I will be on Coast to Coast AM, this Monday (23 January, at 11 pm (Pacific) for a three-hour prophecy marathon with George Noory as host. We will go over many predictions in my new e-Book concerning this important year 2012 and how it will dramatically impact the climate in politics as well as weather, the economy, seismic activity, and will rock the world of seven billion people and counting.

It is an interesting coincidence that this Sunday History Channel crowded the airwaves with three documentaries in which I figure prominently as a guest. The most important of these is Nostradamus: 2012. In it, you will see a crowd of Twenty-Twelver experts make their pitch that Nostradamus foresaw the winter solstice of 2012, purportedly marking the end of a great cycle of civilization as plotted by pre-Columbian astronomers of the ancient Central American Mayan civilization.

You will see me often talking about Nostradamus in the show, but you will not see me endorse the other expert views that 12-21-12, as plotted by the most accurate calendar ever calculated without computers, marks the end of the world or the end of the world as we have known it and Nostradamus agreed with this finding.

You will hear the talking heads around me hype the “Lost Book of Nostradamus” as grounds for tying Nostradamus to 2012, using as evidence the book’s nebulous watercolor illustrations pointing with the constellation Sagittarius’ bow and arrow at a coal sack in space that marks the galactic center. We are led to imagine that Nostradamus has painted this point and the lineup that will happen between the Sun and Earth with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy just like what was foreseen to happen this coming winter solstice by the Maya.

One thing I aim to do with my prophecies for 2012 e-book is to dispel this nonsense. For one thing, Nostradamus could not draw and many of the watercolors are poorly aped copies of anti-papal, Cathar mystical drawings composed centuries before Nostradamus was born. The book in question is not only “lost” it is falsely attributed to Nostradamus.

In addition, the Mayan “galactic alignment” has already happened, making 2012 not the “end all” year, but certainly another significant stepping stone in times beyond end time on the path of History’s quickening pace.

That exact alignment took place 13 years ago! The Maya may have been good without computers but modern science and calculations made at Jet Propulsion Laboratory have shown the exact galactic line up took place sometime between the winter solstices of 1998 and 1999!

Nostradamus DID NOT write the Lost Book of Nostradamus or draw its altogether vague prophetic watercolors.

Nostradamus NEVER mentioned the year 2012!

What Nostradamus DID write was his prediction that 1999 was the pivotal year when history would begin its apocalyptic inclination towards a new cycle of centuries, a new age.

To be fair, Mayan prophecy of end times told rightly or wrongly has achieved a critical mass of popular attention and for better or worse my new book of prophecies will chronicle that 2012 has become an end time of sorts, because we have imposed significant deadlines upon it.

US President Barack Obama faces a political doomsday. The US government stagnates in a critical mass of political gridlock too. Time is running out in Washington DC to get America’s fiscal house in order before a deficit bomb blows.

US Congress may let the clock run out on protection agencies, health and labor laws shielding citizens from dirty water, food, air. As many as 191 nations across the world wait for 2012 to end with pollution-bated breath. Legally binding targets set by the Kyoto Protocol in 1997 to reduce climate emissions that contribute to global warming will run out.

Gabriel’s Horn may blow, taking down European banks that can no longer postpone the inevitable: to either sustain or shed bankrupt member countries of the Euro Monetary Union. End times are coming to the US-Pakistani alliance with significant consequences for the US-NATO occupation of Afghanistan.

NeoCons are also blowing their horns very hard and loud from the halls of Washington to Jerusalem to propagate a war with Iran over its purported nuclear weapons program, just like they successfully NeoConned America in 2002 to invade and occupy Iraq with little actionable evidence.

A string of critical mass actions make 2012 the year when corporate push comes to citizen shove on the streets of the world. The Arab Spring of 2011 will give birth to an “American Spring” in 2012.

My Oracle in this new e-Book takes you on a journey through the days of this pivotal year, the first real “Oh Shit!” year of the 21st century. It will help you anticipate and understand what is really going down in current events in a year when the mollifying media forces of corporate interests try hard to steer your intelligence away from our quickening history like never before.

2012 is not a year of galactic alignment. Happy Chinese New Year of the Dragon to you all, both long-time and new readers of this web site. There is quite a flood of new readers pouring in because of my scheduled appearances on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory on Monday night and the Kevin Smith Show on Wednesday evening. I thought it would be a good time to renew for veteran readers and introduce to all you new readers a brief manifesto of what HogueProphecy.com is all about.

Prophecy is an echo of actions engaged in the only time we known in which we are empowered to affect a change in destiny: the eternity of the present – this atomic moment. This little flash of Present is the silent explosion that lights the soul, every moment, dying and being reborn. From awareness of this profound and immediate moment come insights, intelligence and all creative solutions to human and global problems.

I am a scholar and purveyor of prophecy who is anti-prophetic. My interest is in taking you through the potentials of the future to help make you better understand the realities of the present day, which these potentials echo. If those gifted with future sight share with us prophecy that reverberates a dissonance, they are only telling us to change our “tune” in the present to something more harmonious.

Only a humanity that brings its full life force and energy into the present moment can change the dire dissonance of the future reverbing back to us in the potential realm of tomorrow.

Hogueprophecy.com provides a matrix of information where current events and potential converge for examination and understanding. As its creator, I bring to this website not only the scholarship and knowledge of prophets and their techniques from around the world, from all recorded times, I also bring the subjective experience of the prophet from direct experience. One cannot know love by simply studying it empirically. Prophecy, like love, is intimate, subjective – experiential. I strive to find a middle way as a correspondent reporting on the future from a place of meditative awareness poised between intellectual scholarship and existential practice of prophecy.

Nostradamus.

I augment a prodigious output of free information composing and posting e-Books you can download that delve far deeper into prophetic themes. Following the tradition of the 16th-century French seer Nostradamus, these books include releasing an almanac of prophecies for each year and if I can, one other book each year enlarging on an important theme.

I would like to either refresh my current – or introduce to my newest readers – links to pages presenting an overview of three of these prophetic e-books that have only gained more importance and documented accuracy with the passing of time.

1. Nostradamus: The War with Iran

Will there be a military crisis when the navies of the United States and Iran play chicken in the most narrow and crowded oil shipping lanes of the world in 2012?

Nostradamus’ visions are filled with descriptions of fleets being melted and sunk in the “Arabian Gulf” (the name people of his time gave to what we call the oil rich hotbed of the Persian Gulf). He describes the fate of those along the northern coast of the Strait of Hormuz, named outright in his prophecies written over 450 years ago, from where Iranian vessels are based.

One fleet foundering in the Arabian Gulf is that of the “true serpent”. “The Trident” melts the other. Is he trying to describe the “smooth and alien shape” of what he calls in his prophecies an “iron fish” – a future US Trident submarine? Or, is he cryptically describing a trident symbol hidden in the abstract shape of a red rose of the martyr centered in the white stripe of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary tricolor national flag?

Could the “true serpent” be a 16th-century man’s attempt to explain the US Navy Jack, the flag flown by the US Fifth Fleet on station patrolling the Persian Gulf that displays a rattlesnake over a field of thirteen white and red stripes, under which is written the American Revolutionary motto “Don’t Tread on Me”?

I collected all of Nostradamus’ references to a future war with Iran in early 2007. Given the rising tensions and brinkmanship of US and Iranian navies in the Strait of Hormuz, it might be good to re-examine my interpretations especially as Nostradamus clearly dates the window for a war in those waters which, if it happens will directly impact your lives. 2. Nostradamus and the Antichrist: Code Named MABUS

I wrote an e-Book in the spring and summer of 2008 that even now, as I read it again, the message reads as if it were written yesterday. I would not update anything. It describes the most burning controversy in the study of Nostradamus.

Who is the third and final Antichrist he foresaw?

Is he alive among us today?

Nostradamus is unique among prophets foreseeing not one but three Antichrists. He gives them cryptic names. The first may have been Napoleon King (Napaulon Roy). The second (Hister), Adolf Hitler.

The third he code names Mabus. Using Nostradamus’ laws of anagram word play, there are a number of modern leaders and jihad terrorists from the Middle East as well as their chief adversaries – two modern American presidents – whose names can be decoded from Mabus. Whether they are intended or not by Nostradamus, the four principle candidates are Saddam Hussein, G.W. Bush, Osama bin Laden, and the current US president, Barack Obama. The latter even has a member of his cabinet who is named “Mabus”. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus to be exact, who is quite busy with a naval standoff with Iran in the Persian Gulf.

3. The Last Pope and the Last Pope Revisited

Pope Benedict XVI is aging. He is in his mid-80s and was seen rolled into Christmas Midnight Mass held at 10 pm because of his age. There have been rumors that he might step down as Vicar of Christ for over 1 billion Catholic believers, though I doubt he will relinquish the throne of St. Peter. What is a mathematic certainty is the days of Benedict XVI are numbered. With his passing, we enter the most important period in Catholic Prophecy. We will witness a new pope ordained who the Medieval Irish prophet, St. Malachy foretold will be the last pope before Judgment Day.

It is said that St. Malachy in 1148 listed 111 successors to the throne of St. Peter, naming each with a cryptic Latin motto. For instance Pope Benedict’s predecessor, John Paul II, is called De labore solis (from the Sun’s Eclipse). John Paul was born in 1920 on a solar eclipse and interred in his tomb under St. Peter’s Basilica in 2005 on the day of a solar eclipse.

Pope Benedict was foreseen as De gloria olivae (from the Glory of the Olive). Catholic monks of the Benedictine order had anticipated a pope from their ranks would rule during the times of the Apostasy (crisis of faith) for the Catholic Church – this Christian sect’s version of the Tribulation before the Apocalypse. Though Cardinal Ratzinger took on the name of St. Benedict as pope, he is not actually from that holy order; however, there is a sect of Benedictines charged with preparing the world for the apocalypse as foretold by Jesus Christ on the Mount of Olives. They are known as the Olivetans (Olivae). Thus it is believed that the reign of Pope Benedict marks the beginning of the tribulations of the Church. One need only recognize the great sexual abuse scandal rocking Benedict’s Church these days and wonder if it is a sign of this. Especially when evidence mounts that Benedict before he was crowned successor to Pope John Paul was actively engaged in suppressing evidence of priests sexually abusing young boys around the world.

Benedict’s name and destiny is hidden in the 111th motto of St. Malachy. After him comes the Last Pope, mysteriously named after the first Bishop of Rome, Petrus Romanus (Peter of Rome). His name appears in St. Malachy’s coda to his prophecies – a vision that may be only months or a few years away:

During the last persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there shall sit Peter of Rome, who shall feed the sheep amidst many tribulations, and when these have passed, the City of the Seven Hills [Rome] shall be utterly destroyed, and the awful Judge will judge the people.

It really does not matter. I always felt Romney would be one of the last two candidates standing. But events are ever the judge of predictions. Yesterday, Governor Perry heeded Gingrich’s call to rally conservative votes against Romney by leaving the race. He endorsed the former Speaker of the House. Back in June, I predicted Perry would still be in the race with Romney and would win the nomination on a conservative surge. That was wrong.

Well, as Governor Perry famously would say, “oops!”

I have much better luck picking winners of presidential campaigns by popular vote, such as Nixon over Humphrey in 1968 by a half million votes, Nixon over McGovern in 1972, Carter over Ford (1976), Reagan over Mondale (twice, 1980 and 1984). Nevill Drury, you still owe me a spaghetti dinner in Sydney Australia, next time I am there. That was the bet. I picked H.W. Bush over Dukakis in 1988 and you believed it was impossible.

I did write in 1983 for the Rajneesh Times a forecast foreseeing Reagan as a two-term president. H.W. Bush would follow as a one-term president. After him would come a two-term democrat president in 1992. That turned out to be Bill Clinton, who went on to win a second term.

The Bush-Gore contest in 2000 generated my oracle’s most cryptic message that many of you heard on Coast to Coast AM and the Jeff Rense programs before the election. The message was, Al Gore would win over George W. Bush by 500,000 votes but I was going to be “equally right” and “equally wrong” about Gore. Well, as it turned out Gore did win by a half-million popular votes but was denied the presidency by five votes out of four in the US Supreme Court over the ballot counting dispute in Florida.

Hogueprophecy was born around that time and since then I have documented the presidential victories of G.W. Bush over John Kerry in 2004 and Barack Obama over John McCain by around 8 percent of the popular vote in 2008.

Now, when you look at this record of accomplishment of 11 and 0, there is enough to make both Democrats and Republicans angry at my predictions picking candidates they do not want in the White House. So, when I say once again what I have been forecasting since January 2009 that Barack Obama will win a second term, do not think I am saying that with prophetic bias. If the prediction upsets you, look at your own expectations and biases when judging the guy who accurately forecast Republican victories in seven out of eleven presidential contests.

Anyway, I like to take risks and I often play the “Pick the Loser” prophetic game even though I do it with mixed results. Despite Gingrich’s surge in South Carolina, other primaries are coming with more national impact. Moderate Republicans are still alive and well in the GOP. After the Super Tuesday primaries, Romney will seize the lead and never look back. Romney will be running against Obama for 2012. Now to Iran…

As promised, I want to share a fascinating prophecy from the 16th-century seer, Michel Nostradamus that predicts a showdown in “Carmania” the 16th-century name for the northern coast of the Strait of Hormuz. This is the narrow passage where a third of all global oil exports pass. This is the waterway the Iranian Navy threatens to block if economic sanctions being considered by Washington DC cripples Iran’s only significant export resource. The US Navy has also warned that any attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz would cross a red alarm line and there would be military action in reaction.

So, with that said, I wish to quote a passage I wrote in early 2007 for my e-Book, Nostradamus: The War with Iran.

Carmania is a Persian territory on the northern shore of the Strait of Hormuz. Since Nostradamus wrote this, nothing historically significant has taken place there until recent times. We have to keep our eyes open for the French word sainct (“holy,” or “sacred”). Nostradamus hides his blasphemies from the Church inquisitors by playing off a Gothic “s” or “ƒ” for either “s” or “f.” Just like you can turn “friend” into “fiend” Nostradamus takes swipes at the Catholic Church by hiding fainct (false) behind ƒainct (sacred). This time around the false religion is that brand of Islam worshipped by terrorists. The “false” holy or fundamentalist fanatics, like al-Qaeda’s leader, Usama bin Laden, dream of establish- ing an intolerant Caliphate across the Islamic world. It was the al-Qaeda cell in Hamburg, Germany, that financed and planned the September 11 attacks on America in 2001.

The Ishmaelites (read: the Arabs of al-Qaeda) find “open” spaces in Germany to base a war of terror on Europe and the US.

