There is a lot of sensational rumor leaking out of the FBI like a broken inkwell for thumbprints, black and obscure, very messy! Apparently an Iranian-US citizen acted as go-between on visits to Teheran with operatives of the al-Quds Revolutionary Guards to pay for and hire Mexican cartel hit men to cross the US border and assassinate the Saudi Arabian Ambassador. They would throw a bomb into his lunch plate at a crowded local restaurant in Washington DC then hurl bombs at the Israeli Embassy. The blood money pledged was ridiculously low for any Mexican cartel to reap the whirlwind of US retaliation, a mere 1.4 million bucks. That will get you  a sack of cocaine.

I have watched Iran since my Boeing 747 Air India flight made a memorable midnight run over the Persian Gulf during the first week of the Iran-Iraq War in September 1980 while I was on my way to meet Osho in India for the first time.

The details coming out of FBI agent’s mouths – and flummoxing Senators debriefed on 13 October by such – are as clouded as Octopus ink and it is just as fishy. The whole story stinks to me.

It stinks of right-wing elements in the US and Israeli governments waving a false flag. These elements would still like to see plan B of their strategic goals achieved even in an Obama first or second term. This newly “discovered” Iran terror plot sounds like a semi-fictional incident (like WMDs in Iraq). It is intended to distract people away from a growing Occupy Wall Street national now “international” movement and perhaps distract people’s attention in Israel away from the steady progress of the Palestinian Authority towards some form of sovereign status in the United Nations by “trick or treat” time – Halloween.

It seems like a good time for government back door propaganda to stifle dissent in America and Israel with an ultimate and nationally uniting action. Let us make up a war with Iran and in the venture take down its Islamic Fundamentalist Theocracy. This whole terror plot smells of shadow elements in the Israeli and American governments that would like to accomplish the destruction of the Iranian regime.

That aim has been the Zionist/Neo-Conservative agenda fomented by the former Vice President Dick Cheney as far back as 1992 when Cheney as editor and a future G.W. Bush deputy Secretary of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz, authored the Neo-Con movement’s first of many evolving manifestos published after the fall of the Soviet Union. These sought to convince Americans of a new enemy to sustain the military industrial complex of the US superpower after the end of the Cold War. After the Soviet colossus fell Iraq and Iran, modestly if fairly fit the bill. They both were radically governed nations bestride some of the largest oil reserves in the world that sustained the United States “and” Western civilization with crude oil. These rogue regimes, perhaps rightfully, had to go, either by economic pressure or through unilateral invasion if global consensus was not forthcoming.

The Neo-Conservatives moved from theory to power in 2001 with G.W. Bush’s administration initially crowding their number in top cabinet posts.

Bill Kristol is the current editor of the Weekly Standard and a number of Neo-Con papers including one published in September 2000 just before the Bush-Gore presidential debates musing about the need for a “Peal Harbor” event to advance Neo-Conservative agendas. Kristol, who like many Neo-Cons enjoys dual citizenship as an American and Israeli citizen, and who also think tanks for Israeli foreign policy, has called for open war with Iran saying about this recently exposed terror plot, “We have an engraved invitation.” Since 1998, Kristol lobbied for war with Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq and said a fortnight after the 9/11 attacks in 2001 that “even if evidence does not link Iraq directly to the attack, any strategy aiming at the eradication of terrorism and its sponsors must include a determined effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power." Kristol advocated this stance in 2002 through early 2003 as a board member to the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq that lobbied hard to successfully convince Congress to vote G.W. Bush war powers to invade Iraq.

In 2000, a Neo-Con manifesto openly pondered the need for a “Pearl Harbor event” to hasten their goals. Surprise, surprise! They got one on 11 September 2001 with al-Qaeda’s aid. Now they had their national emergency and Congress grasped by its left or right leaning “balls.” The Neo-cons could make their puppet president do or say whatever they wanted because the hysteria of national unity stifled rational critics. By false flag WMD scares, they succeeded in 2003 taking down Iraq’s Saddam Hussein regime. Iran was next.

US Plans for war studied and rehearsed from 2004 through 2006 were so brazen that I felt it was time to collect Nostradamus’ many references to a war in our future between Israel and America versus Iran because it seemed imminent. The first of two astrological windows for war were open during 2007. If the first closed, the next window would open in the near future in not far off 2015-2016.

In 2006, I began composing an e-book that matched up Nostradamus prophecies with the lightly veiled apocalyptic motives of leaders in the three potential combatant states. First in America’s highest office you have evangelical Christian war hawks in the Neo-Conservative cabinet of a president who famously said that “God” told him to invade Iraq and Iran was next. You had similar latter-day aspirations murmured by the Israeli cabinet and prime minister – some openly musing that war with Iran would be a portent for the Jewish Messiah soon to come. You had Iranian President Ahmadinejad loudly and notoriously proclaim his apocalyptic aspirations for Israel being “wiped off the map of history.” Even now the Iranian president opens every public speech, even before the United Nations, with a prayer for the return of the Mahdi. He is the 12th Imam, the final prophet who will reappear from his occultation to bring on an Islamic Armageddon that will take back al-Quds (the Iranian name for Jerusalem) and make the surviving Jews true believers of Islam.

The mainstream news as ever, overlooked the subconscious motivations beneath this three-way saber rattling for Armageddon. In early 2007, I deemed it was time to publish my findings about them and perhaps go on media outlets around the world exposing these prophetic motivations examining possible war scenarios of the 16^th century French prophet leading up to those purportedly recorded in the Hadith by Islam’s final prophet himself, Muhammad.

In that book Nostradamus: The War with Iran, I gathered a number of Nostradamus prophecies that pointed to a future military showdown with Persia (modern day Iran) by Western forces. These verses using contemporary names from the 16th century even mentioned the Persian Gulf and its narrow opening, the Strait of Hormuz, as the site of a future naval and air battles where a fleet will be “melted and sunk” by those of the “trident.”

