The dumbopublicans wannbe candidates for president debated on Wednesday. Today the donkeycrat president will try to give us another lack luster speech of regurgitated Barack Obama-bromides to soften the indigestion of his jobs plan just before the kickoff of the NFL season. However, what is going to drive the news media into a myopic obsession for the latter half of this week onto Sunday 11 September 2011 is that Sunday stands as the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

As a medium of prophetic news, I too will have something big planned for posting on your computers, iPods, iPads, and cell phones Sunday morning about September 11th as it may have factored largely in the prophecies of the 16th-century French prophet, Nostradamus. Well, you Pythoners know the rest.

All seriousness and 9-11-one too many early overdoses of media comment and documentaries aside I would like to present Nostradamus going nebulous in a whole new way.

I return today to the “animals-falling-out-of-the-sky” auguries with prophecies about the clouds wherein they emerged.

When you lie down on the grass, gaze upon clouds and tell friends beside you what shapes are described in the billowing mists, you are attempting to practice the divinatory art of Nephelomancy. The next step in a study of the clouds and their various formations requires using the shapes for foretelling future events.

Some of you have written me about weird cloud formations out of Russia back in October 2009 looking like flying saucer UFOs. Another nebulous phantasm of mist and ice crystals punched a hoary beard-wisp opening through a ceiling of wholly pack formations over Oaxaca, Mexico, in early February 2010, just before a 5.9 temblor rocked that coastal region.

Coincidence? Well, no quake hit Moscow under its nebulous fairy ring in the sky.

I must say, that I have gazed in wonder at clouds all my life. I find that for the most part people around me are nearly always looking dully ahead eyes veiled in their own monkey mind chatter while glowering downwards before the path trodden. People trapped in their minds do not gaze aloft very much. They miss how often the sky paints itself in many wild shaped clouds. Once in awhile the sleepwalking sheeple catch a particularly unusual formation in their digital camera and you find these thus portrayed as some important “sign.”

Real nephelomantic signs are very rare. There is one famous heavenly event foreseen by Nostradamus in Century 3 Quatrain 11, fifty-five years before it happened.

Les armes battre au ciel longue saison,
L’arbre au milieu de la cité tombé:
Verbine, rongne, glaiue, en face tyson,
Lors le monarque d’Hadrie succombé.

The weapons fight in the sky for a long time.
The tree has fallen in the middle of the city:
The sacred branch is cut by a blade in front of Tison,
Then king Henry falls.

After the nine catastrophic French Wars of Religion had burned themselves out, Henry IV dedicated himself to guide France through sixteen years of healing and rebuilding. However, in 1610, while his coach was stuck in congestion in the rue De la Ferronerie in Paris, a red-haired wild man named Ravaillac jumped up on the wheel and stabbed him three times with a dagger.

According to Guynaud, a story that appeared in Mercure Français in 1619 described a phenomenon witnessed by several hundred people sometime before the assassination of Henry IV of a spectral army of 10 to 12,000 ghosts marching through the skies over Angoumois until sunset.

On page 154 of Jerry Dennis’ book on weather phenomena entitled It’s Raining Frogs and Fishes, he describes a rare atmospheric effect known as a Fata Morgana, named for King Arthur’s sorceress half-sister, Morgana le Fay, who is said to have conjured images of castles reflected in the clouds. Temperature layering of the air will cause far-off images to appear “grotesquely magnified, elongated, and much taller than they are.” A layer of cold air pressed between layers of hot air works like a magnifying glass to create a spectacular mirage. It is possible that the citizens of Angoumois did see actual columns of troops marching miles away, their reflections magnified in layers of atmosphere to make them appear like spectral armies.

It is with this omen of Henry’s death — or a mere atmospheric phenomenon — that Nostradamus begins his prophecy: The weapons fight in the sky for a long time. Henry, the great powerhouse of a monarch, is poetically described as a fallen tree.

