It has been a busy week so far and it has not allowed me time to write an article, especially as I had to prepare for a television interview for a Canadian television documentary. I am out the door very early in the morning to catch a plane. I will be back mid-afternoon Thursday. Maybe by Friday I will be able to write a few words about the Republican primary in New Hampshire, about Iran and all the saber rattling and also write something about my prophecy of 12 disasters for 2011. It was fulfilled, it seems. Until then, I take you back to the article already posted:

The last article I posted on HogueProphecy.com was 11 December, but I have not been idle. On 21 December, I signed off on the most epic of my annual almanacs predicting the events of the upcoming year. 2012 is significant, more so because of what we are making out of it rather than what the Mayan prophecies may or may not have intended. I had planned for a book of 36,000 words. The spirit of my “Oracle” had other plans. It flooded out of my soul, mind and fingertips a 65,000-word epic.

Many of you are already reading it since 23 December. You have made such a book possible when you began advance donating the cost of the book and more since 13 October to help me give it my full attention. The process took ten weeks, the last five being especially intense and sleepless in a final push. The great labor brought into the world this big literary “baby”. Your financial and psychic support was the midwife that allowed this “Mother” of all end-of-the-year Hogue e-books to come to life.

Now that I am somewhat recovered, I can at last return to more regular blog articles posted here on these pages. The work on the book was somewhat eased by there not being some catastrophic current event or historic milestone that required I pull out of the oracle’s composing zone to write an article. There was only one temptation. It happened near the end of this writer’s travail: the death of the “Dear Leader” of North Korea. His Kim Jong Il-ness. The jumpsuit filling, bouffant-cherub, Hennessey-swilling inspiration for Dr. Evil in those shagadilickly Piccadilly silly James Bond spy spoofs, the Austin Powers movies.

Despite Kim Jong Il-timed his demise, I had already anticipated the implosion to come in 2012 in North Korea when writing my 2012 book. So, if my oracle’s up to the challenge of getting the potentials for 2012 right, I at least had time to finish the book and get back to blogging before Kim Jong’s young-Un jumps into his father’s jumpsuit as the new “mini-me” dwarfish of baby-fat-fantastic dictator of a famine-stricken hermit kingdom. In the book I commented that Kim Jong Un at 27 looked remarkably like his chubby Papa before cognac, strokes and age shriveled that waistline and collapsed that hairy soufflé of a hairdo unto Un’s succession.

Dare I say it? The future of the dictatorship will be Kim Jong Un-bearable in 2012. For more details about when he and his regime becomes Kim Jong Un-sustainable join the swelling throng of readers who have received their advanced donators edition of my forecasts for 2012.

It is strange how celebrity deaths come in threes. I thought it was just a Hollywood custom. Something one expected of geriatric box office movie stars getting old, ruddy and flaccid like stellar red giants at the end of their cosmic cycle. It would seem that chance coincidence on the weekend 16 December 2012 takes the phenomenon beyond the cine-sin-city of my birth.

Though Kim Jong Il’s death is significant to my prophetic work, I could personally care less about this ugly little man, woman and child starver. Yet, an hour after hearing about Kim’s demise, news reached me of another death far more emotionally grabbing and significant to me. A writer I had read for decades and grew to respect for his confrontational and rebellious truth-seeking nature – damn whatever the fragile illusions of others he so often ruffled – had passed away.

The role he played I sometimes play with my readers. Many of you can love-hate me equally, have strongly differing views. You can rightfully or wrongfully judge my take on things as harsh and biased. Nevertheless, my furry owlishness on TV documentaries can resemble to some of you that moody owlish journalist glowering at stupidity through a haze of cigarette smoke. He could stare down with brutal dispassion the BS of others with that amber glow flushing his clean shaven moon face after one too many double-scotches on the rocks.

Some of you wrestle with my confrontations, the button pushing, the rebellion yet cannot keep away from these electronic pages, because with all my human faults and verbal savaging of iconic and dogmatic stances there is something here worth reading. There is a thread of truth worth weaving and perhaps even worth being tangled in.

Well, “Hitch” was that kind of writer for me. Christopher Hitchens, gadfly and atheist, rationalist to a fault, died like he lived, narrow and acid judgments, hard-loving truth-insights and all, encountering his painful end from esophageal cancer with courage on 15 December 2011.

Christopher Hitchens did something none of the US torture enablers had the guts to do. He underwent and documented waterboarding to see if it indeed "was" torture. When will Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and G.W. Bush show that kind of courage?

He died an atheist. Lord Buddha was also an atheist. The term would not preclude a chance that in life’s ultimate climax – death – Hitchens may have come to an understanding if not an outright and blissful dissolving into a greater reality. This understanding is far more ecstatic, vastly and powerfully “not there” – doing this “not there-ing” – within and beyond the surface mind’s childish stances adopting or rejecting dogmas based on imaginary friends called “God.”

I would say that the atheist, if he or she is not too stuck in cynicism and dogmatic stances but is a true skeptical inquirer into the mystery of existence, could be actually closer to enlightenment. They are not burdened with borrowed faith in their beliefs, which ever retard a real inquiry into existence. The atheist can be equally trapped by belief. A theist attaches to a belief (qualified ignorance). An atheist attaches to a “dis”-belief (qualified ignorance). Stuck in one or the other of two sides of belief, neither the theist nor atheist knows what Zen master Bodhidharma called the “no-knowing” mystery of existence.

Do not believe or disbelieve what Bodhidharma knew.

It only matters when you know.

The death of a head of state like Kim Jong Il was significant because of what will come in 2012 but it does not touch my heart like the passing of another one-time leader of a nation, the playwright, and imprisoned political activist- turned-statesman, Václav Havel, who also died on the weekend of 15 December.

With the decline and fall of Soviet communism across Russia and Eastern Europe, Havel became the ninth and final president of Czechoslovakia (1989-1992), then the first president of the Czech Republic (1993-2003). He was just the kind of human being we need sitting in a high seat of power. For one thing, he was “human” – not a member of that sub-human species called “the Politician”. He was a writer, an artist, a comedic satirist – just the kind of attributes we need in those who wield power over us.

It reminds me of an observation transcribed from a discourse of Osho, who is one of the more significant prophets foreseeing a new humanity born out of the travails to come in the 21st century. I published the following passage in 1994 for The Millennium Book of Prophecy. The system Osho foresaw for the new humanity coming transcends what we currently and incorrectly define as “democracy”. Actually it is “mobocracy”: either ruled by a mafia of the soul in the guise of priests, politicians and corporate billionaires who pull their strings; or, ruled by ill-informed, irrational amassed mobs of mediocre voters. Osho gives guidelines about how a bridge to that golden future can be built today by people that are the Václav Havel’s of our present day. The 99-percenter movement might consider Osho’s sage advice next year about how one can establish the next political system coming beyond democracy:

I would like all the universities – within each state – to call a convention of all the chancellors and the eminent professors; of the eminent intelligentsia who may not be part of the university; painters, artists, poets, writers, novelists, dancers, actors, musicians. It would include all dimensions of talents, all kinds of people who have shown their caliber – excluding politicians completely.

All Nobel Prize winners should be invited – excluding the politicians again… So from each state a delegation should be chosen for the national convention, which goes into details of how the Meritocracy can work.

From the national candidates there should be an international convention of all the universities of the world and the intelligentsia. This would be the first of its kind because never has the whole intelligentsia of the world come together to decide the fate of humanity.

They should write the first constitution of the world. It will not be American, it will not be Indian, it will not be Chinese – it is going to be simply the constitution of the whole humanity.

…And a world constitution will be a declaration that nations are no longer significant. They can exist as functional units but they are no longer independent powers. And if the whole intelligentsia of the world is behind this convention it will not be very difficult to convince the generals of the world to move away from the politicians.

And what power do politicians have? All the power that they have we have given to them. We can take it back.

The members of the World Government will choose the world president. But the world president will be chosen not from members of the World Government, but from outside. And one thing should be absolutely certain about him – that he is not a politician. He can be a poet, a painter, a mystic, a dancer, but not a politician.

Thirdly, I will assess whether the year 2011 did indeed end as the year of 12 catastrophes as my oracle predicted. We will examine whether the 12th catastrophe of 2011 hit with the deadly tropical storm Washi (Sendong) – the third to savage the Philippines in 2011 – crossing over the southern islands of Mindanao and Palawan. Washi’s ten hours of relentless downpour caused mountain landslides that have claimed 1,300 lives, rendered 300,000 people homeless – 100,000 of which are currently being evacuated because their villages, towns, roads and infrastructure has been completely wiped out.

Some demographer wag has estimated that when the kiddies are in costume looking for tricks or candy treats this coming Monday on Halloween Night there will be born a future little “Halloweener” somewhere on this planet that will break the population sound barrier, as it were. He or she will push the pedal to the metal or our apocalyptically quickening times to a speed of “Mac 7” – as in Seven billion people sucking out the dwindling resources of this ecologically overwhelmed planet. The “trick” will be, how we can “treat a sustainable future for that child where his or her belly will be nourished with food and his or her body will receive fresh water and adequate clothing. Will his or her mind be educated properly or dulled by disease and famine? Will his or her hopelessness be the seed of anger and desperation as they enter their teens and twenties. Will their anger be harnessed by a hundred Hitler’s in a near future world that descends into fascism to stem the emergency of breakdowns in global food, water and hope for the swelling multitudes of Earth?

The prophetic collective message from Nostradamus to the biblical seers, from native visions to Vedic, Islamic and Buddhist visions of the future bodes ominous. In effect, they all mostly support Nostradamus’ famous warning in Century 1 Quatrain 67 of his 1550s magnum-prognosticating opus, Les Propheties:

La grand famine que ie sens approcher,
Souuent tourner, puis estre vniuerselle:
Si grande & longue qu’un viendra arracher,
Du bois racine, & l’enfant de mammelle.

The great famine which I sense approaching,
Will often turn (up in various places) then become universal:
It will be so vast and long lasting,
That (people) grab roots from the trees and children from the breast.

This is a “real” Halloween horror story an awakening of human intelligence can forestall.

Today I am posting my 16 March 2011 interview for Raw Epicurean.net. It was written days after the great Japanese quake and tsunami shattered, then flooded out of existence, thousands of acres of Japanese farmlands along with claiming nearly 30,000 victims. The Fukushima nuclear reactor crisis further tainted surviving agricultural lands and put into doubt the fishing grounds off the northeast coast of the main (Honshu) Island in the Japanese archipelago.

Much of the farmlands of Queensland Australia had already been flooded by cyclones of record-breaking size and ferocity in January 2011. Central China’s winter grain crop had also failed due to bad weather.

Soon after Japan lost much of its agricultural crops near Sendai to the tsunami, the supercharged, globally warming spring rains and deadly tornado season flooded the Mississippi and Missouri river systems in the American bread basket states that are pivotal for feeding the planet. Hundreds of thousands of acres of corn and wheat fields were drowned along with many other foodstuffs.

Summer came, burned, and desiccated the peanut, corn and wheat crops of Texas to the tune of a five billion dollar loss. Then came the typhoons in Asia inundating the rice fields from Southeast China to the Philippines and Vietnam. Then came a monsoon torrent that by itself, and without cyclonic storms, drowned the crops of eastern India and nearly all of Thailand in the worst monsoon floods of a half-century. As I write this, the deluge has run down the rivers into Thailand’s capital. Bangkok streets are underwater.

The impact on rising food prices and threats of famine for 2012 is a major theme in my upcoming e-book Predictions for 2012. These fundamental problems arising from food either being drowned or destroyed by a more violent climate or food surviving the onslaught becoming too expensive for the vast majority of its seven billion people has pretty much fallen off the radar of ratings and interest of the mainstream corporate news. Certainly, other stories concern us now: the loss of American leadership and credibility in finding economic solutions to its debt problems. After Greece a deepening EU banking crisis concerning Italy and Spain all point to a slide back into double-digit recession by the end of this year or early in 2012. The year 2011 keeps pace as the year of 12 disasters with yet another deadly major quake, magnitude 7.2, this time in Van, Turkey.

Yet, worldwide food prices continue to rise, because of historic flooding and droughts in the precious cornucopia of wheat and cornfields in Australia, Southeast Asia, South Asia and North America. The impact of all this strikes like a hammer on the alarm bell of population passing beyond sustainable levels this Halloween. That night we dress up as ghosts and play act scaring and being scared; yet, Halloween 2011 will mark something really scary. Tens of millions of those in costume playing skeletal ghosts today could become skeletal ghosts of famine by the tens of millions, perhaps billions, in the coming decades.

This milestone of 7 billion consumers was on my mind when back on March 16, I typed my response to Ingrid Weithers-Barati’s questions for our Raw Epicurean interview. It contains my oracle’s original take on the threat and solutions. I think it is best timed to share these passages with you again, on the eve of Halloween’s seven billionth child.

INGRID (Weithers-Barati): I read your January 31st post “Revolution in Egypt: From Food to Global Fuel Crisis”. You mentioned David Brinkley and his thought on future food crisis. Great article.

INGRID: Picking up where we left off just over a year ago, and all that has happened since then with big agribusiness via senate passing bills, pesticides, and genetically engineered “food”, it seems our current food system is leading us down a dangerous path toward an emergency with food sustainability and security. I wonder are we already there?

HOGUE
We are already there; however, not primarily for the reasons you cited above. These are peripheral to the fundamental problem: we cannot sustain our current growing food demand on a dwindling and rapidly degrading agricultural supply.

The FAO estimates the world will need to produce 70 percent more food by 2050. The miraculous expansion of our crop yields in the last 50 years came from technological advances in what has been hailed as a Green Revolution in food production.

This near-miraculous advance in harvest volume could match our multiplying billions up to our entry into the 21st century. It could absorb our hunger demand at least to sustain a population of 5 billion in the late 1980s jumping to 6 billion in 1999, jumping again in the current year of 2011 to 7 billion.