As usual, there are layers to the riddles of Nostradamus’ wordplay. The seemingly obvious solution modern people might apply is a US “trident” class submarine that melts and sinks an Iranian surface fleet that consists of an armada of thousands of small boats — none of which are larger in tonnage than corvettes armed with a brace of Chinese silk missiles. Certainly the overwhelming force of Trident submarines or the hail of fiery death descending from missiles fired by US Navy carrier jets, cruisers, frigates and destroyers would be enough to “melt” and sink any suicidal attack by a flotilla of PT 109-pint sized Kamikaze craft piloted by Iranian Shahid (martyrs).

Indeed, Nostradamus may have named the US fleet obscured in another interesting word riddle. They are called “the True Serpent.” If you look down 4.5 centuries of Nostradamus’ future history of the world that has become our past, you will often find his riddles and descriptions using nicknames or flags flown by armies and or fleets of water and even air. For instance, we have “those of the Sun” in Century 5 Quatrain 11 of Nostradamus’ history of the future Les Propheties:

Mer par solaires seure ne passera,
Ceux de Venus tiendront toute l’Affrique:
Lure regne plus Sol, Saturne n’occupera,
Et changera la part Asiatique.

Those of the Sun will not cross the sea in safety,
Those of Venus will hold all of Africa:
Their realm will no longer be occupied by Sun (and) Saturn,
And the Asiatic part will change.

Reference to those of the Sun standing alone is open to many possibilities, but the reference to Venus (a code name for “Venice”) is often used by Nostradamus to describe fascist Italy during the Second World War. Though Italy had possession of Libya, Somalia and Ethiopia at the start of the war, they did not achieve control of Africa, unless this is one of Nostradamus’ alternative futures only partially fulfilled. Saturn’s color is as black as Italian Black Shirts and German Gestapo SS troops, symbols of Axis fascism

The Battle of Midway, by R.G. Smith. Three Japanese fleet carriers take direct and fatal hits from US Navy Dauntless dive bombers, turning the tide of the war on the Pacific Ocean in June 1942. "Those of the Sun will not cross the sea in safety," wrote Nostradamus 386 years earlier. Perhaps his vision foresaw the great red suns painted on the carrier decks?

Those of the “Sun” describe the third Axis ally: the Imperial Japanese fleet, visualized in Nostradamus’ nightly reveries in trance as dark gray warships flying the rising sun flag. The US Navy and the Army Air Forces would nearly sink the entire Japanese fleet in the Second World War. The fall of the Japanese empire forever changed Asia, ending its colonial hold and that of Western empires in a series of popular anti-colonial rebellions in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and also witness the rise of a sleeping giant, the People’s Republic of China.

The true serpent fighting the Persians in our future may be another reference to a naval flag. In my book about Nostradamus’ predictions for Iran, I said the following:

Every ship in this vast US armada flies the US flag and a US Navy Jack. Note that it is a flag with thirteen red and white stripes over which an American Rattlesnake crawls under the motto “Don’t Tread on Me!” It is only in recent times that all ships of the American Navy hoist this flag. On May 22, 2002, the U.S. Navy ordered all ships to display the First Navy Jack as long as the War on Terrorism continued. Ceremonies to raise the flag of the “true” serpent took place on every US Naval ship on 11 September 2002, the first anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the “Pearl Harbor” event that launched the world war of terrorism.

On some near future date, or perhaps as late as 2015, the “true serpent” will “invade” the waters of the Persian Gulf.

So, with that said, is war with Iran about to break out earlier than the astrological window of 2015-2016?

My answer is emphatic.

It is no.

Gaming out this news of an Iranian terror plot this week is a propagandized step towards such a war happening when the astrological aspects I described in detail in the book open the potential for conflict once again about four to five years hence. Indeed the Navy Jack takes on new symbolic significance.

The true serpent flag is also the symbol of the American Tea Party. Perhaps in 2016 there will be elected a president of the United States who is a member of that “true serpentine party”? How ironic it would be if the party that often promotes America pulling out of wars in the Middle East actually got their man or woman into the White House who then led America into its third and most disastrous war.

Another scenario would have President Obama in his second term, co-opted by a Tea Party controlled Congress who pushes him into signing on to Neo-Conservative aspirations for a war after years of negotiation with Iran went nowhere. It is a fact that Obama at present has chosen diplomacy first in his efforts to take Iran out of the nuclear arms race with Israel. However, he has left the apocalyptic door open that G.W. Bush and his Neo-Con handler, Dick Cheney, had closed in their faces by events at the end of Bush’s second term.

Occupy Wall Street Goes Global
This is not a movement of hippies, corporate media hacks and it is far bigger and more mainstream already than the Tea Party ever was. Occupy Wall Street keeps gaining momentum across the United States with polls showing 75 percent of Americans sympathetic or in full support of the movement. This weekend it spreads to “Occupy” movements across the world in Europe, Australia and Asia.

Three thousand gathered before the London stock exchange, and six thousand plan to camp, Ziccotti Park NY style, before the European Central Bank headquarter in Frankfurt. Demonstrations where held in 50 other German cities including 6,000 demonstrators in Berlin and 1,500 in Cologne. Thousands also gathered before banks and stock exchanges in Australia, South Africa, Taiwan, Hong Kong China and Tokyo Japan.

The demonstrations in the US are at last showing results politically with Secretary of Treasury and Secretary of State, Tim Geithner and Hillary Clinton sending clear signals Friday that more bank reforms are coming and must come.

On an ominous note, peaceful protests on Friday and today were eclipsed in Rome with widespread violence. The blazing cars, shattered shop, and bank glass windows of Roman streets can be the future of this movement around the world next year in 2012, because Italy is far closer to economic default. Politicians are running out of time if they do not legislate banking reforms before this peaceful global movement must get their attention by rioting.

Are Atlantic Tsunamis coming Next?

Tsunamis come in protest movements. Will they be coming as waves flooding the North Atlantic coastlines of Brazil, America and Europe? The windswept El Hierro Island in the Canary Island chain for months now has endured a significant earthquake swarm symptomatic of an imminent volcanic eruption. Unconfirmed reports of volcanic material floating off El Hierro’s coast might indicate a submarine eruption has begun.

In prehistoric times a large piece of El Hierro sloughed off into the Atlantic no doubt causing a catastrophic tsunami. The satellite photos showing a green subsea plume of a purported fissure in the island’s undersea shelf on the south side may presage an underwater landslide that might cause a tsunami, though I doubt it would generate any to match the previous monster wave that raged off its northern shore in prehistoric times.

