Black fire flashing in his eyes, President Obama late night addressed his nation and confirmed in action what my oracle had foreseen and anticipated 21 months ago, even though it long remained a lone prescient voice in a wilderness of future gazers who just did not believe Obama meant what he said. Well, he does mean what he said about withdrawing US troops from Afghanistan, starting next month, July 2011 and by the time July 2012 comes around he pledged that 33,000 US soldiers will leave Afghanistan. My oracle believes that number will be far higher as we will see.

Here then, is a review of some of my oracle’s predictions, dated and documented within the blog pages of Hogueprophecy.com as well as published and dated for my annual yearly predictions in the e-books

Lex, the web master of the Coast to Coast AM, produced this concise and comprehensive overview of the subjects George Noory and I tackled the night before in a radio show broadcast across North America (click on Coast to Coast AM)

“Appearing during all 4 hours of the show, prophecy scholar and expert on Nostradamus, John Hogue discussed his predictions for 2009, the future of the economy and the Obama presidency, and also touched on Nostradamus’ writings about the Antichrist. In reviewing some of his previously published predictions for 2009, Hogue reported that he’d been accurate about foreseeing Obama handling three international crises by the early spring, and that the new Republican Party chairman would be an African American.

“Obama will be a two-term president, but he won’t come into his own until his second term, when he’ll evolve from being an agent of compromise to fighting to change the system, Hogue stated… The war in Afghanistan will turn into a quagmire, like Iraq was to the Bush administration, and the US will disengage from the conflict sometime between 2010 – 2013, he predicted.

ASSESSMENT
If you link to that archived show you will hear me tell George Noory that Obama would initiate a troop surge of 40,000 soldiers but he would put an 18 month deadline on the troop surge and begin pulling US forces out of Afghanistan. It is important to remember that when I said this in early September 2009, Obama was months away from deciding on the troop surge. There was no talk of a deadline until he later announced his plans in December of 2009 to put an 18-month deadline on the surge securing Afghanistan amounting to an added 33,000 US and 8,000 NATO troops (40,000 in all).

In a blog posted 8 October 2009, click on Afghanistan War, I made the following observation based on a prediction signed off nearly 9 months earlier on 24 January 2009, see italics:

The future historians will tell you what I say now: America lost the war in Afghanistan at the Battle of Tora Bora. If Obama is seduced into thinking by a blast of CEOs-in brass at the Pentagon that he can win what was lost by digging in deeper into that broken chaos of a corruptly ungovernable country, he will fulfill my warning passed for the prophetic record in Predictions for 2009 [published on 24 January 2009]:

I see in Obama a Kennedy-like obsession about going into Afghanistan and perhaps even Pakistan to hunt down Usama bin Laden…

Is that sign of blunder coming to test Obama’s first year in office?

Yes! Mars passes through Cancer from 8/26/09 to 10/17/09.

We wait to see if Obama will Kennedy or L. B. Johnson himself into his own ill-aspected Mars in Cancer Vietnam. (The Gulf of Tonkin Incident in 1964 under Johnson’s watch, which became grounds for the Vietnam War, happened under the same [astrological] aspect.) The other recourse is to ignore the rush of war and visualize Obama begin a methodical strategic retreat that will see US involvement in Afghanistan all but end in the next three years.

I am of the oracular mind that Obama will dramatically increase US military involvement for a time much shorter than the Pentagon chiefs want in hopes of dramatically seeking out and destroying al-Qaeda, even though it is no longer strategically significant and could very well be the cause of the collapse of Pakistan as I warned in Predictions for 2009.

ASSESSMENT
Obama did make his momentous decision to surge troops into Afghanistan during the Mars in Cancer transit; however, he is on record being mindful of the mistakes of Johnson in Vietnam and has said he would not keep US forces trapped in a strategically untenable situation. Though most news network talking expert heads dismissed this possibility for the next 18 months of a serious withdrawal, my oracle did not.

The oracle’s views were reflected in prophecies for 2010 signed off on 1 November 2009:

Afghanistan under Obama is little different in popular opinion than Afghanistan under eight years of Bush indecision. The country wants the troops home, however Obama seems poised to listen to the brass and bemedaled Pentagon CEOs of the military industrial complex who want to keep the war business there going on. He’s sending a lot more troops soon, unless I’ve happily misread my oracle.

Predictions for 2010

ASSESSMENT
A month later, on 2 December 2009, Obama announced his troop surge in Afghanistan in a speech held at the US Military Academy at West Point. In the next passage my oracle anticipated in detail the surge, the number of NATO and US troops in the surge, the record combat casualties to come in 2010, the bloodiest losses in the war so far, and the timeline for surge troop withdrawals to begin 18 months later (July 2011):

When Obama reads about the mistakes of Vietnam he should avoid turning Afghanistan into his own “Vietnamistan” by enabling what President Kennedy planned but Vice President Johnson ignored. Kennedy had the intestinal and strategic fortitude to plan a withdrawal from South Vietnam and cut US losses early in his second term. Assassination and Johnson’s ascent to the presidency ended that plan. Johnson poured in more troops and there we have his cautionary tale. If Obama isn’t careful, all of his good will, political capital and dreams of changing America will be squandered in an obsession of deeper involvement in Afghanistan. Obama’s change revolution undermined just like Johnson’s Great Society.

Beware of it in 2010 Mr. Obama because I know you will raise US troop involvement in Afghanistan to its highest level. You will endure tolls of American dead and wounded per month as high as the Iraq Occupation at its peak. I also discern with oracular help that you have bargained with the Pentagon to affect a compromise strategy. The generals prevailed upon you to receive their 40,000-troop increase, but you will counter putting the surge on a short time leash of 18 months. If Afghani urban civilian populations aren’t protected and their infrastructure improved, if the endemic corruption of Afghani government isn’t hosed down to a tolerable stink. If moderate Taliban supporters don’t have a “Taliban awakening” akin to the Sunni awakening, the true source of the Iraqi Surge success, if Taliban and al-Qaeda bases aren’t closed and cratered by the Pakistanis, then President Obama, you will pull all US troops out of Afghanistan in time for the 2012 presidential elections

Predictions for 2010

ASSESSMENT
The final lines above give glimpse to the future after July 2011. At the time of this assessment (23 June 2011), there are hopeful signs of negotiations between the warring Pashtun factions: the Karzai Regime US forces prop up talking with elements of the Taliban insurgency leadership. I do foresee a political solution coming in the wake of troop withdrawals that will precipitate more troops leaving Afghanistan than announced yesterday by President Obama in his current time table: 10,000 by autumn 2011 followed by another 22,000 by Summer 2012. My oracle commented on this possibility while enlarging its vision when I signed off on the following prophecies for 2011 on 21 December 2010:

21 December 2010:
Obama will make 2011 the year of “terrible twos” for his liberal and antiwar base. He’ll try to win Republican favor by extending the Bush tax cuts another two years. He will announce that the deadline to begin combat troop withdrawal in Afghanistan set for July 2011 will be pushed back two years. A date for ending the war pushed two years after that to 2014.

(Let me state for the premonitory record: this isn’t what will really happen. These pledges of intent by the president are “just words”. He will begin the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan in July 2011. Moreover, Iraq will be emptied of all but around 15,000 military advisors by the end of 2011.)

…What will happen in Afghanistan in 2011?

I’ve predicted for a while now that tribal solutions between Taliban and Hamid Karzai-leaning Pashtuns is the only potentially positive solution. Obama will bust a Nixon-in-Vietnam move. He’ll cut losses declaring “Peace with Honor”. The Pashtuns will then bring back what was once called the “national covenant” that had ended with the deposing of the Afghan king by Soviet forces invading Afghanistan in 1979. The covenant will return by 2012 as a frail political creature, a loose association of tribal leaders ruling like warlords and mafia bosses in a patchwork kingdom with a weak federal center, granting strong autonomy to tribal warlords.

I will close this review of prophetic successes with a review of my interpretation of a Nostradamus prophecy about the advent of a “Black King” who I believed is America’s first African American President destined to take troops into Pakistan and kill a top candidate for Nostradamus’ third Antichrist, Osama bin Laden. The segment is from Nostradamus and the Antichrist Code Named: Mabus (see the e-book, click on Nostradamus). This passage is one of the earliest oracular assessments I recorded about a game-changing event in the Afghanistan conflict, the killing of Usama bin Laden on the ground in Pakistan by US Special Forces. I wrote this in the summer of 2008 publishing it at the end of September 2008. Note the passage in red:

A right interpretation depends on divining who is the subject of these vague third person personal and possessive pronouns. Play with it in French and the anagram Alus sanguinaire (Bloody Alus) becomes L’USA sanguinere (the bloody USA). Le noir (the black) may be an anagram for le roi n(oir): “the black king.” Earlier interpretations had a black robed Shia cleric of Iran or Iraq who makes the angry one, such as Saddam Hussein, repent; however, if this applies literally to an African American future president, then it might describe Barack Obama’s Iraq policy in future action.

The Greek Meso (between) potamia (two rivers) is Iraq geographically defined as the land between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. This round of interpretation presumes President Bush the angry one made to repent his invasion of Iraq by Obama who pulls out combat troops in the first 16 months of his presidency. Another candidate for angry one is Usama bin Laden who will repent ordering al-Qaeda to infiltrate Iraq during the Bush administration. The Black president (king) will increase US forces in Afghanistan, killing or capturing Usama in a military incursion into Pakistan

History quickens again, especially in natural disasters. In the year of the 12 great catastrophes — one at least per month — it is hard to decide which historic event will win this dubious sweepstakes in June. Will it be the Arizona Wallow Fire, the state’s greatest fire in recorded history? Should we consider the “fire in the skies” of prolonged record-breaking heat waves across much of the southern and eastern portions of America? The 12,000 people of Minot, North Dakota, who must evacuate their flooding city? Shall we give the reward to the great volcanic eruption two weeks ago of Puyehue, the Chilean volcano, now sending an ash cloud a second time around the Southern Hemisphere disrupting flights in and out of Australia and New Zealand and covering wide areas of Chile and Argentina in ash?

Usama bin Laden.

Usama bin Laden (above), Saddam Hussein. Which one is Nostradamus' Arab Prince of Evil?

The future and the events they anticipate are having a convergence. The prophecies of Nostradamus about his Third and Final Antichrist, code named Mabus now pit the two front-runners, the late Saddam Hussein and the recently killed Usama (Osama) bin Laden, in an ever-closer race to be number one candidate for Antichrist. Usama is catching up with Saddam.

Here, for your review are the two core quatrain prophecies about Mabus, the Third Antichrist, indexed 2 Q62 and 8 Q77 in Nostradamus’ prophetic masterpiece Les Propheties, initially published in serialized form between the years 1555 and 1560:

Mabus puis tost alors mourra, viendra,
De gens & bestes vne horrible defaite:
Puis tout à coup la vengeance on verra,
Cent, main, soif, faim, quand courra la comete.

Mabus will soon die, then will come,
A horrible unraveling of people and animals,

The Third Antichrist very soon annihilated,

Let us go through the milestones that Saddam and Usama tally up to be candidate number one. (A full examination of all the Nostradamus Antichrist prophecies and potential past and future candidates can be had by reading my e-book. Click on Antichrist.

Being a dead candidate is the first and dubious milestone both share. Both violently annihilated: Saddam was hanged at the 30 December 2006, Usama shot by US Navy seals on May Day 2011.

Both men’s names can be found in the code name Mabus. Saddam backwards spells maddas=mabbas=mabas. Replace one redundant a and you get Mabus. Usama mixed around get us maaus. Take the b from bin Laden. Replace the redundant a and you get Mabus.

The horrible undoing of people and animals has not been made clear. It could imply the times in which they died, when the earth is seeing the balance of nature (animals) unraveling in devastating climate change caused by human abuse of the planet and overpopulation (people). There are many prophecies in Nostradamus about natural disasters, superstorms of terrible winds, global warming, vast inner-continental droughts at latitude 48 degrees across the world, all leading to a global famine and a third world war that may see two-thirds of the human race consumed.

It is not made clear in the prophecies if the Antichrist and the war arising from his annihilation triggers this unraveling of civilization and mass animal extinctions from a global catastrophe he caused. Indeed, the fact that Nostradamus does not directly tie the Third Antichrist to nearly 100 prophecies on this theme except for the nebulous connection made in 2 Q62 indicates to me that the unraveling of people and animals describes the times in which the Antichrist’s added catastrophe of a post mortem war takes place.