If you would permit me to take a simile about food sustainability down an unorthodox path, the Green Revolution’s advances could absorb our hunger like the Ganges River in India famously absorbs human and industrial pollution. It has been scientifically proven that the Ganges with its loamy mud bottom is particularly unique in its ability to bear, filter out and purify itself of the burden of human and industrial waste. This fact may be one of the objective reasons why many tens of millions who live upon its crowded banks believe the water of the Ganges is “holy.”

With the turn of the century, something changed. The holy Ganges’ “hole” in which people dumped their filth and forgot it, ignoring the consequences of what happens downstream, has reached a critical mass of mess. Now large sections of the river are dead, other sections dry out for part of the year from over water use.

Food is like a river pouring out of the cornucopia made from our technological advances in agriculture. Around the same time the Ganges started going fowl, the river of food sustenance could no longer absorb our growing dump-and-forget of our hunger demands upon it. Our cornucopia cannot increase the flow. Our current understanding of how to increase crop yields can no longer satiate our growing number of hungry mouths to feed. People expect technology to refresh the Cornucopia, make it larger. Each person looking primarily to his or her own immediate sustenance only. They throw hunger into the river, letting the threat of an oncoming global famine “flow”, as it were, down a river of denial.

I understand that describing human hunger as a form of pollution is unusual, but new ages require new definitions from which new solutions can be created. The unconsciousness of our voracious appetite is a kind of pollution that is inhuman. It is fine for an animal not burdened with sentience to mechanically, instinctively eat and breed to abandon because natural forces beyond its mindless control will cull and decimate the species through the destruction of the range it creates, automatically restoring balance.

The bark beetle mindlessly destroys its forest resource. Lightning strikes, and the forest with the host of beetles is burnt down. The beetle population is decimated and new forest growth begins unhindered.

Instinct, then, is just a cog in Mother Nature’s unconscious balancing mechanism. Yet, this lingering habit of instinct, which is perfectly natural for an unconscious animal, carried over to human beings is perverse, because humans are gifted with a sentience that could understand what animals cannot. They can perceive the need to manage their population so that it grows in balance with the resources available.

A human behaving like a bark beetle, mindlessly populating and devouring its range to the point of crisis, thus setting itself for natural decimation cannot call him or herself, fully human. On the one hand we take too much of its water and on the other our genetic tampering could make the river of our food flow sterile by disrupting the fertility of seeds in unknown ways. We are spoilers of that river; carelessly dumping our hunger demand into the river of food production is like an inhuman act of pollution, like a beetle destroying the forest. The beetle cannot help itself. The human potentially can. That is why I am calling this human abuse today something more than exhausting or mutating a resource river of sustenance. It is pollutingly ugly, because it is animal-like, un-thought out, unintelligent.

Act like a bark beetle or a rat and you will die like bark beetles and rats, humanity.

Use that big brain, and you will not die like rats. You will live like human beings, aware of yourselves and your place as guardians and sustainers of balance in Mother Nature’s world.

Voracious appetite is animal.

Harmony is a human trait.

I wrote the above eight months ago at the beginning of the bloody decline and fall of Libyan strongman, Muhammar Gaddafi’s regime. Yesterday (20 October 2011), Libyan NTC (National Transitional Council) fighters rooted Gaddafi out of a drainage pipe after his convoy of 11 trucks tried to make a run for it out of his tribal home city of Sirte, Libya, after his last stand had collapsed.

Libyan "technicals" are trucks suped up with mounted heavy machine guns. The term "techical" came from the Mad Max trucks of Somali militia.

After dawn prayers, Gaddafi with about 100 die-hard followers and black African mercenaries, raced down the coastal road west to Misruata in beat up trucks and SUVs bristling with heavy armament. This rag-tag rout in camouflage and green bandanas must have looked like extras in a post apocalyptic NASCAR drag race in a scene from Mel Gibson’s Mad Max movies.

They didn’t get too far “beyond Thunderdome”, as it were – the bombed out “barter town” of Sirte laid waste and desolate by two weeks of unremitting bombardment and street battles with Libyan NTC rebels. This surreal, true life Mad Max movie met up with “Top Gun” about 1.5 kilometers outside of Sirte. Not in the cross hairs of a real-life ace Tom Cruise in a US Navy fighter-bomber. He was a French Mirage NATO pilot with a US Drone for company. Both plastered Gaddafi’s convoy with missiles. The remains of 11 melted, toffee-twisted auto wrecks and the fritter-mummified bodies of 50 of Gaddafi’s entourage attest to the violence of the French and US hell-fire missile pounding. One of the unidentified bodies might yet be that of Gaddafi’s eldest son and heir apparent, Saif al-Islam Gaddafi.

The eyewitness reports get a bit confused beyond the fact that Gaddafi and up to half of his guards piled out of the trucks just before they sprouted fireballs and headed for a copse of trees and two storm pipes to make their last stand. Rapidly on their heals where NTC fighters disembarking from a motor column of Mad Max-like armed “technical” trucks, no less post-apocalyptic looking than what had been rolling along and now melting on the tarmac that was Gaddafi’s column moments before.

We are told a firefight ensued, lasting several hours with losses heavy on both sides. Gaddafi’s guards began surrendering and it is said the strongman emerged from the drainage pipe asking what the NTC fighters wanted (guess!) before they started roughing him up, ripping handfuls of toupee off his head.

These NTC fighters are the only witnesses of what happened next. Gaddafi’s surviving soldiers were led away from the road to an uncertain future lined up against a wall, I expect. One al-Jazeera video clip displays a black African Gaddafi soldier, bare chested, lashed to a double-A anti-aircraft machine gun welded to a truck bed speeding through Sirte. To where? Only Mad Max knows.

The story gets scrambled. Did Gaddafi emerge from the sewer drain unscathed after the firefight? Was he wounded in the shoulder and clipped by a bullet on the left side of his head while he was crouched like a sewer rat in there? Cell phone movies of him bathed in his own gore with blood coming out of his ears and mouth may indicate concussion wounds from the explosion of NATO French missile fire. Perhaps the wielder of the cell phone video was too busy joining his mates kicking the crap out of Gaddafi before a videography of his bloody mask of a face had been recorded. What is clear in the chaotic cell phone movies is that Gaddafi was alive when he was dragged to a truck – then “fell off the truck” – then dragged again to a waiting ambulance ready to rush him under guard of a cavalcade of other road warrior trucks honking their horns in celebration to Misurata for medical treatment. According to Prime Minister Jibril of the provisional Libyan government in the capital of Tripoli, Gaddafi “died” en route from a bullet shot through the head in the crossfire of a firefight with pro-Gaddafi insurgents and NTC technicals.

Cell phone video shows the aftermath. The dead dictator, the gore washed from his face this time, is dumped on the dirty road with a bullet hole in his forehead just above his left eye. Framed in another cell phone camera, we see of the corpse “cleaned up.” We see the fatal gunshot wound. The ambulance drivers apparently could not touch up the gunpowder burn on the skin indicating death by “cross fire” at close range of a gun muzzle pointed “against” the forehead by a 9 millimeter pistol. This is the same caliber of a gold plated pistol taken from Gaddafi when he was captured.

At the time of this writing Gaddafi’s corpse is on display in a refrigerator cargo trailer in Misurata for anyone to visit. The provisional Libyan government acquiesced to NATO and UN requests for an independent post mortem of Gaddafi to prove he was killed in cross fire rather than by a gun totting mob of scarcely trained NTC rebel soldiers. All pretense of civility aside, it is pretty clear that Gaddafi met a very blood-soaked end “Romanian-style”, just as my oracle had foreseen 8 months ago in the passage above – summarily executed by his captors, perhaps with his own pistol at close range.

History has a weird way of repeating itself. In 1989, the Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu a close ally to Gaddafi in better days, also was caught fleeing his enraged and armed people. When his Communist regime fell a similar orgy of massacres and bloody street fighting ensued. He and his right hand “man” (Elena his brutish wife) tried to escape but were caught by police and delivered to Romanian soldiers who after the briefest of trials, lined them both against a wall and executed them. Like Gaddafi, their bullet-riddled bodies were filmed for posterity.

I enlarged upon explaining my Ceausescu-style execution prediction made in February the following month when NATO enacted its no-fly zone over Libya effectively taking sides in the civil war against Gaddafi’s forces, which were on the approaches of the rebel stronghold of Benghazi – the outcome at the time was uncertain:

The fall in late 1989 of the East German Communist regime Erich Honeker regime in East Berlin caused a regional chain reaction across Eastern Europe with communist dictatorships falling mostly with a whimper except one: the eccentric strongman Nicolae Ceausescu of Romania, every inch as daffy a dictator as Gaddafi. Relinquish power? Only over his dead body, like Gaddafi threatens today.

I predict Gaddafi and his son and successor Saif al-Islam (Sword of Islam) will die like Ceausescu, but unlike the Romanian bloodbath, it may not end the relatively brief fighting in the streets. Conflict could be protracted. Gaddafi may be dead soon but the fighting will not end with his life like Ceaucescu. It may only be the beginning of fighting between Libyans unless the same allies setting up a no-fly zone step in for a generation’s time to help them build a modern democratic nation.

The real work starts now. And this most tribal of Arab nations must find common ground and soon, otherwise the Libyan Revolution of 2011 with become a Balkan-style, Bosnian-Herzegovinian Libyan Civil War of 2012-2013 I also foresaw pitting tribal interests and grudges against achieving national unity. In this worst-case scenario, Libya becomes the Somalia of North Africa, a failed state in ruins, a haven for Islamic jihadist terrorist bases better able to strike the soft underbelly of bankrupt Mediterranean European nations as seems to be implied in the prophecies of Nostradamus.

Let us review a few prophecies of Nostradamus related to Gaddafi, the details of his death and a possible aftermath. Five months and ten days ago I recorded the following comment about the “death by dart” theme of quatrain (2 Q70) alluding to the Adaluncatif (Gaddafi Luna) quatrain (10 Q96) published in Nostradamus’ Les Propheties, way back in the years 1555 and 1558 respectively. At the time I wrote this below, the NATO no fly zone had just been initiated:

The air hunt for Gaddafi is on. This leads me to wonder if at this moment a prophecy penned four-and-a-half centuries ago by the French seer Nostradamus may be weeks, days or moments from fulfillment. Nostradamus’ prophecies most often see the future through the actions of his future countrymen and women of France, so the following prophecy has a very good chance for being applied to a target of future French air forces allied to a coalition of other European, US and Arab League air forces converging over Libya.

Nearly two months later, the al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden had been killed by US Navy Seals in Pakistan on 1 May. Thus, I wrote eight days later:

Five months and 20 days later, Gaddafi is killed. Osama buried at sea linked to that act connecting his fate with Gaddafi because of the strange riddle that opens a prophecy naming Gaddafi in an anagram:

Religion du nom des mers vaincra,
Contre le secte fils Adaluncatif,
Secte obstinee deploree craindra,
Des deux blessez par Aleph & Aleph.

Let us translate it line by line:

The Religion named after the ocean will overcome…

Actions of others can stand as a date. Around the same time Gaddafi’s compound was bombed by US F-111 fighter-bombers in retaliation for a Berlin disco bombing, Indian mystic Osho was on a world tour that famously had him thrown out of 21 countries because of CIA pressure brought about by the Reagan Administration. Osho means “oceanic.” While he was on his world tour, a CIA jet shadowed him at every stop. Osho and his entourage where forced by the local government to leave soon after. It did not matter if passports and visas were in order. Such was the case in March 1986 when Osho nearly found a haven in Uruguay after being hustled out of Greece. In May, when the process of getting a visa to permanently stay was nearly complete, in came the CIA plane and he had to leave. The next day, President Reagan extended the deadline of debt payments of loans sent to Uruguay and generously added more US aid. A month before, other US jets sent a missile into Gaddafi’s personal quarters. The shattered bedroom had a wall-sized photo-mural of the Libyan coastline and ocean. Does this connect Osho (oceanic) and the Gaddafi “oceanic”? Perhaps.

“KS”, one of my readers, today offers a thoughtful possibility that I will refine. Those of the ocean are the North “Atlantic” Treaty Organization, i.e. NATO. This organization took down Gaddafi by bombing his offensive assets, giving the rebels a chance to succeed.

Now to line 2:

…Against the sect of the son Adaluncatif…

Back in 1986, I proposed for the first time in Nostradamian study that Adaluncatif is an anagram for Gaddafi Luna or Gaddafi of the Crescent, Islam. Here is how that is possible:

Take out “Luna” for “moon”. That leaves you “adcatif”. Phonetic replacements allow the “c” to be the “cah” sound for “cadafi” (Khaddafi or Gaddafi). The “t” is the one letter dropped, as per the anagram rules. I would add that before Gaddafi changed the Libyan flag to a green field, it had the crescent of Islam in white in the original tri-color that the current insurgency has resurrected. Now to line 3 and 4:

…The obstinate, deplored [Gaddafi] sect will be afraid,
Of the two wounded Aleph (A) and Aleph (A).

A and A is a possible riddle for Gaddafi the father and his son and heir, Saif (a)l-Islam (a)l-Gaddafi, being mortally wounded. The source of this wound is described in 2 Q70 as a “dart”, i.e. a 16th-century attempt to describe the falling, pointed warhead of a missile fired perhaps on 20 October 2011 by a French Mirage jet on Gaddafi’s truck column. Nostradamus describes a “machine of flying fire” in 6 Q34 that lets lose the “dart” described in 2 Q70.

Du feu volant la machination,
Viendra troubler au grand chef assiegez:
Dedans sera telle sedition,
Qu’en desespoir seront les profligez.