Line three shifts attention to Iran, to Carmania, the northern coast of the Strait of Hormuz where so much of the world’s oil exports pass and can be so easily cut off. The asses is Nostradamus’ general condemnation of the Islamic fundamentalists of Iran, near past and future. Their brand of fearful, grim, Saturnian Islamist ideology will land its adherents inside white shrouds of Islamic burial. It predicts also the final burial of Usama bin Laden, or Ahmadinejad, or Ayatollah Khamenei’s or any other Jihadists’ mad hateful dream of a totalitarian theocratic world Caliphate. The war with Iran will initiate the beginning of “their” ideology’s end in naval suicide attacks across the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.

It has been a busy week so far and it has not allowed me time to write an article, especially as I had to prepare for a television interview for a Canadian television documentary. I am out the door very early in the morning to catch a plane. I will be back mid-afternoon Thursday. Maybe by Friday I will be able to write a few words about the Republican primary in New Hampshire, about Iran and all the saber rattling and also write something about my prophecy of 12 disasters for 2011. It was fulfilled, it seems. Until then, I take you back to the article already posted:

The last article I posted on HogueProphecy.com was 11 December, but I have not been idle. On 21 December, I signed off on the most epic of my annual almanacs predicting the events of the upcoming year. 2012 is significant, more so because of what we are making out of it rather than what the Mayan prophecies may or may not have intended. I had planned for a book of 36,000 words. The spirit of my “Oracle” had other plans. It flooded out of my soul, mind and fingertips a 65,000-word epic.

Many of you are already reading it since 23 December. You have made such a book possible when you began advance donating the cost of the book and more since 13 October to help me give it my full attention. The process took ten weeks, the last five being especially intense and sleepless in a final push. The great labor brought into the world this big literary “baby”. Your financial and psychic support was the midwife that allowed this “Mother” of all end-of-the-year Hogue e-books to come to life.

Now that I am somewhat recovered, I can at last return to more regular blog articles posted here on these pages. The work on the book was somewhat eased by there not being some catastrophic current event or historic milestone that required I pull out of the oracle’s composing zone to write an article. There was only one temptation. It happened near the end of this writer’s travail: the death of the “Dear Leader” of North Korea. His Kim Jong Il-ness. The jumpsuit filling, bouffant-cherub, Hennessey-swilling inspiration for Dr. Evil in those shagadilickly Piccadilly silly James Bond spy spoofs, the Austin Powers movies.

Despite Kim Jong Il-timed his demise, I had already anticipated the implosion to come in 2012 in North Korea when writing my 2012 book. So, if my oracle’s up to the challenge of getting the potentials for 2012 right, I at least had time to finish the book and get back to blogging before Kim Jong’s young-Un jumps into his father’s jumpsuit as the new “mini-me” dwarfish of baby-fat-fantastic dictator of a famine-stricken hermit kingdom. In the book I commented that Kim Jong Un at 27 looked remarkably like his chubby Papa before cognac, strokes and age shriveled that waistline and collapsed that hairy soufflé of a hairdo unto Un’s succession.

Dare I say it? The future of the dictatorship will be Kim Jong Un-bearable in 2012. For more details about when he and his regime becomes Kim Jong Un-sustainable join the swelling throng of readers who have received their advanced donators edition of my forecasts for 2012.

It is strange how celebrity deaths come in threes. I thought it was just a Hollywood custom. Something one expected of geriatric box office movie stars getting old, ruddy and flaccid like stellar red giants at the end of their cosmic cycle. It would seem that chance coincidence on the weekend 16 December 2012 takes the phenomenon beyond the cine-sin-city of my birth.

Though Kim Jong Il’s death is significant to my prophetic work, I could personally care less about this ugly little man, woman and child starver. Yet, an hour after hearing about Kim’s demise, news reached me of another death far more emotionally grabbing and significant to me. A writer I had read for decades and grew to respect for his confrontational and rebellious truth-seeking nature – damn whatever the fragile illusions of others he so often ruffled – had passed away.

The role he played I sometimes play with my readers. Many of you can love-hate me equally, have strongly differing views. You can rightfully or wrongfully judge my take on things as harsh and biased. Nevertheless, my furry owlishness on TV documentaries can resemble to some of you that moody owlish journalist glowering at stupidity through a haze of cigarette smoke. He could stare down with brutal dispassion the BS of others with that amber glow flushing his clean shaven moon face after one too many double-scotches on the rocks.

Some of you wrestle with my confrontations, the button pushing, the rebellion yet cannot keep away from these electronic pages, because with all my human faults and verbal savaging of iconic and dogmatic stances there is something here worth reading. There is a thread of truth worth weaving and perhaps even worth being tangled in.

Well, “Hitch” was that kind of writer for me. Christopher Hitchens, gadfly and atheist, rationalist to a fault, died like he lived, narrow and acid judgments, hard-loving truth-insights and all, encountering his painful end from esophageal cancer with courage on 15 December 2011.

Christopher Hitchens did something none of the US torture enablers had the guts to do. He underwent and documented waterboarding to see if it indeed "was" torture. When will Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and G.W. Bush show that kind of courage?

He died an atheist. Lord Buddha was also an atheist. The term would not preclude a chance that in life’s ultimate climax – death – Hitchens may have come to an understanding if not an outright and blissful dissolving into a greater reality. This understanding is far more ecstatic, vastly and powerfully “not there” – doing this “not there-ing” – within and beyond the surface mind’s childish stances adopting or rejecting dogmas based on imaginary friends called “God.”

I would say that the atheist, if he or she is not too stuck in cynicism and dogmatic stances but is a true skeptical inquirer into the mystery of existence, could be actually closer to enlightenment. They are not burdened with borrowed faith in their beliefs, which ever retard a real inquiry into existence. The atheist can be equally trapped by belief. A theist attaches to a belief (qualified ignorance). An atheist attaches to a “dis”-belief (qualified ignorance). Stuck in one or the other of two sides of belief, neither the theist nor atheist knows what Zen master Bodhidharma called the “no-knowing” mystery of existence.

Do not believe or disbelieve what Bodhidharma knew.

It only matters when you know.

The death of a head of state like Kim Jong Il was significant because of what will come in 2012 but it does not touch my heart like the passing of another one-time leader of a nation, the playwright, and imprisoned political activist- turned-statesman, Václav Havel, who also died on the weekend of 15 December.

With the decline and fall of Soviet communism across Russia and Eastern Europe, Havel became the ninth and final president of Czechoslovakia (1989-1992), then the first president of the Czech Republic (1993-2003). He was just the kind of human being we need sitting in a high seat of power. For one thing, he was “human” – not a member of that sub-human species called “the Politician”. It reminds me of an observation transcribed from a discourse of Osho, who is one of the more significant prophets foreseeing a new humanity born out of the travails to come in the 21st century. I published the following passage in 1994 for The Millennium Book of Prophecy. The system Osho foresaw for the new humanity coming transcends what we currently and incorrectly define as “democracy”. Actually it is “mobocracy”: either ruled by a mafia of the soul in the guise of priests, politicians and corporate billionaires who pull their strings; or, ruled by ill-informed, irrational amassed mobs of mediocre voters. Osho gives guidelines about how a bridge to that golden future can be built today by people that are the Václav Havel’s of our present day. The 99-percenter movement might consider Osho’s sage advice next year about how one can establish the next political system coming beyond democracy:

I would like all the universities – within each state – to call a convention of all the chancellors and the eminent professors; of the eminent intelligentsia who may not be part of the university; painters, artists, poets, writers, novelists, dancers, actors, musicians. It would include all dimensions of talents, all kinds of people who have shown their caliber – excluding politicians completely.

All Nobel Prize winners should be invited – excluding the politicians again… So from each state a delegation should be chosen for the national convention, which goes into details of how the Meritocracy can work.

From the national candidates there should be an international convention of all the universities of the world and the intelligentsia. This would be the first of its kind because never has the whole intelligentsia of the world come together to decide the fate of humanity.

They should write the first constitution of the world. It will not be American, it will not be Indian, it will not be Chinese – it is going to be simply the constitution of the whole humanity.

Osho.

…And a world constitution will be a declaration that nations are no longer significant. They can exist as functional units but they are no longer independent powers. And if the whole intelligentsia of the world is behind this convention it will not be very difficult to convince the generals of the world to move away from the politicians.

And what power do politicians have? All the power that they have we have given to them. We can take it back.

The members of the World Government will choose the world president. But the world president will be chosen not from members of the World Government, but from outside. And one thing should be absolutely certain about him – that he is not a politician. He can be a poet, a painter, a mystic, a dancer, but not a politician.

Washi’s ten hours of relentless downpour caused mountain landslides that have claimed 1,300 lives, rendered 300,000 people homeless – 100,000 of which are currently being evacuated because their villages, towns, roads and infrastructure has been completely wiped out.

First, I would like to welcome all the thousands of new readers of Hogueprophecy.com that caught the cyber-traffic tsunami generated by recent events, such as Hurricane Irene and my recent three-hour interview with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

The theme of this article — the bulk of which was first posted on 26 August a few days before the Coast interview on 31 August — is pertinent enough to deserve an insert of updates today, 03 September. My “oracle” foresaw seven earth-shaking events for the month of September. That is meant literally as in a major seismic event as well as metaphorically in the realms of politics, the economy and the climate shift.

I would like to launch today’s update with what appears to many of my readers to be a fulfilled prediction I logged and published last year on 21 December 2010 in my annual e-book of prophecies, entitled Predictions for 2011. It was one of the rare occasions that my oracle posited a specific time window for an event that might be fulfilled by the deluge of flooding rains testing the levies of New Orleans emanating from Tropical Storm Lee. Here is the presage:

New Orleans, it’s good your levies have been rebuilt for they will be greatly tested near Labor Day, August 2011. (Predictions for 2011, Chapter 10, Alarm Bells Sound the Unsustainable)

I predicted the levies would hold and I still say that will be the happy outcome. Even though I went on to say rains may also visit Houston, Tropical Storm Lee looks like it will slowly lurch towards the northeast and inject its tropical floods into a low pressure front that will carry its remains across the Atlantic states for what I predict will be another round of floods to rival Hurricane Irene’s visitation last week.

I am hopeful that Hurricane Katia will sharply turn towards the northeastern Atlantic and only reach out to brush the Atlantic states inundated by Irene with her tendril, nebulous fingers before brushing Nantuket Island for a heavier invasion of the Canadian Maritime provinces.

Now, what follows is the 26 August article with my inserts today in red:

We approach what may be the most volatile month of the year. My oracle calls it the month of seven seismic events. These are not just natural disasters of earthquakes and tsunamis. There will be quakes in human habit shaking the foundations of nations and economies.

Today I will briefly define each of them, but before we go forward into next month’s earth-shaking events, August still has some life in it as a month to remember in a year to remember that my oracle foresaw would experience the intensity of the quickening of climate change and history redoubled from intense 2010.

August started with the S&P depreciating US credit credibility, sparking a plunge in stock exchanges across the world. Rumbles of a default looming for Italy and Spain added more EU “eeeyoooos!” of market anguish.

Then came the mid-August economic yo-yos in global stocks rising and falling hundreds of points.

Then months of Syrian unrest escalated to what I will predict today is the Middle East’s second “Sunni Awakening” – though unlike what happened in Iraq. In Iraq, such a political awakening lead to a pacification of sectarian civil violence.

The Syrian Sunni majority is a sleeping giant finally mad as hell and not willing to take it anymore from a dictatorship run by the minority Shia Alawite clan of Bashar al-Assad. They take to the streets across the country now, bullets or no bullets pumped into their bodies by the Alawi controlled army and secret police stopping the momentum heading for a climax in September.

Then events in August played their astrologically prophetic part influenced by the year-defining square of Uranus in Aries 90 degrees Pluto in Capricorn that suddenly pulled down Muhammar Gaddafi’s regime in Tripoli, Libya.

The regime evaporated! The consequence of this is a classic Uranian aftermath: something murky and at any moment going to turn a topsy-turvy twist for unexpected good or evil. At the time of this writing Gaddafi is out of power, yet he commands diehard forces firing rocket-propelled ambushes in an urban guerrilla war in Tripoli.

Could any more volatility stimulate this most kick-backed of all summer months? In August, history habitually goes on vacation taking a summer break on the beach, working on that a tan and tank top or bikini Okie stripes.

Then the US eastern seaboard shook rattled and rolled from its first significant quake in 114 years, centered outside of Washington DC and felt across 22 states.

Church and State, Washington DC style, suffered symbolic phallic damage to match its leadership loss in credibility. The city’s main cathedral where heads of state pray and eulogize their departed and/or assassinated presidents got the heads of their shafted spires snapped off by the 5.8 temblor. Even Washington’s biggest marble wang, the Washington Monument, needs some structural engineered limestone Viagra to close a five-foot crack splitting its tip. No tourist will be climbing up this great white shaft. It will be closed indefinitely. If Hurricane Irene does not flatten its erection with her big blow, soon you will see this quasi-penile symbol of political power set in a sling of scaffolding and like the government it represents, it will become a political symbol of structural default needing repair.

The symbolic male member all cracked up. Now what more Mother Natured wickedness comes this way?

A feminine archetype to close August with perhaps the storm of a lifetime for 55 million people crowding the heavily populated coasts of North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, New York City, Long Island and New England. Here comes Hurricane Irene to finish August off with a punctuation of natural catastrophe!

2011 – The Year of 12 Catastrophes
I think I first called 2011 the above on an appearance on Coast to Coast AM in April. Up to that point, each month in 2011 had endured one significant as well as historically unique economic, political or natural disaster that in any other normal year would be a year-defining annual event.

In January 2011, a great cyclone and monsoonal flood inundated Queensland and much of the eastern Australian outback. See Queensland flood.

In February, natural disasters swung into political disasters for dictators as the “Arab Spring” sprang, taking down Mubarak’s regime in Egypt, the most heavily populated and culturally influential Arab state. See Egyptian Revolution.

March endured the great Japanese quake, tsunami and resultant nuclear disaster at Fukushima. To me that is one disaster with three hydra-headed dimensions of catastrophe. See Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

On came April and a US tornado season that up to that time was unusually quiet. Suddenly it exploded into the most deadly outbreak of tornadoes in over 60 years, with EF 4 and 5 tornadoes a half mile in diameter killing hundreds of people especially in Alabama and also in Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Then came May and the historic floods rolling down the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers vying for first place in the disaster sweepstakes with the EF5 tornado that flattened Joplin Missouri. See Mississippi flooding.

Then came the climax of months of great fires in the US southwest and Florida along with a biblical, triple-digit heat wave spread across much of the central, southern and eastern United States in June. See heat wave 2011.

There is a crack running down the center of the Washington marble wong.

Then came July and the Watts-ington riot over lifting the debt ceiling – a purely man-made political-economic disaster that along with a looming banking crisis in the EU shook US credibility economically and may have started the Second Recession. See debt ceiling.