He is the sacred branch of the Bourbon royal house, cut off from life by a fanatic’s knife. On face value, Nostradamus the royalist calls him sacred because a king was believed to rule through divine right. A secret jibe from the anti-Huguenot prophet could also be hiding in the word verbine, which can also be a cryptogram for vermine. Rather than a sacred branch Nostradamus is saying that a vermin — in other words, a “rat” — is cut by Ravaillac’s blade. Henri who was the last heir left standing for the throne of France won the civil wars by converting to Catholicism. “Paris is well worth a Mass,” he infamously said. Did Nostradamus fore-smell a rat switching faiths and sides for power?

The rue Tison is not far from where Henry fell. Bardo Kidogo comes up with an intriguing word play on Tison, which can mean a firebrand, or a revolutionary or internal conflict; and its Greek and Arabic roots can t render it as typhoon. The Hermetic mysteries tell us that Tiphon (Tison?) is the dragon representing ignorance, perversion, and unconsciousness. He is the devourer of souls.

Henry IV of France.

In prophecies concerning the French Revolution, Nostradamus uses the metaphor of a whirlwind to describe mindless rebellion. If Kidogo gives us the right read for Tison then Nostradamus correctly foresaw an oncoming string of rebellions after Henry’s assassination starting with those fought between followers of the Prince de Condé in 1614 and 1616 with Queen Regent Marie de Medici — a distant relative of Nostradamus’ chief royal disciple, Catherine de’ Medici. Condé sought and received Huguenot support in second rebellion 1616.

After Condé there followed a series of Huguenot rebellions across France, starting in 1621, requiring bloody suppression, yet these are minor, compared to a whirlwind of rebellion and war that initially missed France but visited an apocalyptic religious hecatomb between Catholics and Protestants, killing half the population of central Europe — The Thirty Years War (1618-1648). There were no clouds of spectral armies presaging that tragic conflict unless the atmospheric phenomenon seen in the skies over Angoumois presaged it too.

If you read my nearly 2,000 comments from readers logged mostly in the last year alone, you will find a theme of collective concern on record. As the disaster-ridden month of June draws down and prescience draws its breath before gazing into the augur’s bowl of water to divine through hydromancy, what trembling images will project upon the surface for July? I wish to address this concern.

Something doesn’t feel right, at all, for July… I do not know what will be brewing in that particular month, but it really terrifies me. I am having trouble sleeping again, in just thinking on it. On some days I almost feel like I am in a race with a giant event of some kind, looming over the horizon, or stark panic, hidden just beyond those self-encouraging thoughts. But mere thoughts cannot hold back what seems intent on manifesting…

HOGUE
Many readers report this collective feeling. I think these feelings are unique for our times because humanity itself is undergoing a global existential crisis. Our civilization is under threat from perpetuating our own fossilized traditions and stupid habits. The point of collapse for human and ecological sustainability is on the horizon. It is coming no later than the 2020s, but I think it is coming sooner. Already I have identified the year 2011 as one where alarms of unsustainable behavior begin ringing in food, weather and population sustainability. Humanity must now grow up. The world cannot long endure our immaturity and is beginning to heat us, rain us, wind us, flood us and ultimately shake us off her back if we don’t change our collectively unconscious ways.

In the last blog I opened a channel to my readers to leave comments defining what they think is Disaster Number Six for what I have begun to call the Year of 12 Disasters — one major catastrophe each month.

The Year of 12 Disasters: Keeping Score for June

Up to the approaching mid-point of 2011, we had cleanly clocked one major natural or politically regional changing disaster per month. With May it started to become more difficult to choose only one a month. June is crowded with candidates. But before we tackle June which is, as the song goes, “busting out all over”, let us review the months before it burst:

January: Australian monsoonal flood inundating most of Queensland.

February: The disaster for dictators, the Arab Spring Revolutions. Then comes the Libyan Civil War.

March: Japanese superquake and tsunami.

April: Killer tornado outbreaks in the US South.

May: Historic river floods on the Mississippi then the Missouri Rivers. Hundreds killed by an EF5 tornado flattening Joplin, Missouri.