From the machine of flying fire,
It will come to trouble the besieged chief:
Within there will be such sedition,
That the dissolute ones will be in despair.

Line 1 could describe the French Mirage jet or the US Drone used in the bomb strike on Gaddafi’s column. Line 2 describes Gaddafi’s desperate situation. He is the “besieged chief” in Sirte trying to make a breakout. Lines 3 and 4 could describe the disarray and rout of Gaddafi’s surviving soldiers and the last true believers of his dissolute, evil. They are driven by desperation out of his tribal home to a fiery and bloody end on the road to Misurata.

Now the “dart” (missile) prophecy of 2 Q70:

Le dard du ciel fera son estendue,
Mors en parlant: grande execution:
La pierre en l’arbre la fiere gent rendue,
Bruit humain monstre purge expiation.

The dart from the sky will make its extension,
Deaths in speaking: Great execution:
The stone in the tree [arbor], the proud people surrendered,
Clamor, human monster, purge, expiation.

Line 1: If I were a 16th-century man trying to describe an elongated and finned hell-fire missile or any finned bomb ordinance detaching from the wing of a French jet I might call it a “dart.” This missile or aerial bomb makes its full extension from launch to blast impact among the gathered trucks of Gaddafi’s men. Since Nostradamus heard as well as saw his future visions, line 2 might imply the drivers and men piled in the truck were cut down by supersonic missiles in mid-speech coming from on high from a source they could not see or hear because of the altitude and speed of extending death approaching. What happened reminds me of something I wrote in June about his foretold death coming from a French source:

Nostradamus best sees the future through his French eyes, his French conditioning and how it directly affects future French people.

The French under President Nicolas Sarkozy have been the most bellicose of the NATO allies in prosecuting an air war against Gaddafi’s military assets. From the start, French air forces have openly targeted Libyan command and control targets as ruthlessly as they can in the hopes of killing the assumptive heir and the dictator of Libya. I predict it will be revealed in the future that Sarkozy’s French military policy in Libya is decapitation of the Gaddafi regime. He intends — and he will succeed — in launching a dart or “missile” from the sky that will cause the great execution of Gaddafi in mid speech (deaths in speaking). He will start a sentence he will not complete as a French missile takes him out.

It may be an interesting coincidence only. The quatrain’s indexing (70) is a near miss for the year 1969 when Gaddafi overthrew King Idris of Libya.

This future was a near miss by French missile strikes. Gaddafi survived though blast effects could have injured him. Review again lines 3 and 4 of the above quatrain:

The stone in the tree [arbor], the proud people surrendered,
Clamor, human monster, purge, expiation.

Remember, Gaddafi and the surviving men ran under the cover of trees to hide inside two cement drainage pipes. Thus line 3’s riddle implies the stone (cement) and the tree (the tree cover). After a fire fight Gaddafi’s bodyguards surrendered. Gaddafi is described in one report emerging from the drain pipe standing proudly with head held upright demanding who the attackers where and what did they want with him (the proud people surrendered).

Line 4 may forecast in Nostradamus’ mind the images and shouting of “God is Great!” in Arabic, yet unborn for centuries to come when it would be recorded by cell phones. He may have seen centuries ago what we saw just recently, the clamor of the crowd of excited young rebel fighters pulling and punching at Gaddafi. The human monster is the gore soaked and wounded dictator looking like a bloody demon in Nostradamus’ vision. The purge of his followers shot down by missiles and gunfire. The expiation is Gaddafi in his final moments violently paying for the crimes of his 42-year terror of his people with his life.

I would like to hope that the final words of this prophecy lead after a difficult process of catharsis, purging and atonement to a national restitution of the wrong done to the Libyan people that will soon after bring a period of peace and unity to the country.

One way or the other I predict it will happen. It will happen either now through a democratic process, or after 2013 when a tribal civil war coming in the aftermath of Gaddafi’s death burns itself out.

I wonder though if this new riddle from Nostradamus may warn what is coming next in Libya and the Arab revolutions because it may be naming the provisional Prime Minister of Libya here in a quatrain indexed 1 Q56 in Nostradamus’ prophecies:

Vous verrez tost & tard faire grand change,
Horreurs extremes & vindications:
Que si la lune conduicte par son ange,
Le Ciel s’approche des inclinations.

You will see, sooner and later, great changes made,
Extreme horrors and vengeances:
For as the moon (of Islam) is thus led by its angel,
The heavens draw near to the reckoning.

The crescent Moon is the sign of Islam. The new Libyan flag has a white crescent in the middle black stripe of its red, black and green tricolor design. The Angel Gabriel is said to have appeared to Muhammad who helped him found Islam. The name of Gabriel in Arabic is Jibril. The Prime Minister of the provisional government of Libya is named “Jibril.”

There is a lot of sensational rumor leaking out of the FBI like a broken inkwell for thumbprints, black and obscure, very messy! Apparently an Iranian-US citizen acted as go-between on visits to Teheran with operatives of the al-Quds Revolutionary Guards to pay for and hire Mexican cartel hit men to cross the US border and assassinate the Saudi Arabian Ambassador. They would throw a bomb into his lunch plate at a crowded local restaurant in Washington DC then hurl bombs at the Israeli Embassy. The blood money pledged was ridiculously low for any Mexican cartel to reap the whirlwind of US retaliation, a mere 1.4 million bucks. That will get you  a sack of cocaine.

I have watched Iran since my Boeing 747 Air India flight made a memorable midnight run over the Persian Gulf during the first week of the Iran-Iraq War in September 1980 while I was on my way to meet Osho in India for the first time.

The details coming out of FBI agent’s mouths – and flummoxing Senators debriefed on 13 October by such – are as clouded as Octopus ink and it is just as fishy. The whole story stinks to me.

It stinks of right-wing elements in the US and Israeli governments waving a false flag. These elements would still like to see plan B of their strategic goals achieved even in an Obama first or second term. This newly “discovered” Iran terror plot sounds like a semi-fictional incident (like WMDs in Iraq). It is intended to distract people away from a growing Occupy Wall Street national now “international” movement and perhaps distract people’s attention in Israel away from the steady progress of the Palestinian Authority towards some form of sovereign status in the United Nations by “trick or treat” time – Halloween.

It seems like a good time for government back door propaganda to stifle dissent in America and Israel with an ultimate and nationally uniting action. Let us make up a war with Iran and in the venture take down its Islamic Fundamentalist Theocracy. This whole terror plot smells of shadow elements in the Israeli and American governments that would like to accomplish the destruction of the Iranian regime.

That aim has been the Zionist/Neo-Conservative agenda fomented by the former Vice President Dick Cheney as far back as 1992 when Cheney as editor and a future G.W. Bush deputy Secretary of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz, authored the Neo-Con movement’s first of many evolving manifestos published after the fall of the Soviet Union. These sought to convince Americans of a new enemy to sustain the military industrial complex of the US superpower after the end of the Cold War. After the Soviet colossus fell Iraq and Iran, modestly if fairly fit the bill. They both were radically governed nations bestride some of the largest oil reserves in the world that sustained the United States “and” Western civilization with crude oil. These rogue regimes, perhaps rightfully, had to go, either by economic pressure or through unilateral invasion if global consensus was not forthcoming.

The Neo-Conservatives moved from theory to power in 2001 with G.W. Bush’s administration initially crowding their number in top cabinet posts.

Bill Kristol is the current editor of the Weekly Standard and a number of Neo-Con papers including one published in September 2000 just before the Bush-Gore presidential debates musing about the need for a “Peal Harbor” event to advance Neo-Conservative agendas. Kristol, who like many Neo-Cons enjoys dual citizenship as an American and Israeli citizen, and who also think tanks for Israeli foreign policy, has called for open war with Iran saying about this recently exposed terror plot, “We have an engraved invitation.” Since 1998, Kristol lobbied for war with Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq and said a fortnight after the 9/11 attacks in 2001 that “even if evidence does not link Iraq directly to the attack, any strategy aiming at the eradication of terrorism and its sponsors must include a determined effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power." Kristol advocated this stance in 2002 through early 2003 as a board member to the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq that lobbied hard to successfully convince Congress to vote G.W. Bush war powers to invade Iraq.

In 2000, a Neo-Con manifesto openly pondered the need for a “Pearl Harbor event” to hasten their goals. Surprise, surprise! They got one on 11 September 2001 with al-Qaeda’s aid. Now they had their national emergency and Congress grasped by its left or right leaning “balls.” The Neo-cons could make their puppet president do or say whatever they wanted because the hysteria of national unity stifled rational critics. By false flag WMD scares, they succeeded in 2003 taking down Iraq’s Saddam Hussein regime. Iran was next.

US Plans for war studied and rehearsed from 2004 through 2006 were so brazen that I felt it was time to collect Nostradamus’ many references to a war in our future between Israel and America versus Iran because it seemed imminent. The first of two astrological windows for war were open during 2007. If the first closed, the next window would open in the near future in not far off 2015-2016.

In 2006, I began composing an e-book that matched up Nostradamus prophecies with the lightly veiled apocalyptic motives of leaders in the three potential combatant states. First in America’s highest office you have evangelical Christian war hawks in the Neo-Conservative cabinet of a president who famously said that “God” told him to invade Iraq and Iran was next. You had similar latter-day aspirations murmured by the Israeli cabinet and prime minister – some openly musing that war with Iran would be a portent for the Jewish Messiah soon to come. You had Iranian President Ahmadinejad loudly and notoriously proclaim his apocalyptic aspirations for Israel being “wiped off the map of history.” Even now the Iranian president opens every public speech, even before the United Nations, with a prayer for the return of the Mahdi. He is the 12th Imam, the final prophet who will reappear from his occultation to bring on an Islamic Armageddon that will take back al-Quds (the Iranian name for Jerusalem) and make the surviving Jews true believers of Islam.

The mainstream news as ever, overlooked the subconscious motivations beneath this three-way saber rattling for Armageddon. In early 2007, I deemed it was time to publish my findings about them and perhaps go on media outlets around the world exposing these prophetic motivations examining possible war scenarios of the 16^th century French prophet leading up to those purportedly recorded in the Hadith by Islam’s final prophet himself, Muhammad.

In that book Nostradamus: The War with Iran, I gathered a number of Nostradamus prophecies that pointed to a future military showdown with Persia (modern day Iran) by Western forces. These verses using contemporary names from the 16th century even mentioned the Persian Gulf and its narrow opening, the Strait of Hormuz, as the site of a future naval and air battles where a fleet will be “melted and sunk” by those of the “trident.”

As usual, there are layers to the riddles of Nostradamus’ wordplay. The seemingly obvious solution modern people might apply is a US “trident” class submarine that melts and sinks an Iranian surface fleet that consists of an armada of thousands of small boats — none of which are larger in tonnage than corvettes armed with a brace of Chinese silk missiles. Certainly the overwhelming force of Trident submarines or the hail of fiery death descending from missiles fired by US Navy carrier jets, cruisers, frigates and destroyers would be enough to “melt” and sink any suicidal attack by a flotilla of PT 109-pint sized Kamikaze craft piloted by Iranian Shahid (martyrs).

Indeed, Nostradamus may have named the US fleet obscured in another interesting word riddle. They are called “the True Serpent.” If you look down 4.5 centuries of Nostradamus’ future history of the world that has become our past, you will often find his riddles and descriptions using nicknames or flags flown by armies and or fleets of water and even air. For instance, we have “those of the Sun” in Century 5 Quatrain 11 of Nostradamus’ history of the future Les Propheties:

Mer par solaires seure ne passera,
Ceux de Venus tiendront toute l’Affrique:
Lure regne plus Sol, Saturne n’occupera,
Et changera la part Asiatique.

Those of the Sun will not cross the sea in safety,
Those of Venus will hold all of Africa:
Their realm will no longer be occupied by Sun (and) Saturn,
And the Asiatic part will change.

Reference to those of the Sun standing alone is open to many possibilities, but the reference to Venus (a code name for “Venice”) is often used by Nostradamus to describe fascist Italy during the Second World War. Though Italy had possession of Libya, Somalia and Ethiopia at the start of the war, they did not achieve control of Africa, unless this is one of Nostradamus’ alternative futures only partially fulfilled. Saturn’s color is as black as Italian Black Shirts and German Gestapo SS troops, symbols of Axis fascism

The Battle of Midway, by R.G. Smith. Three Japanese fleet carriers take direct and fatal hits from US Navy Dauntless dive bombers, turning the tide of the war on the Pacific Ocean in June 1942. "Those of the Sun will not cross the sea in safety," wrote Nostradamus 386 years earlier. Perhaps his vision foresaw the great red suns painted on the carrier decks?

Those of the “Sun” describe the third Axis ally: the Imperial Japanese fleet, visualized in Nostradamus’ nightly reveries in trance as dark gray warships flying the rising sun flag. The US Navy and the Army Air Forces would nearly sink the entire Japanese fleet in the Second World War. The fall of the Japanese empire forever changed Asia, ending its colonial hold and that of Western empires in a series of popular anti-colonial rebellions in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and also witness the rise of a sleeping giant, the People’s Republic of China.

The true serpent fighting the Persians in our future may be another reference to a naval flag. In my book about Nostradamus’ predictions for Iran, I said the following:

Every ship in this vast US armada flies the US flag and a US Navy Jack. Note that it is a flag with thirteen red and white stripes over which an American Rattlesnake crawls under the motto “Don’t Tread on Me!” It is only in recent times that all ships of the American Navy hoist this flag. On May 22, 2002, the U.S. Navy ordered all ships to display the First Navy Jack as long as the War on Terrorism continued. Ceremonies to raise the flag of the “true” serpent took place on every US Naval ship on 11 September 2002, the first anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the “Pearl Harbor” event that launched the world war of terrorism.

On some near future date, or perhaps as late as 2015, the “true serpent” will “invade” the waters of the Persian Gulf.