Now we are at the tale end of August and it would seem the trend for monthly unique and historic disasters is in a three-way competition between the S&P stock market plunges, the East Coast quake, or another welcomed dictator disaster with Gaddafi’s regime collapse in Libya. However, I think all of this could be shouted down by the shriek of hurricane winds and the thunderous breakers from storm surges flooding the east coast from North Carolina to Manhattan and Long Island New York. Hurricane Irene will be the eighth of 12 catastrophes coming in the year 2011.

UPDATE 03 September 2011: In my opinion Hurricane Irene did become catastrophe number 8. The flood waters in Vermont, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey are still ongoing to at last receding from their highest levels. Already with nearly 50 dead and counting, Irene has earned a birth in America’s top-ten most expensive natural disasters, with an estimated property loss of between 10 to 12 billion dollars.

Hurricane Irene is just the kind of storm I warned readers of my prophecies for 2010 and Predictions for 2011 would mark Mother Nature’s third world war on human abuse of the planet:

Mother Nature sent a message in 2010, a historic uptick of climate disasters with some significant earthquakes and tsunamis thrown in. But human beings in 2010 lent an ear and more credence to corporate fossil fuel funded propaganda campaigns. A comprehensive Pew poll released in October 2010 discovered only 57% of respondents think there’s evidence of warming (down from 71% in 2009 year), and just 36% think it’s because of human activity (down from 47%).

Indeed that trend will continue in 2011. The human race will descend into deeper denial of climate change just when the first signs of catastrophe draws near…

They will forget about 2010 when faced with even worse climate violence in 2011. They will simply blink at the new norm.

… In 2011, we enter year two of World War Three, Mother Nature’s war on us. This isn’t some pagan voodoo threat. The natural world is ill. It’s fighting back madder than ever in 2011. Her fevers will be hotter this coming spring and summer, her chills colder this winter, her flood of monsoon tears and cyclonic rages will redouble from what was seen in 2010.

The Final Chapter: Alarm Bells Sound the Unsustainable

The way this year is going, I wonder if more than 12 catastrophes are coming. I reflect upon this especially after regarding what upheavals could potentially come next month, September 2011. While writing the draft of this article yesterday, the producer of Coast to Coast AM phoned in inviting me to do a three-hour interview on the last night of this month (Wednesday 31 August) with George Noory on this very subject. What follows is a brief overview of what I am going to describe as September, the month of seven “temblors” or “quakes”. In effect there could be seven potential shakeups in politics, the Middle East and/or the global economy ending with a seventh and literal earthquake event at the end of the month that could rival March 2011’s Japanese quake and Pacific tsunami.

I caution that a majority of these shakeups are not so-called “acts of God” like real earthquakes and tsunamis, but acts of human lack of insight and outright stupidity, so these can be tempered down or altogether avoided if more consciousness, patience and understanding is applied. Astrologically speaking, September is once again overshadowed by a very powerful square of Uranus (ruler of revolution and chaos) with Pluto (ruler of generational ages, business, structure and when the degenerate — systemic failures). Both planets in square aspect continue moving backwards in the sky in retrograde motion at the start of September, meaning forward progress is difficult, though introspection into why things are breaking down is made easier. For those who are meditators, who follow the way of the subjective science of self-observation, retrogrades are a great opportunity to look in and understand how the mind, both the individual and collective mind in us, ticks or dysfunctions. However, in the outer world mechanically motivated by blind hubris and programmed habit, this aspect tends to trip up forward progress as it will do in the first half of September.

Then, on 16 September, Pluto (order and economy) takes the mass mind forward out of retrograde whilst Uranus (change and upheaval) remains moving backward on exactly the same day when Jupiter (ruler of higher mind and spirit or religious extremism) returns to its trine (harmonious aspect) with advancing Pluto. Expansive, big-picture loving Jupiter will stay in this trine through 2 December 2011.

Here is a rare moment when I can say something positive about cosmic forces that can aid those open to realizing intuitively what is wrong with the world and how to fix it. This is the force that can turn an American nightmare back into an American dream, if the polarized parties of the Left and Right can see their active part in ideological posturing. Capricorn is about getting down to brass tacks of reality. Structures that work. Engines of industry and politics that seek shared values rather than polarity.

Lord Buddha once said, “The Truth is that which works.”

Temblor tantrums of Mother Nature inundate Japan in March. Will there be more coming in September?

Jupiter transiting the sign of the new Aquarian Age, trined Pluto in Capricorn is showering down upon our heads, be they heads of states or yours or my noggin, that same message.

The truth is that which works.

Seek that truth, and the seven temblors potentially waiting for the world in September 2011 may be greatly modified.

Here they are:

Temblor One – The United Nations Declaring Palestine a State
The United Nations will hold its annual general assembly in September. A motion will be heard to have the entire assembly vote to declare Palestine a sovereign state. This would include lands disputed by Palestinians and Israel in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as well as the Gaza Strip. Such a vote could take place sometime after 13 September through 22 September.

Such a move to push Palestine into statehood reality, devil take the consequences, is typical of a Uranus square Pluto Square, pulling the rug out from under decades of political maneuvering and political foundations embarked since the end of the Persian Gulf War in 1991. The so-called roadmap to Israeli-Palestinian peace will reach a dead end, requiring a new path, or worse, the two nations drive off a cliff.

To what abyss in which the two nations might fall is uncertain. Uranus-Square-Pluto with Jupiter mitigating it by trining Pluto might conjure an unexpected positive result. The UN just declaring Palestine a state could nullifying a process that has been going basically nowhere since the late 1990s. It could force the governments of Israel and Palestine into a fast track peace process because of the consequences waiting in Temblor Six, below. Jupiter’s aid in Pluto until early December might bring a window in time for level headed people to come together now that a State of Palestine exists, to make it work because the alternative is too catastrophic to countenance.

UPDATE 03 September 2011: One of my facebook friends sent me an New York Times article from April this year (see New York Times) which reminds us that the UN Security Council must first offer a recommendation for Palestinian Statehood before the General Assembly can vote on that statehood. The US has no veto power in the General Assembly but could use its veto power to stop any recommendation coming from the Security Council. What indeed will President Obama advise his Ambassador to the UN to do? That will be the subject of a future article. There is a very dangerous but potentially historic opportunity to change the gestalt (the perception and reality) and bring peace or war into a fast track over the Palestinian question.

Temblor Two – The Euro Bank Crisis
One of the reasons why this smoldering shock to the world economy did not happen burst into flame in August is because it was “August” — the time Europeans, leaders and led, all generally put business on the shelf and go “out to lunch,” off the wagon and into vacation mode for a month.

Then September comes. The tanned come home from the French, Italian and Spanish Riveras, Biarritz, the sunny spots on Aegean islands. The bronzed procrastinators park their sailboats and suntan lotion returning to their offices and financial institutions where a big bad Euro ass-a-dragon banking crisis is poised, claws clenched, waiting.

Temblor Three – The Return of the Great Recession
In August I listened to the talking heads of Bloomsburg and CNBC have bobble headed ideas about there not being a second recession coming to the US. Part of the problem is they selectively ignore Europe in the equation of a potential US downturn. They selectively ignore the consequences of climate change undermining food prices with crop failures. They ignore the consequences of Hurricane Irene flooding New York and Wall Street. They will have to face these shocks in the aftermath of Irene, in September and factor them into their calculus.

Temblor Four – 2011 Hurricane Season Peaks
Hurricane Irene is the first of several large hurricanes about to visit the United States in a hurricane season that, like the historic tornado season, started quiet and came on late like Godzilla with a hemorrhoid.

In Predictions for 2011, my oracle voiced concern for the next hurricane hit coming around Labor Day in early September, which is the peak month for storms. Another threat spins towards New Orleans and perhaps Houston this time. The oracle was concerned for Haiti as well. The split of Uranus going backward as Pluto goes forward on 16 September makes the latter half of the month particularly violent in hurricane events for the Atlantic seaboard and the Gulf of Mexico all the way to floods and typhoons in China and Southeast Asia.

UPDATE 03 September 2011: Barack Obama exploited yesterday — the most quiet day in the sleepy summer news season — to announce he would not use his executive order powers to uphold EPA limits on air pollution between now and 2013. Once again he shows himself to be a tool of big business interests, a Neville Chamberlain of climate change appeasement, when it comes to forestalling the oncoming climate shift. He has doomed 2012 to be twice as violent in climate disaster as 2011, just so he can once again hope for concessions from the corporate world, that, like Hitler before them, they will not uphold in 2012.

The Atlantic Seaboard is still in the cross-hairs of new hurricanes, as is the Gulf, as is Houston and Haiti, as this following prediction from my e-book of last year warns:

Haiti, although you suffered heavy rains and cholera plagues in 2010, there was no vast hurricane “Katrina” blowing your tent cities to sea and bringing walls of water off the denuded mountains you raped from your Mother Earth for firewood. (Do I sound harsh? As long as we make apologies for stupidity, it will continue.)

People of Haiti, you won’t be spared in the Hurricane Season of 2011. You will be visited by Mother Nature’s call for help, screaming in the winds of tropical storms crowding the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean in such frequency and intensity not experienced since the catastrophic 2005 Hurricane Season that broke the levies of New Orleans and scrubbed the Mississippi coast down to house-foundation bone with Hurricane Katrina.

Houston, you will be visited. Your fields of refineries clutched, clawed by superstorm winds and oceanic surges. (Predictions for 2011)

Temblor Five – Syria in Urban Civil War
Gaddafi’s regime has fallen. Syria’s regime is next and it could come as soon as September or at least begin its collapse next month with all the politically earth shattering consequences to the Middle East in regards to religious civil conflict between the majority Sunni and minority Shia sects of Islam. The Alawi Shia regime is allied to the Persian Iranian Shia regime as conduit for money, weapons and thousands of Iranian-built missiles stockpiled north of the Israeli border in Lebanon by the Shia Hezbullah. The latter fired thousands of these rockets at Israel during the Lebanese War of 2006, the same month-long conflict wherein Hezbullah checked an Israeli counter attack into South Lebanon.

NATO may aid the fall of the al-Assad regime, like Gaddafi’s Libyan “Reich,” with air strikes logistically made possible by US military support. The Obama strategy worked in Libya. My oracle has said for months now that there could be military action in Syria. Perhaps it is coming in September. This leads to the next unnatural earthquake in the Middle East:

Temblor Six – A New Arab-Israeli War?
In Predictions for 2011, my oracle had boldly stated that peace between Arab and Israeli is closer than ever before since the Partition of Palestine in 1947 started the first of many wars to come that launched the creation of the Jewish State of Israel (1948) and the Palestinian diaspora. However, I have also reported over the years that there is still one big Arab-Israeli regional war left in the unsettled hearts of Middle Eastern Arab and Jew. This final catharsis of bloodletting may at last exhaust an altogether inhuman cancer of suppressed anger from the hearts of both. Then, as a consequence of one last and completely wasteful brawl, the next four years will see the clenched fists, exhausted at last, as cousin Jewish and Arab brothers and sisters who call Abraham their Semite ancestor, relax and sign a treaty of mutually assured survival and prosperity.

The push to UN sanctioned Palestinian Statehood could open the conflict with a Palestinian civil war. The jihadist leaning party of HAMAS controls the Gaza Strip. The secularist, conservative Fatah, controls the West Bank. A new Palestinian State would parallel the dysfunctional outcome of another partition from 1947, that of India into West Pakistan, India and East Pakistan.

Statehood brings and East (Fatah controlled West Bank) and a West (HAMAS controlled Gaza Strip) Palestine, with all the same consequences that brought a civil war in the early 1970s fought between East and West Pakistan.

Iran will side with HAMAS as they do not recognize Israel’s right to exist.

A collapse of Syria will isolate Iran’s other ally, Hezbullah, who might then, prompted by Iran, start a new Lebanese war with Israel, only this time with rockets that can reach all the way down range to Tel Aviv.

Israel will not reply to this war of several fronts with the restraint of the last 30 years.

They cannot.

One of the biggest shocks of 2011, may be a short, sharp and very violent Arab-Israeli War this September through October.

As I write this, Israel is preparing to call all military reservists on full-time duty this September. The blows in retaliation from Zion under Uranus-Squared-Pluto skies could be surprisingly decisive. This may include a full-scale urban battle to destroy HAMAS making the Gaza Strip the “Stalingrad” of the Middle East.

Then perhaps, they all can talk of peace.

Temblor Seven – Earthquakes caused by Comet Elenin
Comet Elenin slowly transits in and out of our Solar System between 2010 and 2012. In that process its approach and egress aligns with the Earth and the Sun five times. Three alignments have already taken place with historic seismic consequences to those living along the Pacific Ring of Fire, the most seismically active regions of Planet Earth that encompass the Eastern and Western coastlines of the Pacific Ocean. The first two seismic events took place on the exact same day of the alignment, the third just a day or so off but close enough to mark Elenin’s influence.

The first Elenin lineup “event” happened in the Southeastern edge of the Ring of Fire with the magnitude 8.8 Chilean Quake causing a Pacific-wide tsunami on 27 February 2010. Next, the 03 September 2010 alignment stirred a quake on the Southwestern part of the Rim, breaking up Christchurch, New Zealand in a 7.2 magnitude temblor. Then on 11 March 2011 the alignment saw quake activity move to the northwestern flank of the Pacific Rim with a magnitude 9.0 Japanese quake and Pacific-wide tsunami.

Elenin makes another alignment on 25 September.

One quadrant, the Northeastern, remains unvisited.

I do not rule out another quake hitting Japan, closer to Tokyo this time, but I am also most watchful of California for this round. I expect there will be a significant quake and possible tsunami along America and Canada’s quadrant of the Pacific Ring of Fire as Elenin makes its closest pass to Earth on its way towards a transit around the Sun.

I do not subscribe to the idiotic rants of end-of-the-world theorists one can watch on YouTube these days coming out of the mouths of Australian Larakins of the loon or “former NASA employees” who sound less like scientists and more like janitors employed by NASA who sniffed a little to much floor detergent before becoming the next Chicken Little.

You are not going to be able to reach out and touch Elenin as it goes by. I doubt you will be able to see its smudge in the sky with a naked eye as it will pass dozens of millions of miles away from us in its flyby. Still, with that said, there IS something about the force of gravity we do not yet understand that has more to it than the mere pull of mass influencing our planet and our lives. Three seismic hits out of five is already something more than chance. Further seismic events, will not cause an end the world, but they may end the hubris of “Scientism” that does not question theories about gravity or open its mind to what Astrologers have known, even though they as yet do not have the scientific evidence to prove it. The he stars and planets, like our full Moon, exert subtle influence in our unconsciously lived lives.

Comet Elenin.

UPDATE: 03 September 2011: There are signs that Comet Elenin may be breaking up as the Sun’s gravitational pull and solar flares fry and stress its unheavenly dust-and-ice-ball body. Perhaps there be a reprieve from earthquakes and tsunamis on 25 September and then later at the end of November? Deep down, I will admit to this prescient hope, that Elenin will only be good 3 out of 5 line-ups for seismic activity. We will write more about this later in September.