This however does not ignore the potential of either some terrible terrorist reprisal (in the case of Usama) or an unraveling of the Arab world because of a future breakup of Saddam’s Iraq as causes for the unraveling of the world. Saddam had famously predicted before being hanged that without his strong hand and dictatorship, Kurd, Shia and Sunni Iraqi’s would not be able to govern themselves and that sooner or later, Iraq would unravel. If the Middle East unravels, so does the oil industry that fuels human civilization. So, for now, I referee that the score is still tied. I conclude that 2 Q62, line 2 is dating the times in which the Antichrist dies, when humans and animals are enduring an unraveling of natural balances of the planet.

At once there is vengeance?

Saddam’s death did not see “immediately after” an unraveling of people and animals. We wait to see if this will happen in the next few months or years after the death of Usama. Score remains the same:

The line saying at once there will be vengeance is openly vague to embrace a future act of vengeance in retaliation to the killing of the Antichrist. One cannot say vengeance actually came from supporters of dead Saddam, although the worst years of the Iraqi sectarian civil war were ahead with the highest death tolls on Iraqis and US-coalition forces in the crossfire. Today saw the first reprisal bombings for Usama’s killing by Pakistani Taliban elements allied to al-Qaeda. Two suicide bombers killed scores of Pakistani Special Forces trainees as they gathered outside their boot camp facility in Western Pakistan to climb onto buses and minivans for a holiday. The death of 80 and the wounding of 100 of these does not fit the horrific reprisal implied that could ally 100 nations into an international counterattack. So, we are still waiting for something bigger to take place, perhaps in America — perhaps on or around the 10th anniversary of 9/11, or in al-Qaeda’s other favorite month to strike, the 11th month of each year.

No score change.

Now, if line 3 of 2 Q62 and part of line 4 are implying an alliance of 100 nations taking vengeance on a history changing terrorist act, then I have to give Usama a point. After al-Qaeda’s hijacked jet takedown of the World Trade Center Towers and drilling of the Pentagon on 11 September 2011 — a terrifying crime dated and foreseen by Nostradamus, see Osama — President G. W. Bush collected 100 nations into his alliance to seek out and destroy Usama’s terrorist network. Shortly after, in a few months’ time, US forces and the Afghan Northern Alliance routed al-Qaeda and the Afghan Taliban regime that harbored them in Afghanistan. Usama and his surviving core of al-Qaeda were surrounded in caves on Mt Tora Bora. The survivors, including a wounded Usama, only just managed to sneak over into Pakistan where he spent nearly a decade in hiding, overseeing a greatly reduced and crippled al-Qaeda.

The last line of 2 Q62 returns to the theme of describing the times of the death of the Antichrist: a time of great climate disruption (thirst=drought), the crisis of potable water and famine looming for the an overpopulated world that will endure the birth of the 7th billionth thirsty and hungry child sometime around July of 2011. One might argue that this population milestone tilts the milestone in favor of Usama, however the climate has been unraveling since global temperatures spiked and kept spiking from 1998 onwards, including the year Saddam was hanged in 2006. So, no score change.

I will save the comet milestone at the end of 2 Q62 for last. Let us jump to the next quatrain.

We see in line one of 8 Q77, how it links the annihilation of Mabus to the annihilation of the “Third Antichrist”. They are one.

The chemical weapons plume over Halabja, Iraq.

Let us jump ahead to the verse’s final line. The blood-soaked human bodies and the reddened icy or white spotted rain on the hemorrhaging bodies is a phenomenon seen on those killed by biological or chemical agents. Although a reprisal for Usama’s death may use these agents, clearly, Saddam scores one here because he notoriously used such weapons against the Kurds in 1988 in Halabja, killing thousands of civilians and on Iranian soldiers during the Iran-Iraq war perhaps killing and crippling 100,000 of them with mustard gas.

Now to 8 Q77′s line 3. This one leans in favor of Usama. He and his al-Qaeda jihadists are each considered by a vast majority of Muslims around the world as Al-muhartik (heretic). Since 9/11 to the present, most of the leading al-Qaeda planners, the cream of his suicide operatives who committed the act and thousands of AQ foot soldiers have been eliminated (dead), exiled from their countries of origin and made captives wasting away in a network of prisons far from home such as the US concentration camp at Guantanamo, Cuba.

Of course, one could argue that Saddam’s Baathist party henchmen are secular Islamic heretics also either eliminated, exiled from Iraq or crowded Abu Ghraib and other prisons. Nevertheless, Baathist dead and imprisoned have not made the historic impact of al-Qaeda dead and captives in a way that might have caught Nostradamus’ eye, so I give this one to Usama

Now to the most interesting new revelation in Nostradamus that only could be recognized after the death of Usama. Line 2 of 8 Q77 says about the Third Antichrist, “27 years his bloody war will last.”

Saddam fulfills this. The time he was made dictator, to the time he was hanged was 27 years of constant warfare for Iraq. Saddam waged a civil war with the Kurds living inside its borders as well as crushing a second Shia uprising in 1991, killing hundreds of thousands. Saddam initiated the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1989) killing a million people. He invaded Kuwait in 1990. He was thrown out of Kuwait with the loss of 150,000 soldiers killed and hundreds of thousands captured in the Persian Gulf War that followed in 1991. A low-grade war smoldered from 1991 to 2003 with US-Coalition patrolling a “No Fly Zone” over Iraqi airspace with occasional volleys of cruise missiles crashing into Baghdad in the mid and late 1990s. Then the US invaded Iraq in 2003 deposing Saddam’s regime. The Baathists fought a guerilla war with US occupiers then as Sunnis they grappled with the Shia in a bloody sectarian civil war at the time Saddam was hanged in late December 2006. A period of wars and civil wars that spanned exactly 27 years!

Score one for Saddam?

Not so fast!

New revelations have reached me today, which I have verified. Usama, back in 1984, established MAK (Maktab al-Khidamat) with Abdullah Azzam, an organization to raise funds and recruit a foreign legion of Arab mujahedeen fighters, mostly Saudi Arabs, to aid the Afghani mujahedeen’s guerilla war against Soviet occupiers of Afghanistan. Although Usama had been funding and fighting alongside Afghans since he completed college in 1979, MAK put Usama on history’s time map as a leader in a war — just the kind of prominence that a prophet from the 16th century would have recognized.

In 1984, Usama’s bloody war began, first with the Soviets, and then four years later, MAK became the foundation for creating and fundraising and recruiting al-Qaeda. Usama’s war shifted from Soviets and became a guerilla-terrorist war against Arab dictators, the Saudi King beholden to Western “Crusader” powers with a string terror bombings in the Middle East during the 1990s, as well as the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993.

Then came dramatic, large-scale swipes at US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 killing hundreds and wounding thousands. Then the USS Cole bombing at port in Yemen in 2000 killing and wounding dozens of US Navy personnel.

Then came his bloody war’s greatest terror act, the 9/11 toppling of the World Trade Center twin towers and setting alight the US Pentagon with hijacked civilian airliners killing 3,000. This lead to US occupation of Afghanistan in a war spanning nearly a decade, killing over 50,000 civilians and combatants from all sides. The drone wars over Western Pakistan commenced, killing hundreds more. The war in Afghanistan spilled over into a conflict between Taliban Pakistani guerillas with the Pakistani Army adding thousands to the butcher bomber’s bill.

Then Usama’s blood war ended with his death by US Navy Seal bullets just a dozen days ago.

Usama’s bloody war lasted from 1984 to 2011.

That is also 27 years!

Both Saddam and Usama win a point from me

Now to the last milestone. It is placed at the end of 2 Q62. Mabus is soon annihilated and all these events transpire “when the comet will pass.”

If we factor in how Nostradamus uses comets as portents, the most obvious allusion is not some comet we see in a telescope. It must be a great comet, one that is seen clearly with the naked human eye, like the one, for example, he successfully foresaw describing events in the future French Wars of Religion that could only happen under the unearthly glow of the great comet of 1577.

The early morning hours, just before the hanging of Saddam saw for the first time to the naked eye what would become the brightest comet in 60 years, Comet McNaught. There is no similar comet of singular brilliance seen by the naked eye at the death of Usama.

I know, I know. The emails will come flooding in about Comet Elenin, but it is not visible to the naked eye and will only become a visible smudge with a tale in late summer. No big light show like McKnaught is expected.

Yes, as it approaches the Sun it has been part of some pretty significant, and perhaps more than coinciding, surprises. As I detailed in my last blog, see Nostradamus, every time Elenin lined up with the Sun and Earth, there has been a significant earthquake on that day: the Chilean quake and Pacific Tsunami in February 2010, the Christchurch temblor in New Zealand, September 2010 and the Japanese quake and Pacific Tsunami of March 2011.

There will be two more opportunities for Elenin to trigger quakes of global significance come this September and November. If Elenin achieves a 5 and 0 on significant seismic events and tsunamis before it slips out of the solar system after November, then it could be considered the Mabus Comet and Usama bin Laden would score one on Saddam as Antichrist candidate number one. However, for now, I have to give a point to Saddam, because the comet allusions Nostradamus uses in other visions fits with this as a visible heavenly portent of the death of Mabus.

(Final Score, a tie: Saddam 6, Usama 6)

He is to die soon from a “dart” or “missile” not long after the death of bin Laden, it would seem, if one were to take a refreshed post-Usama-mortem review of the famous anagram prophecy Adaluncatif. PS–We are in the fifth month of 2011. Read how startlingly accurate Predictions for 2011 have been so far.

Today’s article is a tale of two poets: one a candidate for Antichrist, the other a 16th-century seer who may have foreseen an Antichrist’s terminal fate four-and-a-half centuries before it happened.

Peter Bergen, the last Western journalist to interview Usama (incorrectly pronounce Osama) bin Laden wrote in his recent Time Magazine article The End of bin Laden, that the George Washington of Wahhabi Islamic extremism, the founder of the al-Qaeda (the base) terrorist organization, fancied himself a poet.

He wrote a death wish in Arabic verse, which translates: “Let my grave be an eagle’s belly, its resting place in the sky’s atmosphere amongst perched eagles.”

Bergen rightfully called Usama bin Laden’s verses morbid. I too have read many of them. Bin Laden’s poetic metaphors take him down paths of myth and fantasy he does not anticipate too well.

Why be in an eagle’s belly? Why not desire in verse to the liberated eagle’s spirit, flying on footless pathways on air, soaring free in limitless sky?

Why desire to be eaten like prey? You then have given poetic power to the eagle that devours you. You are then just lunch.

What usually sits in eagles bellies in high aeries, digested and made effluent falling from high twig nests are a belly grave legacy: the waste products of devoured fish, rabbits and rats.

Usama bin Laden, I think the eagle had a near midnight snack of “rat” the day US Navy Seals in stealth helicopters raided your compound in Abbottabad on May Day (Pacific Time). These Americans put one well-aimed bullet through your morbidly poetic heart and one in your metaphor-muddled head. It is strange you wrote of resting in the belly of an eagle, because elite troops of the country you had attacked on 9/11 hail from a nation represented by the animal totem of a Bald Eagle.

Was Usama an accidental prophet in his verse?

A poet far less accidental in his verses of prophecy and no less morbid than bin Laden, was Michel de Nostredame, who wrote under the Latinized surname Nostradamus.

Those verses comprising his history of the future span the years 1555 to 3797 and beyond. Some focus on three Antichrists. The first is code named Napaulon Roy (King Napoleon). The second is Hister (Adolf Hitler). (Read more about these by clicking on Antichrist.)

Prophecies about a third and final Antichrist are definitely trying to find anchor in the present ever since his famous “1999″ prophecy (10 Q72) may have cunningly hid the date of dreadful attacks of one of four chief candidates for the Antichrist in our times, Usama bin Laden.

L’an mil neuf cens nonante neuf sept mois,
Du ciel viendra vn grand Roy d’effrayeur.
Resusciter le grand Roy d’Angolmois.
Auant apres Mars regner par bon heur.

In the year 1999, September month,
From the sky will come a great King of terror.
He will bring back Genghis Khan.
Before and after Mars rules happily.

In the year 1999, month seven
From the sky will come a great King of terror.
The King of the Mongols he will awaken
Mars rules happily before and after.

It is easy for non-French readers who have only read Nostradamus in translations to overlook the sing-songy, A-B-A-B, cadence of his quatrain poetry. Fortunately, this famous verse is relatively easy to convert into English preserving the meaning with the rhyme, not so true of many other quatrains, though.