This situation deserves watching, but some websites are practicing prophetic hyperbole by inaccurately comparing El Hierro to its larger volcanic island neighbor Las Palmas as the same, even in photos used. For now, Las Palmas is inactive, so those of you who think a 130-to-160-foot wave will crash into the US eastern seaboard eight hours after an imminent landslide are mixing your mega disaster metaphors and islands. Moreover, most of El Hierro’s tsunami energy would go south to the West African coast all the way to Antarctica, not west, if we were talking about Las Palmas.

I consulted my oracle about El Hierro. In the worst case scenario a tsunami might arise as devastating to other Canary Islands as that which flooded Japan in March of 2011. The main visitations with sporadic harbor and coastal damage like what was experienced in the Hawaiian Islands and Santa Cruz California from the Japanese tsunami would range along the sparsely populated Western Sahara southwards to the Mauritanian coast down to the city of Dakar, in Senegal.

My oracle at this point does not see a major tsunami coming out of a future eruption of El Hierro. It is much more concerned with El Hierro’s volcanism triggering a Las Palmas eruption causing half the geologically unstable, western coastal mountainside of the island to suddenly slip into the Atlantic. Such an event would be a civilization-changing catastrophe sending a tsunami up to 160 feet high roaring 4.5 miles inland over the coasts of Brazil, French Guyana, Surname, Guyana, east Venezuela, the Caribbean islands of the Lesser Antilles, and the US Atlantic seaboard!

Europe would also be hit by significant tsunamis between 16 and 23 feet high, nearly as destructive as those inundating the Honshu coastal towns and Sendai airport, would visit Ireland, Iceland, England, France and Spain. The Canary Islands and the nearby mainland coastline of southwestern Morocco and the neighboring nation of Western Sahara might witness a tsunami flood 300 feet high!

President Obama on his first and epic diplomatic tour of Asia visiting Japan, China, attending a regional summit in Singapore and making final hop to South Korea at last restores the US on a path of engagement with the Western Pacific nations, long neglected by President Bush’s eight years of foreign policy myopia and obsession with Iraq. Whether Obama will gain more than a glad-handing and cup cake man handling by Chinese and Japanese remains to be seen. I will say this from the prophetic angle, Obama’s Asian odyssey will go down as an event marking an important shift in US foreign policy that will, for better or worse, bring the nation’s focus out of the Middle East and onto the region where the real future challenges lie: the western Pacific rim. It is a major theme in my upcoming digital book Predictions for 2010, which will be posted at HogueProphecy.com on 1 December.

I love to be wrong sometimes, don’t you? I especially like to be wrong when prophecy’s potential forecasts a possible future that we dare not take and didn’t. I wrote and posted the article below only to my private newsletter list members back on 22 February 2008. At that time I harbored hope that Taiwan would step back from what was a real temptation of its politicians to declare independence from China right when the whole world would be watching the 2008 Beijing Olympics a half-year later.

Reading the article “The Wad to End all Wars” today may shine a light on an interpreter’s hits, hopes and misses. I believe the predictions take on more significance now, as Obama on Air Force One flies back to Washington from Asia. Also, there’s this little song at the end I invite you to sing along with me.

A root motivation for warfare goes all the way back to its primal beginnings when ballistics were comprised of stones and sharpened sticks. People go to war to conquer and control economic resources. That is about to change, and it begins in this pivotal year of 2008. With 2008, we enter a new era when economic need will impede future wars, rather than instigate them.

In a new global society, economy has been freed of the constraints of national identity and political borders. The new year will test my prediction in the most potentially dangerous way. As far back as 1994, I have recorded on radio and television my concern about the potential of a Sino-Taiwanese war.

The mainland communist regime, the People’s Republic of China (PRC), ever since its inception in 1949, has laid claim to the province of Taiwan on the Island of Formosa, separated by the 80-mile-wide Strait of Formosa. It became a haven for what remained of Chiang Kai-shek’s KMT (Kuomintang) nationalist army and government, which Mao’s peasant armies had pushed off Mainland China in 1949 after decades of civil war. During the Cold War, Chiang fortified the island with US help and declared it the only legitimate Chinese regime: the Republic of China (ROC). His dream was to stretch out from Taiwan and take China back from the communists.

Over time the US and United Nations had to see political realities rather than this fiction and by the mid 1970s, the PRC was invited to take a permanent seat at the UN Security Council as the recognized Mainland Chinese state. Geriatrics and generational changes brought a slow eclipse of Nationalist Chinese control over Taiwan and it became more independently Taiwanese in national and political identity.

On 30 September 2007, Taiwan’s ruling Democratic Progressive Party approved a resolution professing separate identity from China and called for the enactment of a new constitution for a “normal country,” called “Taiwan.”

In 2008, a popular desire among the Taiwanese for official independence from China will prompt President Chen to make the 2008 presidential election a referendum on whether Taiwan should enter the United Nations as a separate nation.

The PRC has been dead set against it, or any other step that would formalize a break of what they view as a Chinese union of provinces by what they consider a secessionist, illegal government.

The temptation this summer will be high among leaders of the Taipei government to declare independence from China during the upcoming Beijing Olympics in August 2008. Would Beijing make good its threat to take Taiwan back by force with the whole world represented at the Olympics, watching?

A greater obstacle than losing international face is at stake.

Today, if China threatened an invasion across the Strait of Formosa, it would disrupt $80 billion dollars of business it does with Taiwan annually. Conversely, Taiwan listening to its fire-breathing secessionists would most certainly suffer a Beijing boycott before battle and invasion that might cripple Taipei’s economy overnight. In our times of global economic interconnectivity, if you bomb your enemy’s factory you destroy your own goods. If the US should go to war with China over Taiwan, it would be attacking its own sweatshops making merchandise. If China struck out at the US, it would be killing its customers. Big war in the old sense has become unprofitable. Thus, the opportunity for an era of intelligent diplomacy has never been in greater demand than in this new century.