HAS A NEW RECESSION BEGUN?

DATELINE: 04 August 2011: The Dow Jones Industrials plummeted today in the 9th worst single-day crash in history and the worst slide since the Great Recession began in 2008. Readers of Predictions for 2011, published in December of last year, are already aware that my oracle predicted  a second great Recession could come in the first half of 2011. It also said  things would begin lurching towards that recession around April and May. Those of you watching the smoke before today’s fire sale on Wall Street, such as Bert Dohman, President of the Dohman Capital Research Institute, started seeing the signs of a new recession in May and said as much today on this new “Black Thursday”  in an interview for CNBC.

The signs in May were a string of devastating housing and employment reports indicating modest and fragile economic growth was flattening out. Then at the half year mark world stock markets, especially the Dow Jones, began a steady aggregate decline in earnings right at the time the effect of the QE2, the  second  “quantitative easing”  by central banks was running out.  This includes what the Federal Reserve tried to achieve by purchasing $600 billion of longer-term US Treasury securities. Supporters of Fed Chief Ben Bernanke believed the beaucoup billions of treasury bucks and yet again another printing marathon of dollars was responsible for a little stimulation of the sagging economy starting in December. However, by June  Fed purchases ended and guess what? The economy started slipping. Add to that slide Washington DC’s deficit in leadership over a childish debate about the Debt Ceiling unsettling the world’s confidence. Add to these Greece on the verge of default. The Euro monetary union ready to break apart. Add to European financial woes Italy  about to join Greece in a debt crisis. Unlike Greece, Italy’s  economy, one of the largest in the EU, is too big to fail “or” be bailed out. All these factors have conspired to bring on something I have been warning since December 2008. That a second Recession, far worse, could come starting as early as October 2010 and no later than mid-year 2011, if serious and far-reaching bank reforms and Wall Street reforms did not fix what is a systemic cancer in the world economy.

Well… Here we are.

I will be watching the markets tomorrow (Friday 5 August 2011) and will then write a full article assessing what I already said in my prophecies for 2011 as well as share insight into the new era we have entered in 2011, which I define as a “Cold Depression.”

I started writing this blog the moment the House of Representatives applauded themselves for the “great job” they did taking a Debt Ceiling Deal to the brink of the United States defaulting on its debt. Now, the political Left, the Right and Center legislators in Washington saw this bill confirmed by the US Senate this morning, 2 August 2011 — what would have been default doomsday, Debt-ster-geddon, or Econa-mageddon for the United States’ triple star credit rating. Now the House homies can applaud themselves with this bill that in ten years will prevent the US national debt from carbing up an extra $14 trillion dollars in ten years. Give’em a hand everybody. Now it will only increase just $12 trillion in ten years.

I feel like applauding Congress like some lone guy did at the end of the late-1960s TV comedy classing Laugh In. Up pops the little German helmeted comic in the South American jungle. He says, “Very interesting, but stoooopid.” Cut to the final credits and off camera, one hears a guy’s hands clapping too slowly, loudly and sarcastically. This applause is for you, Congress and President: clap… clap…… (pause) clap………

From a prophetic perspective, the three-ring circus of the House, the Senate and the 101st Senator who occupies the White House leading the executive branch from behind is another dire step in a long process towards a future I have been writing about for decades.

The Debt Ceiling Bill’s passing reminded me of an incident from 13 years earlier between the US government and myself over where all this is leading America to. Back in 1998 I got up at an ungodly hour here in the Pacific Northwest to phone in an interview for an afternoon show (GMT time) for a BBC radio station in London about my book Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies. I strayed from Nostradamus to make a most memorable prediction that had my landline clicking with that telltale sign of wire tapping for the next six months.

No, Rupert Murdock’s people from Fleet Street did not tap my line. It was a low budget US government wiretap, because the expensive wiretaps do not click at all. You only know you are on one when your tapped phone connects with another tapped land line and then and they suddenly cancel each other out faster than a cell phone losing bars in the stony bowels of the Grand Canyon (“can you hear me now?” echo… echo…). The Bill Clinton clicker was replaced by a G.W. Bush higher-end wiretap that pulled the plug on my landline when I was talking to the publisher of Osho books.

Just a few years back on one of my regular appearances on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory the phone started clicking so bad we had to find a new land line during the commercials. When back on the air I publicly complained with tongue in cheek that my wiretap rating must have fallen at the CIA because we were back to the clickers. I recall adding that it was another example of government waste to put me on tap because intelligence servicers can freely drink to their hops content my intoxicating insights and barbs on this web site. All the CIA or smokin’ joint chiefs of staff or National Security folk can save the public some tax dollars and do what their operatives already do: tune into the radio, Discovery or History Channel for a Hogue fix or join my free newsletter, browse Hogueprophecy and/or purchase generously low priced e-Books full of future info.

But I digress…

The clicks first started tapping on my phone line in 1998 when I answered a BBC radio reporter’s question about Congress trying to impeach President Clinton for parking his dingy — or, apparently it was only his cigar — in the wrong dock.

“America’s democracy is adrift,” I recall saying, adding that if US Congress continues to descend into these unsubstantial debates or trivialize real issues laid before the country, then, we are heading for a bloody revolution in the streets of the United states sometime in the early decades of the 21st century.

Oops, say “bloody revolution.” Some robot hunter-gathering program must have picked up on that. The crickets from the CIA or FBI began creeping down your landline clicking away for more “bloody” talk. The threat phrase searching robots perhaps ignored the rest of what I said, that I am dead against such a bloody rebellion happening. That here at Hogueprophecy, I am working to prevent such a violent future happening by spelling out the present day’s consequences played out in the future. I am for a Jeffersonian, peaceful revolution in American politics; however I added in my BBC interview that if the trends of the 1990s did not change, bloody civil war and revolution in the streets of America was coming by the 2020s.

Forecasting the future of genius is hard, because intelligence is spontaneous and non-habitualized. Mediocrity, however, is much easer to presage.

Back on 15 July, I posted the first article about the Debt Ceiling. In it, I said the following, which is habitually accurate to the level of mediocre leadership coming currently from the Congress and the President about this Debt Ceiling crisis:

But Nostradamus has something to say about what will happen to your can of bean-counted economy if prompt and painful action — including tax hikes for everybody folks — is not forthcoming. Soon.

There is nothing nebulous this time in Nostradamus’ words, if this is about the fate of the global economy:

Mediocrity has a problem with math. Two plus two trillion spending cuts in the next ten years does not equal “Four”-teen trillion in debt being paid off. It just lets the monster grow to $12 trillion in a decade. Today, the Congress and the aloof president kick this overflowing can of Wall Street speculated debt worms down history’s timeline trail, whilst running out of temporal road to fix it. The can bounces past the Mayan Chicken Little year of 2012, past the US election year. It lands on the doorstep of a new presidential term in early 2013. You will still have Obama for a second term, by the way. (If you want to know why and stop it from happening; or, if you want to see what you can do to make it happen, click on predictions).

Obama will still be struggling with his passive-aggressive leadership style — best exemplified by what was his once-conceitedly touted “leading from behind” style. Leading from behind will see him in 2013 trying to catch up with his destiny, probably facing a divided new US Congress.

It may not be divided in the old way: Democrats versus Republicans. My oracle begins to see shadows of a new two-party divide in Congress of 2013, between Republicans and Tea Partiers. This is in the shadows of possibility, but for the record, I begin seeing that future as possible where a diminished democrat presence in both houses of Congress may play moderate wedge or just sit on the sidelines of America’s right leaning evolution.

The American Revolutionary flag adopted by the Tea Party Movement. Nostradamus mentions a sea attack on Iran by the "true serpent", which perhaps is his code for America under Tea Party control waging a future war. Astrologically speaking, this could happen in 2015 or 2016.

It is clear though that for now the Third Party revolution in Republican clothing moves forward. It has historically changed the debt debate in Washington. Tax reform and significant reductions of troops in foreign lands are coming in the latter half of this year. See forecasts for 2011.

At what a price in American confidence with government was this accomplished? The Tea Party’s victory comes at a time when Pew poles report 77 percent of the American public view all in Congress as spoiled children (their hyperbole, not mine). Only 17 percent view them as adults. Can a Tea Party Revolution thrive in such a climate of disdain for Congress when they now shape the debate, define what is GOP philosophy and share with weakened establishment Republicans, half of that Congress?

What is coming in the near future after 2 August 2011?

No solutions to debt crises. Real change we can believe in, real taking America back is all postponed by Donkeycrats, Dumbo-publicans and the latter’s coalition with a couple of Alices running for president in economic Wonderland, endorsed by sleepy door mice, march hares and mad hatters. (Hey Louis Carol. What indeed makes a ravin’ Palin like a writing desk? I there something in the tea…?)

In the shortfall between now and November, there will be deeper economic uncertainty. Everybody’s favorite Uncle Sam has put on a debt freak for a few months, but now with the vote passed like a kidney stone, Uncle Sammy seems to have found his lost marbles. Yet Uncle Sam’s economic credibility has been damaged in a way that no credit rater, making apologies like a wife of a drunk fallen off his wagon, can completely restore. We all hope it was just a binge of political madness and not a trend — economically speaking.

Astrological prophecy foresees a muddled economy waiting for the credit boom to be lowered. The economic world descends into insecurity. Uranus, the ruler of revolution, change or unexpected bad or good surprises is in retrograde in the progress-loving Sign of Aries. When Aries is moving backwards, he gets grumpy. He smolders, rages and it will have deep consequences. Look at plunging stocks on 2 August, another day in the longest down trend in Wall Street since the dark early days of the 2008 Recession. A lack of growth, employment and confidence has history lurching towards global economic stagnation in the months to come because of retrograde Uranus in Aries. This retreat in confidence will continue all the way to and beyond the Thanksgiving holiday in late November, the time slotted for a special congressional cost cutting committee (six senators and six House Representatives), charged by today’s Debt Ceiling Agreement, to actually pick and choose what trillions will be cut by Thanksgiving Turkey time, four months hence. Will it be defense spending? Will it be Social Security? Health care?

Congressional and presidential salaries??? (Nahhh…)

One might hope astrology forecasts progress in these talks coming in December, when Uranus moves direct course. But then there is that vast and invisible gravitas of the planet under which Uranus is cast in a spell of negative square aspect, Pluto, that ruler of age defining, mass minded regeneration or degeneration of civilizations which is in the early years of its long transit through big business Capricorn.

Nasty surprises are coming in November, because the special committee to advise what needs to be cut from government spending will apply Uranian “surprise” to Capricornian frictions of the planetary square. There will be back door taxation coming — what I would call passive agree-sive taxation embedded in the agreement coming from Congress today. A serious threat to corporate tax loopholes will be tendered rather than raising taxes. The president laid out his November demands today for revenue pain to be shared equally by the rich. Some may celebrate this, saying Obama stance today makes him look at least like the most adult person in Washington D.C. Others will gather up their loins on left and right preparing for the most partisan presidential campaign in history.

Uranus and Pluto right now are running backwards together in their transits of Aries and Capricorn, respectively, but that changes in September. Pluto will move forward and Uranus backward through the skies, starting a week or so before Comet Elenin makes its fourth line up with the Sun and Earth towards the end of September. When forward progress retreats and collectively unconscious history advances, the disconnection between these two forces of change and history gape. The square becomes powerfully unstable. These planets when in squares are harbingers of great and unexpected earthquakes, both seismic in earth and tsunami wave. Earthquakes in politics and economics also happen. Brace yourselves for the Ides of September, when the next great quakes and crises in leadership come.

Speaking of Uranian surprises of a happier note, many of the legislators in Congress yesterday were applauding the return of Arizona Democrat Congresswoman Gabby Giffords to the House floor to cast her vote. She has made a near-miraculous recovery from being shot through the head by the kind of insanity too often holding a gun these days.

Something doesn’t feel right, at all, for July… I do not know what will be brewing in that particular month, but it really terrifies me. I am having trouble sleeping again, in just thinking on it. On some days I almost feel like I am in a race with a giant event of some kind, looming over the horizon, or stark panic, hidden just beyond those self-encouraging thoughts. But mere thoughts cannot hold back what seems intent on manifesting…

Many readers report this collective feeling. I think these feelings are unique for our times because humanity itself is undergoing a global existential crisis. Our civilization is under threat from perpetuating our own fossilized traditions and stupid habits. The point of collapse for human and ecological sustainability is on the horizon. It is coming no later than the 2020s, but I think it is coming sooner. Already I have identified the year 2011 as one where alarms of unsustainable behavior begin ringing in food, weather and population sustainability. Humanity must now grow up. The world cannot long endure our immaturity and is beginning to heat us, rain us, wind us, flood us and ultimately shake us off her back if we don’t change our collectively unconscious ways.

In the last blog I opened a channel to my readers to leave comments defining what they think is Disaster Number Six for what I have begun to call the Year of 12 Disasters — one major catastrophe each month.

The Year of 12 Disasters: Keeping Score for June

Up to the approaching mid-point of 2011, we had cleanly clocked one major natural or politically regional changing disaster per month. With May it started to become more difficult to choose only one a month. June is crowded with candidates. But before we tackle June which is, as the song goes, “busting out all over”, let us review the months before it burst:

January: Australian monsoonal flood inundating most of Queensland.

February: The disaster for dictators, the Arab Spring Revolutions. Then comes the Libyan Civil War.

March: Japanese superquake and tsunami.

April: Killer tornado outbreaks in the US South.

May: Historic river floods on the Mississippi then the Missouri Rivers. Hundreds killed by an EF5 tornado flattening Joplin, Missouri.

June: What a spinning Carosel! It is hard to pick one to ride. There are so many. We had an eruption of one of the worst fire seasons in the US Southwest and Southeast in June that includes the Wallow Fire becoming the greatest in Arizona’s recorded history. My pick for June’s disaster number one is a fire and smoke maker of another kind, the Chilean volcanic eruption sending an ash cloud twice around the Southern Hemisphere, disrupting air flights in and out of Australia and New Zealand for weeks. A disaster that affects worldwide climate takes my vote.

Certainly, June had other alarms to ring awake humanity to a world that will no longer tolerate it. We have the lingering nuclear disaster brewing in Fukushima Japan. A huge, wind whipped fire threatens the nuclear laboratory at Los Alamos, New Mexico, where a lot of nuclear materials are stacked in drums in the open air. Floods along the Missouri threaten the Fort Calhoun nuclear reactor near Wichita, Nebraska. This same reactor had its water coolant pumps shut down for 90 minutes on 7 June, (click on Anthony Wiener). A no fly zone was initiated by the government with the lame excuse that it protected people from flying high over the flood waters, despite the fact that Fort Calhoun’s nuclear installation was cited as the problem, not the whole Missouri flood plain.