Nostradamus clearly spells out a date for our times so it is most important. Far more important than 2012, a date he never mentions. (Sorry all you twenty-twelver authors who have made an industry trying to sacrifice the prophetic heart of Nostradamus by spreading him over the temple altar of your Mayan Calendar flights of imagination.) Nostradamus describes in this verse a history shaking act of a great terrorist coming out of the sky during the time China, becomes a superpower. They resurrect the memory of Genghis Khan.

The fact of the matter is, during the 1990s, the greatest king of the Mongol hordes who conquered China had be “rehabilitated” in Chinese schools by the Communist government as a good totalitarian role model. This fact is used to frame the time of this prophecy when Mars (god of war) rules happily before and after the terrorist event.

The dating in the first line has layers of meaning. The initial one being literal for the great earthquakes following those lands cast in the Moon’s shadow mentioned in detail elsewhere in Nostradamus verses in a solar eclipse. He says it takes place just prior to the great cycle of the centuries being renewed (the year 2000-2001). The path of the Moon’s shadow he described did indeed pass over Flanders, as well as Greece, Turkey and India during the eclipse of 11 August 1999. (Note the 9s and 11s). After which great earthquakes did rock Greece, and especially Turkey seven days after the eclipse in the city of Izmit, just outside of Istanbul, killing an estimated 45,000 leaving 600,000 homeless.

The important eclipse and date of the quakes in Greece and Turkey are also alluded to in the first line. Follow Nostradamus’ classical allusions and you can unlock his secrets. He plays with a double entendre on sept mois. It means the seventh month (July). It also literally stands for Septembre or the old seventh month September before Roman dictator Julius Caesar and Emperor Augustus Caesar created new months named after them: July and August. In this quatrain Nostradamus implies both July and September. The old and new seventh months in the calendar bracket the solar eclipse in August 1999 before the great millennium’s turning that so interested him as a shift in human destiny far more significant that 2012.

There is a third meaning hidden in line one. It dates the violent, civilization-shaking action of a potential antichrist happening around what Nostradamus sometimes calls in other verses the renewing of the “great motor of the centuries”. This shift of the second Christian millennium to the third is incorrectly identified by most of us as the year 2000. Nostradamus was aware as many astrologers would be aware that 31 December 2000 is the last day of the old millennium. The first of January 2001 launches the new.

In Year One of the new millennium, the “great King of terror” descends from the skies in jets hijacked by his minions. They plunge like missiles into the twin towers, or the “hollow mountains” of “the great new city”, New York City, which Nostradamus famously described in detail in Century 6 Quatrain 97and Century 10 Quatrain 49. Veteran HogueProphecy readers will be aware of this but for all the hundreds of thousands of new readers visiting Hogueprophecy.com since Usama bin Laden was killed, Nostradamus not only used anagrams to hide names of future people in history, he also may have scrambled numbers in codes.

Thus, 1999 seventh — or September — month is a code dating Usama bin Laden’s attack. Replace the one with a nine. Replace the three nines with three ones and you get 9-11-1 September month.

In my book Nostradamus and the Antichrist, Code Named: Mabus, I show how applying Nostradamus’ rules of anagramming can see the names of four historic figures waging the so-called War on Terror that Usama bin Laden’s Pearl Harbor style attack started in 2001 decoded out of the anagram Mabus. They are:

1.) Usama (Maaus=Ma(b)us) bin Laden, if you replace one redundant letter a with the one letter missing in the puzzle (b), you get Mabus.

2.) g.w. Bush, if you follow the rule of reversing and turning letters upside down, g and w then make m and a, which equals Mabus(h). Drop the redundant h and you get Mabus.

3.) Apply the law of reverse-mirror imaging and Mabus=subam=sudam gets you the correct Arabic phonetic pronounciation of Saddam (suh-daam) Hussein.

4.) Apply the correct pronunciation of Obama (oubama or ubama) and then mix the spelling: ubama=maabu. Replace the redundant letter a with the missing s, and you get Mabus.

Depending on which side of this war on terror you pin your allegiance, either Bush and Obama are good leaders fighting the evil Saddam and Usama, or vice versa. What is truly remarkable and unique in Nostradamus prophecy is the potential confusion possible in the mind of the 16th-century seer peering into the dark potentials of centuries yet formed trying to isolate protagonists with similar names: Obama fighting Osama, for instance.

I mean, how many times have you, my readers, caught yourself in conversation saying Obama when you meant Osama or made the gaff the other way around? Even love-Obama blinded comedian Bill Maher on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher accidentally on purpose last Friday made the slip calling Osama Obama on live TV.

Imagine if you were not mesmerized by a 21st-century TV but under the spell of some 16th-century magical litany running in your nutmeg buzzed head in the middle of the night as you sit yourself in a white hooded robe, barefoot, on a brass tripod over a boiling bowl of steaming sulfuric waters. You are not talking at the TV this time but you are having a paranormal conversation, either with your own psychotic secret self, or a disincarnated “messenger” with his hair on fire, you just conjured out of the ethers with your laurel wand.

You blurt out in 16th-century French:

“Qu’avez-vous dit, Monsieur de l’ange de feu ? Obama ? Ou estoit cela Osama est le Troisieme Antechrist ?”

Translation: “What did you say, Master Angle of Fire? Obama? Or did you say Osama is the Third Antichrist?”

I am not at all certain Nostradamus could easily separate hero from antichrist in his prophetic verses about who Mabus is, but the prophetic consequences of the Antichrist’s sudden and violent death, as explained in 2 Q62 and 8 Q77, potentially stoke apocalyptic fires in the Arab-Muslim world.

We look at these in literal English translation:

2 Q62
Mabus will soon die, then will come,
A horrible undoing of people and animals,
At once one will see vengeance,
One hundred powers, thirst, famine, when the comet will pass.

8 Q77
The Third Antichrist very soon annihilated,
Twenty-seven years his bloody war will last.
The heretics [are] dead, captives exiled,
Blood-soaked human bodies, and a reddened, icy hail covering the earth.

In brief, Nostradamus uses similar narratives to link a longer vision in several quatrains consciously scattered out of sequence to protect future evil ones from recognizing themselves, changing plans and winning wars they should have lost as Nostradamus foretold. Line one in both quatrains above links them together because of similar language. Thus Mabus and the Third Antichrist are one, soon dying or very soon annihilated. The death either undoes the world of people and animals, or he is killed at a time when people have disrupted the natural balance of nature (animals); in other words, our climate changing times caused by human air pollution. Our times will experience the greatest mass extinction of animals since the death of the dinosaurs, if the current rate of natural land and ocean habitat destruction continues for a century.

Death of Mabus brings vengeance from his followers so terrible that 100 nations belligerently respond. Again, the mention of thirst and famine dates this event at a time when humanity has a growing potable water and food sustainability crisis ongoing.

The upheaval in the Arab world right now was directly triggered by higher food prices caused by more hungry mouths to feed in the year that will see the birth of the seven billionth child. Potable water as well is becoming the ever more rare and precious new gold — blue gold. Wars will be smoldering soon over water rights. Wars in the times of the Antichrist.

Mabus dies at the sighting of a comet. Does Nostradamus mean a great comet like Comet McNaught, the one appearing to the naked eye the night before Saddam Hussein was hanged? In two weeks time it became the brightest comet in 60 years.

Is it Comet Elenin, currently approaching the Sun at the time of Usama bin Laden’s takedown?

Elenin is very small and will be hardly visible at all. Perhaps its passing is more significant because of its yet unknown ability to trigger massive natural disasters around the time of the death of the Third Antichrist?

Amateur astronomers using NASA’s website have found that the Jet Propulsion Laboratory Small Body Database Browser has predicted the three most recent 7.0+ magnitude earthquakes with striking accuracy each time the small, nondescript Comet Elenin has lined up with the Sun and Earth upon its approach. Earth on first line up on 27 February 2010 experienced a magnitude 8.8 temblor hitting the Chilean coast sending a tsunami across the Pacific.

On the second line up on 4 September 2010, a 7.2 quake hit Christchurch New Zealand.

On a third line up on 11 March 2011, a 9.0 quake shook Japan sending a devastating tsunami into the northeastern coast of Honshu Island and other strong reverberant waves across the Pacific Ocean.

The JPL Small Body Database Browser calculates two more alignments of the Sun, Earth and Elenin in 2011 will happen on 26 September and 23 November.

Consequences stemming from the death of Mabus as the Antichrist may result in a 27-year war, though in his Epistle to Henry II Nostradamus says the war is 25 years long. They could be two different time lines, the 27-years first followed by a 25-year period. That is, if Nostradamus intended Saddam Hussein to be Mabus.

Nostradamus foresaw: 27 years his bloody war would last…

If you count the years from the time Saddam became Iraq’s dictator to his death by hanging you are describing a period of perpetual warfare, inside and outside of Iraq’s borders. It climaxed in the invasion and occupation of Iraq by US forces. These were caught in the bloody crossfire of yet another civil war between Iraqi Shia and Sunnis at the time of Saddam Hussein’s hanging, 27 years after he became dictator of Iraq.

Facts do parallel 8 Q77′s third line. Many heretics of true Islam are dead, banished and scattered. The final lines also imply the scattering of al-Qaeda, its many operatives and leaders now wasting away far from their homes in prisons, such as that in USA held Guantanamo, Cuba.

As stated earlier, Nostradamus may have mistaken two or more candidates as one Antichrist. Perhaps the “vengeance” mentioned in 2 Q62 – a possible retaliation to Saddam’s death and/or that of Usama bin Laden — is developed further in the second verse (8 Q77). The red rains might imply a use of chemical, biological or radiological weapons of mass destruction that triggers a further 25 years of conflict set in motion by a terrible act of retaliatory vengeance for the death of the Third Antichrist.

In my next report on new Nostradamus revelations after the death of Usama bin Laden, I will show how the milestone event of Usama bin Laden’s annihilation, his burial at sea, the Operation name of the Navy Seals attack on his compound all offer fresh insights into Nostradamus’ Antichrist prophecies. The new evidence ties the death of bin Laden to that of Libyan dictator, Muhammar Gaddafi, happening any time now but no later than 2013.

The 25-year war of the Antichrist may actually be caused by another kind of retaliatory revenge not initially anticipated even today by al-Qaeda. It may come out of Libya, infect and radicalize the Arab Revolution, dragging Russia and America into a terrible destruction of people and animals through a thermonuclear war no one but a few of history’s greatest seers, have anticipated.

Mother Nature’s World War Heats up

There are just too many things happening these days to focus solely on one subject per article. So I will periodically insert these new “PS Prophecies” segments at the end of articles.

A few words today about oncoming natural disasters. Before bin Laden was killed, the prophetic focus was on historic tornadic devastation as the North American winter of epic blizzards and historic storms transformed into the globally warmed spring of super-tornado attacks. The late April 2011 tornado outbreak in the US southern states that killed over 300 made me muse recently on Coast to Coast AM (link to you archived show page) that major disasters, politically, economically and especially seismic and climate-oriented seem to be slamming the human civilization once a month in 2011. I said for the first time and for the record on that radio show broadcast across North America that I may have to call the year 2011, The Year of 12 Catastrophes. For instance:

Yesterday was the ninth anniversary of the start of the US war in Afghanistan. It was a SAD day. That is, it was a day when CIA “teams” otherwise called members of the Special Activities Division (SAD) were airlifted and air dropped with units of the US Army 5th Special Forces Group to begin combat operations. With the ensuing years in my mind of ever more farcical strategic entanglements in a land noted for destroying empires (the Soviets being the last victim), my thoughts on this anniversary stray towards Nostradamus’ third and final antichrist, code named Mabus, and a war that has in my opinion become a strategic comic tragedy.

One of the candidates for Mabus was the man specifically sought by CIA and US Army Special Forces on 7 October 2001 that triggered the war, which has so far killed around 30,000 Taliban insurgents as well as erased from life 2,053 Coalition soldiers (1,245-and-counting being Americans) and wounded 12,523. The man, Usama bin Laden, and his al-Qaeda organization were the targets yet they are still at large. Moreover, nearly 119,819 coalition troops occupy and fight 93,000 Afghan Taliban while Usama bin Laden and his terrorists remain absent from Afghanist. The war goes on in a land he evacuated nine years ago that today has at best a handful of al-Qaeda fighters in-country.