Crying uncle, Taiwan might be amendable to a diplomatic solution offered by the next US president. I call it the “Time Out” plan. Taiwan would agree to full restoration to China after a cooling off period of 80 years. Perhaps that would be more than enough time for its free market economic philosophy to undermine the communist regime in Beijing. The pen signing business transactions is mightier than the sword. It will be the wad of money and the mutually profitable promise of commerce that breaks down all borders and ends all future wars

Who knows? Perhaps the new lyrics I wrote to Stephen Foster’s “Camp Town Races” might apply to what happens next:

The Chinese people sing this song:
Buddha! Buddha!
The Chinese race is a billion strong
Oh, the Buddha Day!

Somebody bet on Taipei.

UPDATE (circa December 2009):
The fire-breathing Taiwanese politicians did put a cork in independence referendums, thank goodness, though the danger of a mainland invasion of Taiwan remains quite real.

Now a new prophecy about Taiwan. The new US administration has arrived. When I wrote the above I visualized Hillary Clinton teamed up with Obama. Moreover, I saw her going to China and Taiwan to arrange something like the solution described above. What I didn’t clearly see was the label she would wear. Not a president or vice president but apparently the vision of the negotiator will be fulfilled as Obama’s Secretary of State.

There’s a certain dogmatic view in the prophecy genre that to be spiritual and saintly, you must bust your astral back conjuring angels of fire in some dangerous Theurgic rite, risking opening oneself as a channel for such unpredictable beings, after which you dispense your prophecies free of charge for the good of all and often the calumny of many.

There are those among you, such as Deb, who hold this idea that the great Prophet Nostradamus gave his predictions freely to the world. I think it is time to clear the air a little about that.

DEB:
I guess I don’t understand why you do not just go ahead and state the future, for Mankind’s sake instead of people buying your book. Nostradamus didn’t do it that way.

Actually, Deb, Nostradamus didn’t just give his prophecies to mankind. You had to buy them as books. You had to pay for every single prophecy he wrote. Even when he was first summoned to court to explain his predictions in 1555 to Queen Catherine de Medici and King Henri II of France, he was given a donation afterwards. It wasn’t enough to pay the fortune he spent on travel to Paris from Provence so he set up shop as a guest at the Palace in Paris belonging to the Archbishop of Sens. There he gave psychic and astrological readings to nobles, courtiers and their ladies who paid him quite well.

When the Queen invited him to the Chateau Blois to draw horoscopes of her children he was generously paid. Nostradamus was recompensed quite handsomely again in 1564 for making further horoscopes for the Queen after the death of Henri II in 1559 when she was Regent of the realm and came with her traveling court to pay her respects to the ageing prophet. By the way, if you were interested in reading that famous prophecy about her husband’s death in a joust when it came out in 1555, Nostradamus required you pay for the book and read it there.

Frankly, Deb, I can’t remember an instance after he began writing his prophecies, starting with yearly almanacs in 1550, when Nostradamus was not paid for his prophetic labors for mankind. I think the record of his accuracy is a good enough judge to say, Bravo! Nostradamus. You earned your keep. What you had to say had value.

In the year 2026, the Constitution of the United States will be no more. In its place will be an entirely different document, and an entirely new way of governmental rule, I predict that man will live in greater trust and love of his fellow man at that time.

I foresee one of these changes towards a more human democracy will include the abandoning of the Electoral College system.

Most of those in favor of the Electoral College believe it adds weight to the smaller states. They argue that 25 percent of the populace is in California, Texas, New York and Florida. It would not be fair for these four states to determine the presidency.

In the future, Americans will finally grasp what other younger and more modern democracies understand. A truly national election reflects the national will beyond state borders.

In addition, 25 percent of the US population in California, Texas, New York and Florida will not all vote in lock step together. Nevertheless, in a close election even a few thousand citizens in Guam could tip a truly national election. Candidates? Get thee to Guam to win every vote needed.

It is a myth that the Electoral College system protects citizens of smaller states. I know. I live in one and it is not a swing state these days, either.

These days if you live in small non-swing states, good luck ever seeing a presidential candidate pass through for a live stump speech. Even in the closely fought Democratic Primaries of 2008 between Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, we citizens of Washington State only saw Obama for a day and Clinton for two if you ventured off the islands to the mainland or emerged out of the fir forests mists and moss into the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area.

Correct me with documented proof if I am wrong but I do not recall if Barack Obama even visited Washington State during the fall presidential election campaign of 2008. I think McCain came once or twice, but briefly.

If we could have taken away the Electoral Collage in 2008, the sum total of all blue Democrat or red Republican votes would be pooled as a national sum without being divvied up state-by-state to choose the electors who chose the winner. You bet Obama and McCain would have come to Washington State much more often. They would have gone to all 50 states and territories at least once because once free of the Electoral College, we would be like any other modern democracy. Each citizen’s vote in a national election would be “national” not state controlled. Your vote for a president would really count.

Look at it this way. In my state, which is heavily Blue Democrat, Obama was sure to win the 11 electoral delegates so why waste time and treasure coming here, Obama? A million or more votes cast for McCain simply mean nothing, so why see McCain waste much time in Washington State?

In staunchly Republican Red Texas, which went to McCain, millions of Obama votes meant nothing. You did not see him campaign hard and frequently there for every vote. However, if all votes of all the Americans were thrown into a national polling pool then minority votes in all states in sum total do matter. Even a guy or gal from Guam matters.

People in the 2020s will look back at our system and say, “Well, if they liked the Electoral College so much, why didn’t they impose the same system for their state, and congressional elections?

“Why didn’t we hear the pro Electoral College people say, ‘Hey, let’s protect the small counties from the large and populous counties in our state by voting for electors in each who choose our state governor or our congressional representatives in Washington DC in a winner-take-all fashion? Candidates then need only campaign in a few swing counties, or the big counties with lots of electoral votes. Forget the rest.’”

The Wicked Witch for the Left?

Friends,
At last I can deliver a little prophetic good news to all of you who have read my forebodings that Obama has come to his destiny too soon and may see his presidency come to tragedy.

That future is still lurking, however, Obama has shown that attribute of potentially great leaders to change personal course, evolve, adapt to challenges, seek capable people of diverse viewpoint for council and thereby change the inclination of their own destiny.

