in June-July 2006, and in Aries again at the end of the Saturn transit of Leo in May-June 2007.

Nostradamus: The New Millennium,
p. 195, (October 2001)

ASSESSMENT (March 2007):
Part of this was fulfilled. The sectarian civil war in Iraq began to surface in the summer of 2005. In the following summer of 2006, Mars joined Saturn in Leo at the resumption of a low grade war between Israel and the Palestinian Authority with Palestinian terrorists abducting an Israeli soldier, and Israeli air strikes and military sweeps across parts of the Gaza Strip and West Bank. Then came a short and devestatingly sharp war between Israel and Hezbullah fighters in the hills of Southern Lebanon. But these, as I said previously were mere side-shows to the sudden and sustained massacres and counter massacres of Sunni and Shia Iraqis by the thousands as sectarian violence magnified dramatically while Mars and Saturn tarried together in Leo. The aspect for war returned at the end of 2006 into January 2007. It marked a deepening round of threats and sabre rattling between Iran and the US. It saw a buildup of military assets by the US in the Gulf reminiscent of 2002 with a difference. Unlike the Iraqis, the Iranians publicly displayed their readiness to fight back in three major land, sea and air military maneuvers. The US pushed war, while Iran showed itself not to be a push-over, like Iraq. The so-called “Surge” of tens of thousands of US troops into Iraq also began during this aspect.

Saturn is now passing through the final degrees of Leo. Mars in Aries will trine Saturn in June. Saturn will pass out of Leo by early September. This last window for war is the strongest of the three. My next eBook will investigate Nostradamus’ prophecies about a war with Iran. “Nostradamus and the Iran War” will appear on my web site for purchase in May 2007, a few weeks prior to the most dangerous pass of these belligerent planets.

Next week we will review how a “mission accomplished”–the  US invasion of Iraq–was accurately forewarned as a catastrophe in the making.