A letter I received from “Dan” reminds me that we ought to apply a rare Medieval colloquial meaning to the 16th-century word Nostradamus uses to clue us into many of his quatrains about his third and final Antichrist, temporally slated to be among us today. The word is “terror” (effrayeur in Renaissance French). I’m assuming Dan thinks it is deffrayeur, which means to amuse, to divert.

DAN
“Un grand Roye d’effrayeur” means: “a great king of comedy”
“descendra des nuages” means: “will descend from the clouds”

HOGUE
Dan, you cite Century 10 Quatrain 72 as one example but your memory of the original French is wrong.

The line should read:

Du ciel viendra vn grand Roy d’effrayeur.

(From the sky will come a great King of terror.)

The inference popularly regarded these days is that Nostradamus visualized a great terror attack coming out of the skies, such as what happened on 11 September 2001 when Usama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda terrorist organization successfully hijacked airliners and piloted them into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The fourth airliner set to collapse the US Capitol dome crashed in a field outside of Pittsburgh, PA.

The prophecy’s first line says:

L’an mil neuf cens nonante neuf sept mois

(In the year 1999 Sept[ember] month.)

It is believed now that Sept stands for September and that the ones and nines should be read switched around in Nostradamus’ dating of the event:

In the year 9.11.1 September month.

Now that we have corrected Dan’s mistake let’s return to his belief that effrayeur had an old French meaning for a crazy fou, a cantankerous railleur, or a bouffon (all the usual labels for a court jester). Perhaps he is mistaking d’effrayeur as a word play for deffrayeur. Today I’d be willing to fly with the remote possibility of a double entendre — that a terror can also clown around with the Antichrist clues — in d’effrayeur. Interpretations ought to remain fluid enough to shine further light on this prophetic mystery story. I have not found a correlation in old French using effrayeur as a label for a frightening court jester. Clowns can be terrifying. Can Dan or any other Moyen français francofiles verify his theory below? What novels or other examples in 16th-century French literature cite effrayeur as a title for a clown?

The word effrayeur is an old now obscure word. He was a member of the traveling clown troubadour groups that eventually became circuses. The “effrayeur” literally was a character derived from the court jester and dressed rather oddly went around frightening people. The “effrayeur” could be bought or paid to frighten even intimidate specific individuals on an on going basis. There are novels written from that period that use that as the theme.

Not the King of terrors. The third anti-Christ might even be considered crazy by some because of some of the claims that he makes about religion. There are several quatrains that deal with a religious reformer by Nostradamus who will challenge the authority of the Vatican. When can this character be expected to arrive? Or has he and no one noticed?

HOGUE
The crazy factor of the antichrists is implied between the lines of Nostradamus’ prophetic account of the First Antichrist (Napaluon-Napoleon). Ambition drove him too far East. His armies “die in the white country” of Russia in 1812.

The next buffoon of doom called Hister is second Antichrist Adolf Hitler. Where to begin about listing the crazy crack-brained stratagems of this Hitlerian harlequin?

Who is the greater foolish Antichrist? The fool Napoleon who invaded Russia or the fool who followed him invading the same place 129 years later on nearly the same anniversary in 1941? The Germans freeze their wiener schnitzels worse than the Frenchmen froze their baguettes in the snows of Russia before Moscow.

After Hister there is one more effrayer-rant Scarmouch to Bozo the future. His code name is Mabus.

I wrote at length in my book about the Mabus code Nostradamus used to link prophecies by key words. For instance, effrayeur connects several quatrains purposefully scattered out of order throughout the quatrains of Nostradamus to protect them from easy understanding by candidates for antichrists who might want to change their forecasted ill fortunes. They were snooping around, you know.

It is believed that Emperor Napoleon received prophecy consultations from Egyptian books of fate and Empress Josephine’s reading of Nostradamus. Hitler’s propaganda minister Goebbels openly used Nostradamus’ prophecies in acts of psychological warfare against the French and English.

Best to scatter a larger prophecy in four-line quatrains to make the fishing job of Antichrists and their publicists harder. Good seekers are given clues. Nostradamus repeats certain words as possible links to other quatrains enlarging the prophecy. Gather those quatrains together with effrayeur written in them and you might fit quatrain pieces of a puzzle depicting a full prophecy about the third and final antichrist. Nostradamus loved puns and double entendre. I think it is possible he would us to apply the obscure and arcane Moyen Français meaning of d’effrayeur, if indeed there is one. Certainly using an apostrophe to hide deffrayeur is even more likely. It might allude to this King of terror being the third and ultimate psychotic prankster of the three.

An old French meaning for terrorist-clown-jester may allude indirectly to a 9/11 conspiracy overlooked. The Bush administration in August 2001 had actionable intelligence on an imminent attack by al-Qaeda on the American homeland. Some would say the attack the following month was a conspiracy of omission rather than the more popular scenario implicating the Bush administration fabricating a false flag-waving fraud attack on the USA to silence opposition in Congress and gain complete influence over the country under attack.

Beyond all the whys, hows, howls and wherefores promoted by the conspiracy-by-commission buffs, there is one simple reality that makes the fantastic tale of twin towers being wired with explosives, hit by remote control jets, etc., little more than the muttering brass cackles of clown horns honking in the dark. Consider a simple fact lying underneath all the phantasms of innuendo thrown into this conspiracy theory and see it for what it is: built on a foundation made of banana peels that even a zany droll trucking in on bizarrely huge shoes would slip upon, landing his big polka-dotted butt in a pratfall.

What lies underneath and supports this conspiracy is an assumed faith in the Bush Administration having the competence to pull it off. (honk-honk! Woo wooooo!)

Let’s calm down folks and remember: G.W. Bush of all people, President “bedtime for Bonzo” Bush, had to pull off this complicated conspiracy theory.

Now anyone who had read a series of evolving Neo-Conservative manifestos written in the 1990s by future key members of the Bush cabinet, such as Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and Vice President Dick Cheney, has seen these papers explain the need for a “Pearl Harbor” event to gain the political control needed to rapidly advance their agenda. Upon reading the transcripts I could detect a movement thinking out loud and in public as Mein Kampf spelling out Hitler’s aspirations and schemes for political domination. The Neo-Cons needed a surprise terror attack on America that they could connect to two rogue nations that they believed replaced the fallen Soviet Union as the new threats to world stability and US hegemony. Rogue regimes in Iran and Iraq had to go, with consent of allies or by unilateral action if need be, because they threatened the disruption of precious oil imports the West and primarily the United States needed to sustain its role as a world dominant economy and unilateral global neo-Con cop.

Speaking once again of clowns and Antichrists, only a clown would resort to fabricating an elaborate false flag conspiracy rather than look the other way enabling another willing, fool effrayeur like Usama bin Laden to attack the United States. In August 2001, the Bush cabinet met at the president’s Crawford Texas dude ranch for the first of eight, lost and lazy month-long summer vacations in Bush’s two terms in office. The cabinet members had the reports spread on the Crawford Ranch coffee table about Usama bin Laden’s intent to attack and soon. They seemed to shrug it off. Is this testimony to their ineptitude or evidence of intent?

I do not rule out the former, but if the latter was the case, they knew Usama the Mournful Muslim Clown’s al-Qaeda organization’s power to hurt the country was limited. Al-Qaeda is no nuclear Soviet superpower. Damage sustained from a privateer Saudi terror cell would be sustainable — necessary even — to gain the political capital. Even President Obama, nearly a decade later, confessed to reporter Bob Woodward that the United States could “absorb” another al-Qaeda attack.

Thus, essays published by Neo-conservatives a month before G.W. Bush had his first debate with Al Gore in the 2000 presidential campaign openly addressed the advantages of a Pearl Harbor moment. It could be strategically achieved at relatively low cost giving Neo-Conservatism carte blanche to effect strategic domestic and international policy change as the emergency silenced all dissent while the nation rallied around their president. The people at home and in Congress in a state of national trauma would accept any Axis of Bush’s evil effrayeur suppositions mostly unproven as a righteous excuse to take down Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi dictatorship and perhaps even settle the score and overthrow the longtime US enemy Ayatollah regime in Iran.

In short, you do not have to fabricate a conspiracy to attack, you piggy-back and exploit someone else’s conspiracy. Remote control jets? Wire twin towers with explosives whilst keeping all those months of wall gutting construction secret from the 50,000 people coming in and out of each tower every day? I mean, come on? You’re the “Bush” administration. There’s limits to what you Keystone Cops can pull off. Why sweat it? Let the Hajj harlequin, the Lawrence-bin-Laden of Arabia do it. He’s willing to attack America on his own accord, on his own coin. He needed no prompting. He was the real deal. Bin Laden handed Bush and the Neo-Conservatives this dark comedy cloddishly called “The War on Terror”. Moreover, when Laden of Arabia and his best terror troops were surrounded up in the Tora Bora Mountains in Afghanistan, isn’t it interesting how easy it was for them to pass over into Pakistan.

Was the US 10th Mountain Division blocking the passes? Noooo! Some Pashtun clowns paid off by CIA operatives the week before to abandon supporting al-Qaeda, waited for bin Laden’s boys to saunter through throwing a higher bribe on the Afghan carpeted tent floor. Let those clowns go, thanks very much, into Pakistan where they are based and blowing things up in Afghanistan “and” Pakistan to this very day over nine years later.

It seems like the Neo-Clown-servatives in the White House circus needed bin Laden’s jihadist pantaloons in Pakistan and open for funny business so the White House Harlequins could start painting the war on terror in yahoo colors for a generation. The war was only a few days old after 9/11 and Bush already declared it would last for 30 years of more. How did he know that?

The Neo-Cons got their Effrayeur the Clown with bin Laden set loose into Pakistan.

I mean, history will show that there were a number of real dolts running the country during the Bush era performing the French medieval pantomime even Nostradamus might have suggested by using effrayeur playing the clown that goes “boo!” Usama the Clown wasn’t a big enough boogie Effrayeur. Let’s shock and awe Saddam Hussein who had nothing to do with 9/11 terror attacks but was sitting on the second largest oil reserve in the Middle East.

Oops! “Honk, honk.” They strung that clown up and someone else got the lucrative oil drilling deals, how silly. That’s a Bozo no-no.

Back to bogey man #1: bin Laden. And I just don’t know “Jack” about when that al-Qaeda clown boxed in Pakistan will pop out again. “Hoot! Hoot!” So color my alerts!

It seems the Effrayeur clown the Neo-Cons sustained in performance the longest was Bonzo-Bush the Clown. Scare the kiddies for fun you rascally effrayeur, you! A collage of fear mongering clown colors punctuated the presidential election year of 2004. Day glow “yellow” and orange “orange” alerts flashed like a jester’s nose whenever the president’s poll numbers dipped and presidential candidate Kerry the Clown’s numbers rose faster than a swift boat winched out of a South Vietnamese bog. The buffoon in the White House overdid his overblown and “ill” Pagliacci posturing with red bulbous nose-Fox-flashing network fear alarms. Even the lefty Cable Clown News Network (CNN) with Blitzer the Clown enabled a White House scare prank.

It was this successful three-ring circus of two three-lettered cable news networks flashing alerts on the public that in part kept the Dumbopublican Neo-Con regime in office. It would take another lost August vacate-tion at Crawford Texas convened the following year to break the spell over the land cast by Bush-the-wagin’-War-on-Terror Clown when yellow and orange alerts all came up Brown. Michael D. Brown to be exact. He was that horse-race organizer-turned-FEMA director who butterfingered the errant of mercy to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in the autumn of 2005.

Honk! Honk! “Brownie, you’re doing a heck of a job!” Honk!

(Oh! Go sit on that whoopee cushion, Mr. President.)

There are a number of modern-day “terrorizer clowns” who it just so happens find their names easily decoded in Nostradamus’ anagram for the name of his third and final Antichrist: Mabus. All the candidates are entwined in a showdown in the Middle East as opposing combatants.

A number of Usama bin Laden’s terrorist nicknames and handles letter crunch into Mabus. The most obvious of which is the correct phonetic spelling of his first name:

Usama = maaus

Drop the redundant “a” with the one letter allowed as replacement in Nostradamus’ rules of anagramming with the missing letter “b” and you get:

Usama = ma(a)us = Mabus

Now to the next clown in this war of terrible Bozos:

Take the “m” and “a” of Mabus. Turn them upside down to get “w” “g”. Switch these letters around to get “g” “w”. That leaves you “bus” for “Mabus”. Add the missing “h” and pop goes the weasel.