So, with that said, is war with Iran about to break out earlier than the astrological window of 2015-2016?

My answer is emphatic.

It is no.

Gaming out this news of an Iranian terror plot this week is a propagandized step towards such a war happening when the astrological aspects I described in detail in the book open the potential for conflict once again about four to five years hence. Indeed the Navy Jack takes on new symbolic significance.

The true serpent flag is also the symbol of the American Tea Party. Perhaps in 2016 there will be elected a president of the United States who is a member of that “true serpentine party”? How ironic it would be if the party that often promotes America pulling out of wars in the Middle East actually got their man or woman into the White House who then led America into its third and most disastrous war.

Another scenario would have President Obama in his second term, co-opted by a Tea Party controlled Congress who pushes him into signing on to Neo-Conservative aspirations for a war after years of negotiation with Iran went nowhere. It is a fact that Obama at present has chosen diplomacy first in his efforts to take Iran out of the nuclear arms race with Israel. However, he has left the apocalyptic door open that G.W. Bush and his Neo-Con handler, Dick Cheney, had closed in their faces by events at the end of Bush’s second term.

Occupy Wall Street Goes Global
This is not a movement of hippies, corporate media hacks and it is far bigger and more mainstream already than the Tea Party ever was. Occupy Wall Street keeps gaining momentum across the United States with polls showing 75 percent of Americans sympathetic or in full support of the movement. This weekend it spreads to “Occupy” movements across the world in Europe, Australia and Asia.

Three thousand gathered before the London stock exchange, and six thousand plan to camp, Ziccotti Park NY style, before the European Central Bank headquarter in Frankfurt. Demonstrations where held in 50 other German cities including 6,000 demonstrators in Berlin and 1,500 in Cologne. Thousands also gathered before banks and stock exchanges in Australia, South Africa, Taiwan, Hong Kong China and Tokyo Japan.

The demonstrations in the US are at last showing results politically with Secretary of Treasury and Secretary of State, Tim Geithner and Hillary Clinton sending clear signals Friday that more bank reforms are coming and must come.

On an ominous note, peaceful protests on Friday and today were eclipsed in Rome with widespread violence. The blazing cars, shattered shop, and bank glass windows of Roman streets can be the future of this movement around the world next year in 2012, because Italy is far closer to economic default. Politicians are running out of time if they do not legislate banking reforms before this peaceful global movement must get their attention by rioting.

Are Atlantic Tsunamis coming Next?

Tsunamis come in protest movements. Will they be coming as waves flooding the North Atlantic coastlines of Brazil, America and Europe? The windswept El Hierro Island in the Canary Island chain for months now has endured a significant earthquake swarm symptomatic of an imminent volcanic eruption. Unconfirmed reports of volcanic material floating off El Hierro’s coast might indicate a submarine eruption has begun.

In prehistoric times a large piece of El Hierro sloughed off into the Atlantic no doubt causing a catastrophic tsunami. The satellite photos showing a green subsea plume of a purported fissure in the island’s undersea shelf on the south side may presage an underwater landslide that might cause a tsunami, though I doubt it would generate any to match the previous monster wave that raged off its northern shore in prehistoric times.

This situation deserves watching, but some websites are practicing prophetic hyperbole by inaccurately comparing El Hierro to its larger volcanic island neighbor Las Palmas as the same, even in photos used. For now, Las Palmas is inactive, so those of you who think a 130-to-160-foot wave will crash into the US eastern seaboard eight hours after an imminent landslide are mixing your mega disaster metaphors and islands. Moreover, most of El Hierro’s tsunami energy would go south to the West African coast all the way to Antarctica, not west, if we were talking about Las Palmas.

I consulted my oracle about El Hierro. In the worst case scenario a tsunami might arise as devastating to other Canary Islands as that which flooded Japan in March of 2011. The main visitations with sporadic harbor and coastal damage like what was experienced in the Hawaiian Islands and Santa Cruz California from the Japanese tsunami would range along the sparsely populated Western Sahara southwards to the Mauritanian coast down to the city of Dakar, in Senegal.

My oracle at this point does not see a major tsunami coming out of a future eruption of El Hierro. It is much more concerned with El Hierro’s volcanism triggering a Las Palmas eruption causing half the geologically unstable, western coastal mountainside of the island to suddenly slip into the Atlantic. Such an event would be a civilization-changing catastrophe sending a tsunami up to 160 feet high roaring 4.5 miles inland over the coasts of Brazil, French Guyana, Surname, Guyana, east Venezuela, the Caribbean islands of the Lesser Antilles, and the US Atlantic seaboard!

Europe would also be hit by significant tsunamis between 16 and 23 feet high, nearly as destructive as those inundating the Honshu coastal towns and Sendai airport, would visit Ireland, Iceland, England, France and Spain. The Canary Islands and the nearby mainland coastline of southwestern Morocco and the neighboring nation of Western Sahara might witness a tsunami flood 300 feet high!

In the year 2011, have ears to hear the first random chimes of the unsustainable before the bell toll quickens, multiply, gathering chimes in number down a decade of denial until it rings in constant, cacophonous alarm.

The year 2011 marks the crying advent of the seven-billionth child. The time the mainstream world will begin to experience the first inklings of a supersystem collapse to come in the 2020s.

Predictions for 2011

I have wanted to write about this most significant milestone since it was estimated we passed the 7-billion mark sometime this summer. I was waiting for the news agencies around the world to report it. This soul passing out of the suffering vaginal curtains of some mother, somewhere in the developing world punctuating the fact that another billion people have been uploaded on the back of our overstressed Earth since 1998.

Nothing of significance came out of the media. Our dark little secret that we are breeding ourselves to civilization’s death is something, like our genitalia and sexual proclivities. We do not expose or mention these in public. Sexuality is the root of our life force and unless we bring it into the light to explore and understand this root of life force, the path “from sex to superconsciousness” – as Osho would define it – will never get off base energy ground.

The summer of the seven-billionth child’s advent is passing away with little fatal fanfare for what that means for the future of humanity. I have waited long enough for the media as has my readers. Just today one of them asked that it may be a good time to review a four-line quatrain verse from the 16th-century king of prophets, Nostradamus concerning the importance of the great number seven being reported. Does this perhaps indicate Nostradamus at least wished to report on our overpopulation over four centuries before it happened?

Century 10 Quatrain 74 reads first in its original 16th-century French with my translation:

An reuolu du grand nombre septiesme,
Apparoistra au temps ieux d’Hecatombe:
Non esloigné du grand eage milliesme,
Que les entrés sortiront de leur tombe.

The year the great seventh number is passed,
Appearing at the time of the games of slaughter:
Not far from the age of the great millennium (2000),
When the dead will come out of their graves.

Back in the mid nineteen-nineties, I recorded this interpretation for Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies:

“During the Second Gulf War US pilots talked about airstrikes as if they were plays in an American football game. In a quatrain set for a future time when people treat the ultimate human tragedy of war with new lows of banality, it is a promise of hope that mankind will transcend its ancient tomb of fossilized traditions that have sustained endless cycles of war and rape, and be reborn into a new millennium of peace.

“The seventh number is the seventh millennium, the source of much contention and confusion amongst Nostradamus scholars, because the prophet counts us down to the date of doomsday or bloomsday with different starting dates. Either it comes in this millennium or a.d. 3242 — or even a.d. 3826.

“If before the year 2000 man can reject political power games in favor of a new awakening, the world may survive into the next millennium.”

Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies (1997), pp. 801-802.

We are on the other side of that millennium-turning cycle of centuries and as often is the case, these quatrains of Nostradamus may reveal more subtle and complicated layers of presaging hint to what this quatrain is dating when the milestone of great number seven is reuvolu (an old French word meaning accomplished, completed, finished or passed).

I would say that the millennium passing and the world population reaching seven billion 11 years later frame a date pinpointing a time when humanity’s stresses upon itself and the world will require we enter a period of apocalypse out of which may arise human childhood’s end.

We have passed the great millennium in 2000 and the great seventh number, the seventh billion, has been passed. The days of tribulation leading potentially to transformation of the human race begins now. The alarm bells ring in 2011 sounding an unsustainable future for “Stupid”. Time to awaken from our superstitious religions, our ignorance-based faiths. Time to redefine what it is to be human, tame our population explosion rather than keep taming and raping our Mother Earth.

I would say Nostradamus uses the biblical metaphor in the final line as a message to awaken, to see humanity reborn. Let us rise from the graves of our unconscious habit and fossilized dogmas. Let us be renewed.

This is the time to understand what the true meaning of Apocalypse is and become that Apocalypse.

Apocalypse!

The word conjures visions of divine revenge and the Earth splitting open, welcoming sinners to Satan’s reception. It threatens the final moment when destiny’s back is against the wall and history’s excuses have run out. It is a spiritual foreclosure. A time to pull a mantle of mountains over one’s head and hide from St. John’s acid trip of angels with swords for tongues, who hang on every bleat and low of a lamb with seven eyes. And why? Because Captain Karma (a.k.a. God Almighty) is looking in the Book of Life and your name isn’t there. The Judgment Day has come!

Apocalypse?

Words by themselves have no life except that which we invest in them. They pass down the centuries, taking on new psychological charges like stories whispered down a queue. The Greeks never intended this world to be a noun of doom. Apocalypse literally means “to uncover” or “to expose” the truth. There is a naked truth here, hiding beneath the changing fashions of syntax. However, the price of truth revealed might be a degree of change one is not ready to risk. Why else, then, do we react with such hopelessness and fear to a word that signifies the real hiding behind the false? Can we see only catastrophe in the revelation of truth?

As you advance through each quoted passage you will be traveling back in time to that third comment logged in the spring of 2000 and reprinted a month after the 9-11 attacks in October 2001. This comment appeared in my book Nostradamus: The New Millennium, published in early 2002.

It represents what is the real king of terror, descending from the skies Nostradamus foresaw in his notorious “1999” prophecy indexed Century 10 Quatrain 72 of his history of the future. Perhaps he did not completely understand what he saw; or, we may tend to project something more familiar upon a more abstract meaning to his Roi d’Effrayeur (“King of Terror) coming from the sky.

Let judgment fall to the jury that is time and events sitting and gathering evidence over a decade. I once again send you this message about your present and your near future. I predict the real terror descending from your skies is far greater than anything that happened on 11 September 2001 and you have the means to prevent it.

The first quote was written in the summer of 2008:

Effrayeur is a dreadful word.

In French it means: to frighten, to alarm, to terrify. It lunges from the Latin formido: dread, terror. It is sudden, throat grabbing fright, unexpected and disturbing to the core. It soars on the wings of an airline jet roaring through soft blue autumnal skies over the narrow valley streets and manmade canyons of New York – an outrage of noise that guides one to look upwards and see its source devoured by the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Violence! Instantly rejected in the vomit of hot acid fuel spittle, fireballs, thunder and the after note of human shock and horror declared in ten thousand expletives of disbelief from those who witnessed it.

Effrayeur is Lord of the Skies the moment perception is raped by accident becoming terrible intent. It comes casting its lengthening swift shadow over towns and valleys of the Garden State, soaring across green waters of the Hudson, accelerating.

The Lord of Terror comes down from the skies, heralded by ovations of disbelief as now millions of New Yorkers and hundreds of millions of people around the world, in tight lipped or gaping horror before television screens, beat bewildered and unbelieving hearts. Terror charges in, turning slowly on the wings of infamy, engines screaming at full thrust to perform a macabre disappearance into the South Tower of the World Trade Center as if solid steel and glass were a vertical surface of water and a 767 Boeing passenger jet was an Olympic diver entering that surface in a perfect dive with nary a splash. In an instant the perversion of physics is erased by fireballs and the disbelieving screams of millions, in public, standing upon balconies and streets around New York, or viewed on televisions in private homes, bars, restaurants, TV shops and offices. In that moment of outrage and alarm, terror, set free of hijacked planes, seized hearts in public and private places across half the planet as all in that moment understood these planes crashing into buildings were no accident but a brazen attack on the United States.

Nostradamus in 2 Q30, his Majus-Mabus quatrain, defined Mabus [his code name for his Antichrist] as fera renaiƒtre, effrayeur des humains (terror to all human beings). The word is a very important clue that might guide us down the anagram trail to another set of candidates for Antichrist, also from the Middle East, but unlike Marxist-Leninist leaning Palestinian guerillas and secular pan-Arabist tyrants like Saddam Hussein, these are fanatically religious men, servants of martyrdom and if they could they would drag the whole wicked world down in the eruption of their own self-consuming flames. They are candidates for Antichrist as infernal holy warriors of Islam.

The first leg of following effrayeur-linking words to other quatrains brings us before Nostradamus’ most famous dated prophecy:

L’an mil neuf cens nonante neuf sept mois,
Du ciel viendra vn grand Roy d’effrayeur.
Resusciter le grand Roy d’Angolmois.
Auant apres Mars regner par bon heur.

In the year 1999 and seven months,
The great King of Terror will come from the sky.
He will bring back the Khan of the Mongols.
Before and after Mars rules happily.

Specific dates are rare in Nostradamus but often accurate. This is the most specific he would ever write for our times. That makes it the most important to understand, to crack its code if there is one. It intends to mark a protean shift in human history proceeding from an act of terror coming from the sky. The King of Terror will bring back Genghis Khan, the King (Khan) of the Mongols. This is a metaphor used to frame something in the time of 1999 or thereabouts to a historical trauma still haunting the memory of 16th-century Europeans. Irresistible Mongol hordes had galloped out of Asia three centuries before Nostradamus wrote this prophecy. No European army of knights or siege walls could check them. The Mongols would have overrun Europe altogether had it not been for the opportune death of Genghis Khan’s heir, Ögedei Khan (d.1241), compelling them to turn their bridles eastward towards Mongolia to parlay for a successor. Nostradamus uses a metaphor of “yellow peril” brought back to challenge the West in 1999. What connection this danger has to the King of Terror lies obscure.