June: What a spinning Carosel! It is hard to pick one to ride. There are so many. We had an eruption of one of the worst fire seasons in the US Southwest and Southeast in June that includes the Wallow Fire becoming the greatest in Arizona’s recorded history. My pick for June’s disaster number one is a fire and smoke maker of another kind, the Chilean volcanic eruption sending an ash cloud twice around the Southern Hemisphere, disrupting air flights in and out of Australia and New Zealand for weeks. A disaster that affects worldwide climate takes my vote.

Certainly, June had other alarms to ring awake humanity to a world that will no longer tolerate it. We have the lingering nuclear disaster brewing in Fukushima Japan. A huge, wind whipped fire threatens the nuclear laboratory at Los Alamos, New Mexico, where a lot of nuclear materials are stacked in drums in the open air. Floods along the Missouri threaten the Fort Calhoun nuclear reactor near Wichita, Nebraska. This same reactor had its water coolant pumps shut down for 90 minutes on 7 June, (click on Anthony Wiener). A no fly zone was initiated by the government with the lame excuse that it protected people from flying high over the flood waters, despite the fact that Fort Calhoun’s nuclear installation was cited as the problem, not the whole Missouri flood plain.

Sunday, 26 June 2011, one of the inflatable dikes around the plant collapsed letting in flood waters. The government spokesmen said there was no problem. The next day (27 June 2011), they admit the reactor’s water coolant system is once again on backup generators but bristle at the comparison of Fort Calhoun to Fukushima.

Anyway, on 25 June, just two days before the dike deflated, Gary wrote in my comments page that the Missouri flood was June’s number one disaster adding a little Ice Age prediction as a chaser:

John my pick is the extreme flooding of the [Missouri] River. This is largely being caused by the melting of the record setting snow pack. I don’t believe it is global warming. The needed sun blocking and but the beginning of a new ice age.

[HOGUE: and but????! Well that sentence made no sense, Gary. I will have to fix it in my full reply, now the rest of your comment:]

The extreme volcanism is supposed to be the part that brings the needed sun blocking and moisture from unferwater [underwater?] volcanoes.

HOGUE
Belief has nothing to do with facts, Gary. I will go into why climate change denial is a symptom of another sign of the end of a civilization as we have known it when I get to Kercelia’s comment below. What I will explain here is that record-braking snowfall is EXACTLY evidence of global warming. A generally heating up world atmosphere retains more moisture. Moisture is the gas that drives more violent energy in weather. Scientists have often forecast, based on extrapolating their evidence, that the first stages of a warming climate change would visit record breaking snowfall in winter with record breaking fires and floods in the spring and summer. So, it looks like we are well on our way to a warming climate change cascade.

Now, to volcanic eruptions blocking the Sun’s rays causing warming to cease (I guess that is what you were trying to write.) They have to be big. Really big, like the eruption on a magnitude seen in prehistoric times at the end of the Cretaceous Era, such as the Deccan Traps. These were a series of volcanic eruptions near present day Mumbai, India, spanning a period of 30,000 years creating a 123,000-cubic mile pool of lava the size of half the Indian Subcontinent.

Other than that, eruptions at best can only press upon us ash cloud induced ice ages only a few months or a few years in duration. Even a super volcanic eruption like that expected someday in the Yellowstone region might cause a Nuclear Winter style ice age, with dust and ash clouds blocking out the sun for 6 months to a few years. Catastrophic as that would be, it would not cause a return of a lingering 100,000-year long Ice Age. Indeed, once the heaviest elements of ash filter out of the skies the sulfuric compounds and other green house gases left behind as aerosols will stay far longer aloft trapping the suns rays inside the atmosphere even more efficiently than before, causing a spike in global warming.

The Mount Pinatubo’s eruption in 1991 is a prime example of this. Because of the volcanic plume, we had a general cooling of the climate for several years during the 1990s. However, as I accurately predicted back then, once the sun’s rays were no longer blocked by a thin ceiling of ash cloud, the lighter, invisible compounds floating in the high atmosphere did generate a climate changing, global warming spike in 1998 and word temperatures have been spiking on ever since.