That leads us finally to the clown that sent more US troops into Afghanistan to fight the Taliban, who never attacked his country or held aspirations to do so. This clown-in-chief is an ally of the Pakistani regime that protects and harbors the al-Qaeda Punch and Judys who did attack America. This new American clown-in-chief will not directly attack al-Qaeda in Pakistan while Pakistan makes a useless show of engaging them with one hand and with the other hand gives money and support to the Taliban to fight Americans in Afghanistan who never attacked America.

Does this sound like a new low in US Bozo-diplomacy to you?

Replace one letter with the missing letter and you get “Obama” the Clown in the circus called “Vietnamistan.”

Predictions for 2009, Chapter 9: Will al-Qaeda Attack America?

My oracle had warned on radio appearances and in my blogs that the final months of the year 2009 were the more likely time windows for an attack. We had not one but two terrorist attacks using al-Qaeda’s new low tech, “lone wolf” strategy I had also foreseen in Predictions for 2009. Muslim American Major Hasan converted to an extremist view of his faith aided by contacts via email with an al-Qaeda linked cleric in Yemen. On 5 November 2009, he shot and killed 13 and wounded over 30 service men and women in Fort Hood, Texas, preparing for deployment to Afghanistan.

Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab, the Nigerian Christmas Day bomber got his marching orders also from Yemen. He was trained in the use of concealed materials in his undies to make a bomb that if the fuse had worked could have easily blown a whole through the Airbus 330-300 fuselage. I believe he chose his window seat, A 19, placed over the port wing fuel tanks to best deliver a blast puncturing them with intent to plunge a freefalling fireballing airliner down into the Detroit suburbs.

I have been writing frequently for years to beware of al-Qaeda hijacking holidays like Christmas. Fortunately, this first attempt to turn Christmas into a date of infamy failed. Notice the numbers. The 25th day of December equals 7. There is the 9 for 2009. Nine plus 7 equals 16. And 1 plus 6 equals 7. The jet was on approach for landing in Detroit on Christmas Day, 25 December. It was already the 26th in Yemen, where AbdulMutallab’s commanders trained him in blowing up his shorts. They would mark D-Day for 12/26/09 on al-Qaeda time, if you will. Add the digits for 12 and you get 3. Add the digits of 26 and you get 8. Three plus 8 makes 11. The year is 09. That’s 11/09: the reverse of 9/11.

In my new almanac of prophecies for the coming year Predictions for 2010, I cover future events starting from 2 November 2009 to the end of 2010. My oracle pinpointed Yemen as the next hot bed base for al-Qaeda operations:

“Al-Qaeda has had bases in Somalia for years. Yemen is also a hot bed of Usama bin Laden jihadists. Indeed, it may soon collapse into his grasp in 2010, giving him a new home if and when the Pakistani Army successfully occupies Waziristan.”

US intelligence up to reports yesterday (Sunday) was 90 percent certain that Mehsud was killed by the missile while he lay on the roof of his father-in-law’s house receiving a lower leg massage to relieve chronic pain from diabetes. Today an intelligence official, unnamed, told CNN that President Obama was briefed that Mehsud’s death was absolutely certain. Press wire services over the weekend describe a power struggle among his Taliban lieutenants is ongoing, though key commanders Hakimullah, Qari Hussain, who is known for training suicide bombers, and Taliban spokesman Maulvi Umar — made calls to AP reporters on Saturday insisting Mehsud survived the US death by drone attempt last Wednesday night.

For now it may be premature to declare Mehsud dead. Still, many of you have rightly asked if he is a candidate for the third and final antichrist foreseen by the 16th-century prophet Nostradamus. Those of you who have read Nostradamus and the Antichrist know that I have been on the prophetic trail as a kind of Sleuth-sayer detective, examining dozens of possible candidates for Antichrist for over 25 years. The hardest part of the case to crack is finding the true name of the Antichrist because it is hidden in an anagram. Nostradamus called his First Antichrist, PAUNAYLORON (an anagram for Napaulon Roy — King Napoleon). The Second Antichrist he code-named Hister (Hitler). In my book I reveal there are currently four contemporary figures that find their names decoding the Mabus enigma: Saddam Hussein, G.W. Bush, Usama bin Laden, and President Barack Obama. As you can imagine — if you are not already getting your buttons pushed — some of these candidates agree with one’s bias whilst others do not. My personal opinions or biases as a scholar of prophecy cannot matter in the court of prescient evidence, so, I must accept that some of you bristle at Bush as much as Obama being on the list. In the end, it may be none of these people. It may be Baitullah Mehsud.

Let us look at his name first, and then review the famous prophecy for clues:

Mehsud, also spelled “Mahsud,” is the phonetic spelling in Roman letters from the Pashtun script. Move the letters and it spells “Mahdus”. Apply Nostradamus’ laws of anagram. You can change any letter into a new letter if it is possible to reverse it or turn it upside down. Thus, “d” becomes “b” to make “Mahbus.” The rules allow you to drop one redundant letter, the “h”, to easily get “Mabus” out of Mahsud.

Now to the prophecy in Century 2 Quatrain 62 of Nostradamus’ Les Propheties:

Mabus puis tost alors mourra, viendra,

De gens & bestes vne horrible defaite:

Puis tout coup la vengeance on verra,

Cent, main, soif, faim, quand courra la comete.

Mabus very soon then will die, [then] will come,

A horrible undoing of people and animals

At once one will se vengeance,

One hundred powers, thirst, famine, when the comet will pass.

Cracking the evidence in the first word of this prophecy is the hardest part: who is Mabus. The rest of the prophetic steps are pretty clear. Mabus, unlike the other two antichrists before him dies at the onset of his evil destiny and his death triggers the terrible undoing of the world of people and animals in a cycle of vengeance, terrorist and counter-terrorist attacks that drag one hundred nations into war. It happens at a time of great global droughts (thirst) and the danger of global famine; or, these are the consequences of the bloody war of post-mortem Mabus.

Climate change is the culprit for many record-breaking droughts across North America, Africa, Southern Europe and Asia. Food reserves are at an all-time low. Human population explodes and the demand to feed nearly 7 billion souls is reaching a critical point beyond which agriculture may no longer sustain us. It would seem that Nostradamus in the final line is talking about our times. The time of the Antichrist.

Being a dead candidate is much more important than being a living one. If Mehsud is actually dead then he joins the other candidate most likely intended by Nostradamus to be Mabus: Saddam Hussein. However, unlike Saddam Hussein, Mehsud may have died on the day of a lunar eclipse, as some of you have pointed out, yet he did not die during the appearance of a great comet. Saddam Hussein is the only candidate thus far who has. He was hanged the day Comet McNaught, the brightest in over sixty years, became visible to the naked eye. Saddam Hussein also fulfilled more of the steps to attain the title Third Antichrist than any other candidate so far. Those of you who have read Nostradamus and the Antichrist, Code Named: MABUS know how I painstakingly came to that conclusion. I hope those of you who have not read it will consider why I conclude that Saddam Hussein so far is the top candidate. Still, there is another possible translation for the comet passing itself off in Nostradamus’ mind as a missile striking Mehsud and his masseuse from a drone plane.

I would speculate that if Mehsud were Mabus then Pakistan would shortly collapse into chaos. There will then be a nuclear war between Pakistan and India. The terrible destruction of people and animals would come to South Asia; the land ancient Indian Hindu myths declare was the birthplace of atomic weapons described in the epic poem, the Mahabharata (The Great Indian War).

We will look at these passages in the future.

PS — From portends of comets to solar eclipses we go. Back in a blog posted on 16 July entitled The Great Eclipse of 2009 and Nostradamus, I said the following, “Caution my occult heart and attend. The passing of the shadow of the 11 August 1999 eclipse could have forewarned of natural and civil upheavals. Is there something portentous overshadowing the economies and seismic regions of the two rising Asian economic superpowers in the months and years after part two of the great Nostradamus eclipse on 21-22 July 2009, if that indeed is what it is?”

On 20 July (Nostradamus and the Apollo Moon Landing), I posted this statement: “See the next economic crisis coming from the places where the shadow had fallen: India, China and Japan. Seismic activity or an intensifying cyclone and typhoon season may be the trigger. It will be natural disaster related.”

The typhoon season is hammering China and Taiwan with the 8th tropical storm assault since May. Today, in the Asian region it is already 11 August, the 10-year anniversary of Nostradamus’ millennium eclipse prophecy. A 7.6 temblor in the Indian Ocean was felt across a wide region including Myanmar (Burma), Thailand and the Indian subcontinent. As I write this, there is a tsunami warning posted for the Indian Ocean. Twelve minutes after the Indian Ocean rumble, a 6.6 quake hit Japan swaying the massive forest of skyscrapers in downtown Tokyo. It would seem the acceleration of seismic and natural disasters my oracle foresaw for Asia for the next few months is on.

What can prophecy and Nostradamus counter?

To Catch an Antichrist

Answering for Saddam’s prophetic significance caught and dead requires we first address a third element. What did Saddam’s capture and fall from power do to his stature as one of the top candidates for Nostradamus’ most talked about prophetic topic these days–who is the man code named “Mabus,” his “Third Antichrist?” People asked me in essence the following question in emails by the burnt server full starting the month of his capture, December 2003:

Does Saddam Hussein’s capture take him out of the running for Nostradamus’ “Mabus”?

This is what I said back then three years and three months ago. The brackets are mine from today for clarification:

In my opinion, it has put him back in the running. The American occupying forces might rue the day Saddam Hussein did not fight and die like his two sons, when cornered. If Saddam Hussein faces a very public trial the Americans will need to find some way to save themselves from being viewed and accomplices in many of his crimes against humanity in the 1980s. Saddam on the witness stand could talk about the years the US provided him with the satellite targeting intelligence and the materials to make his weapons of mass destruction. The same weapons that gassed five thousand civilian Kurds “and” hundreds of thousands of Iranian soldiers during the Iraq-Iran War. He could implicate [the twice serving former US Secretary of State for the Ford and G.W. Bush administrations], Donald Rumsfeld, and many others in the current Bush administration who had a hands-on relationship with supporting the Iraqi dictator in the past as their surrogate foe against the Ayatollahs of Iran. Saddam could weave lies with truth and successfully propagate the illusion that he is a martyred hero of the downtrodden Arabs and stir radical elements across the Islamic world. Finally, Saddam might face a public execution that could make his name a rallying cry of Islamic fundamentalists for the coming 27 years of terrorism. Thus as quatrain 62 of Century 2 in Nostradamus’ prophecies states: “Mabus [Saddam] soon dies” and he becomes the rallying cry for “a terrible destruction of people and animals.” Or, as Quatrain 77 of Century 8 adds, “The third Antichrist is very soon annihilated.” The Arab/Islamic world could remember Saddam’s trial as a farce of western Crusaders and their puppet Iraqi government. His public execution becomes martyrdom. Moreover, his martyrdom triggers the war of the Third Antichrist: “Twenty-seven years his bloody war will last…”

There are other scenarios, of course–other candidates who may fall early in their war, such as President Bush or Usama bin Laden and trigger a generation of new fighters and conflict. We shall have to see. If American leaders wish to avoid a scandal of historic proportions, they should block public access to the courtroom and keep Saddam Hussein sedated and mentally compromised throughout the coming trial.

ASSESSMENT (April 2007):
Saddam Hussein’s trial began 19 October 2005 before a Special Tribunal trained by US legal mentors and guarded within the US Green Zone in Baghdad by US soldiers. It was televised, until shameful and sometimes macabre court antics and shout matches between the judges and Saddam saw the live feed cut. There was no focus on US involvement in Saddam’s dictatorship. Either by intent or coincidence, the crux of this trial settled on allegations that Hussein and seven other defendants committed crimes against humanity with regard to events that took place after a failed assassination attempt in Dujail in 1982 by members of the Islamic Dawa Party. One could wonder why there was no public trial about Saddam gassing Kurds. Could it be that the Iraqi court’s US handlers might be embarrassed by Saddam’s defense lawyers presenting evidence of US culpability in exporting the materials and technical knowledge to build chemical weapons of mass destruction? Would the former Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld be called as a witness to explain just what he said as an envoy of the US to Saddam in the early 1980s? Did Rumsfeld and the Reagan Administration give Hussein the means to gas people?