Nostradamus ends the prophecy with one last riddle. Mars is symbolic of war thriving happily. The higher aspect of Mars, however, is the Magus – the enlightened master and forger of new consciousness, new enterprises and explorations. Nostradamus may be using this noble title in a negative context, or to obscure allies and perpetrators of the King of Terror.

Let’s delve into more classical allusions.

The term Magus was originally applied to high priests of ancient Persia; are we thereby to consider this a classical allusion to the modern Islamic Republic of Iran “ruling happily” through wars of the Third Antichrist? If we are, then the renascent Mongol king is a current Iranian ally, a new “Khan” among totalitarian rulers of the awakening capitalist-communist hybrid superpower, The People’s Republic of China.

Then there’s the anagram tie-in to the Mabus quatrains. Take the g of Magus, turn it over and you have b for Mabus.

A deeper classical understanding of Baal Hammon-[or Thurbo Majus, the Latin name Roman conquerors of Cathage gave that God] connects it to the “King of Terror” descending from the skies. The Carthaginians and Phoenicians worshipped an all-powerful “Baal” or “Lord” God. The extent of Baal worship stretched from North Africa across lands currently called Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Syria and Iraq. Each region gave him a personalized name. What Nostradamus in 2 Q30 called the infernal god of Hannibal, Baal Hammon, was Lord patron deity of Carthage. When angered, Baal – any Baal – would retaliate bringing down storm and thunder as a “Lord of Terror coming from the skies.” The conduit of biblical and classical meaning has Baal Hammon, then, under the Romanized name Thurbo Majus, hiding Nostradamus’ Mabus as the King of Terror descending from the sky, resurrecting Mongol power in the emergent superpower China, allied to an emergent regional Middle Eastern superpower, Iran – China’s primary source of crude oil.

Now let’s turn insight into 9-11 on its ear. I wrote the second quote back in December 2007 for my almanac of prophecies for 2008. Now I wish to share them with the public at large to provoke a fresh look beyond 9/11 conspiracy dogma, at the real conspiracy most people where meant to miss.

Yes, Mildred, passenger jets full of people making readily documented cell phone calls about being hijacked on September 11, 2001, must have been faked by shadow elements in Illuminati-nation. While President Bush, during the attack, sat for seven minutes engrossed with a reading of “My Pet Goat” to an elementary class, uber-meisters who plugged him into presidency were having a Reich-Stag party abusing Lady Liberty’s city. Fake bin-Ladinites suddenly appeared in pilot seats to crash their Boeing 757s into New York City’s World Trade Center towers and the US Pentagon building in Washington D.C.

Those Boeing birds, in a twinkling of a geek-imagining eye, saw the love handle bulge of their wheel bays become — shazam! — customized cargo bays full of high explosives. And if that wasn’t enough to take a tower down, self-Illuminati-ated janitors-turned special “farces” — over Lord knows how many years — snuck around tearing open people’s office walls up and down 110 floors of each World Trade Center Tower, planting their sophisticated network of high explosives and wires to rival those openly planted in broad daylight over months of careful labor by demolition teams to blow down derelict skyscrapers.

9-11 conspiracies abound. Some imply conspiracies of commission; in other words, the Bush Administration set up a "false flag" conspiracy. Other's look to the August 2011 meeting of Bush's cabinet at his Crawford, Texas, dude ranch wherein, it is said he received actionable intelligence that Osama bin Laden was about to attack, yet did not do anything. This is the conspiracy of "omission."

Maybe the president in a moment of inattention following the exciting exploits of the pet goat was transfixed — stunned-mullet-eyed in wonder– of demolition agents of his shadow government being able to plant miles of blast wire and thousands of pounds of high explosives in two of the world’s most people-packed places. They did it with thousands of office paper pushers underfoot at all hours of the day. Each 110-floor twin tower, on average, had 50,000 people pass through its doors each day.

These towers collapsed into their own boiling cauldron of debris so smoothly.

Heck, no Aye-rab could have done that with a plane. Just like no 757 could punch such a small hole in the Pentagon. It must have been a cruise missile of some kind. Those frantic cell phone calls from passengers calling about the hijacking of American Airlines Flight 77, included the well-known MSNBC political analyst Barbara K. Olson. The tapes of her call to her husband, United States Solicitor General Theodore Olson at the Department of Justice, must have been faked in a sound studio because the 64 people on the plane with her can’t just have disappeared. The shadow government must have pulled their wool of darkness over anyone listed as passengers on that plane.

The Illuminati can do that.

Oh yes!

Just ask my pet goat. I mean, let’s face it, an over-lording and vastly efficient shadow organization must be pretty hot shit when they employ one of the most inept, corrupt, bungling, secrets leaking administrations in modern US history as their Patsy for a fake al-Qaeda attack on America.

Now let’s place 9-11 prophetic theory on its head. The third quote was published in October 2001 and written over a year before the attacks; yet, it alludes to a revelation about Nostradamus’ 1999 prophecy logged over two years before the attack in some of my first articles for Hogueprophecy.com:

In July of 1999, the dramatic intensification of hot and violent weather inspired me to declare that Nostradamus’ long awaited “king of Terror” expected to descend from the skies in July of 1999 was not a person, but a phenomenon. It is Global Warming. Furthermore, this “king” and his “terror” of superstorms, global droughts and subsequent global famines is with us for the coming 30 years.

The events of the spring of 2000 [when I wrote these observations] only add to the efficacy of Nostradamus’ famous warning: “In 1999 and seven months, the great King of Terror will descend from the skies…” (Century 10, Quatrain 72)

The obscurity of Nostradamus’ Old French syntax allows the prophecy to also cover July [2000] by adding “seven months” from the end of 1999 and getting July 2000. This could tie into the first prophecy’s warning of a terrible drought in latitude 48 in “Cancer.” By the end of July (a month represented by “Cancer” in astrology), we could witness more dramatic climatic upheavals. There may be powerful level 5 hurricanes, and a boiling of field and stream from unprecedented heat waves spanning across the American Midwest and Southeast all the way to Southwest France.

(Update [October 2001]: The summer of 2000 saw a half-dozen typhoons flood China, Taiwan the Philippines, Japan and Vietnam. The United Nations announced that at least 60 million people in central and southern Asia had been affected by a severe drought. By August India was beset by monsoon downpours flooding along the Brahmaputra and Ganges rivers leaving more than 51 million people homeless. The American midwest and Southeast endured a third year of the worst drought since the Dust Bowl years of the 1930s. In July visitors returning from the North Pole reported that the polar ice cap had melted for the first time in recorded history. There was open ocean at the top of the world where one used to tread upon thick ice.)

In a world where the polluted atmosphere taps the sun’s heat, extreme weather is the norm. Many prophecies I have recorded in my books forewarn of areas flooded and whipped by dreadful storms, while other regions suffer droughts of biblical proportions. Add to this the dwindling supply of fresh water to sustain a billion new people appearing on the earth in the first eleven years of the new millennium [and a billion more twelve years after that] and [my new and controversial interpretation of this famous prophecy] will perhaps find [its] fulfillment.

If the end of July 2000 marks the onset of these unpleasant events they may yet again warn us in time to change. Killer droughts and storms could galvanize the public and leaders alike to create a long-term policy to prevent a runaway weather catastrophe before it is too late.

(Update [October 2001]: Since the summer of 2000, the developed nations of Europe have moved to initiate an emission limiting regimen delineated by the Kyoto Accords, but the United States has backed away from any official reductions. The new Bush administration, which is clearly pro-fossil fuel in its energy policies, will not support the reduction of emissions and is doing its utmost to roll back twenty years of ecological and energy saving policies to produce more greenhouse gas emissions to feed its sagging consumer economy. Indeed, the new leadership scoffs at the overwhelming scientific evidence that an increased use of fossil fuel will only bring on greater fever and convulsions in future climatic weather. Thus at the time of this writing, the greatest polluter and energy using developed nation continues to feed the King of Terror called Global Warming.)

Over the memorial celebration for those lost in the crash of Flight 93 set in fields of Pennsylvania attended by the President and First Lady. Baking the Vice President and throngs gathered at the monument benches representing all those killed when Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. Descending out of the skies on tens of thousands standing at the Ground Zero listening to the friends, survivors and families of the lost reciting their names at the World Trade Center under reconstruction in New York City, the late summer day was hot — far hotter than on September 11, 2001 when the terror of hijacked commercial airlines came out of the skies.

The long, hot and often triple-digit heat waves of summer 2011 break most records from the summer of 2001. A great swath of mounting rolling terror comes out of the sky, like the thunder of typhoons and hurricanes, flashing like the lightning highlighted in less than a gasping blink of a second, of frightful columns of super cell tornadoes in Joplin, Missouri, Huntsville, Alabama. The rolling and drumming of 20 inches of rain that just fell across New Orleans and up the Appalachian states feeds new flood to Hurricane Irene’s watery ennui of disaster from New England to New Jersey. It sounds the king of Terror is on the march with a tattoo of drumming rains. The reflection of his cloudy grimace in skies projects upon the standing water under which Queensland, Australia lies. His reflection stands in waters drowning southeastern China and the winding, swollen mirror of the swamped Missouri and Mississippi River basins do project a glimpse of his angry solar eyes. The great king of terror of 2011 sets not a fireball to high tower like in 2001, but makes the sun a fireball scorching the central continental farmlands of the world, especially over Oklahoma and Texas.

Do you recognize yet this King of Terror?

He pushes us in the corner of our denial and breathes on us.

He exhales our stupidity out of stove to car exhaust pipes. He blights the atmosphere out of an acid rain forest of coal breathing smoke stacks. He is conjured by our excess, our shortsighted planning. He seeks an ally in our adversarial primeval habit to see Nature as a thing to be conquered when we had conquered her long ago. Yet there lurks the cave man and woman still hiding underneath our thin veneer of civilization aided now by the power of modern technology to destroy the ecosystem in a climate cascade and take down our civilization with it if we do not catch up with our golden destiny, to become a new, meditative, ecologically sound and loving humanity.

That future humanity is in harmony with the cosmos. That humanity will no longer suppress the ransacking fearful, covetous savage because these future people that are in seed within each of us today will have flowered and looked deep inside themselves exploring the caves of the primeval subconscious mind with a shining light of awareness. They thus will understand the savage habit and by understanding dispel him once and for all with their enlightenment.

Frankly, I do not care if Nostradamus never meant his 1999 prophecy to mean global warming. But I do care that you meditate on this King of Terror he may have missed. See your part in its tyranny, and do your part to starve him of your pollution of mind and the bitter fruits of the unconscious mind’s labors before his descent from the skies becomes a climate change your civilization cannot survive.

The great high-pressure dome across the eastern two thirds of the United States reluctantly relinquishes its hot pressure cooker on 200 million Americans one tenacious degree at a time. In the other dome, the US Capitol Building, the pressure cooker for political leadership and action intensified last night. The debt ceiling deadline approaches and the big babies on the Beltway, pretending to be adults — our leaders on Left, Center and Right — are letting their inability to find common ground, grind the US credit and credibility down as a leading economic superpower into the baked earth.

President Obama spoke to the nation Monday night, followed a few minutes later with a speech by the Speaker of the House John Boehner. Though I found Obama’s “Spockian” delivery more logical and substantive, he inserted a passage about an agreement to raise revenue that is clearly not in the Senate or House propositions ready to be put before a vote. Speaker Boehner’s speech relied on a deer-in-the-headlights sing-songy slogan-filled explanation of the Republican position that I found evasive when confronting the past and un-substantive when explaining how cutting spending without raising revenues can make 2 + 2 equal “5″ in the math, if anyone cares to look at it. As I have stated before in my earlier article (see Debt Ceiling) mathematical realities trump subjective politics. Never before in history has a nation gone to war without raising tax revenues to pay for it, or balanced a budget without raising revenues to pay down the debt. Yet, in the last decade we have seen a president (G.W. Bush) cut taxes whilst going to war and reform spending on medicine without paying for it, and, as cruel mathematical truth shows, you lose the Clinton surplus and drive the nation precipitously down into debt.

Duh…

Boehner needed to confront mathematics in his speech, especially because Obama laid out those issues. He sidesteps it at his and the GOP’s political future peril in the 2012 elections.

The GOP establishment is under the powerful influence of their Third Party coalition with the Tea Party revolutionaries. The movement that swept them back into power in the House of Representatives has the power to trump mathematics by ideology. I know many of my Tea Party readers are upset by what I say and I respect their sincerity, but the future is my expertise and I speak from that platform in these pages when I tell you that an ideological movement, not anchored to mathematics and rationality, does not have a future they desire waiting for them. Indeed, blind and irrational ideology is setting the stage for a far different future than politically desired if less zealously ideological heads and hearts do not prevail in the GOP caucus.

I was disappointed with both the President and the Speaker’s speeches last night. Both drew a political line of partisanship before the other. We are in a standoff, the nation held hostage by political posturing and an inability to compromise.

If I might channel last night from the mindset of a more enlightened humanity to come, the President and Speaker should have stood together before the national and international audience, like Lincoln and Douglas did in their famous debates. Both should have had transcripts of the others opening statements so they could prepare to answer each point in detail. The president would go first with his speech. Boehner would reply to each of his points. The president would then respond to the Speaker’s rebuttal, then the Speaker would have a final say.

In the second round of this foursquare debate, the speaker would make his speech explaining the GOP-Tea Party view. The president would rebut the points in detail; the speaker would have a chance to defend each point. Finally, the president would have the last say.

I tried to get professional debunker of all things paranormal and Nostradamian, James Randi, to act like a true skeptical inquirer and commit himself to such a foursquare debate. He always wiggled out of it.