Intelligence does not thrive in a rigid, ideological mind-set. A president who never changes his views, no matter what outside evidence compels is just the kind of old-style president Obama intends not to be. He’s no Bush.

That’s change, folks. Moreover, it doesn’t only bring a change in Washington beyond the ideology of the extreme right. You on the extreme left must also “change.” Get used to it. Obama’s not going to be the president you married.

Also, as I predicted, the first fall-out in the Obama love-fest would be those on the ideological left. His most mindlessly emotive followers are already wondering if Obama is the “change” they can really believe in. Now he’s formed a cabinet party of rivals, hawks, conservative democrats, a Republican Secretary of Defense and today officially selected his chief rival from the Democratic primaries to the most powerful cabinet post next to his own: Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State.

Some of the sour-gripers from the left have left behind their zingers in my “contact me” file about it.

Here’s one from — let’s call her “EYE” — posted on October 22, 2008. She entered it 13 days after I predicted Obama would win the presidential elections on Coast-to-Coast AM (7 October). You can read those predictions on my blog archive and my assessments.

EYE disparaged me for “riding the fence” and giving myself room in order for my predictions to play out.

I guess saying on the show Obama was going to win was riding the fence, and I’m assuming she didn’t or wouldn’t want to register what I said leading up to that forecast, recounting my evolution of a vision of Obama becoming president that trails all the way back to August 2006.

“Well, some of us can read between the lines,” said EYE. “Of course, Obama will win. You don’t have to be psychic to see that.”

I’ve heard that one before. I have videotapes of a morning talk show appearance I made in Portland Oregon the day after the Republicans won the House and Senate back in November 1994. The host believed it marked the end of Bill Clinton as no more than a one-term presidential failure.

Not only would Clinton not be a failure, I countered, but also he would win a second term in 1996, and handily.

The host hooted and called me crazy.

Four years later, in 1998, I appeared on that same show and reminded the same host that I had predicted the outcome of the 1996 election correctly.

He brusquely brushed me off — like EYE the emailer — saying, “Oh of course Bill Clinton was going to win. Everybody knew that! “

EYE did go on and make an interesting challenge. I’m grateful to her for offering it. She triggered an epiphany that I thought was timely, given that I read and responded to her missive today, as Obama wheels out Hillary Clinton and his foreign policy team for public view.

I want to share a more expanded edition of my reply to EYE and the rest of her salient points:

EYE:
As for the rest of your predictions, how are you going to prove that Obama would be better off if he choose Hillary as his running mate?

HOGUE:
Well, as it turns out today. He did. Officially. Giving her the next most important post in his Administration after president. The Obama-Clinton team was destined to happen. Where I got it wrong was thinking it would be Obama and a VP Clinton. I got the framing of destiny wrong, but not the essence of destiny. The dream-team has formed. It is even a stronger framing of team-power than I had foreseen.

Another aspect I saw in the past about the Obama/Clinton destiny was essentially correct but reality has framed it differently. Obama will learn to be president, but not as Hillary’s Vice President or as a Vice President to Hillary.

Now Hillary “can” teach Obama to become a great president as his Secretary of State. Her sharp intelligence will sharpen and temper his own.

EYE:
Would Obama’s destiny be played out better, if… the Clintons were running the White House, under the guise of her vice presidency?

HOGUE:
He has picked a cabinet filled with Clintonites. He has placed Hillary in the most important cabinet post. It seems Obama has more foresight than you or I grant him and more confidence in his ability to be the medium of change “and” learn from challenging interchanges of worthy rivals how to be great like his idol, and perhaps even his past life incarnation as Lincoln.

EYE:
Because that’s exactly what would have happened if he would have chose Hillary as his running mate.

HOGUE
I now hold more positive hope for his presidency because Obama has brought in the kind of Clintonite experience he’ll need to learn fast and become the great president I foresaw he would be later in 2012 rather than sooner. Now, with Hillary and other Clintonite mentors, Obama has brought that future forward.

It is a very positive development, prophetically speaking. Obama will need every advantage to face what’s coming. A man can come to his destiny too soon, however a potentially great man can change his destiny. Our human intelligence changes the future.

May his change be “smart” government. If it is and if he can survive the next two years, Obama who has come too soon to destiny, will invite destiny to come a little earlier.

Remember the famous Hillary Clinton political campaign ad broadcast during the Democratic Primaries of purring phones and sleeping little children? Some of it is about to become true complements of Barack Obama’s pursuit of a cabinet consisting of a team of rivals like the one formed by his idol, President Abraham Lincoln. He chose not one but all three Republican’s who ran hard against him to be nominated as their party’s candidate for president in 1860. He rewarded their rivalry with some of the most influential cabinet posts: William H. Seward as Secretary of State, Salmon P. Chase as Secretary of the Treasury and Edward Bates as Attorney General.

We mark today another moment where destiny opens a wide opportunity: when the president elect once again makes good his intention to be the next Lincoln; or, as the Clinton ad now should say:

“It’s 3 a.m. in the morning and your children are safe and asleep. There’s a phone in the White House and it’s ringing. There’s a crisis somewhere in the world…”

Your vote ‘has’ decided who will pick up that call if you voted for President Elect Barack Obama. “

This Friday (14 November 2008) he has offered the job of Secretary of State to someone who, as the ad continues, “Already knows the world’s leaders, knows the military, someone tested and ready to lead in a dangerous world.”

She won’t lead as President of the United States, because she lost, like Seward. She will not lead as Obama’s Vice Presidential nominee after the job went to now Vice President Elect Joe Biden.

But, if it’s three a.m. and your children are safe and asleep. Who do you want picking up the phone? Obama, that’s clear from a majority of the voting electorate. But the president may be handing the phone over to his first choice for Secretary of State, his chief rival in the primaries, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I’ve always felt a very powerful premonition whenever I’ve seen Hillary Clinton alone with Barack Obama on the stage during the primary debates. Destiny meant to bring these two human beings together in a political dream team.

I have NEVER sensed in my oracular states anything to support the popularized view of talking Media woodenheads on the television that Obama and Clinton could not stand each other or work with each other. The chemistry in their auras said to me just the opposite was true. That’s not to say they won’t debate and question each other in what could be as lively and challenging a collaboration in the future as Seward versus Lincoln in the past. But they will get things done. Great things!