Sunday, 26 June 2011, one of the inflatable dikes around the plant collapsed letting in flood waters. The government spokesmen said there was no problem. The next day (27 June 2011), they admit the reactor’s water coolant system is once again on backup generators but bristle at the comparison of Fort Calhoun to Fukushima.

Anyway, on 25 June, just two days before the dike deflated, Gary wrote in my comments page that the Missouri flood was June’s number one disaster adding a little Ice Age prediction as a chaser:

John my pick is the extreme flooding of the [Missouri] River. This is largely being caused by the melting of the record setting snow pack. I don’t believe it is global warming. The needed sun blocking and but the beginning of a new ice age.

[HOGUE: and but????! Well that sentence made no sense, Gary. I will have to fix it in my full reply, now the rest of your comment:]

The extreme volcanism is supposed to be the part that brings the needed sun blocking and moisture from unferwater [underwater?] volcanoes.

HOGUE
Belief has nothing to do with facts, Gary. I will go into why climate change denial is a symptom of another sign of the end of a civilization as we have known it when I get to Kercelia’s comment below. What I will explain here is that record-braking snowfall is EXACTLY evidence of global warming. A generally heating up world atmosphere retains more moisture. Moisture is the gas that drives more violent energy in weather. Scientists have often forecast, based on extrapolating their evidence, that the first stages of a warming climate change would visit record breaking snowfall in winter with record breaking fires and floods in the spring and summer. So, it looks like we are well on our way to a warming climate change cascade.

Now, to volcanic eruptions blocking the Sun’s rays causing warming to cease (I guess that is what you were trying to write.) They have to be big. Really big, like the eruption on a magnitude seen in prehistoric times at the end of the Cretaceous Era, such as the Deccan Traps. These were a series of volcanic eruptions near present day Mumbai, India, spanning a period of 30,000 years creating a 123,000-cubic mile pool of lava the size of half the Indian Subcontinent.

Other than that, eruptions at best can only press upon us ash cloud induced ice ages only a few months or a few years in duration. Even a super volcanic eruption like that expected someday in the Yellowstone region might cause a Nuclear Winter style ice age, with dust and ash clouds blocking out the sun for 6 months to a few years. Catastrophic as that would be, it would not cause a return of a lingering 100,000-year long Ice Age. Indeed, once the heaviest elements of ash filter out of the skies the sulfuric compounds and other green house gases left behind as aerosols will stay far longer aloft trapping the suns rays inside the atmosphere even more efficiently than before, causing a spike in global warming.

The Mount Pinatubo’s eruption in 1991 is a prime example of this. Because of the volcanic plume, we had a general cooling of the climate for several years during the 1990s. However, as I accurately predicted back then, once the sun’s rays were no longer blocked by a thin ceiling of ash cloud, the lighter, invisible compounds floating in the high atmosphere did generate a climate changing, global warming spike in 1998 and word temperatures have been spiking on ever since.

Here was that prediction published in 1994:

Although the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo (June 1991) has cooled off the world temperatures for the mid-90s the heat is on with a vengeance by 1998. With this interpretation in mind we can expect a wave of global droughts by July 1998. From that time onward global warming steadily kicks in disrupting weather patterns and the movement of climate conditions needed to grow grain.

Kercelia contributed another angle of collective foreboding about something wicked this way soon coming only this time she sources it to a collective socially degenerative source:

I think that people are so out of tune with what is really happening due to a constant need to be entertained. Everything these days seems to be in competition as to what is the most outrageous. With the advent of round-the-clock entertainment via the TV and other media, people just don’t care what’s happening as long as they are being entertained.

This rush to be entertained is a symptom of civilizations on the brink of collapse. They idle away the last momentum they have left in distractions and entertainment. Look at Rome and its insatiable lust for blood letting of criminals, Christian cultists and animals in the Coliseum.

The 18th-century Ancien Regime of France (the French kings and aristocratic class) sought distractions rather than sorted out looming problems. The movie Dangerous Liaisons presents that quite accurately. Even Louis XV predicted that his successor would see the Deluge that he neither could prevent nor cared to prevent, degenerating, as was his moribund culture of blue blooded entitlement. Thus he dead-handed over the crown to his stodgy, unimaginative grandson, Louis XVI, who along with his queen and many a French aristocrat went to the guillotine during the French Revolution.

A predilection to disconnect from realities and pressing challenges is a symptom of the end of cultures cycling down to full entropy. Denial of realities, white washing them with a darling, politically correct euphemism climate change is just another Maria Antoinette moment.

When Louis XVI’s Austrian born and publicly unpopular queen was told of famine and bread riots spreading across France with the inherent danger to the monarchy’s stability overlooked, she shrugged her powdered bejeweled shoulders and said, “Let them eat cake!”

(Whether Marie A. actually said this is disputed by historians; however, the perception that she did say this was popularly “entertained” by the poor people grumbling in bread lines about the queen and court’s documented excesses, wantonly pursued to abandon while the people starved. Civilizations approaching their nadir choose to be entertained by myths rather than encounter and remedy hard facts.)

Our global civilization in a state of entropy has its “let them eat cake” term for global warming. The “cake” is “climate change”.

The euphemism puts us at ease with some sweet but factually white washing frosting spread to decorate and make palatable what is soon to cascade in increasing mean temperature rises around the world because of the unbridled increase of human manufactured pollution.

Now we turn to a comment left by Becky. She is watching the mounting seismic activity in the Pacific Rim (AKA the Ring of Fire). She is tying that to potential food sustainability problems that for me echo the bread lines of 18th-century Paris and a doomed-in-denial queen who eventually had to eat her “let them eat cake” words a few years later with a blood chaser foaming out of her own severed head falling in a basket. (Eeeeoooo! Let’em eat “nape”.)

There seems to be a build up for another massive quake in the northern part of the ring of fire. There was a 6.7 in Japan a few days ago followed by a 7.2 in the Aleutian chain. The ring [of fire] is having a doozey of a conversation. How are our food stores going to hold up?

HOGUE
I would say the time has come to store food and water for many reasons, not only breakdowns that might happen because of earthquakes.

Perhaps this is a good time to review and add to some of my predictions concerning violent earth and climate changes logged shortly after the great quake and tsunami in Japan last March.

My oracle gave me the message that the Philippines would be among the next hit. An eruption did take place on the island of Luzon but nothing yet to match the scale my oracle intended; however, it was correct about a powerful aftershock hitting Christchurch. Here is the quote:

My oracle predicts the danger would be moving south of Honshu Island into the equatorial or southern hemispheric areas. Be prepared in Kyushu Island (Japan), Okinawa (Japan), the Philippines, Indonesia, all the way south to Christchurch for more strong aftershocks in New Zealand after that devastating quake several weeks ago. Christchurch suffered a 5.5 and a powerful 6.0 temblor on 13 June knocking out power to 50,000 homes. As for the Philippines, I might have misread the message and would like for the record to amend my prediction. The quake off the Honshu coast of Japan may have pressed added pressure to the collision point between the Philippine and Japanese tectonic plates where they meet just south of the mouth of Tokyo Harbor. The recent 6.7 aftershock is just another pressurizing nudge. Most tectonic scientists are far more concerned that a second quake may unhinge the mouth of Tokyo Bay, sending a catastrophic quake and tsunami rolling into the world’s most populous city. Such quakes have been responsible in the past for shaking Mt Fuji wide black-ash-cloud-eyed awake. This could happen in July but is more likely to happen later in September or November. I will explain below.

Mt. Puyehue eruption.

The essence of the oracle’s seismic prophecies written after the 11 March Japanese temblor and tsunami have been so far correct being as they were more volcanic in nature. We had Grimsvotn volcano in Iceland disrupt air traffic, albeit briefly across Europe with ash clouds for a few days in the latter half of May 2011. June had the Chilean Puyehue volcano, 500 miles south of Santiago, blasting to life three weeks ago. It has already disrupted air traffic in lower South America, South Africa and especially across Australia and New Zealand for a few weeks. July is coming and we do not know what it could do next. The Chilean eruption is definitely the ash cloud of consequence. We will have to see what that does to the southern Hemisphere’s weather. It could bring a temporary cooling of the climate if the eruption goes on through July and August, but as I said earlier, that will just set the stage for another climate warming spike a year down time’s road. What is significant to remember is the last time Puyehue erupted was 1960; the same year Chile suffered the most powerful earthquake ever measured by modern instruments at magnitude 9.5. There is a connection between this volcano and major quakes and we might hope the 8.8 temblor back in 2010 was the tectonic tit for tat, but I do not think so.

No quakes hit the Pacific Northwest from the latter half of April into early May. I had been warned by a reader who is head of a coven of forecasters to leave the area. She no longer likes me but was compassionate enough to send her forecast, prophetically inaccurate as they often are (see earthquake predictions). To be fair she is not the only one who got a prediction wrong. Mine for a possible seismic event in California around the full moon in Taurus in May 2011 did not transpire. Still California is way past overdue for a large-scale quake from San Francisco directly bestride the San Andreas Fault Line constricting earth and rock all the way south and inland from Los Angeles and San Diego. Even Monday, the Wall Street Journal posted a story about growing concern over the southern segment of the San Andreas Fault near Lost Angeles and San Diego cutting loose. The San Andreas under what is called the Palmdale Bulge swells without pressure release for 300 years and counting. The WS Journal’s article focused on the economic impact on a fragile world economy if Los Angeles should rock and roll with a quake of 7.8 magnitude.

I am not getting any Southern Cal quake for July yet, or August for LA, but I am concerned for Southern California, the Pacific Northwest, Japan’s Tokyo Bay-Mt. Fuji region for late September and again in November.

John, your very accurate on your deciphering of Nostradamus and your own intuitive prophesies, good job. Last night I listened to a man named Carl Johan Calleman a guest on Coast to Coast AM you might have heard this interview also if not he had some very interesting topic on the Mayan long count calendar. He claimed the end of the calendar is actually Oct. 28 2011 other then Dec. 2011 it will coincide with the arrival of the comet Elenin and another comet that follows it. He say’s he’s studied the calendar for more then 15 yrs. During this time period there will be many upheavals to the planet as well as our global civilization. Elenin could possibly be the brown dwarf [star]?

HOGUE
First, let us deal with the idiotic. I am adding this bit in italics a few hours after posting this blog so that what I have to say is loud and presciently clear: Doomsday — whether it is projected for the world or if it is doomsday imagined for people’s collective unconsciousness, suddenly, magically going “poof” in a collective shift of consciousness — are both just two sides of the same coin of New Age idiocy. There are two kinds of Chicken Littles who misinterpret the signs either for doomsday or bloomsday. The sky doesn’t have to fall. Chicken little can think something fell out of the sky and knocked some enlightenment into him too. Here then is my prediction about Calleman: He will soon be remembered (or soon forgotten) as one in a long line of history’s Chicken Littles, who got struck by an imaginative idea, unsubstantiated by reality and then went peeping off all fuss and feathered about dates of doomsday light or dark, Mayan or otherwise that came and went without fanfare. The people of the distant future will tell you that there is no special date in a calendar that makes human enlightenment happen. If not now, then, there is no other time to harmonically converge, so put your plastic wands away and come back to the ground upon which you stand inside the body-mind in which you watch the mind and its flights of chicken flapping, feathers frapping, imagination — 2012 twenty-shelved. Come here with your intelligence, with your energy, with your love. Come HERE. Be here. Do it every “now.”

Anyway, Calleman aside, we just enjoyed such a goofsday last month anticipated for years by street billboards of a squatting man seeming to be scared-sh*tless, filling his britches, because the Rapture was set for 21 May 2011, click on end of the world.

Now to something far more plausible. Elenin is a comet, not a brown dwarf or cold star. Yet, as it approaches our solar system and as the orbiting earth lined up with it and the Sun a significant earthquake took place either that very same day or within a few days. The first alignment coincided with a magnitude 8.8 quake hit the Chilean coast sending a Pacific wide tsunami on 27 February 2010. Next came a 7.2 temblor shaking up Christchurch, New Zealand on 4 September 2010. The third alignment of Sun-Earth-Elenin happened, as Melvin correctly pointed out in his comment, on 15 March, four days after 11 March 2011 when Japan’s 9.0 quake crushed and later drowned over 25,000 people and knocked out four nuclear reactors along the northeast Honshu coastline with a vast flooding tsunami that also sent waves reverberating across surface of the Pacific Ocean.

Discovery of this alignment-quake connection came from the last people in the world — astronomers — who want to feed any interest in Astrology’s belief that heavenly bodies, even as small as comets, somehow influence the fates of people and the world, but there it was, reported by none other than the JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) Small Body Database Browser. Three exact and major seismic disasters hit exactly on three days of alignment.

What do they have to say for that?

JPL’s astrology debunkers give the established, dogmatic sci-spiel, that small cometary bodies crossing Earth’s path millions of miles away cannot have any gravitational influence on the Earth, blah blah…

It is a feint of Scientism to sidestep something rather than face it. The astrologer in me retorts that the Elenin lineup might be the first clear evidence of another force other than gravity that heavenly bodies impress upon personal and collective destinies of humanity. A true scientist would not spout canon law like a pope’s grand inquisitor but would instead be true to the path of knowing — which is what scire, the Latin root for Science — demands. Three earthquake hits out of three may be more than chance working its irrational magic, though I would not rule that out. Still, the honest scientific answer beyond shrugging it off as a coincidence might be to say there is some force out there they have yet to discover.

What dodge will those who promote Scientism Inquisitions say if Elenin scores four or five temblors to five lineups?

The JPL Small Body Database Browser tells us of two more alignments of Elenin with the Sun and Earth coming on 26 September and 23 November 2011.

Coincident or an oncoming incident, would five hits be something worth preparing for?

I usually do not tell people to anticipate events on a specific date, unless terrorist — domestic and foreign — are planning acts of violence based on playing a numbers game. For instance, once should always be a little more alert for white supremacist domestic terrorism — such as the Columbine, Colorado, school shooting — every 20th of April because it is Hitler’s birthday. Al-Qaeda likes to hit targets on number puns for emergency codes, like 9/11, or play with 7s and 11s. Some lone jihadist might try something 7/4/11 this year, so be watchful.

This Elenin phenomenon is different. It is just a happening, like the orbit of planets that astrologers like myself in these pages, have shown have a direct correlation to the timing of natural disasters. See earthquakes.

I will tell my readers today that earthquake preparedness and tsunami preparedness is a prudent thing to entertain for the next line-ups of Elenin scheduled for 26 September and 23 November. The fact that lineup number four happens close to the Spring/Autumnal equinoxes of the Southern and Northern Hemispheres adds cosmic significance. The 26th is bracketed by the Equinox on the 23rd and a New Moon on the 27th. I would suggest being prepared four days before and beyond the 26th.