There is now a notorious picture floating around the internet of Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam Hussein in Baghdad on 19 December 1983. Rumsfeld was then a first time around former Secretary of Defense for the Ford Administration. He went to Baghdad as a special envoy of President Reagan. Rumsfeld visited again on 24 March 1984. On that same day, the UN released its report that Iraq had used mustard gas and tabun nerve agent against Iranian troops. The New York Times reported from Baghdad on 29 March 1984, “American diplomats pronounce themselves satisfied with Iraq and the U.S., and suggest that normal diplomatic ties have been established in all but name.”

Ten months after the first and publicly televised trial of Saddam Hussein began, another was convened trying him and six co-defendants in abstentia for genocide during the Anfal military campaign against the Kurds of Northern Iraq. No TV show trial, that, with the focus of media attention trained on Saddam’s soap opera of a legal proceeding elsewhere. Indeed, within four months the Kurdish trial and those planned for other crimes against humanity committed by Saddam were discontinued after a rush to render death by hanging for the Dujail massacre proceeded on 30 December 2006. The preliminary stages of execution were filmed by the US backed and financed Al Hurra TV station. Nothing more broadcast about this execution was planned. But soon a home movie of the whole execution would help give birth to Saddam’s new image as a dead martyr sacrificed by Shia thugs in the minds of many Sunni Iraqi nationalists and Arab Sunnis across the region.

A public execution did happen, as I predicted back on 31 December 2003, the most public of them all. A cell phone secretly filmed the sordid affair soon to be posted across the world on YouTube. The whole world watched, and still “can” watch the execution of Saddam in a video phone’s stuttering shutter tangle of glaring light and shifting shadows of hooded men, lurching in and out of an unsteady hand’s broadcast from somewhere in the shadows back against the wall of the dank, moldy smelling execution chamber. It is said the President Bush upon viewing the cell phone hanging shook his head in disgust for the way the al-Maliki government made Saddam Hussein’s execution appear like a lynching, a revenge killing.

The “Black One” did make the “Angry One” Saddam repent in his last moments, or, at least tried.

The cell phone movie recorded (black hooded Shia guards) mocking Saddam standing on the trap door moments before his hanging with an obscenely huge noose knot chaffing the left side of his neck and face. They chanted the name of “Muqtada” three times, rapidly. Sort of sounded like the Saturday Night Live deli chef yelling, “Cheeseburger-cheeseburger-cheeseburger…!”

Saddam Hussein sneered a cynical smile and asked in Arabic, “Is this how you show your Arab manhood?”

The statement cuts more than a Westerner would know. He implied that no manly Arab would praise a puppet thrall of the non-Arab Iranians, like al-Sadr. Saddam at death’s threshold lived up to his name to the last (Saddam in Arabic means “the one who confronts”). He was making a pro-Sunni Arab statement in final defiance of a government and justice system he had continually raged against and denounced during his trial as a pawn of the US and the Iranians.

The al-Maliki government stepped clumsily into their roles as Saddam Hussein had wished: as murderers of a great Sunni Arab leader. Shi’ites were the only ones physically present witnessing the killing. No Kurds or Sunnis need apply. They were excluded. The rush to hang Saddam for a Shia-only atrocity excluded forever public trials forcing Saddam to face his Sunni and Kurd victims, which were minion. Adding insult to religious blasphemy, the Shia government made a point to display extreme disrespect to every majority Sunni Muslim in the Middle East and the world. They killed a prominent Sunni Dictator–a figurehead in Sunni culture who, for better or worse, is thought of as a father of a nation–at dawn prayers on their scheduled day for beginning the holy celebration of Eid al-Adha. This is the festival of forgiveness and victory in faith marking the end of the Hajj pilgrimage. Shia’s celebrate Eid al-Adha a day later.

At the time of final edits for this article (12 April 2007), Saddam Hussein’s body is enshrined alongside his sons near Tikrit in Awja, the village of his birth in Anbhar Province, Iraq. The pilgrimage of vengeful Sunnis has begun.

Gazan al-Jabouri for Reuters reported the day after his hanging (31 December 2006) that, “In an outpouring of grief and anger from Saddam’s fellow Sunni Arabs at the Shi’ite-led government that rushed through the execution, mourners knelt and prayed by his tomb over which the Iraqi flag had been draped…”

A person in the crowd from Mosul decried, “The Persians have killed him. I can’t believe it. By God, we will take revenge.”

A Sunni Iraqi calling Arab Shias “Persians” is a racial slur tying the Iraqi majority and the al-Maliki government responsible for Saddam’s hanging together as lackeys of the non-Arab Persian-speaking Shia Iranians. What al-Jabouri overlooks is the general opinion held by the sizeable Sunni minority that the Iranians prop as puppets the al-Maliki government. There can be no peace or community shared under an Iranian controlled “democracy.”

Another mourner passing before the tomb of Saddam and his sons was heard to say, “All we can do now is take it out against the Americans and the government.”

Symbolic funerals were held all across Sunni quarters of Iraq wherein many swore revenge. Since that time the Sunni insurrection continues to gain violent momentum. The Shia controlled Iraqi government has made a monster into a mentor for freedom, a hellion into a hero for future generations of Sunni Arab resistance to all things Shi’ite.

Before he was hanged, Saddam Hussein made a prediction:

“When I die, so dies Iraq!”

Triumvirate of the Medieval Minded Fulfilled

The winds of war blew out of Bush’s breezy demagoguery in his State of the Union speech of early 2002. He was right about Iraq, Iran and North Korea supporting terrorism, but like so many “truths” grasped by this president, their importance was sexed up by an almost Dark Age mind set about how one selects the facts. Back in the Dark Ages the European interpreters of records surviving the pagan classical times, mostly the monks of the Church, often preserved information that was either innocuous or in harmony with accepted dogmatic beliefs. The wisdom and accounts of the past that did not settle well with inviolate beliefs were burned. Much of what we know about classical mathematics, science and philosophy come to us from Muslim historians who harbored far more openness to all kinds of knowledge in those days. That open mindedness seems ironic compared to today’s Islamo-fascists who would like to bring on a Dark Age across the Islamic world as selective and censuring of free thought as that endured in Christian Western Europe during its dark time. It would seem the bin Ladens, Zarqawis and al-Sadrs of militant Islam would like to make true what was an apocryphal tale about the reasons behind a conquering Muslim horde burning the Library of Alexandria, Egypt, around 640 C.E. Standing before the great treasure trove of classical knowledge, Caliph Omar ordered his commanding general, Amir, to burn the books and scrolls, explaining, “They will either contradict the Koran, in which case they are heresy, or they will agree with it, so they are superfluous.”

President Bush is not a book burner but he is in some respects a throwback to Caliph Omar, when it comes to what he preserves in his head as fact and what is rendered to the Hades of irrelevance. We all have this dis-ease programmed into our minds to some degree. A man of great power magnifies the sickness. In Bush’s mind, he siphons as fact those bits that agree with what is preconditioned by a dogmatic neo-Conservative ideal of a new world order. There is a serene certitude to Dark Age thinking. Brand with the sweep of your scimitar who is evil and who is not. Let the devil be burned with the details in the library of self-reflection.

In Bush’s mind, by early 2002, the war machine was being primed to invade Iraq because it supported terrorism, because it had al-Qaeda camps within its borders. Don’t bother him with the bedeviling details that yes Iraq had supported terrorists, but no not al-Qaeda. Saddam’s patronage of terrorists was Arab secular. Fiends of an earlier terror, such as over the hill bombers like Abu Abbas and Abu Nidal, from the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization) had sought retirement in Baghdad. There was no axis of evil embassy there for al-Qaeda operatives. Yes, Mr. President, al-Qaeda did have a few camps in Iraq, but terrorist soldiers of Ansar al-Islam, a Kurdish Islamist group located in Kurdish-controlled northern Iraq, mostly manned these. Yes, Mr. President, al-Qaeda agents did frequently go to that part of Iraq, but, no, Mr. President, Saddam had no connection with them. The camps were in US protected parts of Northeastern Iraq, There was no direct connection to these camps and Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship except that they both were on Iraqi territory.

Any round of evidence that did not fit the square pegged hole of Bush’s worldview was discarded–such as the fact that Usama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein mutually viewed each other as an evil incarnate to be stamped out. Any dearth of evidence collected in the late-1990s through 2002 by UN weapons inspectors pointing to Iraq not having huge stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction were shoved aside. Any objective proof that the UN was relevant and had demolished most of those weapons shortly after the 1991 Gulf War need not be scorched like the Alexandria Library, just scorned by this president, his Vice President in Chief of neo-Con ideology and the bullying, plucky, fuss and feathering former Secretary of Defense, Donald (Duckian) Rumsfeld.

Ask Donald if we blow the lid off a dictatorship that tightly covered the pressure cooker of latent, centuries-old sectarian violence in Iraq. Will we be in the crossfire of a religious civil war? –nah!

Plan for a long occupation? –nah!

Put up to a half million troops on the ground to secure the country?–nah!!!

Secretary Donald “the Duck” Rumsfeld had wished upon a star, but Jimminy Cricket! His dream didn’t come true: Iraqis will meet an undersized US invasion force as liberators, with flowers–not IEDs. And their oil revenues will pay for “everything.”

An Axis of three nations fits Nostradamus’ augury about a triumvirate, but there is more “evil” than meets the eye. Axis Evil number one–Iraq–was going down first. The facts did not matter. Saddam Hussein had no secret alliance with al-Qaeda. Saddam had no connection to the al-Qaeda attack on 9/11, but he had to go first. North Korea had weapons of mass destruction, but no invasion of them was planned. Iran was and still is seeking knowledge and fissile material to build atom bombs. They have a terrorist network but it is not linked to al-Qaeda. It is a Shia network. The Sunni Usama bin Laden and his army of fanatics are enemies of Shia ideas of Allah. Yet thousands of Americans who would soon invade, occupy Iraq and get blown to smithereens by roadside bombs in the coming years believed that they were sacrificing life and limb to take down a dictator directly involved in the 9/11 attacks by al-Qaeda. After Bush’s Axis of Evil speech, US warriors believed the Sunni secular dictator was sewn to the hip with fundamentalist Wahhabi al-Qaeda, Mahdi seeking Shia Ayatollahs and godless, North Korean commies in an organized secret terrorist alliance.

An axis of evil misinformation propagates such myths: the Bush Corp President, the Pentagon and a fawning, spineless US press.

You can take that to the bank of freshly overturned earth laid before silent stone sentinels of Arlington Cemetery or any other cemetery across America were the graves of 3,200 dead American soldiers-in-counting rest.

Nostradamus’ vision of a triumvirate is fulfilled in our times but the fulfillment does not appear clean. Iraq, Iran and North Korea are involved in a collective evil of terrorism, but it is hardly an alliance with a single goal and philosophy. It is a terrorist “three”-for all. Still they are united as a triumvirate by a projection of alliance that is so strong and pervasive that even Nostradamus bought it when he saw its potential in the future. I believe Nostradamus saw the mask if not the reality. He foresaw what would be three Eastern kings and their countries eventually singled out for destruction and regime change.

Why not buy into that projection from the future? He was a Westerner, a Christianized Jew, sympathetic to a Judeo-Christian worldview. Not Islam, which he despised. Perhaps Nostradamus could be faulted at times for interpreting his signs like US presidents cherry pick their intelligence. He might have had his mind set hard as cemetery stone like many US soldiers who fought and died believing their own comforting lies that Saddam had some fantasy connection to al-Qaeda and 9/11.

I believe Nostradamus accurately foresaw the false faced alliance projected by President Bush and his speechwriter as “the Axis of Evil.” Prophecy touched future propaganda and its consequences in the fulfilled prediction of a new crusade occupying “Mesopotamia” (modern day Iraq). Nostradamus was fooled by the masquerade that launched ten thousand days of war to come–that came–and will continue.

February 2002–March 2003:
Coat that Dove of Peace with Oil!

All through 2002, my “oracle” anticipated bellicose intent hiding behind pretenses of the Bush administration to appear ready to negotiate with Saddam Hussein and appear open for the appropriate time of diplomatic politeness to ideas of French and German delegates in the UN Security Council. These had lobbied hard to forestall a rush to war with a proposed beefed up regimen of inspection in Iraq. They wanted to place thousands of inspectors across every nook and corner of territories still under Saddam’s administration for at least a half year. It was not going to happen.

Early in July of 2002, an important astrological configuration, foreseen by the 16th-century French seer, Nostradamus, might open a window for peace on earth and forestall an alternative destiny of a 27-year war of international terrorism. It could depend on America taking a bold new foreign policy change of course in its half-century dysfunctional relationship with the Middle East. The change may come as a result of a catastrophic war waged in the Middle East by the Bush administration sometime at, or shortly after, the end of this year.