Here was that prediction published in 1994:

Although the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo (June 1991) has cooled off the world temperatures for the mid-90s the heat is on with a vengeance by 1998. With this interpretation in mind we can expect a wave of global droughts by July 1998. From that time onward global warming steadily kicks in disrupting weather patterns and the movement of climate conditions needed to grow grain.

Kercelia contributed another angle of collective foreboding about something wicked this way soon coming only this time she sources it to a collective socially degenerative source:

I think that people are so out of tune with what is really happening due to a constant need to be entertained. Everything these days seems to be in competition as to what is the most outrageous. With the advent of round-the-clock entertainment via the TV and other media, people just don’t care what’s happening as long as they are being entertained.

HOGUE
This rush to be entertained is a symptom of civilizations on the brink of collapse. They idle away the last momentum they have left in distractions and entertainment. Look at Rome and its insatiable lust for blood letting of criminals, Christian cultists and animals in the Coliseum.

The 18th-century Ancien Regime of France (the French kings and aristocratic class) sought distractions rather than sorted out looming problems. The movie Dangerous Liaisons presents that quite accurately. Even Louis XV predicted that his successor would see the Deluge that he neither could prevent nor cared to prevent, degenerating, as was his moribund culture of blue blooded entitlement. Thus he dead-handed over the crown to his stodgy, unimaginative grandson, Louis XVI, who along with his queen and many a French aristocrat went to the guillotine during the French Revolution.

A predilection to disconnect from realities and pressing challenges is a symptom of the end of cultures cycling down to full entropy. Denial of realities, white washing them with a darling, politically correct euphemism climate change is just another Maria Antoinette moment.

When Louis XVI’s Austrian born and publicly unpopular queen was told of famine and bread riots spreading across France with the inherent danger to the monarchy’s stability overlooked, she shrugged her powdered bejeweled shoulders and said, “Let them eat cake!”

(Whether Marie A. actually said this is disputed by historians; however, the perception that she did say this was popularly “entertained” by the poor people grumbling in bread lines about the queen and court’s documented excesses, wantonly pursued to abandon while the people starved. Civilizations approaching their nadir choose to be entertained by myths rather than encounter and remedy hard facts.)

Our global civilization in a state of entropy has its “let them eat cake” term for global warming. The “cake” is “climate change”.

The euphemism puts us at ease with some sweet but factually white washing frosting spread to decorate and make palatable what is soon to cascade in increasing mean temperature rises around the world because of the unbridled increase of human manufactured pollution.

Now we turn to a comment left by Becky. She is watching the mounting seismic activity in the Pacific Rim (AKA the Ring of Fire). She is tying that to potential food sustainability problems that for me echo the bread lines of 18th-century Paris and a doomed-in-denial queen who eventually had to eat her “let them eat cake” words a few years later with a blood chaser foaming out of her own severed head falling in a basket. (Eeeeoooo! Let’em eat “nape”.)

There seems to be a build up for another massive quake in the northern part of the ring of fire. There was a 6.7 in Japan a few days ago followed by a 7.2 in the Aleutian chain. The ring [of fire] is having a doozey of a conversation. How are our food stores going to hold up?

HOGUE
I would say the time has come to store food and water for many reasons, not only breakdowns that might happen because of earthquakes.

Perhaps this is a good time to review and add to some of my predictions concerning violent earth and climate changes logged shortly after the great quake and tsunami in Japan last March.