I had misread my prophetic gut feelings during as the primaries ended. I thought this dream team would consist of Clinton as Obama’s running mate. When that didn’t transpire it felt very strange to me, as if events had gone against the grain of a destined, fateful collaboration.

This vision of the teaming up of the two is something I’ve been trying to frame in different forms since early 2007 in my bulletins, as any of you who have read me over the last few years know. First, I thought the team would be Clinton with Obama as Vice President. Then Obama-Clinton. I just couldn’t get the vision of this powerhouse duo to stop haunting the silent unguarded auguries of my oracle, even as the presidential elections approached and all outward signs of that future ever happening seemed dead. The feeling of a missed destiny stayed in a distant corner of silence in my future gazing, humming like a soft overtone, slightly out of key. It couldn’t really go away.

Today’s not so cryptic messages from the Obama headquarters that the job of Secretary of State is Hillary Clinton’s to have or reject, has brought the future of that dream team back to life.

If Clinton takes the job, the person I predicted since 1998 would become America’s first woman president of a Nixonian Democratic administration, might be part of a power team in international affairs and diplomacy not seen since Nixon chose Henry Kissinger to be his Secretary of State. In the end, this step may be her next step to being a president herself, in the future. One would only hope it won’t be tragedy that brings that step too soon in 2012.

I predict that if she accepts Barack Obama offer, we will see breathtaking diplomatic feats of genius not enjoyed since Trilateral Diplomacy, Detente with the Soviet Union, peace agreements with North Vietnam and Nixon’s historic visit to China.

May she be as mindful of her destiny and say, “Yes.”

In late November 2007, the President of the United States had to come home. He had not stepped foot in his official residence since late January 2001. It took a Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony to drag him, most reluctantly, back there. President Gore shook hands with George W. Bush, in a stiff and uncomfortable photo op. Even the figurehead for Vice President-in-Chief Dick Cheney’s administration, must honor pretenses and bask in another American’s proud accomplishment being acknowledged with one of the world’s highest honors for his ecological activism and documentary that turned and inconvenient truth about the dangers of climate change into a US national debate. If a majority of US voters now believed global warming was a real danger, even the White House-sitter, the former oil exec, big oil’s premier politico poster boy for C02, had to entertain this Nobel Peace Prize winner.

President Gore who now fights for butterflies was the one denied his presidency back in a close election in November 2000, because 6,607 Florida votes in liberal Palm Beach County precincts were mistakenly punched for right-wing Pat Buchanan because of an ill designed Butterfly Ballot created by some chairwoman of Palm Beach elections — a democrat.

Eight years later, something very wild “ass”-inine still stinks about the Democratic Party voting rules for most states. You can vote twice on the same day in Texas for the primary “and” the evening caucus. You can vote twice in Washington State but on different days. The Democrat controlled state government even spends millions of dollars manufacturing absentee and regular ballots for you. The Washington State Caucus held on 9 February saw Obama win 66.7 to Clinton’s 32.2 percent of the vote — a difference of 33.5 percent. The primary vote held on 19 February saw Clinton come within 9.5 percent of taking Washington back from Obama. The Democratic Party rules say the primary vote adding up to 354,112 (Obama) 315,744 (Clinton) didn’t count. Only those who caucused numbering a paltry 13,209 (Obama) 6,409 (Clinton) counted.

What could be more Jackass-o-cratic? A waste of millions of dollars and 650,238 voters rendered invalid against a scrawny host of 19,618 legitimized by caucus.

Why such a variance in voter participation?

A small but lively gaggle of alpha male and female extroverts who populate the sharpest left and right edges of political extremes just love a caucus where you stare down your neighbors and get a chance to pontificate or soap box your views. My direct experience of noisy, crowded caucuses says that people of a more passive, retiring and shy nature, are put off by all the histrionics and peer pressure hysteria. Moreover, many people can’t leave their jobs to caucus. A lot of the sick, enfeebled or elderly don’t go because they don’t have the stamina to tolerate the hubbub or can’t stand on their feet that long. They would rather cast their vote absentee and in private. My 80-year-old mother is one of these. She voted her absentee ballot for the Washington State primary instead of attending the caucus only to discover later that her vote meant zilch.

Even a donkey with red white and blue streamers tied to its jack-rabbity long ears should know that representative democracy is not at work here.

Democrat pompous polls and circumstance will only get more wild-ass weird now that Hillary Clinton pulled off a classic Clintonian “comeback kid” event last night (4 March 2008). The Obama-juggernaut was broken after an 11-election winning streak after Super Tuesday (5 February), of which four were Obama-friendly caucus elections. She WON the Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island primaries only losing the Vermont primary to Obama and the Texas caucus by a surprisingly tight two percentage points. The latter count is being disputed by Clintonites who claim they were locked out of caucuses by Obamite-voting precinct leaders.

This run for the Democratic nomination will not be over soon. Clinton broke Obama’s winning streak and proved once again that she wins the important big states a democrat must win to beat the Republicans in November: those winner-take-all horde of electoral college votes of California, Florida, Ohio, Texas, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee. Pennsylvania is the next primary battle state and it is Clinton country — the roost of rust belt, the NAFTA orphanage, the bear market den of beer drinking Dems.

She’ll probably win there too.

After Pennsylvania comes a rehash of that hallowed Democratic Party tradition of playing Demo-loose burro with the party rules. A financially burdensome repeat of Michigan and Florida primaries will follow in June at the latest. Clinton won both handily even when the votes were not accepted. The states broke Democrat party rules scheduling their primaries earlier than Super Tuesday allowed, back on 15 and 29 January respectively. Obama took his name off the Michigan ballot, but Clinton did not (clever girl). Obama kept his name on the Florida ballot (clever boy).

Before Pennsylvania, the previous elections totaled 11 caucuses to 15 primaries. The final leg of primaries sees the caucus advantage to Obama tank with only one caucus to nine more primary elections — advantage Clinton. Add two more primaries if party law be fudged to allow Michigan and Florida in rematch.