A CALAMITOUS WAR UNDER CANCER?

ASSESSMENT (March 2007):
The war “did” happen shortly after the end of 2002–two and-two-third months into 2003. The alternative future awaits a new leadership in America, who in 2008 may turn the world away from the 27-year war foreseen by Nostradamus. Six months before there was an Operation Iraqi Freedom that led to an Inoperable Iraqi Quagmire, I presaged the cause of our global discontent with the Middle East.

Up to now, America’s relationship with the Middle East, whether guided by Democrat or Republican presidential administrations, has been obsessed with one fundamental concern. Not a respect for Islam. Not a love for the cultures of the region. Let us Americans be honest with ourselves.

We are there for the oil.

The people with the oil in that region know this and see through our succession of Democrat and Republican administrations that preach democracy, freedom and fair play in that region, when there is none.

I do not deny the ample dysfunction coming from the Arab and Islamist side of this tragic equation. However, as far as [Nostradamus'] prophecy [of a Calamitous War under Cancer] reads to my mind, it focuses on “calamity” coming to those ruled under the Cancer moon sign. It stands for America, rushing headlong into a new crusade against those of the “moon” sign of the crescent — Islam.

… Perhaps this current president has already set in motion a momentum for war that his pride and prejudice cannot reverse. Christmas 2002 may not bring “Peace on Earth, good will to men.” In the worst case scenario, the new year will open with a war that could drag on for nearly three decades and derail the American civilization.

Someone anonymously posted a message on the chat-blog page, The Friend Society saying al-Qaeda operatives in the US will mark the final day of Ramadan, this Sunday, driving trucks packed with explosives and radioactive dust onto parking lots next to seven football stadiums across America. They will blow up their trucks. Radioactive dust clouds downwind of packed stadiums will soil the crowds attending home games of the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins on the East Coast, while other truck bombers irradiate crowds in Central Standard Time at the Houston Texans home game, then finally a set of truck rad-bombs doomsday fumigate fans on the West Coast in Pacific Standard Time at the Oakland Raiders, and the Seattle Seahawk home games.

The posting boasts that initial explosions will claim 100,000 lives. That is going to be hard to pull off for a couple reasons. First, you have bombs exploding in games spanning three time zones. Blow up the East Coast games and no one will come near the West Coast or Central Time venues. Second, putting truck bombs next to seven stadiums might kill hundreds but none have the explosive power to take down the stadiums packed with hundreds of thousands. Nevertheless, thousands could die from radiation disease, and seven NFL stadiums and a square mile of surrounding city neighborhoods would remain off limits for decades because of the fallout danger.

If the warning is for real, Usama bin Laden will “appear” on a video tape claiming responsibility for unleashing an American Hiroshima on NFL Sunday, 22 October 2006. I expect he will do that end-zone touch down gesture, pointing a finger heavenward thanking his projection of God for a score. Maybe not.

The whole thing sounds like a hoax, or the wet 99-virgin dream of some computer nerd nabob or frustrated Jihadi-wannabe touching his private keyboard too often.

Jarrod Agen, spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security says there is no evidence the threat is credible. The department tried to contact the web site whose postings have never evidenced a vulgarity and tone of hate mongering Jihadist web sites usually display. No one is answering the phone at www.thefriendsociety.com.

Agen said NFL and city officials were not asked to increase security around the targeted stadiums, but…he adds, “Out of an abundance of caution, we thought it necessary to notify federal, state, local and private sector partners.”

Agen’s statement is, to me, a great example of Orwellian doublespeak. The threat has no credibility but look out, watch your back.

In other words, be afraid. Of nothing. .

It must be election time again in the Bush presidential era.

Two years ago, during the presidential elections of 2004, I noticed that every time John Kerry, the mummy and Democratic party’s candidate for president, advanced in the polls, the Department of Homeland Security put out a Code Orange terrorist alert. At every elevated terrorist alert level the people of America were told that certain evidence and sources implied that “perhaps” there was a terrorist attack planned by “somebody” undisclosed. Nothing certain was known about the threat, but the Department of Homeland Security thought it prudent to risk spreading fear along with an abundance of vigilance and caution. Orange threat levels came and went, with each passing of a toothless terrorist innuendo strengthening the Bush reelection campaign in the polls. The president was scaring us and taking care of us.

Once Bush won his second term, the color code alerts magically stopped and have never returned. The next two years passed with credible evidence of threat. Al-Qaeda attacked the London subway and bus system in July 2005. UK and US security forces did thwart a plot in August 2006 to blow 10 jet airlines out of the skies with liquid explosives disguised as ordinary carry-on objects.

Was there a national terrorist alert after these events?

Nope.

Real attacks in London did not warrant an orange alert, nor did hard evidence thwarting a plot to explode jets approaching the US inspire an “abundance of caution” to put America on natonwide alert just in case more jets about to explode were coming.

Who is wagging the dog of global terrorism?

Is it Usama bin Laden, or Karl Rove?

I do not know if US Homeland Security agents had enough circumstantial evidence to trigger a gazoo full of orange alerts that just happened to fall with greater intensity as the 2004 November elections came near. You have got to wonder. Ever since public suspicion arose during the election, the Bush administration stopped posting alerts now for two years in counting. Moreover, Tom Ridge, the former head of Homeland Security, did admit after resigning the post that the Bush Administration did put political pressure on his office for more terrorist alerts during the election year of 2004.

Now it is the culmination of a new election year. With Halloween around the corner, what kind of Orange pumpkin trick or treat alerts can we expect? Will there be the “treat” of official alerts without evidence like before, or will a chance crank email, officially rejected with skepticism but actively spread all over the world by Homeland Security be the new opposition stifling election “trick.”

Homeland Security has yet to post advisories about far more potentially corroborated threats coming America’s way from al-Qaeda.

Many of you last month forwarded a transcribed interview between Abu Dawood, the new commander of al-Qaeda forces in Afghanistan, and Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir. Most of you passed it to me via a link from the web site of a terrorist watchdog group called the Northeast Intelligence Services. The web site says they are a small contingent of experienced investigators working for a division of Hagmann Investigative Services, Inc., founded by veteran private investigator Douglas J. Hagmann.

Hamid Mir, the Pakistani journalist has a proven track record interviewing al-Qaeda leaders all the way up to their chief, Usama bin Laden. An interview dropping the names of Dawood and Mir certainly got my attention.

In brief, Dawood taunts Americans threatening that the next attack on their homeland will come from Jihadists masquerading Christian and Jewish names and false identities. You will not be able to profile the terrorists as bearded fundamentalist freaks of fatwah. Dawood warns all Islamic believers to leave America before it is too late. Then he identifies the leader of the attack by his actual names “Jafer the Pilot” AKA Adnan el Shukrijumah, a naturalized American citizen, Dawood says was “raised in Brooklyn and educated in southern Florida.”

Dawood did not give any more details about the nature of the attack or when it would come, though the warning that all Muslims should leave America, implies it is soon. Soon in Near Eastern terms is relative. It could mean this Sunday in football stadiums, or as late as 2008. Anyway, Dawood said the cells were in position in America and other Western countries. They can strike at any time.

I find it odd that any al-Qaeda leader would speak in detail about tactics, give names and imply a near future time window for an attack. Goodness me! You can even see a picture of the man who will lead the attack here. He does not look that Christian or Western to me.

Up to now, Al-Qaeda never surrendered any objective details about upcoming strikes. Is this a dramatic and daring change in strategy? A ruse to distract the West from al-Qaeda’s real plan?

Why has Homeland Security not broadcast this story with its reputable sources like Mir, as grounds for heightened alert across America? No, we get a global startle from what they call a completely spurious NFL stadium threat.

I guess we will find out who is wagging who’s terrorist tales and soon. The Dawood interview appeared on web sites around 16 September 2006. Since then two out of three Dawood predictions have happened: Afghanistan suffered a Taliban offensive during Ramadan, al-Qaeda suicide bombers blew down people and police in the streets of Kabul in a level of violence not seen since the Taliban were overthrown. Dawood promised Mir a video message coming from Usama bin Laden two weeks after their interview. It would signal a final warning before the new attack on American home turf.

Bin Laden did not show two weeks later. Does that undermine the story, or is bin Laden as sick from typhoid fever as Saudi intelligence agents said. Was he still recovering and too ill at the end of September to record the message?

Ayaman al-Zawahiri, the second in command of al-Qaeda, did post a video message two weeks after the Dawood-Mir interview. He did not mention specifics about an attack but told Americans to blame president Bush as responsible for what happens next to US souls on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. Then he added the American homeland to the hit list, “God willing! “

IS A NEW 9-11 SIZE ATTACK ON AMERICA COMING?

After Zawahiri’s message appeared, American forces suffered a dramatic increase of casualties on the streets of Iraq. October may yet prove to be the bloodiest month of the war, thanks in part to stepped up fighting by elements of al-Qaeda in Iraq. The American people are facing at last the nightmare scenario overtaking their forces pitted in the crossfire of what is undoubtedly a full-scale religious civil war between Shia and Sunni Iraqis. Just what al-Qaeda wanted! The Taliban are back in Afghanistan in force. Coalition casualties mount. Zawahiri harangued Americans to blame Bush “the failed Crusader” for all their woes and losses. These days, on the eve of the mid-term elections a majority of Americans “are” blaming Bush and his Republican Party, perhaps unfairly in the case of the latter, for failure in prosecuting the war on terror to victory. A protest vote in the upcoming midterm elections might effectively strip the president of one or both houses of Congress, undermining his powers to wage war on terror in his kind of “not always being right but never wrong” way for the final two years of his presidency.

So little is needed to tip the balance.

Even a small scale al-Qaeda terrorist attack on the American homeland in the weeks remaining before the mid-term elections could fracture the Bush Administration’s last claim of credibility. One US bus exploding, or mall bombing is enough to silence Bush’s often stated mantra that US troops fight and get killed and maimed in Iraq by the tens of thousands to keep the terrorists from hitting the American homeland.

Just one attack on a subway on US soil could lose this president his hold on the House and Senate. It might lead to Bush losing the presidency a little later through impeachment. Would this not be Usama bin Laden’s favorite typhoid fevered dream before he passes away, which I believe will be soon.

I must return one last time to the Stadium dirty bomb threat. There is one element that makes me quiver slightly with concern. All al-Qaeda attacks play the numbers in the planned D-day date.

Five years ago we had the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. The numbers 9 and 11 pun the US emergency phone number: 911. Then came the bombing of Spanish trains in Madrid on “3-11″ two years ago, then London subways blew up on 7-11* last year. Sunday’s presumed attack will take place on 10/22/06. Divide 22 by 2 and you get 11. The number 22 may hide a second (9) 11. Turn the date upside down 180 degrees to the left and you get 90./11/01. Drop a zero after “9″ and what do you see?

I see the Seattle Seahawks beating the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday.
I foresee a peaceful end to Ramadan in America. May you and yours enjoy a peaceful Ramadan too.

Now it is four years later. On this day following President Bush’s second inauguration, it is time to reexamine an authentic prophecy from the 16th-century French seer Nostradamus that may present his authentic label for the US president. It contains such rare and obvious clues to make it a sure prophecy for “Dubiya,” the much cherished and well-known nickname for President Bush. Century 6 Quatrain 13 of Nostradamus’ prophetic masterpiece from the 1550s says:

Vn dubieux ne viendra loing du regne,
La plus grand part le voudra soustenir:
Vn Capitole ne voundra point qu’il regne,
Sa grande change ne pourra maintenir.

A doubtful one will not come far from the realm,
The greater part will want to support him:
A Capitol, will not want him to rule at all,
His great burden he will not be able to maintain.

Nostradamus had a passion for hiding major historical figures behind their nicknames, especially if the nickname draws a wicked pun in old French. He only used the word “dubieux” (dubious or doubtful one) and its variant “dubieuse” once in over 36,000 words of his major prophetic work about the future of the world. The rarity is significant. It brings interpretive pressure to bare on its application to one important person in his future history, rather than using this word generally. An obscure Nostradamus prophecy becomes clear when an interpreter uses the right word as a key that unlocks its secrets. The word “dubieux/dubieuse” unlocks two quatrains (6 Q13 and 6 Q95) revealing a similar theme of two leaders, a father and son, and their checkered destinies. Are these the father–former President George Herbert Walker Bush (1988-1992)–and his son, George W. Bush?