As I have often stated, major earthquakes take place on or closely associated in time with New and Full Moons. Many of history’s deadliest earthquakes happen when Uranus is undergoing a significant 90-degree square aspect. It so happens that Uranus in Aries (fire sign = volcanoes) will still be in its long-term square of Pluto in Capricorn (earth sign = earthquakes) on 26 September. Moreover, Uranus will be in retrograde motion whilst Pluto the week before will have come out of retrograde moving direct — another signature in the cosmos that causes quakes on Earth. Mars, by the way, will be trined with Uranus. That is usually a positive aspect, but the term positive can also cover a positive movement of tectonic plates that the planet sometimes needs to thrust about for its own positive evolution, despite what it might do to the little human fleas on its dancing backside.

Given the regularity of Comet Elenin’s lineups so far, look to the days around 26 September as the most dangerous time this year for natural, economic or political disasters.

Black fire flashing in his eyes, President Obama late night addressed his nation and confirmed in action what my oracle had foreseen and anticipated 21 months ago, even though it long remained a lone prescient voice in a wilderness of future gazers who just did not believe Obama meant what he said. Well, he does mean what he said about withdrawing US troops from Afghanistan, starting next month, July 2011 and by the time July 2012 comes around he pledged that 33,000 US soldiers will leave Afghanistan. My oracle believes that number will be far higher as we will see.

Lex, the web master of the Coast to Coast AM, produced this concise and comprehensive overview of the subjects George Noory and I tackled the night before in a radio show broadcast across North America (click on Coast to Coast AM)

“Appearing during all 4 hours of the show, prophecy scholar and expert on Nostradamus, John Hogue discussed his predictions for 2009, the future of the economy and the Obama presidency, and also touched on Nostradamus’ writings about the Antichrist. In reviewing some of his previously published predictions for 2009, Hogue reported that he’d been accurate about foreseeing Obama handling three international crises by the early spring, and that the new Republican Party chairman would be an African American.

“Obama will be a two-term president, but he won’t come into his own until his second term, when he’ll evolve from being an agent of compromise to fighting to change the system, Hogue stated… The war in Afghanistan will turn into a quagmire, like Iraq was to the Bush administration, and the US will disengage from the conflict sometime between 2010 – 2013, he predicted.

ASSESSMENT
If you link to that archived show you will hear me tell George Noory that Obama would initiate a troop surge of 40,000 soldiers but he would put an 18 month deadline on the troop surge and begin pulling US forces out of Afghanistan. It is important to remember that when I said this in early September 2009, Obama was months away from deciding on the troop surge. There was no talk of a deadline until he later announced his plans in December of 2009 to put an 18-month deadline on the surge securing Afghanistan amounting to an added 33,000 US and 8,000 NATO troops (40,000 in all).

In a blog posted 8 October 2009, click on Afghanistan War, I made the following observation based on a prediction signed off nearly 9 months earlier on 24 January 2009, see italics:

The future historians will tell you what I say now: America lost the war in Afghanistan at the Battle of Tora Bora. If Obama is seduced into thinking by a blast of CEOs-in brass at the Pentagon that he can win what was lost by digging in deeper into that broken chaos of a corruptly ungovernable country, he will fulfill my warning passed for the prophetic record in Predictions for 2009 [published on 24 January 2009]:

I see in Obama a Kennedy-like obsession about going into Afghanistan and perhaps even Pakistan to hunt down Usama bin Laden…

Is that sign of blunder coming to test Obama’s first year in office?

Yes! Mars passes through Cancer from 8/26/09 to 10/17/09.

We wait to see if Obama will Kennedy or L. B. Johnson himself into his own ill-aspected Mars in Cancer Vietnam. (The Gulf of Tonkin Incident in 1964 under Johnson’s watch, which became grounds for the Vietnam War, happened under the same [astrological] aspect.) The other recourse is to ignore the rush of war and visualize Obama begin a methodical strategic retreat that will see US involvement in Afghanistan all but end in the next three years.

I am of the oracular mind that Obama will dramatically increase US military involvement for a time much shorter than the Pentagon chiefs want in hopes of dramatically seeking out and destroying al-Qaeda, even though it is no longer strategically significant and could very well be the cause of the collapse of Pakistan as I warned in Predictions for 2009.

ASSESSMENT
Obama did make his momentous decision to surge troops into Afghanistan during the Mars in Cancer transit; however, he is on record being mindful of the mistakes of Johnson in Vietnam and has said he would not keep US forces trapped in a strategically untenable situation. Though most news network talking expert heads dismissed this possibility for the next 18 months of a serious withdrawal, my oracle did not.

The oracle’s views were reflected in prophecies for 2010 signed off on 1 November 2009:

Afghanistan under Obama is little different in popular opinion than Afghanistan under eight years of Bush indecision. The country wants the troops home, however Obama seems poised to listen to the brass and bemedaled Pentagon CEOs of the military industrial complex who want to keep the war business there going on. He’s sending a lot more troops soon, unless I’ve happily misread my oracle.

Predictions for 2010

ASSESSMENT
A month later, on 2 December 2009, Obama announced his troop surge in Afghanistan in a speech held at the US Military Academy at West Point. In the next passage my oracle anticipated in detail the surge, the number of NATO and US troops in the surge, the record combat casualties to come in 2010, the bloodiest losses in the war so far, and the timeline for surge troop withdrawals to begin 18 months later (July 2011):

When Obama reads about the mistakes of Vietnam he should avoid turning Afghanistan into his own “Vietnamistan” by enabling what President Kennedy planned but Vice President Johnson ignored. Kennedy had the intestinal and strategic fortitude to plan a withdrawal from South Vietnam and cut US losses early in his second term. Assassination and Johnson’s ascent to the presidency ended that plan. Johnson poured in more troops and there we have his cautionary tale. If Obama isn’t careful, all of his good will, political capital and dreams of changing America will be squandered in an obsession of deeper involvement in Afghanistan. Obama’s change revolution undermined just like Johnson’s Great Society.

Beware of it in 2010 Mr. Obama because I know you will raise US troop involvement in Afghanistan to its highest level. You will endure tolls of American dead and wounded per month as high as the Iraq Occupation at its peak. I also discern with oracular help that you have bargained with the Pentagon to affect a compromise strategy. The generals prevailed upon you to receive their 40,000-troop increase, but you will counter putting the surge on a short time leash of 18 months. If Afghani urban civilian populations aren’t protected and their infrastructure improved, if the endemic corruption of Afghani government isn’t hosed down to a tolerable stink. If moderate Taliban supporters don’t have a “Taliban awakening” akin to the Sunni awakening, the true source of the Iraqi Surge success, if Taliban and al-Qaeda bases aren’t closed and cratered by the Pakistanis, then President Obama, you will pull all US troops out of Afghanistan in time for the 2012 presidential elections

ASSESSMENT
The final lines above give glimpse to the future after July 2011. At the time of this assessment (23 June 2011), there are hopeful signs of negotiations between the warring Pashtun factions: the Karzai Regime US forces prop up talking with elements of the Taliban insurgency leadership. I do foresee a political solution coming in the wake of troop withdrawals that will precipitate more troops leaving Afghanistan than announced yesterday by President Obama in his current time table: 10,000 by autumn 2011 followed by another 22,000 by Summer 2012. My oracle commented on this possibility while enlarging its vision when I signed off on the following prophecies for 2011 on 21 December 2010:

21 December 2010:
Obama will make 2011 the year of “terrible twos” for his liberal and antiwar base. He’ll try to win Republican favor by extending the Bush tax cuts another two years. He will announce that the deadline to begin combat troop withdrawal in Afghanistan set for July 2011 will be pushed back two years. A date for ending the war pushed two years after that to 2014.

(Let me state for the premonitory record: this isn’t what will really happen. These pledges of intent by the president are “just words”. He will begin the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan in July 2011. Moreover, Iraq will be emptied of all but around 15,000 military advisors by the end of 2011.)

…What will happen in Afghanistan in 2011?

I’ve predicted for a while now that tribal solutions between Taliban and Hamid Karzai-leaning Pashtuns is the only potentially positive solution. Obama will bust a Nixon-in-Vietnam move. He’ll cut losses declaring “Peace with Honor”. The Pashtuns will then bring back what was once called the “national covenant” that had ended with the deposing of the Afghan king by Soviet forces invading Afghanistan in 1979. The covenant will return by 2012 as a frail political creature, a loose association of tribal leaders ruling like warlords and mafia bosses in a patchwork kingdom with a weak federal center, granting strong autonomy to tribal warlords.

I will close this review of prophetic successes with a review of my interpretation of a Nostradamus prophecy about the advent of a “Black King” who I believed is America’s first African American President destined to take troops into Pakistan and kill a top candidate for Nostradamus’ third Antichrist, Osama bin Laden. The segment is from Nostradamus and the Antichrist Code Named: Mabus (see the e-book, click on Nostradamus). This passage is one of the earliest oracular assessments I recorded about a game-changing event in the Afghanistan conflict, the killing of Usama bin Laden on the ground in Pakistan by US Special Forces. I wrote this in the summer of 2008 publishing it at the end of September 2008. Note the passage in red:

A right interpretation depends on divining who is the subject of these vague third person personal and possessive pronouns. Play with it in French and the anagram Alus sanguinaire (Bloody Alus) becomes L’USA sanguinere (the bloody USA). Le noir (the black) may be an anagram for le roi n(oir): “the black king.” Earlier interpretations had a black robed Shia cleric of Iran or Iraq who makes the angry one, such as Saddam Hussein, repent; however, if this applies literally to an African American future president, then it might describe Barack Obama’s Iraq policy in future action.

The Greek Meso (between) potamia (two rivers) is Iraq geographically defined as the land between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. This round of interpretation presumes President Bush the angry one made to repent his invasion of Iraq by Obama who pulls out combat troops in the first 16 months of his presidency. Another candidate for angry one is Usama bin Laden who will repent ordering al-Qaeda to infiltrate Iraq during the Bush administration. The Black president (king) will increase US forces in Afghanistan, killing or capturing Usama in a military incursion into Pakistan

History quickens again, especially in natural disasters. In the year of the 12 great catastrophes — one at least per month — it is hard to decide which historic event will win this dubious sweepstakes in June. Will it be the Arizona Wallow Fire, the state’s greatest fire in recorded history? Should we consider the “fire in the skies” of prolonged record-breaking heat waves across much of the southern and eastern portions of America? The 12,000 people of Minot, North Dakota, who must evacuate their flooding city? Shall we give the reward to the great volcanic eruption two weeks ago of Puyehue, the Chilean volcano, now sending an ash cloud a second time around the Southern Hemisphere disrupting flights in and out of Australia and New Zealand and covering wide areas of Chile and Argentina in ash?

Nostradamus.

Friends,
Tempers in the Middle East, the intensity of world weather and prices, all rise. A number of you and a number of those who have recently had me as guests on blog talk and radio interviews have voiced wonder mixed equally with alarm at my oracle’s accurate assessments of world and ecological events recorded in Predictions for 2010 and Predictions for 2011 thus far.

With this in mind, I wanted to inform you that tonight, across North America (26 February 2011) the History Channel documentary Nostradamus 2012 will be rebroadcast. My interview took place in the inner sanctum of the vast Masonic Lodge in downtown San Antonio, Texas, on a hot and humid summer day in 2008. If you are able to watch the documentary, I wish concentrate on a segment in the first hour because it is the most important warning to make wrong by right actions born in the present.

I was grateful that unlike what recently happened to me in the Brad Melzer’s Decoded fiasco, the editors of 1080 Productions, subcontracted to produce Nostradamus 2012, appreciated what I had to say. They did not digitally delete me in the editing room (though they did choose to leave out what I had to say about the connection of Nostradamus to Mayan Prophecies and the Mayan Calendar purportedly ending time as we have known it on 21 December 2012). Be that as it may, what 1080 did not cut was, in my opinion, far more important than 2012, because it is something you are now directly feeling when you go to the market to buy your basic sustenance. It is impacting you long before the year 2012 arrives.

You all will continue to be feeling and dealing with this crisis long after that year and all the Chicken Littleism surrounding it is forgotten as we all plunge forward into history’s maelstrom of runaway events poised to unravel civilization in the 2020s — if we do not understand how to stop it.

A few more matters to discuss before we cover the main topic of this article today.

A day of rage demonstrations in Palestinian territories occupied by Israel did not make much of a stir in the news. It would seem the Arab Revolution has given Israel a respite from a direct confrontation. The shift in focus from Arabs taking down their kings and dictators to protesting what they see as the injustice of a hypocritically undemocratic occupation of Arab Palestinian lands by the only true democracy in the region, will skip this week, this month even. We will find the revolution’s focus erupting on Israel’s doorstep in the month of March.

There is a great opportunity in these dangerous times in the Middle East to see a significant withdrawal of American forces as I predicted in my forecasts for 2010 and 2011. I still hold to a prediction I made as far back as early 2009 on Coast to Coast AM, there will be a rapid withdrawal of US forces home from Iraq and Afghanistan much sooner than 2014. As I said years ago, whoever would be the next president after G.W. Bush, he or she would have to scale down US imperial reach around the world because predictably like all great superpowers, America has overextended itself can ill afford further sustaining its military reach. Economics, not Usama bin Laden, will see a US retreat and as I detailed in my forecast for 2011, this “insolationism” coming to the US has potentially positive consequences for its people.

This weekend, the day of greatest rage was in the streets of Iraq. Revolution can happen there as well, for the government experiment established by the grace of US occupation is at best dysfunctional and better serving corruption than the Iraqi people. I expect I will have to review Nostradamus’ clear allusions to Iraq in his prophecies, refreshing my interpretation as events come clearer as the times of their arrival into the present appear.

All civil wars have their lulls. This weekend, the Libyans draw a breath before the next wave of violence. Gaddafi entrenches in Tripoli, massacring dissenters in its streets, arming the pro-Gaddafi mob militias.

I am most concerned that Gaddafi will not shrink at using his vast stores of chemical and biological weapons if there be attacks on Tripoli. In addition, he has shot bomber pilots who declined to fly bombing runs on Benghazi and oil installations in rebel held eastern Libya. He replaced these with Algerian mercenary pilots who may not care what WMD they drop from their bomb bays. A NATO-US organized “no-fly” zone must be established if we possibly can prevent another Halabja massacre in Libya — the thousands killed in a Kurdish town gassed from the air by Nostradamus Antichrist candidate Saddam Hussein in 1988.

I expect that March will see my oracle’s prophecies for 2011 vindicated on the wild weather front as blizzards are replaced by tornadoes when a sudden and violent shift from winter to spring takes place in the eastern and central parts of the Untied States. The catchword for 2011 is a redoubling of everything you saw hurled at you from Mother Nature in the violent year of 2010. Christchurch, New Zealand is but a taste of the earthquakes I expect will come in the spring and summer months.