Such a skeptical inquiry and debate, if it had been held last night before a worldwide audience, would present to the American people and the world at large a stable discussion of ideas, not slogans and partisan posturing. Each would be called to answer to such, and come clean with substance. I believe such a debate would restore American credibility in the end, even though this current debt-ceiling crisis has already seriously harmed our credit economically and Americans will see the consequences of this in the latter half of 2011 with higher interest rates.

We are now a week away from seeing the sole remaining military and economic superpower potentially default on his debts. The world nervously watches America in growing disbelief. I will have more to say about this as we approach the end of July. I already wrote extensively about this coming economic crisis of ideology over reality at the end of last year in Predictions for 2011.

The “last supper” in July is coming. The final Sabbath of July. Obama will break the unleavened bread and drink the bitter wine of buckling to pressure when he sits on 31 July in the crossfire between Tea Partiers and Republicans at his right hand and Democrats at his left hand.

Tuesday reminds me of Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) livin’ large before an end of the next week Lent to the debt ceiling comes. I’m hungry. Let’s sandwich in Part Two of the Future of Food while we can afford to eat.

Here is Part Two of my interview with Ingrid Weithers-Barati on the Future of Food, published at the Raw Epicurean back on 22 September 2009:

IWB: Edgar Cayce was a vegetarian who advocated eating vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds, at least 1/3 of it raw [uncooked] in any diet type. Are there other prophets, past or present, that you are aware of, who embrace[d] a vegetarian/vegan dietary lifestyle?

JH: Well, I met a few like J. Krishnamurti or Yogi Bhajan and sat at the feet of one for many years, such as Osho, who were all vegetarians. Osho never considered himself a prophet but his predictions are quite stunning and far-reaching.

IWB: Any who embrace a raw food diet?

JH: Not that I’m aware of personally. (Isn’t it good that you can’t hear plants scream?)

Actually, I do feel them go through their own anguish when they are harvested. I experienced plant life’s silent scream working on a truck farm and as a lumberjack cutting down juniper trees in my youth. Now I like talking to plants and trees before I harvest them. I am reminded of the Zen master who used to be a woodcutter. He would walk through the forest and ask the trees which one was ready to come down. When he got the appropriate impressed “answer”, he took out his axe.

In the future, even Vegetarians, Vegans and Raw-fooders will become more meditative and commune with their plants before they slaughter them. They will feel the death as well as the life and the spirit of the food they harvest. You cannot know life without equally feeling death at the same time.

In the distant future, in the Age of Capricorn, human beings will transcend the food chain altogether and attain their nutrients direct from the sun.

IWB: Nostradamus‘ lifelong passions were writing and culinary delights. Edgar Cayce enjoyed photography, and I read he was a Sunday school teacher. What are your passions and hobbies?

JH: Running, f**king, eating good food, drinking good wine and aperitifs.

Dancing in a trance, sitting doing nothing (a luxury these days), singing, laughing, writing music, playing a cow in a musical or the wolf in Little Red Riding Hood (a Children’s Opera). Yesterday I crashed the Island County WA parade running in my blue shorts, tank top, and silver running shoes with bouncing green twinkle shamrock antennae clipped to my head. I ran a quarter mile ahead of the parade receiving the accolades of the waiting crowd, sometimes apologizing for budget cuts constituting my run as the parade this year. Laughter and joy was had by all as a crowning “clowning” warm-up for a wonderful parade.

Other loves?

Love, for one.

Then there is a love of all kinds of music. I write my [19] books and counting often listening to classical music, though I will listen to anything that captures what it is truly trying to convey, whether it is Wagner’s Ring or Nirvana’s Heart Shaped Box or Vangelis’ Antarctica or provocative CDs such as Enigma. I can start the day playing Van Morrison, Michael Jackson and end up with Alanis Morissette and Radiohead. I can dance to Grateful Dead and am a big fan of Dead can Dance.

Hobbies? I used to be a pretty good miniature ship builder of museum quality boats. I was once a master painter of miniature figurines. I also used to paint canvases in oils. I love how turpentine changes the smells and tastes of everything. Ever since 2005, I apply these painting talents to painting on bigger canvases called the interiors and exteriors of houses as a painter. (Writing is a calling. Anyone who thinks they will get rich being a freelance writer, might as well believe they can get rich being a schoolteacher. It is a passion and a calling to be a person of word craft with a message.

IWB: In your book, Nostradamus: A Life and Myth, there are many references throughout the book about one of his favorite passions — culinary delights. Tell us about his interest in the culinary arts and what type of food he loved to make.

JH: South French passions for Mediterranean cuisine go back more than a millennium as Nostradamus’ writings show. He had a passion for all kinds of foods, recipes for salads (liberal in their use of rose petals and wine). His chief culinary concern was the science of fruit preservatives. In this following passage from my biography on the prophet Nostradamus: A Life and Myth are examples of how this wandering apothecary, physician and Anthony Bourdain of the 16th century, had “no reservations” as a chef on a pilgrimage around France, Spain and Italy, gathering recipes that found themselves in his travelogue on the trail of medicine, cosmetics and food recipes:

We might follow a trail of bitter cherries left in passages of Traité des fardemens et confitures to mark some places passed. Nostradamus was obsessed with the sweet desires of the stomach — in particular, finding ever better ways to cook up fruit preserves of bitter black cherries of “the most delectable taste, which will keep for a long while.” In a rare moment of owning to where he had been, Nostradamus on the trail of the perfect black cherry jelly, says he had “seen it made in Toulouse, Bordeaux and [La] Rochelle.” Toulouse, the district seat of the Inquisition, seems an unlikely place to have been seen in 1539 [the year before they had "summoned" him for examination for questionable healing practices]. After Bordeaux he might have ridden north to La Rochelle, but another written extract could point his mule south, abandoning France altogether to hide out for an extended period among the black cherry confectioners and sweetmeat makers of Valencia, Spain:

I have often seen preserved things from Valencia, which were extraordinarily good … Their sugar is inferior [to] ours, but they are more skilled in the art of preservation. The same is true of their sweet meats in the manner in which they finish them, for when the sugar has been thoroughly absorbed and all bad and harmful moisture has been removed, they completely get rid of this sugar (which has become blackened through repeated boiling) and use a very beautiful one, which then makes the confectionery exceptionally attractive and excellent.

IWB: Did he have a favorite food recipe?

JH: Beyond black bitter cherries? It seemed he liked best whatever he was engaged in preserving, whether it as pumpkin sauce to cool fevers and have a very pleasant taste, or taking bitter oranges into a sugar preserve, or honey preserving walnuts, or making a concoction called “boiled wine.” He wrote about a green ginger recipe originating from Mecca, Saudi Arabia. His quince jelly preserve endorsed by the Papal Legate of Avignon made him famous. His tastes seemed to mix the bitter with the sweet, though he also advised readers how to make candies and marzipan.

Ingrid Weithers-Barati: What fruits or vegetables are your favorites, least favorite and why?

JH: I can’t eat much fruit as it makes me too acidic, but I do like bananas, strawberries and blackberries and red wines (grapes).

I do eat nearly all vegetables. My favorites are broccoli, red onions, garlic, and mushrooms. My least favorite: Okra from India. It used to be eggplant too but I do love the way Punjabis make it

IWB: What‘s the one thing about you few people know?

JH: Nice try. If I tell you, too many people will then know it. Let us keep that to the chosen few. A man of mystery is far more intriguing, is he not?

IWB: If you could be or do anything else what would that be?

JH: A full-time composer of music. I wish I had the time and the financial backing to compose and conduct the many symphonies, concertos, symphonic poems and songs that play with full instrumentation in my head. I fear that I will be the only one to enjoy them if life is not much longer than the next moment.

I am bringing a few of these pieces into the world right now through the help of a dear friend, Talia, who is a composer and violinist who once played with Van Morrison in his Into the Music CD and was one time the kid who played violin with Jack on the Jack Benny Show.

IWB: What one word would you use to describe yourself?

JH: No-knowing…

IWB: Where and what was your most memorable raw food meal?

JH: At the Conscious Life Expo [February 2009] in LA, I lived three times a day on the Vegan wraps of food vendors with a café in Redondo Beach. They are called Leaf Organics. Go there if you can. They are the Mecca of vegan wraps! Leaf Organics! Yumm!! They used big broad leafs like burrito wraps. I still don’t know exactly what they put in there to make it so good. Who thinks when the thoughts drop in the no-mind of munch?

IWB: What is the most amusing response you‘ve experienced or reaction you’ve received when you told someone you are a prophet scholar?

JH: I don’t remember. So, I guess it will have to be the next response-reaction.

IWB: Looking forward, do you see a growing interest in vegetarianism/veganism?

JH: Yes indeed. To use a plant metaphor, it will be “grass roots” in nature until the emergency of food sustainability coming in the next decade forces a lot of people to get off the agra-meat machine. Ecological stresses caused by such high waste farming will become unprofitable.

“Oh God! I’m coming!”

And heaven came to earth.

Before the afterglow of naughty bits-full blissful sex gave birth to the religious quest, Adam and Eve also discovered that copulating makes one hungry. In the after-f*ck comes feast.

There is no more important catalyst for a breakdown or a breakthrough for civilization than how we manage the future of food. This is the seventh month of the year 2011, when expected to be born is the seven billionth child. He or she will be hungry, demanding of the future a handout of dream it will not fulfill. He or she will grow up pretty damned angry if dreamy entitlement of Garden of Eden dreams are not delivered, if Satan’s apple is already wormy to the cruddy core before tempted. Seven billion people and counting will chase after the car of success. They will all “catch it”, sometime in the 2020s, because the car had ran out of gas.

Food is fuel for nourishing thoughts that spark plug flash-forward the engine of enterprise, genius, golden ages. Our future advances on what we eat.

Back on 22 September 2009, Ingrid Weithers-Barati of Raw Epicurean.net  interviewed me about the future of food, vegan and vegetarianism, my encounter with Timothy Leary and the recipes of Nostradamus. Many of you may not be aware that Nostradamus was not as obsessed with the future as we think he was. He had many passions to which far more time and years were dedicated, such as being a 16th-century gourmet. He shared his recipes for meals, medicines and fruit preservatives in highly popular books standing for their own part as important examples of French 16th-century literature, beyond those works of prophecy most of us dispute or defend about the future of the world. Nostradamus’ predictions often dwell on the dangers of a future humanity that fails, two out of every three people, taken down by pestilences and most of all by famine. This is a warning to change and not a fate to which we must submit.

But first, let’s eat some future food for thought:

In this interview, John Hogue shares with us how he became a “rogue” prophecy scholar, his mentors, his thoughts on a plant-based diet, other prophets, like Nostradamus’ culinary passion, John’s other interests, and much more.

Ingrid Weithers-Barati: Tell us a bit about your background What inspired you to become the “rogue” prophecy scholar you are today?

John Hogue: Since being a young boy, I have been an old man growing younger as the body ages. Back then I had a fascination with current events and the repetition of history like a doctor is fascinated with pathology. I wanted to understand “why” history kept repeating itself, and I had an instinctive skepticism of what teachers and authorities taught, because if they really knew what they were talking about, why has humanity not learned history’s lessons. Do we repeat mistakes because we do not learn from history, or, do those who teach us teach the wrong conclusions about history’s lessons? (A very serious young boy, there.)

Anyway, when it started getting too serious I fell into an existential crisis by the time I was in my 20s. So, I began searching for spiritual and religious answers, especially those less orthodox or more Eastern than those I was indoctrinated to follow as a being labeled “Western Caucasian American” stamped on the bum side of my soul. In the process of studying religious paths, I became aware of the prophetic scriptures of the world. It seemed “future history” was just as plagued as the past with patterns of conditioned habits. The future seemed just as repetitively tragic as the past. So, as I embarked since 1980 on the path of meditation on the side was this continued evolution of my study of what made people predictable in the past and predictable in the future.

My work is all about understanding the engine of conditioning each new generation to be as silly and miserable as the past, no matter what the color or design of the cultural or religious blinders put upon the inner eye of their souls as “truth.”

Thus, my iconoclastic experiential slant on prophecy is perhaps unique among prophecy scholars. That is why I am known as a “Rogue Scholar”.

Over the past 30 years, I must have studied enough on my own to become a Rhodes Scholar but I attained no degrees, short of the minimum requirement — a high school diploma — in 1974. More than this degree in society’s de-education of my intelligence was too much to bear. The price for a further dulling of intelligence required I assume deeper degrees of BS, BMs, and ‘piled high and deep’ PhDs of borrowed knowledge.

IWB: Who is/are/were your mentors[s]?

JH: Existence is first and foremost the mentor of us all. It is life itself. There were many others and still many more coming. Ray Bradbury taught me how to write. My meditation teacher, Osho, still teaches me before and beyond the grave to be aware of the witnessing consciousness that abides all changes in the body-mind and to celebrate living as a Zorba the Buddha in the marketplace of a constantly changing and impermanent world we all share. He taught me to be a witness of these things, and more: To be aware of that which is beyond what consciousness reflects. For that I cannot limit my answer in mere words. At a point one must stop talking about H2O and jump into the water. Meditation techniques are a way to prepare for real meditation. Those who want to know more than what I’ve said here must come and meditate with me.

IWB: When did you become a vegetarian, and what motivated you to do so?

JH: I was 25 years old. I was motivated by practicality, not anything holy-baloney “spiritual.” I discovered after a first quarter century of living in this body that it didn’t like animal flesh of any kind. Once I stopped eating it I became a hale and hearty high-energy fellow ever since.

IWB: What are your thoughts on consuming a plant-based diet and the role it plays on the health of our environment?

JH: First off, a word about dietary spiritual conceits. From my experience, vegetarianism does not make you more spiritually evolved. Case in point, Adolf Hitler tried all his life to be a vegetarian while Jesus Christ ate meat.