Would a resurgent Nixonian Clinton on the warpath going negative on a besieged Barack Obamagogue for lofty speech and little policy substance catch a bigger piece of the primary voter pie with or without a Michigan-Florida redux? I predict this race goes on to a split decision at its end. Imagine the future scenario of an Old West shootout in search of breaking a Mexican Standoff on the delegate floor of the Democratic Convention in Denver, Colorado.

Unthinkable.

In the “ass” end of the primary season, I predict the President of the United States will have to stop the insanity. I mean, the one that was robbed by donkeys playing with butterflies back in Florida in 2000. President Al Gore is the most influential of the supreme super-duper donkey-demo-delegates. He will broker a solution in June at the latest that will see either an Obama-Clinton, or Clinton-Obama compromise ticket presented before the convention.Gore will suggest whoever is surging at the end of the primary season should win a berth at the top of the ticket going against McCain in November. This “Surge” the anti-war Democratic Party takes very seriously. The candidate who is nosing ahead at the end of the photo finish has the better chance of being “Gored.”

History’s color is changing from mindful to emotive. It happens every 36 years in what is called the day-night cycle of the Cosmic Year. This is the time it takes the Vernal Equinox position of the sun — moving ever so slightly westward with every new year in regards to how it is seen from earth moving against inertial space — to circle all the 12 constellations of the tropical zodiac: approximately 25,765 years. A “day” on the Cosmic Calendar is a 36-year period of history where decisions and actions are a little more mental in nuance because like the sun soaked day it is a period of history in the yang. It is masculine time. The last “day” began in the normal years of 1972 — 1973 and is ending in 2008. Now we are entering a 36-year period of history where decisions and actions are subtly more emotionally driven because like moonlit night, we enter a period of history in the yin. It is a feminine time. Our emotions will be stronger. Leaders who skillfully appeal to them will succeed more often than not to positions of power over us from 2008 through 2044.

The pendulum of politics is swinging from yang to a yin age. It would appear now to be postponing or indeed preventing Hillary Clinton’s destiny to become president of the United States. Though she is a woman, and the coming feminine age will aid many more women coming to power than ever before in history, she has chosen to speak in a voice better suited to the Cosmic Day that had set. Her appeals to voters are through reason, facts, and the detailing of substance. She does not emotionally inspire. She has not yet found her voice, despite declaring so after her surprise victory in the early New Hampshire primary back on 8 January 2008. On the other hand, it would be fairer to say, the right voice is speaking to the wrong emotive times. A candidate who is the more adroit demagogue more easily manipulates the masses.

The word “demagogue” is defined in the American Heritage Dictionary as “a leader who obtains power by means of impassioned appeals to the emotions and prejudices of the populace.”

What I am about to tell you requires in these emotionally touchy times that I tread carefully with footfalls shaped in the right words to keep advancing on the razors edge of reason. One verbal misstep might see my point fall into the reader’s hot stomach pit of emotionally fanned fires.

We have two significant leaders, one thankfully extinguished by history and one of audacious hope on the rise, both at the dawn of two Cosmic Nights — the previous one starting in 1936 and the current one beginning now in 2008. Both men share one skill. Otherwise, they are poles apart. Both have that rare gift of demagoguery that literally could hypnotize a nation to be inspired to surrender their reason to their collective emotions. They were both men unsurpassed in their primal power of oratory. They both knew that a nation could be won by the power of the eloquent spoken word.

They were men who when seen away from the political pulpit could appear average, retiring, even bored and bland, yet place them before the masses and you could see them become possessed by a deep inner force. These two, who were not actually that physically attractive, when possessed by this force had an almost psychosexual appeal. The bland became rock star demigods. They became the mythic, glistening eyed, stentorian voiced heralds of a nation’s collective hopes and fears.

Standing erect, becoming bigger than they are, somehow these messengers of change, these definers of a people’s problems, needs, had become redemptive revolution personified, proclaiming a new awakening in Germany, a new era of change for America.

Then, as now, there were a few people, like myself for instance, whose awareness of the workings of mass hypnotic suggestion made them unable to lose their consciousness to join the cult of blind emotion overtaking the chanting multitudes in a stadium rally enraptured by the great orator. Those like myself back in 1936 or today in 2008 feel even a bittersweet desire to join in, to plunge into the bright waters of politicized passion. Let me be a part of the crowd that feels that wonderful and intoxicating euphoria that only the act of surrendering your individual intelligence can conjure. Ah that sweet voodoo urge to herd into that happiness of belonging to a great movement. What a bewitching relief. I am no longer alone with only my response-ability to think and question as companion. Love is blind in its scream of Beatles bliss.

Too bad for me that awareness has worked under my skin and become a watcher of the heart’s happy hysterias. I am a desert island-like individual in a sea of the mass hypnotized at these rallies. The captives of emotion’s captivation — eyes gleaming in dumb adoration, surround me. They are not hearing what I am hearing from the orator. They are “feeling” the speech, just like people did back in mass rallies of that other master demagogue of 1936. In both cases, these men said little to nothing of substance; indeed, the relentless list of flowery promises gobbled up by the transfixed crowds reached the level of the simplistic and even the idiotically absurd.

No matter…

Yes we can!

Hail Victory!

Barack Obama may be remembered as history’s next great demagogue. It remains to be seen if he can “lead” the United States as its president and really fulfill his vast list of high pie-in-the sky promises when the oratory love fest takes him into the paradise of the irrational. Crowds can be manipulated easily – not so those holding power whom you threaten with your emotionally charged calls to change.

Beyond the Obamagoguery, Barack’s rather thin legislative Senate record of little over four years length, if one would just examine it in detail, favors corporations. Opensecrets.org has disclosed the tricky ways business and industrial groups have gotten away contributing tens of millions to the Obama campaign without technically being recorded as lobbyists of corporations. Have the corporate suits found a new and better mouthpiece?

Beware of the CEOligarchy in search of one. We have somehow survived eight years under their last one. Have the CEOs anticipated the more emotive times leaning politics to the left, and found their new herald? It must be remembered, despite the emotional temptations of our new times to hope and forget, the last great Obamagogue of the previous Cosmic Night, beginning in 1936, became Chancellor of Germany only after the CEOs of his day chose him to be their spokesman in power. They did not anticipate he would take that power away. Maybe today’s Obamagogue once he is in power will surprise everyone and effectively use his powers of mass appeal to raise a rebellion of the American people against the tyranny of special interests?