Washington DC politicians have, as predicted, played nicey-nicey with platitudinous, patronizing placations on the news about toning down their politically polarizing, violent rhetoric. It will not last. Watch it come apart in March when the budget debate begins. The legislative demonstrations you see in February move from Cairo Egypt to Madison Wisconsin and the capitol buildings of Ohio, New Jersey, etc., will come marching into the nation’s capitol building in March. Now I would like to at last share with you a reply I made back in October 2010 to a letter sent from a young Indian citizen named Suraj who saw a broadcast of Nostradamus 2012 in India.

Hello sir. I am just a 14-year-old kid from India looking for answers and I’m eager for answers. I saw the documentary of yours about the prophecies of Nostradamus and am willing to study deeply about it. I am not a very bright child but I take a of interest in this subject. I have a very few questions sir and would be pleased if you answered them. My first question is … What do you think is my part in not letting these dark prophecies coming true?

HOGUE
Thank you for writing me and joining my newsletter list. When I look at what our part is in these prophecies, it is the darkness played out by us that is not our own. Our societies, religions, parents, priests, politicians and pedagogues (teachers) condition this darkness into us. One must forgive them for they do not know what they are doing. They too were programmed to automatically impart identifications and borrowed knowledge and they often did this with their sincere intent to love us, as far as they knew or thought they knew what love is. Nevertheless, all of us eventually are coated with other people’s ego habits and ego identities over that which can never be predictable. “That” which is eternal, that, which visits the realm of time (past-and-future) but lives in the eternity of the present moment, waking-sleeping, or living-dying.

The dark prophecies of Nostradamus are warnings, are pitfalls set before us that I believe the prophet wished us to be alert in avoiding, in finding new pathways to better futures. The only way I know how to do my part not to serve the dark destinies of these prophecies is to live and awaken each moment the light of my inner awareness. To do this, I must see into why I am living a habitual, unconscious, robotic identity.

You are fourteen. This is a crossroads moment. At fourteen new energies awaken and one can gain a knack of keeping the thread (the sutra) of soul untouched as you soon enter a more intense process of ego “education”.

Education is necessary. We need to learn how to live and relate in this world. The problem is, our educators are not wise. For the most part, they have only borrowed the wisdom of others. It is not their direct experience. Even authentic knowledge, if borrowed, is less valuable than your direct and existential experiences. So, the teachers being unaware of real wisdom teach us to identify with this “body-mind” vehicle we use in life.

In short, they teach us to think we are the car, not the “driver” of this car traveling the path of our destiny. So, learn all you can about how to drive the body and the mind through your life but remember that you are not this car and all of its labels of identity. You are far more than this. Your name, your mind, your body and senses, your language, and social training, etc., are only utilitarian. They are tools. But remember, you are not “the hammer” but the hand of soul that wields it.

You are wrong, Suraj, about not being very bright. I see wisdom in you. It is in your fundamental questions in this email. Keep that wisdom flame burning. Do not let education and the programming of identities suppress it.

My other question is who is the Third Anti-Christ that Nostradamus talked about?

It is a complicated detective story. My full answer is 77,000 words long and these words comprise an e-Book called Nostradamus and the Antichrist. Click on Mabus.

There are four major candidates at this time: Barack Obama, G.W. Bush, Usama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. The last and dead candidate has actually fulfilled more of the Third Antichrist prophecies than any other person to date. But more than this, I end the book with an essay about what I call the Antichrist Unconscious. To me in my experience, this is the Anti-Christ (Anti-Conscious) force driving all of us to be mechanical and predictable in our lives.

For the most part we can do little about any else’s ego personifications of anti-conscious behavior, but we can do something about the “Antichrist Unconscious” in ourselves. We can understand, transcend, and dispel this shadow by doing meditations that can re-light our forgotten inner witnessing awareness.

And my last question… Is the world actually going to end in 2012? Because Nostradamus also predicted that there would be a World War 3 for 27 years but there is no world war going on right now, so how can the world end in 2012 if the war has not started yet?

HOGUE
Nostradamus never predicted anything for the year 2012. It is one of the biggest lies put out there by irresponsible so-called 2012 scholars. In the documentaries you see me currently in, my video spots are surrounded by these silly people who think their imaginations can trump this fact. In each show, I have countered their theories but my words are selectively cut out of these documentaries because it does not sell the show.

Nostradamus forecast the end of the world in the year 3797 A.D. We have almost 1,800 years of history yet to see ourselves through.

The Lost Book of Nostradamus that these 2012ers promote as their proof of his predicting the end of the world in 2012 is a forgery from the 17th century. Nostradamus never wrote it. Moreover, the colored images in the book are so vague that you could project anything that is in your mind as prophecy.

Nostradamus’ “2012″ was the year 1999 and it was meant to be the year when the great engine of the centuries would move again towards a new era. This process is gradual. That does not mean we are not heading for great upheavals after 1999 but the process could take another 50 to 100 years before it is through. In a few years we will all forget 2012 as just another year in a greater process of revolutionary change.

I am currently finishing an e-Book on 2012 and what Nostradamus actually wrote about our times. It also points to the inaccuracies of the Mayan Calendar which actually might place their change point in their 5,000 year cycle back between the winter solstices of 1998 and 1999, not the oncoming winter solstice of 2012.

Astrologically speaking, Uranus (the ruler of revolution and chaos) is advancing into its final and intensifying degrees of Pisces before it enters the sign of Aries (new beginnings, short tempers, riot first, ask questions later). Saturn (ruler of government status quo) went into retrograde this week on 26 January. That means sustaining the status quo can be compromised. Saturn is now retreating between now and mid June through Libra the ruler of stability and balance. You can expect a time of riot and revolution spreading not only across North Africa and the Middle East but also on the floor of Congress as I described in detail in forecasts for 2011.

You can ask what caused Tunisians last week, Egyptians this week and perhaps Jordanians and Syrians next week to pour onto the Arab streets in open revolution. You will find them initially complain about crushingly high food prices, unemployment or under employment which they blame on regimes that cannot sustain these basic needs and higher aspirations of freedom and economic dreams.

You see a region with one of the highest birthrates. You see nations with exploding populations of youth like Egypt where 80 percent of the population of 80 million people are under 30 years old, wanting to have more freedom and share more of the wealth than their stagnant, corrupt, dictatorial, money hoarding regimes can tolerate.

What is happening in Egypt and across the Muslim Arab world are the first clanging alarm bells of a civilization that is unsustainable. The year 2011 marks the beginning of a decade of revolution and turmoil caused by structural flaws in our current collective mindsets and systems of governance, politics, economy, ecological practices, and ultimately humanity’s retarded spiritual understanding of itself and its existence on this stressed planet.

What we are seeing in its first riotous travail is a growing global crisis of trying to uphold a past-oriented, past-habituated civilization as we hurl now into the future that demands humanity redefine its civilization or see it collapse in the oncoming 2020s.

We have a traditional “fossilized” economic system in place in the world. It runs on a myth that it can sustain endless growth of exploding population markets and promise endless consumption possibilities for a new wave of worldwide middle class consumer boomers who will soon number 1 billion spread across Asia, South America. It also includes the tens of thousands of Arabs you see in the streets of Egypt today who have awakened to — or aspire to — catch the middle class prosperity wave.

I have said for decades that these expectations cannot be sustained by the current social-political and economic systems. I have been saying for 20 years that each new year entered into the 21^st century will press upon us from all sides the urgent need for individuals and the collective humanity to redefine what it is to be human. That will require we abandon the fossilized past habits and traditions to keep human civilization progressing.

The world’s people have been programmed to desire and expect they too can have an American style, resource devouring, fossil fuel based polluting, high calorie agriculture gobbling golden age.

Worldwatch did a study on what world population could sustain such a dream: only 2.5 billion people.

In 2011 a new alarm bell of the unsustainable clangs: the global population climbs beyond 7 Billion people!

Worldwatch also concluded that you could sustain a population of 8 billion if you were ready to see a vast majority of those young men and women like those demonstrating in the streets of Egypt accept a future lived at the poverty level “enjoyed” by impoverished Indian laborers.

The birthrate in the Middle East and North Africa is still among the highest on the planet. Egypt has 80 million people crowded into the fanning Nile River Delta and the Nile’s narrow green sliver of arable, livable land along its banks. That thin and fragile oasis by the waterside, surrounded by inhospitable Egyptian deserts endures the burden of between 800-to-900,000 new mouths to feed, new children with aspirations to fulfill, EACH YEAR.

You can replace the nearly 30-year long dictatorship of President Mubarak of Egypt with a military junta. You might replace the junta with a more moderate Egyptian democracy or an Islamic State of Egypt, but these alternatives are still past-oriented, dogmatic, and ultimately NOT going to sustain the food and financial dreams of exploding populations.

We are only coming to the end of “Month One” in what if foresaw in Predictions for 2011 would be a most turbulent and volatile year sounding the alarm bells of the unsustainable.

I foresaw food export disruption as a first alarm bell ringing. It must be remembered that many great revolutions of the past were tipped forward into violent progress for better or worse by the lack of the basics for life, such as food prices rising one sou too high. Food riots premiered the French Revolution for instance in 1789. Over the coming decades, it spread its modern ideas and citizen violence across the European Continent in a century of revolutions in 1830, 1848-49, in Italy in the 1860s, and in 1871 with the Paris Commune. The latter gave birth to bloody socialist revolutions of the 20th century, such as the Russian Revolution and the Nazi Revolution in Germany and the Red Communist Chinese Revolution.

Perhaps Russia in 2010 unintentionally triggered a new era of 21st-century revolutions. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin stopped grain exports when accelerating climate change visited a crushing drought and 500 major fires across Russia, desiccating and burning one fifth of the grain produced by the world’s third largest exporter.

Take out Russian grain exports from a world of 7 billion marginally fed people, take Russian grain exports out of Tunisia, Algeria, Jordan and Egypt and you that can be the catalyst for last week’s Tunisian Revolution and this week’s revolution in Egypt.

Egypt is the oldest, most politically influential and the most populous Arab nation. Where Egypt goes, so goes the region, into the streets.

Sunday’s blog will prophetically assess further developments as well as assess other alarms that began ringing in our climate in Month One of the year 2011.

Now, back to the blog reviewing the doomsday/2012/Hopi prophecy themed episode of Brad Meltzer’s Decoded and the incredible disappearing “Hogue” who taped an extensive interview for it that mysteriously disappeared:

Many of you listening to my 13 January Coast to Coast AM interview with George Noory heard me promote an upcoming appearance on the new History Channel series Brad Meltzer’s Decoded. Often I get typecast by television as the “go to guy” on all things Nostradamus. I was excited about supporting this show because we started with then moved beyond Nostradamus to cover other prophetic traditions you often read here and in my 17 books-and-counting but don’t often see me address on television.

I had the pleasure of meeting and doing an interview with Meltzer’s three investigative reporters Scott Rolle, Christine McKinley and Buddy Levy about the Hopi Prophecy of the Blue Kachina Star and how it might or might not portend what is called in Hopi eschatological prophecy the Great Purification. The blue star, whatever it actually is, literally or metaphorically falls out of the sky marking our entry into the era of oncoming death and rebirth by fire for the world as we know it. The investigators wanted to know if that time is now.

I was flown down to tape the interview in the largest Observatory atop a roof in the UCLA campus on Halloween’s Eve, 30 October 2010. Scott, Christine and Buddy engaged me in a fun and informative rapid-fire interrogation while we stand in the shadow of one of UCLA’s big blue “Bruin” telescopes.

Exactly a month later, when the film was edited and finished, I received the potential airdate and reiterated my pledge to the producers to promote the show on radio appearances and Coast to Coast AM in January. Along with my segment the hour-long show would attempt to “decode” 2012 as a doomsday date either backed up or not by Hopi prophecy, Nostradamus, the Bible and Web Bot cyberspace computer search sibyls, etc.

The show would revolve around best selling SyFy and comic book author Brad Meltzer wrapped in a digital background playing an overseeing narrator framing the search. His investigators would issue forth, spicing things up, rooting out visions of the end times in current events, such as the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the rising frequency of earthquakes. The episode would then close with a planned interview with futurologist Bruce Buena de Mesquita who uses computer algorithms to separate funky “earth-is-finished” forecasts from fact.

This would be the second time I’ve appeared on a documentary with de Mesquita, a political scientist and professor at New York University. We first showed up together on History Channel’s The Next Nostradamus, which I regard as one of the best two-hour prophecy documentaries in a decade because it balances objective science with subjective scientific exploration of prophecy.

I got the word out about Decoded on my two-hour Coast interview about Predictions for 2011 on 13 January. It was heard across North America on over 550 radio stations and around the world on Internet. About a half-hour after George Noory and I signed off at 2 AM (Pacific time), I turned on the TV to decompress. There before my wired and tired eyes was a rerun of the second half of the Decoded episode I just plugged!

The producers must have moved the airdate forward from 20 January to the 13th. I could believe if I liked that it was done to get maximum ratings coverage because I was on Coast that night. However, the most likely reason is that shows about the future get better ratings the closer they land near early January catching the public’s elevated New Year Holiday interest in forecasting.

I watched the second half. To my surprise, Bruce Buena de Mesquita wasn’t in the show’s climax as anticipated. Some female acquaintance in academia stood in to speak for his work.

I don’t know if the good professor snubbed the show or not. I wouldn’t be surprised. It doesn’t help his academic credentials being called by Hollyweird “The Next Nostradamus.” Anyway, his attractive, raven-haired stand-in on Decoded was much kinder on the eye than a rumpled Professor Mesquita or a scruffy and furry owl-eyed Hogue on our best hair days. She tried to fill the void of his absence but a secondhand presentation of what she thought Mesquita was all about wasn’t fresh from the source and a bit of a buzz kill for me.

The following week I sat down to watch a rerun and catch the first half hour I missed, which would include my Blue Kachina prophecy segment.

Thirty minutes on air goes faster than a scene “clapper” through a goose and as the show progressed, I started to feel a bit uneasy with the mood setting scenes and action set-ups eating and wasting time.

I guess it’s all a question of television priorities. I mean, action can be necessary, so you sacrifice time for content. Take for instance my segment inside the UCLA observatory on Nostradamus’ asteroid prophecies. It gave chilling details pinpointing what part of the earth in the future will be stuck by a “mountain, a half mile in circumference” falling out of the sky.

Is that something exciting? Apparently not exciting enough.

Insert therefore that action-packed scene with Meltzer investigators Scott, Christine and Buddy unsteadily perched like city slickers sore in the saddle on sauntering mules, clip-clopping down some nondescript gravel path meandering through a mesquite wasteland in Arizona.

I’m sitting before the TV watching this slow plod in the desert calculating how much will be cut out of our UCLA segment about Nostradamus’ mountain-meteor-from-the-sky prophecy sending an initial ocean splash higher than 10,000 feet. Valuable time was lost filming the three of them looking bored riding on mules. Was this scene really necessary when there was far better footage to come later on of their intense and engaged faces, grilling me about whether Nostradamus’ meteor would be the same falling blue star of the Hopi causing a purification of the world by fire?