There are many people, born of Western bodies, who try to claim some spiritual attainment by eating Vegan or Veg. at the cost of making themselves less energetic, unhealthy and mentally dull. I will tell you right now, as a Vegan now for four years, who eats eggs, if at any moment my body impresses upon me the need to eat fish, chicken, lamb, or beef I will do it without hesitation or any spiritual guilt. What is good for Gurdjieff or Muhammad, or all the Sufi mystics, many of the Zen masters, or even poor ole Jesus left hanging around as some lamb sacrifice of God is good for me too.

Now, with that said, my own experience agrees with my own teacher, Osho. About six months after I quit eating meat, fish or chicken I felt a glugginess leave my bodily and nervous system. I felt a lighter quality in my body-mind. I did feel less gross, more sensitive. Moreover, in my case I got physically stronger. I mean, if big 800-pound, muscle bound, chest thumping gorillas can eat bunny-fare and be that big and strong that means there are some animal and human animal people that have bodies like those veggorillas. I’m one of those plant-gorging apes for sure, for now.

Certainly adopting a vegetarian, even vegan, lifestyle lowers my carbon footprint, but let that not prevent people from eating a modest meat diet from time to time if their body needs it. We can still vastly reduce the wasteful farming and green house gas flatulating herds of livestock to help Mother Earth if people simply approach their eating habits in a balanced and intelligent way. Most affluent people simply eat too much, including those who graze like rabbits as proud veggie folk.

IWB: How has vegetarianism contributed to your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being?

JH: I’m not a vegetarian anymore. I am now a Vegan who eats two eggs a day. (Thank you, Chickens of the world!) As I said answering your last question, I definitely grew stronger and less slickly and prone to immune weakness after becoming a veggie guy. The question is, was this improvement solely from becoming a Vegetarian at 25?

It is hard to know because at 25 I also went to India, became initiated as a swami in the Neo-Sannyasin “non-tradition” of Osho. Before this, I started meditating. Therefore, since I like what chickens make, we have a chicken-or-the-egg Zen koan here. Did the diet make me a meditator, or did the meditation make me a vegetarian?

Osho.

There have been great mystics and meditators that have not been vegetarians, so one must wonder? Also, psychosomatic issues might equally have caused the chronic problems I had with my upper and lower GI until I stopped eating meat. Osho’s active meditation techniques and encounter groups put me on the fast track of letting go 25 years of repressed emotions, fears and judgments. We hold things in our bodies.

Osho’s says, “start with the body” in meditation. It sure worked for me. Does therefore my vegetarianism-cum-veganism become a happy extra to this cleansing? Did my psychosomatic bouts of intestinal blockage end because I stopped eating hamburgers? On the other hand, was it the rebirthing session that got me in contact with the life in Napoleon’s army in 1812, at the Battle of Borodino? I received an artillery shell splinter in the gut while on my horse directing a corps of French cavalry into a ravine for cover from cannon in a large Russian breastwork that was rolling my troupers and their horses over like bowling pins for two hours. When wounded in the gut, I calmed my horse. Everyone around me watched as I yelled beau feu! (good shot!) and dropped dead.

Reincarnation studies show that people seem to carry health issues related to traumas in past lives. Once I saw how I died on the battlefield, I never had intestinal “infortitude” ever since (I’m in my 54th year in this body. Update that to 56th year at the time of posting this blog). Was it the veggie diet or was it breaking the unconscious psychosomatic connection a past life bowel injury that killed?

IWB: Would you day eating this way contributes greatly to your meditation practice and your ability to foretell future events? 

JH: I heard Osho say that vegetarianism makes one on the path more escthetic, less gross and dense. My life path experiences would tend to agree with him; however, if at some point this body should need animal products beyond chicken eggs we will put that theory to the test.

I am very surprised how good I feel after I stopped eating dairy products. I was a major cheese eater as a vegetarian, by the way. I do not see myself going back to cheese or meat in the foreseeable future, but one must listen to the body, as it always needs new things. Osho has a meditation for “talking to the body” which I find very helpful

IWB: Are there any particular types of food, plant-based or otherwise, that can impede your abilities?

JH: Weed. Alcohol. “Silly”-sybens perhaps, although every time in my youth when I was lining up to try the latter I would practice a week of cleansing my body for the best initiatory event. My friends, though, could not wait and consumed them before the week was out.

It all depends. These vegetarian “foods” can aid one, loosen one up, give one a glimpse but a glimpse does not a lifetime of bliss or augury make. For that you can’t knock it back, toke or mushroom your self 24/7 over seventy years like Timothy Leary, who I saw a few months before he died, sitting to the side of the book store area of a Seattle Whole Life Expo in the 1990s, to which I was invited to lecture.

My eyes were pulled to regard this spent and wrinkled candy wrapper of a man, shrunk in his chair. I did not even recognize him at first. It was a visceral moment. Our eyes met. Mine must have conveyed wordlessly the feeling of concern for and a marveling at how this stranger looked physically and spiritually spent. This impression registered in reflection in his eyes and he cowered. Then it dawned in a flash who it was I had regarded in the gap of no-thought was Timothy Leary.

I turned away, embarrassed to have stared, but not sorry to have felt a truth conveyed innocently through me, to him.

Drugs had destroyed Timothy Leary in the name of artificial enlightenment.

You have to find the inner high free of all chains or ticklers for the body-mind.

I mean, what inebriate was available to my consciousness before I was born? What will be available to imbibe when this body-mind imbiber is ash?

The fundamental question is, “who” is having the high? Who is not having a high?

Any dependence on something through the body for expanded consciousness is a path to addiction. There are far more subtle and profound addictions from which we all suffer. For instance, the identification with body-mind and emotions that leads us repeatedly into a cycle of lives lived in ego’s Misery-field.

Food for thought? Or, is the answer something untouched by any food or thought?

This week NATO air strikes targeting Libyan dictator Muhammar Gaddafi’s command and control centers and other military assets accelerated to their highest intensity. Across Tripoli on Tuesday (7 June 2011), one heard over 60 explosions of NATO’s missile driven ordinance shot out of the sky. One witnessed the surreal sight of rush hour traffic nonchalantly driving to and fro down a sprawling Tripolitanian boulevard while not far beyond a wall of bleached white tenements and palms erupted one hammer falling explosive plume after another warhead piled on to craters out of targets within Gaddafi’s compound.

The following day a defiant Gaddafi resurfaced. Not on film and not sneaking into a press conference held at the international hotel where most Western and European journalist camp out, thus making it off limits for NATO attack. After the bombardment of Tuesday, Gaddafi, constantly now on the run, could only sneak out an audio taped message, that he would never leave Libya and would fight to the death. Like Osama (pronounced Usama) bin Laden, here will be yet another a terrorist leader in hiding, reduced to making audio taped messages before his hideout will be hit and perhaps soon.

There may be some prophetic parallels tying the death of Usama bin Laden to that coming for Gaddafi. The death of Osama refreshes a look at Nostradamus’ riddles about a “religion named after the oceans” and how that might tie the near future fate of Gaddafi to the recent death and burial of Usama bin Laden.

Here again is a quick review of the Nostradamus quatrains attributed to Gaddafi (You can read a full account in the following articles by clicking on Qaddafi, also Gaddafi and Khadafi:

A colonel through machinating (plotting) ambition.
He will seize the greatest part of the army:

Lines 1 and 3 give us Gaddafi’s background. He was a young colonel in charge of the coup d’etat that deposed King Idris of Libya in 1969. Gaddafi has been Libya’s dictator ever since because he moved against his prince, King Idris, on a false invention of an oath of loyalty to the throne.

Line 2 is a compound prophecy. Colonel Gaddafi did seize the greatest part of the officer corps and army who stood against Idris. The same is true in the current Libyan Civil War. Eastern Libya broke away, yet the dictator had made contingencies for such a split and ensured he retained control of most of the Libyan armed forces including their best military equipment and tanks. One need only see the Mad-Max, Road Warrior quality of the rag-tag forces of the rebels in their rusty trucks and cast off weapons to understand how carefully Gaddafi hoarded his military assets in case Libya’s ancient potential to divide between Tripolitanian (West) and Cyrenaican (Eastern) Libyans should require a bloody invasion of Eastern Libya. Before King Idris stepped down from his throne with the prod of an AK-47, he was compelled to rule a desert country with two capitals in Tripoli and Benghazi. Gaddafi put an end to that for 42 years. Now the historic divisions arise again. I predict the death of Gaddafi, and the scattering of his regime will do little to unite the country in this civil war’s bloody aftermath.

Line 4 gives up a glimpse of Gaddafi’s future. The French ramée is a riddle for branches or green bows, a green arbor that by extension can be a clue to Gaddafi’s favorite domicile, a green Bedouin tent supported by tent post “branches.” In an earlier blog (see Libyan rebels), I eluded to a possible last minute exile of Gaddafi to the green-bowered tropical habitat of Venezuela, under the protection of another Dictator, Hugo Chavez.

I am more inclined to prophesy Gaddafi’s “discovery” will be by the electronic eye of a NATO missile shot from 15,000 feet in the sky. Its shockwave at Mack 3 flinging open the green tent flap in a split second to “District 9” blood vaporize him into the next world. Perhaps the branch suspends the all-green flag of Gaddafi’s regime next to the place in which strongman dies under a falling burial mound of bunker debris.

The next quatrain in the light of the death of the Dean of al-Qaeda terrorism, Usama bin Laden, may link him to Gaddafi’s near future end. Nostradamus often threw in a seemingly unrelated theme in a prophecy as a dating backing up a verse’s main theme. For instance, in his famous King of Terror prophecy believed to date the 9/11 attacks of Usama bin Laden upon New York City’s “hollow mountains” of the World Trade Center (sometime between 1999-2001), Nostradamus throws in an unrelated line about the resurrection of the “Great Mongol.” He defines China with 16th-century poetic license. A future Chinese empire compared to that Middle Kingdom once ruled by Mongol Emperors Genghis and later Kublai Khan from the 13th century.

Indeed, China began emerging as a world power at the turn of the century, around the time of the 9-11 attacks on New York.

Seemingly unrelated data in prophecy framing time captures the event window of the Adaluncatif prophecy attributed to the future of Gaddafi:

In past interpretations I factored line 1 to be another outside event used to date the main theme. The new religion named after the oceans was that of “Osho” (meaning oceanic). When Ronald Reagan sent US 111-bomber jets to paste Gaddafi’s compound in early 1986, Osho was being thrown out of 21 countries by US-CIA pressure during his world tour. Moreover, Gaddafi’s half-destroyed bedroom became until recently a shrine to his survival from the US attack.

You may have seen Gaddafi make speeches standing at a podium before the shattered façade of his bedroom in the early stages of the current civil war, before it was pulverized. Photographs of his bedroom shrine showed it sealed by glass left untouched since March 1986. The blast dust and debris covered the bedspread. Behind the bed was a panoramic shot of a beach with limestone rocks sculpted by ocean breakers rolling out of an endless (oceanic?) horizon of sea.

No doubt followers of Osho believe and perhaps rightfully that their master’s teaching has overcome the poisoning of their master and persecution of his people during the Reagan Era.

Nostradamus might intend another possible solution to line 1′s riddle — one more contemporary. US Navy Seals raided and killed Usama bin Laden on 1 May 2011 in his fortress compound hideaway in Abbottabad, Pakistan, carrying the corpse via stealth helicopter over the Hindu Kush mountains to a US air base in Afghanistan. From there the cadaver was genetically identified and flown out over the Arabian Sea, transported to the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson where according to Islamic law it was bathed and wrapped in a white funerary shroud for burial at sea.

“The Religion named after the oceans will overcome,” says Nostradamus. Usama was buried in the ocean, by Christian-dominated US armed forces, that in other prophecies Nostradamus calls modern crusaders (just like Usama called them “crusaders”), after they invaded and occupied a region in the Middle East never occupied by Medieval Crusaders — Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq).

In other Nostradamus prophecies related to contemporary events in the war on terror, he alludes to Middle Eastern leaders fearing the military power coming from the sea or ocean as the source of downfall — death.

The Navy Seal raid was code named Operation Neptune’s Spear alluding the trident in the Navy Seal’s military emblem. The trident is the symbol of Neptune, God of the Oceans. It could be Nostradamus — ever in love with 16th-century word plays on classical metaphors — means us to identify the “religion named after the ocean” to be code cryptically describing the US Navy Seals in a double entendre, offering bin Laden’s body to Neptune like the ancients would have. Soldiers of Operation Neptune’s Spear metaphorically sacrificed Usama in sea burial as an offering to Neptune.

For this unique take on the riddle of line one to be correct, the last three lines describing the fate of someone code named Adaluncatif must see his downfall soon and also from, over flying from over, the sea.

The sect of the son of Adaluncatif is qualified as obstinate, deplored and made afraid by the “religion of the Ocean” (code for the Navy Seals) who will wound the two top leaders: Gaddafi and his son Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi.

Adaluncatif is a phonetic spelling of Gaddafi as well as hiding the Latin word for Moon (Crescent of Islam): Luna.

Here is how you render the anagram:

Adaluncatif = Cad(t)afi Luna = Cadafi Luna.

Nostradamus’ law of anagramming drops the single redundant letter, in this case the t. The “C” resembles phonetically the Arabic “chhaah” or “Qaah” that Roman spelling often struggles to capture as Qaddafi, Khaddafi or Gaddafi, depending on what part of the Western ear registers as dominant for spelling.

Thus Cadafi Luna (Moon) stands for the lunar crescent, a symbol of Islam we see topping the domes of mosques.