This leader, at least from Nostradamus’ point of view is a doubtful and dubious one. That means he is someone that bears the burden of illegitimacy in the seat of power. He could be one untrained and unprepared for the job thrust to him by means or the fate of being born the scion of either a royal or political dynasty. He is a “doubtful” man expected to follow his father to the seat of power who is less equipped emotionally and intellectually for the job. It is someone who could have great visions without a grasp of reality to see them fulfilled.. It is true, that many of these caveats can be applied to a whole assortment of mediocre or ill-starred leaders since Nostradamus composed these lines sometime in 1556. Indeed this prophecy was applied by me in 1997 to a great though flawed leader, President Richard Nixon, and the Watergate scandal in my book Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies.

A good Nostradamus scholar is ever ready to consider new possibilities, especially if those include a word or phrase that matches a unique slang term or nickname. Until “W” or “Dubiya” Bush became president of the United States there had not been ANYONE whose name phonetically matched the word “dubieux” so closely!

Many sympathetic supporters of President G.W. Bush have written to me over the last four years arguing that this prophecy better applies itself to the man Bush defeated in the disputed (doubtful) vote count in Florida 2000, Al Gore. I would have agreed with them if it was not for the near-perfect phonetic match for Bush’s nickname–Dubiya–with “dubieux.”

A highly contentious debate in America over Bush’s legitimacy as a leader has only intensified in four years, yet so has his support. A sight majority of Americans believe Bush is a bold leader in war. He is a man of God in the White House and a compassionate conservative poised to revolutionize the country. However, to that half of the United States and the majority of the world that sees him as a dangerous, unilateralist “cowboy” president, they might find support in Nostradamus’ pun for “dubious” Dubiya. His detractors will remind us of Bush’s record breaking deficit spending, his cutting taxes by trillions of dollars just when the nation finds itself needing to finance and fight a global world war of terrorism. One might call the president dubious for diverting US forces away from seeking and destroying the perpetrator of such a war–al-Qaeda and Usama bin Laden hiding in Afghanistan–to invade Iraq. Is it not “dubious” to invade a country that has not attacked the US in the war on terror? If I invaded a country, cut tax revenue while draining the coffers of the nation by hundreds of billions of dollars–several billion a month–without any exit strategy, or post war strategy plan, would you not call me a doubtful one? It is nearly two years since Bush led America into Iraq. After a brief war and the violence of the endless post “liberation” period, 100,000 Iraqis had been killed. They are mostly civilians. Another 1,400 American soldiers have been killed and nearly 12,000 wounded in a subsequent insurrection for which Bush and his administartion never planned. But if the butcher’s bill for this war is not proof enough of doubtful leadership, we recently find out from the Bush administration that his original reason for killing and maiming all those people actually never existed. The grounds for going to war, ridding Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, was a fluke. It is official. There are no weapons.

“Bring it on!” taunted the president to the terrorists and they did. A war of terrorism rages on the streets of Iraq where there was no war. Now that country is on the verge of a three way civil war between Sunnis, Shias and Kurds. The administration’s solution to a deepening quagmire in Iraq is to spread the conflict into Iran with air strikes planned as early as the summer of 2005. Those of you who listen to me on radio and read my articles already know that I have used astrological divination to predict and date such a planned air strike on Iran coming no sooner than the latter half of this summer in 2005. Moreover, I might add that I reported this potential war many months before Seymour Hersh came to the same date and conclusions in his recent New Yorker article. See: SATURN’S PRESIDENT

If Bush’s behavior in Iraq is not doubtful enough then consider the Patriot Act that puts into doubt many freedoms Americans enjoy–now sacrificed to fight a war on terror. There is the dubious plan to partially privatize US Social Security. The president encourages CEOs to out-source US jobs. He promotes a Homeland Security policy that leaves the southern borders of the US wide open to Mexico. Each year millions of illegal aliens flood in–this includes hundreds of undocumented aliens from known terrorist harboring nations. But if rolling back freedoms is not dubious enough there is the rolling back of restrictions against industries polluting water, air and earth in the US that would make a Republican President like Richard Nixon (the man who established the Environmental Protection Agency) roll in his grave.

I have no doubt that supporters of Dubiya will cry “foul!” But four and a half centuries ago, someone cried “dubieux!”

Let us take apart Nostradamus’ Century 6 Quatrain 13 line by line:

A doubtful (dubious) one will not come far from the realm…

Beyond the argument that “dubieux” stands for “Dubiya” President Bush is noted for his lack of interest in visiting foreign lands unless it is absolutely unavoidable. Even now, compared to other modern presidents, such as Nixon, Carter, Reagan, even his father George H.W. Bush, and Clinton, he has put in the fewest frequent foreign flyer miles of any modern president. It could be said that he has and “will” continue not to venture “far from the realm” of the US.

…The greater part will want to support him…

This fits G.W. Bush. Though the country be divided, and despite those who latch onto all the themes listed above that support his being called “dubious,” it is a fact that after four years Bush gained significant popular support. He transformed a popular vote deficit of 500,000 in 2000 into a slim but telling mandate over J.F. Kerry in the 2004 election of 3.5 million. So one could say, as Nostradamus did, that the “greater part will” and did “want to support him.”

…A Capitol, will not want him to rule at all…

This prophecy contains not one but TWO clear and rare references supporting a US president as the theme of this vision: “dubieux” for Dubiya, and “Capitole” for the US “Capitol” building. Out of 36,000 words of Nostradamus, “Capitole” is only used once.

The line is ominous if it applies to Bush. At some stage the “Capitol,” meaning the US house and Senate, may move to impeach or force President Bush to leave office. Bush’s political party now has a majority in the House and Senate. I cannot rule out a long held gut feeling that Bush will find his presidency betrayed by members of his party. But we will see. Perhaps by the mid-term elections scheduled in 2006 the opposition Democratic party may take back the House of Representatives and Senate.

The last line says:

…His great burden he will not be able to maintain.

Few presidents have risked more in economic and foreign policy than G.W. Bush. He has made it clear that he intends to prosecute his agenda with redoubled intensity in the next four years, despite all signs of flaws and vague planning. His second inauguration speech defined a grand and some are saying militant vision throwing down the gauntlet to bring democratic freedoms to people beyond Iraq–to dictatorships around the world. Though he did not mention them by name, the emerging message between the lines of his speech to countries like Syria, Iran and North Korea is: become democratic “or else.” Does this mean that his presidency will fall because his ambitions are too doubtfully grandiose? Can he disarm or use military force to defeat Iran and North Korea, or bring democracy to the Arab nations of the Middle East, transform the US Judiciary, cause US tax reform, transform the US Social Security System all in four years? Is the president a visionary, or a dreamer burdened with a vision too grand and too dubiously thought out to maintain?

Einstein once said, “The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius knows its limits.”

Does Bush know his limits?

The president himself has said that his new mandate has earned him much “political capital” and he aims to spend it. There are others in his own political party that have also earned political capital for keeping mum about their differences with the president’s policies. Many Republican senators, legislators and governors want something too. Some leaders of his party deem Bush religiously, fiscally and politically extreme. They too will demand payment of political capital. So far Bush has not shown himself to be a good conciliator. Will he fail to satisfy both the religious right and the more moderate wings of his Republican party now in power in the Capitol?

Line 3 implies scandal and impeachment. Line 4 implies overreach and overwhelm. Perhaps line 4 also describes this president’s last “prophetic” hurdle. Will he be the first president in history elected under a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction to survive a first term unscathed “and” a second term without dying in office? Starting in 1840 every president elected under this conjunction in 1860, 1880, 1900, 1920, 1940, and 1960 has faced death while in office and has not survived. Ronald Reagan became president under the conjunction in 1980 and was shot by an assassin the following year. He barely survived his wounds. No one so far has passed unscathed through a first term to survive a second. For instance, Abraham Lincoln elected under the conjunction in 1860 was reelected to a second term in 1864. He was slain by an assassin shortly after. Franklin.D. Roosevelt successfully ran for a third term under the conjunction in 1940 only to die early on in his fourth term.

I have never sensed a death danger for President Bush from assassination. There is a threat of accidental death through a plane or air accident. However, it has always seemed to me that the strain of the presidency is most likely the source of his brush with death in office. It could come from a sudden and unexpected health crisis. If President Bush takes good care of his heart, he may break the curse of the conjunction.

I hope he will.

Now to the second Nostradamus quatrain using the word “doubtful” as a link. I believe it continues the vision of 6 Q13. The quatrain is the 95th entry from the same Century or “Volume” of Nostradamus’ prophetic work: Century 6 Quatrain 95. Many times the prophet continued his account of a vision in a second quatrain placed somewhere out of sequence in the same volume. This prophecy may continue the tale, shining more light on exactly what makes a second term of a Bush presidency such an unmaintainable “burden” that the Congress in “the Capitol” do not want him to rule. The prophecy reads:

Par detracteur calumnié à puis nay.
Quand istront faicts enormes & martiaux:
La moindre part dubieuse à l’aisnay,
Et tost au regne seront faicts partiaux.

By the detractor calumny (lodged) against the younger born.
When enormous and warlike deeds will go on:
The least part doubtful for the elder one,
And soon in the kingdom there will be patrician deeds.

Let us probe this prophecy one line at a time:

By the detractor calumny (lodged) against the younger born…

The “younger born” could be the 43rd president (George W. Bush), son of the 41st president (G. H. W. Bush). Someone levels a slanderous accusation at the son. Perhaps it is an unfair accusation, and G.W. Bush is innocent, but the calumny gains momentum.

…When enormous and warlike deeds will go on…

A detractor accuses G.W. Bush of scandal when he is fully engaged in a great war, much more wide spread and risky than experienced today. The president could be fighting a losing battle of occupation in Iraq sometime after July of 2005. He could rashly widen the war across the Middle East with a joint US-Israeli air strike on Iran to take out its nuclear industries. A military crisis with North Korea and with China over Taiwan could add to this president’s overwhelming war burden any time after late July 2005 through September 2007 when Saturn transits Leo–a time of intolerance, partisan mindsets and war. At the darkest hour of war, scandal undermines this president, or worse. He must answer those who question his military blunders, or even question his mental capacity to be president of the US.

…The least part doubtful for the elder one…

History already views the father, the “elder” Bush, as an accomplished unilateralist better able to establish and sustain military and economic alliances. The younger Bush is a unilateralist who in four short years has abandoned treaties and isolated the US from its allies and friends more thoroughly than any modern US president in history. This line may infer that a second term of Bush the “minor” will only sweeten the memory of Bush the “major” as a better president than his son.

…And soon in the kingdom there will be patrician deeds.

The word “partiaux” is a classic Nostradamian double-entendre for the old French “partial”–partisan. It also means “patrician.” The line could promise partisan debates in the House and Senate over Bush’s capacity to be president. If Bush became a liability to the future of the neo-Conservative revolution he would be “removed” one way or another by his own patrician class–the rising plutocracy that one now sees emerging in America. This is the same power class that would pit one member of the Yale secret society–Skull and Bones–against another in the 2004 election: the Democrat J.F. Kerry against the Republican G.W.Bush.

I have often said that the next president might be Senator Hillary Clinton leading a resurgent and “partisan” Democratic Party. However, let me set forth a few prophetic caveats. The Democratic Party cannot attain the White House and a majority in the House and Senate in 2008 if they do not support their reformers. I would consider it a sign of hope for them to win in 2008 if next month (February 2005) the party leadership should elect a reformer like Howard Dean as Chairman of the party. If they do not, then the emerging “patrician,” plutocracy of CEOs may rule this country for eight more years.

Strangely enough, scandal and tragedy may help the patrician aim. If the president were to fall from office in disgrace or die in office, his Vice President, Dick Cheney–his chief adviser for the neo-Conservative plutocracy–would step in as president. Look then to Cheney choosing a Vice President who will become the heir apparent of the neo-Con movement in the White House. Next, a health crisis with Cheney’s heart, true or fabricated, could see him step down as president or die in office. Thus Cheney’s Vice President, chosen for him by the plutocracy, could successfully run for office and perhaps lengthen their stay in power for another four to eight years.

A less seditious future destiny would see President Bush endure all crises and astrological curses to successfully finish his second term. Nevertheless, it is clear to me that Cheney’s plutocratic duty is to step down before the end of Bush’s term. Thus he will defer to a younger Vice President who will run against Hillary Clinton in 2008–and if he wins, the heir to G.W. Bush will run again for a second term in 2012.