Clearly time would have to be cut out of that future segment so that three mounted investigators dirt kicking their way through Arizona’s great and monotonous outdoor nowhere could banter on about Hopi mule breeding practices.

I mean, do you find it more fascinating to know which ocean nearest you suffers a meteor strike sending a 10,000 foot splash; or, are you more interested in how desert Asses and mules “get down” to make those sleepy stumblebum-poky hybrids on the hoof?

Our mounted reporters Ferde Grofé their way onward at a slow pace (without that iconic “heehaw-heehaw-heehaw, heehaw-hehe” music from that American composer’s Grand Canyon Suite). They rendezvous with a corpulent Hopi tour guide in a broad cowboy hat at what seems to be the edge of the Hopi Indian Reservation because the pueblos on the famous mesas are nowhere in sight.

The fellow doesn’t seem to me to be one of the elders of the Hopi Nation, either. He won’t be leading their mules to the sacred spot where petroglyphs of the Hopi Prophecies were carved many centuries ago on Prophecy Rock. A face-to-face encounter with the rock’s big picture for human destiny was not on the travel itinerary. The Hopi tour guide “did” at least haul into camera frame a large “picture” of the Sacred Prophecy Rock.

Standing before the blow-up color photograph the size of a chalkboard turned on its side, the tour guide launched into a rather incoherent, mumbling explanation of the prophecy’s petroglyphs. He seemed to be a kind and beautiful man but his rambling discourse was a little out of the league of accounts I’ve heard from Hopi medicine men such as Thomas Banyacya describing the same symbols on camera actually “at” Prophecy Rock. You can see a YouTube video of Thomas Banyacya accurately describing what the symbols mean in a segment I shared for NBC’s Ancient Prophecies in 1995: click on Hopi Prophecy Rock.

So now. I’m watching the show. I’m seeing the first 30 minutes shrinking precipitously, thinking that “mood-mule” piece ate up a lot of time and whatever was left would cut my upcoming segment at the UCLA observatory leaner than minced mule meat.

Are we there at UCLA yet?

No.

Time for more a gripping “grabbing”, action-packed earthquake simulation sequence at Loyola University in Los Angeles.

Watch our Decoders set the mood, perched on the edge of the Loyola bluff, surveying the urban sprawl of Marina Del Rey and West “Lost” Angeles. They muse on what the Hopi tour guide told them about Hopi lands becoming beachfront property in the Great Purification to come. Gosh! They free-associate a special effect beyond the show’s budget with words only. They muse on about how all of that swank LA real estate stretching away from Loyola would be first superquake squashed then rubble washed away by a mountainous tsunami…etc., etc…

“All right,” I’m thinking to myself. “There’s less than ten minutes left in the first half hour. Stop teasing and teasing out this setup, guys. Cut now to the dwindling shreds of content time left to tie in our UCLA observatory scene. If the episode jumps over there now there’s still enough time to show the audience divergent interpretations of Hopi prophecy that enlarge and even contradict your Hopi cowboy tour guide. The purification by fire could be a fire of consciousness awakening and not the earth quaked, flooded and burnt to a cinder by a meteor or blue-tailed comet strike…”

The seconds ticked by. I lean into the TV like a soccer fan waiting for the goal kick.

Once again, we don’t cut to my interview.

Instead, we see Scott, Christine and Buddy meet some drawling University of Loyola, Aussie seismologist with a motor home that takes the East LA gangbanger jumping bean Cadillac shock-absorber effect to a whole other level.

This professor “Steve Irwin” with the outback accent crams our mule-breedin’ Decoders into a cut-away motor home interior that looks like a dining room with furniture.

Professor “Steevo” pulls a lever and CRIKEY! Look at those little blighters go, mate! Like goannas trapped in a sack!

Scott, Christine and Buddy start bouncing off the furniture and walls in a simulated magnitude 7.4 earthquake! What-a-byooteey!

Buddy, the big guy with the linebacker’s physique grabs elvish Christine to steady himself.

Buddy blurts out something like: “Why am I grabbing a hundred pound woman when I ought to grab the bolted furniture?”

Sorry Buddy. I wish I could give your exact quote, because it was very funny.

At the time of this writing, it’s just short of two weeks after the episode first aired and History Channel still hasn’t posted overviews or video clips of the show.

A new show broadcasts every Thursday. I’m looking one last time at the episode page on History Channel’s website before I post this on the morning of 26 January. It shows the DB Cooper episode for 1/6/11, and then skips over 1/13/11 when my Hopi/2012 show first aired. After which we see The President’s Inner Circle episode slotted for 1/20/11.

What am I to conclude about my episode missing?

Anyway, there I was watching the boob tube with a frowning eye on the Comcast cable box’s digital clock advancing one minute before the half-hour mark. There appears bespectacled Brad Meltzer, impressively cue-ball bald and geeky svelte, wrapped in his background of digital chalk boards and floating symbols. Is he going to direct us at last –”now” — to a few sound and picture bytes of my interview?

Nope…

A deadpan and snooty dissing of linebacker Buddy’s temblor bear-clutching tweak of sleek Christine to steady his balance, squeezes the last seconds out of the first half hour down to empty.

“Trick or Treat!” I thought.

Serves me right taping a show back on Halloween’s Eve, then promoting it internationally.

At least the last time I did a show on 30 October was on ABC’s The View and it was live. All I had to suffer then was Joy Behar’s blurted and misfiring attempts at take-down jokes and a nose-to-nose encounter with the once fetchingly voluminous face of Star Jones eclipsing my entire point of view as she spouted her Christian fundamentalist views while painting all pagans with a broad brushstroke of her righteous contempt. (Click on Last Pope and see what got Jones so upset.)

“Somehow” in the month following my interview being taped, when my Decoded episode was edited and, as they say in Hollywood, “in the can” signed off and finished, the producers either chose or conveniently forgot to tell me I was not in the show I was about to internationally promote.

I’ve been lucky. After doing over 100 documentaries on four continents spanning 24 years of more television work than any prophecy expert in history, this is the first time producers subcontracted to make a show for a network either “forgot” or didn’t “intend” me to know I was bumped.

It’s probably not Brad Meltzer’s fault and certainly not Scott Rolle, Christine McKinley or Buddy Levy’s fault. They’re just doing their job, taking and following directions to the best of their ability. It’s someone else’s job to save or cut the footage in post production.

In a way, I can thank the editorial decision makers.

They did me a service, cutting me out of a mediocre episode.

They also gave me an excellent opportunity.

I can recount in a future blog what they threw away on the cutting room floor. As is my usual preparation for a film shoot, I made notes for what I planned to say. Even if I did survive the cut, even at the best of times, the television genre rarely has or takes the time to go deep into a subject.

So, beyond the limits of what was un-”Decoded” will come an article series about Nostradamus’ Mountain-from-the-Sky prophecy and whether it correlates with the Hopi Blue Kachina Prophecy of the falling star.

Poisonous Brown Snake swimming for high ground or high houses in the great Australian “Wet” of January 2011.

A vast cloud river in the heavens swelled and seemed to break out of the confines of its usual monsoonal flood paths through the tropical burning blue skies across the northern edges of Australia as 2011 dawned. A 500-year drought in Australia’s outback at once transformed by sustained tropical downpours morphed into a 100-year “big wet” turning the sunburned Australian interior into a red and muddy sea. A wall of water literally arose like a tsunami fanning out through wide and once desiccated floodplains, carrying off farms, ranches and towns.

Brisbane in Queensland, along the Coral Sea, Australia’s third largest metropolis, was in the path of the car and house choked deluge. Brisbane, a town I had visited 17 published books ago in the late 1980s when on an Australian national book tour for my first best selling tome on Nostradamus. Landing at the international airport surrounded by subtropical bird sanctuaries, the surroundings had much of the same flora, fauna, mangroves and tropical smells of Mumbai, India, though free of the pollution, the crowds and general and squalid filth of South Asia. Coming to Queensland was a nice break from spending much of the 1980s off and on in India, living in an overcrowded, developing subtropical nation straining its lovely ecosystem.

Many houses in the suburbs of Brisbane were built on stilts. I was told by the cabbie taking me to my four-star hotel downtown, that stilted houses kept all the poisonous snakes from climbing in. Whether this was half true or half Aussie larrikin blarney, I am thinking the stilts performed two services, snake and flood infestation. As it turned out, the floods of early 2011 swelled through the low-lying western and eastern suburbs into thousands of homes. The irony is, the stilts may have prevented the deadly water and brown snakes from climbing in on drier days but caused greater “anguis” when rising waters made human habitations herpetological havens for waterlogged and hissing little “asps”.

My hotel, as I recall, was situated downtown on Elizabeth Street. I had enjoyed walking north to one of the three tight bends of the Brisbane River snaking through central Brisbane. From what I could see from aerial shots during the flood, my boulevard looked like it was under water. It made me wonder what happened to the descendants of that shark I enjoyed swimming in his hexagonal tank in the middle of the shoe and sports store wherein I finally found a digger’s bush had that could fit my huge head. (They apparently have big heads in Queensland.)

Probably the shark’s filles and fils are fine as aerial photos of the flood indicate Elizabeth Street 23-years after my visit was more high-rise dotted, high and dry. The water on the boulevard must have been a sheet of floodwater caused by heavy and relentless rain rather than upwelling beyond the floods of riverfront property letting slip marina’s full of pleasure boats downriver.

The weather satellites mapping the monsoon over northern Australia in the first half of January 2011 showed a huge tongue of cloud plunge down through the Queenslander and New South Welsh quadrants of the Great Australian Outback all the way south into the temperate states of Victoria and South Australia. While Brisbane and other Queensland towns began to dig upwards of 30,000 homes and properties out of rancid mud and find the bodies of a dozen victims still missing — whilst burying into soggy earth another 20 who had confirmed drowned — Victoria endured its worst floods since 1933.

Walls of water, kilometers wide, rolled across the northeast corner of the state inundating 62 towns. The State of South Australia was also pummeled with some of the reservoirs filled to bursting in the hills outside of the city of Adelaide, yet they held.

The impact of a monsoonal raid of rains reached far into the temperate south all the way to the island state of Tasmania. For all of you readers hailing from the Northern Hemisphere, that would be like a surge of monsoon storms out of Central America reaching all the way to Seattle, Washington, across into British Columbia.

It is estimated that damage caused to homes and infrastructure in the Australian flood disaster, especially across Queensland and Victoria, could cost as much as $30 billion.

This tropical and subtropical assault of sky rivers is not just an isolated Australian incident. While in the aftermath of the Brisbane floods, 200 police, many in boats, patrolled the inundated streets of for looters, over in Brazil, 700 people were buried alive in landslides from a juggernaut of torrential rains drenching the hill towns around Rio de Janeiro, leaving 14,000 homeless. Farther south in temperate climes of Brazil, near Santo Andres, a suburb of sprawling Sao Paulo, people clutched and hung onto their car hoods as life preservers for helicopters to pluck from the torrent. The Tamanduatei River running through Sao Paolo broke out of its banks.

Cross the Southern Atlantic from South America to South Africa and neighboring Mozambique and you would hear and see rains washing away thousands of homes and roads. South Africa’s Co-operative Governance Ministry reported 40 people drowned or missing in the flooding with seven out of the country’s nine provinces declared disaster areas.

State-run Radio Mozambique reported on Monday (17 January 2011) that 13 000 people had seen displaced from their homes by torrential rains and heavy wind damage with at lest 10 killed.

The cleanup in Australia has begun, but the people there look at more threatening skies darkened by storms. As I write this blog on 19 January 2011, the Australian Broadcast Company (ABC) reports are coming in from Brisbane of severe thunderstorms battering flood-stricken southeastern Queensland for two nights in a row, knocking power out for over 30,000 households stretching from Lockyer and Brisbane Valleys to Ipswich, the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Microbursts of wind clocking as high as 62 mph were recorded near Ipswich.

The tropical and subtropical rainy season is still young.

UPI.com reports, Queensland Premier Anna Bligh saying her state will remain on alert for more extreme weather in coming months.

“We took the unprecedented step of actually inviting the weather bureau to come and formally present to the Cabinet,” Bligh said.

Brett, one of my dedicated readers wrote back on Monday, “John, it looks like your 2011 Prophecies will all be fulfilled in the first two weeks of 2011!”

Brett is speaking about what I wrote in Predictions for 2011, in a chapter entitled “Alarm Bells Sound the Unsustainable”. Some of you might have read it already or heard me recently elaborate on Coast to Coast AM on 13 January about a dire set of weather predictions for the new year.

On Coast to Coast I recall saying, “I am usually not an alarmist.”

George Noory the host replied, “You call it as it is, John.”

I added, that though I often talk about scary things happening when dire prophecy and dire current events meet, I try to find a measured and balanced way of matching scary developments in the future with their rational solutions possible and empowered in the present. I try as much as I can to give you on Coast, or in books or in these blogs, a balanced view, a choice implied as to how you can do your individually small and collectively large parts in directing destiny down a more positive, life affirming future path by changing your actions in the present.

However, on Coast to Coast I was clearly sounding an alarm.

I am genuinely alarmed at what I see coming in 2011, weather-wise.

I spoke about my first documented prophecies from 2009 presaging Mother Nature sending us a message in 2010 with a global temperature rise was a part of a temperature tsunami making 2010 the hottest year on record.

It happened.

Then on Coast to Coast AM on 13 January and in Predictions for 2011 written and documented on 21 December 2010, I warned that the human race has not heard the message of natural disasters and rising temperatures of 2010. Indeed, less people believe there is global warming now than in 2009.

Nature will respond.

She will raise the violence of climate change, quakes and storms by 50 percent in 2011.

What Brett is talking about is the sudden and extreme amplification of just that intensification happening already since the new year began, just a short three weeks ago.

These floods described above and a spate of seven magnitude and higher quakes across of the world and the sudden and dramatic eruption of Mt. Etna in Sicily are only the beginning of what will be remembered as the year of the great flooding storms.

The storms befall the planet just as Neptune prepares to enter its home sign of Pisces in April 2011 where it will stay for decades. Because 2011 astrologically marks initial passage through Neptune (the Sea God’s) first and most intense degrees of its transit, I predict the Southern Hemisphere’s 2011 Monsoon Season like the northern hemispheric season to come, will be the most flood-prone and violent ever recorded in modern times.

We are not listening. The volume, therefore, roaring in flood waters, the shrieking of storm winds and the thundering tidal surges of cyclonic tropical storms will be turned up louder.

Mother Nature will try to unplug our ears with low-pressured tropical tempests and tornadoes of unprecedented fury. She will throw them spinning like a scythe deep into the temperate zones of north and south where such weather is rarely seen.

Will we listen to her message? Will we begin the Herculean tasks of weaning our civilization off global warming CO2 emissions in a generation’s time?