Moon here representing “Islam” implies the son of Adaluncatif, Saif al-Islam (Sword of Islam), Gaddafi’s heir apparent. Saif notoriously declared a war of annihilation on Libyan television, broadcast all over the world, against any Libyan protesting his father’s regime. Saif tried to live up to his name, becoming the field commander sword point overseeing Pro-Gaddafi forces that massacred demonstrators and commanded efforts of the army and air force to first crush rebellion in the West while preparing an invasion to seize back the breakaway Libyan East centered around a new government in Benghazi.

The fanatic son Saif initiated a civil war raging since February 2011 and his atrocities generated worldwide distain for his father’s “obstinate and deplored sect”. Even the Arab League asked the United Nation to step in militarily against an Arab regime, which they did with US and NATO air strikes on Gaddafi and Saif’s armored columns just before they entered Benghazi to perhaps massacre hundreds of thousands.

Now the “sect” of the son of Gaddafi is in retreat from Eastern Libya and under constant bombardment in their stronghold of Tripoli. Now helicopter gun ships have begun coordinated attacks assisting the rebels in their advance on Gaddafi’s Western Libyan strongholds.

Saif al-Islam al Gaddafi. Is he the wounded A and A?

The son of Adaluncatif is dead, killed by a NATO missile strike of a command and control center on 30 April, one day before Usama bin Laden was killed.

“The two wounded A and A” may be a riddle for one fatally wounded man with a double name: Saif (a)l-Islam (a)l-Gaddafi; yet, the syntax is open ended enough to hint that only one of the two wounded is “A and A”. The other, Gaddafi, may be next, and the wound delivered from jets and helicopters flying from over the sea may be fatal and soon.

This brings me to the following Nostradamus quatrain that may describe the death of Gaddafi in our near future:

The dart from the sky will make its extension,
Deaths in speaking: Great execution:

Although the translation has license to use gent as nation the literal translation is people. When Nostradamus writes, “the people” or “the city” or “the nation” etc., he is usually speaking of future events that directly affect the “French” people, the “French” city (Paris), or the “French” nation. Nostradamus best sees the future through his French eyes, his French conditioning and how it directly affects future French people.

Osama sacrificed to Neptune.

The French under President Nicolas Sarcozy have been the most bellicose of the NATO allies in prosecuting an air war against Gaddafi’s military assets. From the start, French air forces have openly targeted Libyan command and control targets as ruthlessly as they can in the hopes of killing the assumptive heir and the dictator of Libya. I predict it will be revealed in the future that Sarcozy’s French military policy in Libya is decapitation of the Gaddafi regime. He intends — and he will succeed — in launching a dart or “missile” from the sky that will cause the great execution of Gaddafi in mid speech (deaths in speaking). He will start a sentence he will not complete as a French missile takes him out.

It may be an interesting coincidence only. The quatrain’s indexing (70) is a near miss for the year 1969 when Gaddafi overthrew King Idris of Libya.

The future and the events they anticipate are having a convergence. The prophecies of Nostradamus about his Third and Final Antichrist, code named Mabus now pit the two front-runners, the late Saddam Hussein and the recently killed Usama (Osama) bin Laden, in an ever-closer race to be number one candidate for Antichrist. Usama is catching up with Saddam.

Here, for your review are the two core quatrain prophecies about Mabus, the Third Antichrist, indexed 2 Q62 and 8 Q77 in Nostradamus’ prophetic masterpiece Les Propheties, initially published in serialized form between the years 1555 and 1560:

Mabus will soon die, then will come,

Let us go through the milestones that Saddam and Usama tally up to be candidate number one. (A full examination of all the Nostradamus Antichrist prophecies and potential past and future candidates can be had by reading my e-book. Click on Antichrist.

Being a dead candidate is the first and dubious milestone both share. Both violently annihilated: Saddam was hanged at the 30 December 2006, Usama shot by US Navy seals on May Day 2011.

Both men’s names can be found in the code name Mabus. Saddam backwards spells maddas=mabbas=mabas. Replace one redundant a and you get Mabus. Usama mixed around get us maaus. Take the b from bin Laden. Replace the redundant a and you get Mabus.

The horrible undoing of people and animals has not been made clear. It could imply the times in which they died, when the earth is seeing the balance of nature (animals) unraveling in devastating climate change caused by human abuse of the planet and overpopulation (people). There are many prophecies in Nostradamus about natural disasters, superstorms of terrible winds, global warming, vast inner-continental droughts at latitude 48 degrees across the world, all leading to a global famine and a third world war that may see two-thirds of the human race consumed.

It is not made clear in the prophecies if the Antichrist and the war arising from his annihilation triggers this unraveling of civilization and mass animal extinctions from a global catastrophe he caused. Indeed, the fact that Nostradamus does not directly tie the Third Antichrist to nearly 100 prophecies on this theme except for the nebulous connection made in 2 Q62 indicates to me that the unraveling of people and animals describes the times in which the Antichrist’s added catastrophe of a post mortem war takes place.

This however does not ignore the potential of either some terrible terrorist reprisal (in the case of Usama) or an unraveling of the Arab world because of a future breakup of Saddam’s Iraq as causes for the unraveling of the world. Saddam had famously predicted before being hanged that without his strong hand and dictatorship, Kurd, Shia and Sunni Iraqi’s would not be able to govern themselves and that sooner or later, Iraq would unravel. If the Middle East unravels, so does the oil industry that fuels human civilization. So, for now, I referee that the score is still tied. I conclude that 2 Q62, line 2 is dating the times in which the Antichrist dies, when humans and animals are enduring an unraveling of natural balances of the planet.

At once there is vengeance?

Saddam’s death did not see “immediately after” an unraveling of people and animals. We wait to see if this will happen in the next few months or years after the death of Usama. Score remains the same:

The line saying at once there will be vengeance is openly vague to embrace a future act of vengeance in retaliation to the killing of the Antichrist. One cannot say vengeance actually came from supporters of dead Saddam, although the worst years of the Iraqi sectarian civil war were ahead with the highest death tolls on Iraqis and US-coalition forces in the crossfire. Today saw the first reprisal bombings for Usama’s killing by Pakistani Taliban elements allied to al-Qaeda. Two suicide bombers killed scores of Pakistani Special Forces trainees as they gathered outside their boot camp facility in Western Pakistan to climb onto buses and minivans for a holiday. The death of 80 and the wounding of 100 of these does not fit the horrific reprisal implied that could ally 100 nations into an international counterattack. So, we are still waiting for something bigger to take place, perhaps in America — perhaps on or around the 10th anniversary of 9/11, or in al-Qaeda’s other favorite month to strike, the 11th month of each year.

Now, if line 3 of 2 Q62 and part of line 4 are implying an alliance of 100 nations taking vengeance on a history changing terrorist act, then I have to give Usama a point. After al-Qaeda’s hijacked jet takedown of the World Trade Center Towers and drilling of the Pentagon on 11 September 2011 — a terrifying crime dated and foreseen by Nostradamus, see Osama — President G. W. Bush collected 100 nations into his alliance to seek out and destroy Usama’s terrorist network. Shortly after, in a few months’ time, US forces and the Afghan Northern Alliance routed al-Qaeda and the Afghan Taliban regime that harbored them in Afghanistan. Usama and his surviving core of al-Qaeda were surrounded in caves on Mt Tora Bora. The survivors, including a wounded Usama, only just managed to sneak over into Pakistan where he spent nearly a decade in hiding, overseeing a greatly reduced and crippled al-Qaeda.

The last line of 2 Q62 returns to the theme of describing the times of the death of the Antichrist: a time of great climate disruption (thirst=drought), the crisis of potable water and famine looming for the an overpopulated world that will endure the birth of the 7th billionth thirsty and hungry child sometime around July of 2011. One might argue that this population milestone tilts the milestone in favor of Usama, however the climate has been unraveling since global temperatures spiked and kept spiking from 1998 onwards, including the year Saddam was hanged in 2006. So, no score change.

I will save the comet milestone at the end of 2 Q62 for last. Let us jump to the next quatrain.

We see in line one of 8 Q77, how it links the annihilation of Mabus to the annihilation of the “Third Antichrist”. They are one.

Let us jump ahead to the verse’s final line. The blood-soaked human bodies and the reddened icy or white spotted rain on the hemorrhaging bodies is a phenomenon seen on those killed by biological or chemical agents. Although a reprisal for Usama’s death may use these agents, clearly, Saddam scores one here because he notoriously used such weapons against the Kurds in 1988 in Halabja, killing thousands of civilians and on Iranian soldiers during the Iran-Iraq war perhaps killing and crippling 100,000 of them with mustard gas.

Now to 8 Q77′s line 3. This one leans in favor of Usama. He and his al-Qaeda jihadists are each considered by a vast majority of Muslims around the world as Al-muhartik (heretic). Since 9/11 to the present, most of the leading al-Qaeda planners, the cream of his suicide operatives who committed the act and thousands of AQ foot soldiers have been eliminated (dead), exiled from their countries of origin and made captives wasting away in a network of prisons far from home such as the US concentration camp at Guantanamo, Cuba.

Of course, one could argue that Saddam’s Baathist party henchmen are secular Islamic heretics also either eliminated, exiled from Iraq or crowded Abu Ghraib and other prisons. Nevertheless, Baathist dead and imprisoned have not made the historic impact of al-Qaeda dead and captives in a way that might have caught Nostradamus’ eye, so I give this one to Usama

Now to the most interesting new revelation in Nostradamus that only could be recognized after the death of Usama. Line 2 of 8 Q77 says about the Third Antichrist, “27 years his bloody war will last.”

Saddam fulfills this. The time he was made dictator, to the time he was hanged was 27 years of constant warfare for Iraq. Saddam waged a civil war with the Kurds living inside its borders as well as crushing a second Shia uprising in 1991, killing hundreds of thousands. Saddam initiated the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1989) killing a million people. He invaded Kuwait in 1990. He was thrown out of Kuwait with the loss of 150,000 soldiers killed and hundreds of thousands captured in the Persian Gulf War that followed in 1991. A low-grade war smoldered from 1991 to 2003 with US-Coalition patrolling a “No Fly Zone” over Iraqi airspace with occasional volleys of cruise missiles crashing into Baghdad in the mid and late 1990s. Then the US invaded Iraq in 2003 deposing Saddam’s regime. The Baathists fought a guerilla war with US occupiers then as Sunnis they grappled with the Shia in a bloody sectarian civil war at the time Saddam was hanged in late December 2006. A period of wars and civil wars that spanned exactly 27 years!

Score one for Saddam?

Not so fast!

New revelations have reached me today, which I have verified. Usama, back in 1984, established MAK (Maktab al-Khidamat) with Abdullah Azzam, an organization to raise funds and recruit a foreign legion of Arab mujahedeen fighters, mostly Saudi Arabs, to aid the Afghani mujahedeen’s guerilla war against Soviet occupiers of Afghanistan. Although Usama had been funding and fighting alongside Afghans since he completed college in 1979, MAK put Usama on history’s time map as a leader in a war — just the kind of prominence that a prophet from the 16th century would have recognized.

In 1984, Usama’s bloody war began, first with the Soviets, and then four years later, MAK became the foundation for creating and fundraising and recruiting al-Qaeda. Usama’s war shifted from Soviets and became a guerilla-terrorist war against Arab dictators, the Saudi King beholden to Western “Crusader” powers with a string terror bombings in the Middle East during the 1990s, as well as the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993.

Then came dramatic, large-scale swipes at US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 killing hundreds and wounding thousands. Then the USS Cole bombing at port in Yemen in 2000 killing and wounding dozens of US Navy personnel.

Then came his bloody war’s greatest terror act, the 9/11 toppling of the World Trade Center twin towers and setting alight the US Pentagon with hijacked civilian airliners killing 3,000. This lead to US occupation of Afghanistan in a war spanning nearly a decade, killing over 50,000 civilians and combatants from all sides. The drone wars over Western Pakistan commenced, killing hundreds more. The war in Afghanistan spilled over into a conflict between Taliban Pakistani guerillas with the Pakistani Army adding thousands to the butcher bomber’s bill.

Then Usama’s blood war ended with his death by US Navy Seal bullets just a dozen days ago.

Usama’s bloody war lasted from 1984 to 2011.

That is also 27 years!

Both Saddam and Usama win a point from me

Now to the last milestone. It is placed at the end of 2 Q62. Mabus is soon annihilated and all these events transpire “when the comet will pass.”

If we factor in how Nostradamus uses comets as portents, the most obvious allusion is not some comet we see in a telescope. It must be a great comet, one that is seen clearly with the naked human eye, like the one, for example, he successfully foresaw describing events in the future French Wars of Religion that could only happen under the unearthly glow of the great comet of 1577.

The early morning hours, just before the hanging of Saddam saw for the first time to the naked eye what would become the brightest comet in 60 years, Comet McNaught. There is no similar comet of singular brilliance seen by the naked eye at the death of Usama.

I know, I know. The emails will come flooding in about Comet Elenin, but it is not visible to the naked eye and will only become a visible smudge with a tale in late summer. No big light show like McKnaught is expected.

Yes, as it approaches the Sun it has been part of some pretty significant, and perhaps more than coinciding, surprises. As I detailed in my last blog, see Nostradamus, every time Elenin lined up with the Sun and Earth, there has been a significant earthquake on that day: the Chilean quake and Pacific Tsunami in February 2010, the Christchurch temblor in New Zealand, September 2010 and the Japanese quake and Pacific Tsunami of March 2011.

There will be two more opportunities for Elenin to trigger quakes of global significance come this September and November. If Elenin achieves a 5 and 0 on significant seismic events and tsunamis before it slips out of the solar system after November, then it could be considered the Mabus Comet and Usama bin Laden would score one on Saddam as Antichrist candidate number one. However, for now, I have to give a point to Saddam, because the comet allusions Nostradamus uses in other visions fits with this as a visible heavenly portent of the death of Mabus.