I certainly hope so.

Mine is an audacious dream of hope perfectly tailored for these new times of Cosmic Night when reason and substance take a back seat to irrational passion.

I don’t oppose all wars. What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and other armchair, weekend warriors in this [Bush] administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne.

Last Tuesday, Democrats and Independents in Hawaii and Wisconsin cast their US presidential primary and caucus election votes — Washington State also, but its primary votes that cost millions of dollars to process apparently mean nothing. (Mobocracy in action.) The Caucus held on 9 February mattered. If you count Washington, Senator Obama of Illinois by winning Hawaii and Wisconsin has won ten states in a row and it would seem that his momentum into March smacks of the inexorable.

As many of you know listening to me on television and radio or reading my HogueProphecy Bulletins and books since 1998, I have foreseen Hillary Clinton running and winning the presidency in 2008. Many of you also know my views on the amorphous qualities of future timelines. Tomorrow is ever in motion because of the actions we take in the present can change its course and outcome. A future event can be erased, or delayed by free choice practiced in the present. Even my speaking and writing to millions of people over the years about a future event in its small way influences changing that future.

Hillary Clinton may still play her own Clintonian version of “the comeback kid” when the coming wave of big state primaries vote on 4 March 2008. A Clinton resurgent in Texas, Ohio and later in Pennsylvania (22 April) might take her into the Democratic Convention in the lead in pledged and super delegates. However, I am reminded of the one weak link, or better, the wound seeping out of Hillary Clinton’s future bid to the presidency that might become mortal. I published the following caveat one year and two days before the coming Texas, Ohio primaries:

My “oracle” has never been surer — and constant for so long a time, since 1998 — that Hillary Clinton is destined to become president of the United States in 2008. If ever something might harpy over and clutch that destiny from her it is her prideful inability to publicly admit her mistake in judgment voting for the [Iraq] war in 2002. She can blame [President Bush] for his faults but not at the preclusion of an encounter with her own. Eventually she will have to admit her mistake. She will most likely do it when it is both harmless and politically charming to do so, but that is not any time soon. Competitors in the race to the White House, such as Barack Obama, will not let it go, come primary time.

Hillary Clinton’s Albatross (02 March 2007)

He has not let it go; moreover, being far left to Clinton’s centrist politics Obama appeals to the most enduring and liberal anti-Iraq war factions among democratic and independent supporters. These voters are a big factor in Obama’s victory momentum so far.

Be assured that Senator Clinton will not apologize for her mistaken vote that started a bloody war in the Middle East, no more than Senator Obama will stop side-stepping and flippantly dismissing the issue that his cult of oratory hides a marked lack of experience and substance necessary to be the next president of the United States in these dangerous times.

I made that observation nearly a year ago in my 9 March 2007 bulletin documenting my augured observations about the rising American political rock star, the Senator from Illinois, Barack Hussein Obama. (See Obama Nation.)

I said that he was the happy recipient of political momentum coming from America’s karmic echo of old national lessons returning for a new learn. A good reader of the future catches the eternal reoccurrence of the past repeated in the future. Collective national challenges regularly return for a new turn of trial and error roughly every two generations. With this in mind, I began recognizing as early as the summer of 2006 that Senator Obama was destined to give voice to the resurgent echo of Camelot. He would resound the heady call of “can-do” days when a young and charismatic presidential candidate in 1960, named John Fitzgerald Kennedy, inspired and awakened the enthusiasm and hope of the first post-World War Two generation to make their initial impact on the political fortunes of the future.

The torch was passed into Kennedy’s hand.

Three years later, the fire was snuffed out by a national tragedy. Forty-four years later, and nearly a year after I foresaw Obama as the new “Black Kennedy,” the sole surviving member of the First Family of 1960, Caroline Kennedy, used the New York Times to endorse Obama as the man worthy of carrying on her father’s legacy. She passed the torch to a new young Kennedy, preaching for a change in leadership. She noted his lack of seasoning and experience was similar to that of her father and like what was felt in the past, experience to be president was not enough. Americans then as now needed to be inspired to find a new path, a new frontier.

When the heart flies, so far removed seem the lowlands of reason. And as it is with Karmic echoes, the lesson this time may seek a solution in reverse. What worked two generations before does not always work a second time. The most fundamental karmic lesson is that so much of history repeats itself guided by impulse and habit, rather than intelligence.

On 9 March 2007 I said:

Habit is history. It is the stuff of repetition, of people caught unawares by their own unawareness of habit programmed into each new generation to repeat the pathetic past and call it the brave new future. It was high habitual time that the American people seek and have their television tribunes tell then whom to groom for the next political honeymoon. Here he is…

History echoes, but it also likes to shuffle the sequence from old to new times. Perhaps Hillary Clinton, the echo of a Nixonian democratic presidency, is a destiny that may have to defer first to a new Camelot before it has its day. Now as Obama is in the lead and his hurrying to grasp the mantle of the new Kennedy is at hand, Today, I am reminded again with more urgency and concern about my prediction recorded back on 9 March 2007:

It is too soon for Barack Obama to guide Americans through that historic choice of destinies. He is not yet the echo of the seasoned charismatic who became president in 1960. Obama is more like the charismatic yet unseasoned hopeful who in the Democratic Convention of 1956 made a bid to be Adlai Stevenson’s running mate… Senator Kennedy sounded the charismatic karmic eco that roughly four decades later resounded in first term Senator Barack Obama’s coming out speech during the Democratic convention of 2004. In both cases they were men to watch, men who could and perhaps would be great presidents later on. Both the white and black “Kennedys” inspired the nation with their power of magnetism, their fresh voice, and youthful vitality…

Obama faces the fateful echo in destiny today that a young and inexperienced Kennedy did in 1956. He must choose wisely, as Kennedy had in 1956, to shine then retreat at the right time, and then be patient.

Barack Obama is a restless and impatient man. His time is coming but it is not now in 2008. If he forces destiny’s hand, tragedy, not a new Camelot, will follow.