My oracle gave me the message that the Philippines would be among the next hit. An eruption did take place on the island of Luzon but nothing yet to match the scale my oracle intended; however, it was correct about a powerful aftershock hitting Christchurch. Here is the quote:

My oracle predicts the danger would be moving south of Honshu Island into the equatorial or southern hemispheric areas. Be prepared in Kyushu Island (Japan), Okinawa (Japan), the Philippines, Indonesia, all the way south to Christchurch for more strong aftershocks in New Zealand after that devastating quake several weeks ago. Christchurch suffered a 5.5 and a powerful 6.0 temblor on 13 June knocking out power to 50,000 homes. As for the Philippines, I might have misread the message and would like for the record to amend my prediction. The quake off the Honshu coast of Japan may have pressed added pressure to the collision point between the Philippine and Japanese tectonic plates where they meet just south of the mouth of Tokyo Harbor. The recent 6.7 aftershock is just another pressurizing nudge. Most tectonic scientists are far more concerned that a second quake may unhinge the mouth of Tokyo Bay, sending a catastrophic quake and tsunami rolling into the world’s most populous city. Such quakes have been responsible in the past for shaking Mt Fuji wide black-ash-cloud-eyed awake. This could happen in July but is more likely to happen later in September or November. I will explain below.

Mt. Puyehue eruption.

The essence of the oracle’s seismic prophecies written after the 11 March Japanese temblor and tsunami have been so far correct being as they were more volcanic in nature. We had Grimsvotn volcano in Iceland disrupt air traffic, albeit briefly across Europe with ash clouds for a few days in the latter half of May 2011. June had the Chilean Puyehue volcano, 500 miles south of Santiago, blasting to life three weeks ago. It has already disrupted air traffic in lower South America, South Africa and especially across Australia and New Zealand for a few weeks. July is coming and we do not know what it could do next. The Chilean eruption is definitely the ash cloud of consequence. We will have to see what that does to the southern Hemisphere’s weather. It could bring a temporary cooling of the climate if the eruption goes on through July and August, but as I said earlier, that will just set the stage for another climate warming spike a year down time’s road. What is significant to remember is the last time Puyehue erupted was 1960; the same year Chile suffered the most powerful earthquake ever measured by modern instruments at magnitude 9.5. There is a connection between this volcano and major quakes and we might hope the 8.8 temblor back in 2010 was the tectonic tit for tat, but I do not think so.

No quakes hit the Pacific Northwest from the latter half of April into early May. I had been warned by a reader who is head of a coven of forecasters to leave the area. She no longer likes me but was compassionate enough to send her forecast, prophetically inaccurate as they often are (see earthquake predictions). To be fair she is not the only one who got a prediction wrong. Mine for a possible seismic event in California around the full moon in Taurus in May 2011 did not transpire. Still California is way past overdue for a large-scale quake from San Francisco directly bestride the San Andreas Fault Line constricting earth and rock all the way south and inland from Los Angeles and San Diego. Even Monday, the Wall Street Journal posted a story about growing concern over the southern segment of the San Andreas Fault near Lost Angeles and San Diego cutting loose. The San Andreas under what is called the Palmdale Bulge swells without pressure release for 300 years and counting. The WS Journal’s article focused on the economic impact on a fragile world economy if Los Angeles should rock and roll with a quake of 7.8 magnitude.

I am not getting any Southern Cal quake for July yet, or August for LA, but I am concerned for Southern California, the Pacific Northwest, Japan’s Tokyo Bay-Mt. Fuji region for late September and again in November.

I will let Manuel lead us into that prediction.

John, your very accurate on your deciphering of Nostradamus and your own intuitive prophesies, good job. Last night I listened to a man named Carl Johan Calleman a guest on Coast to Coast AM you might have heard this interview also if not he had some very interesting topic on the Mayan long count calendar. He claimed the end of the calendar is actually Oct. 28 2011 other then Dec. 2011 it will coincide with the arrival of the comet Elenin and another comet that follows it. He say’s he’s studied the calendar for more then 15 yrs. During this time period there will be many upheavals to the planet as well as our global civilization. Elenin could possibly be the brown dwarf [star]?

HOGUE
First, let us deal with the idiotic. I am adding this bit in italics a few hours after posting this blog so that what I have to say is loud and presciently clear: Doomsday — whether it is projected for the world or if it is doomsday imagined for people’s collective unconsciousness, suddenly, magically going “poof” in a collective shift of consciousness — are both just two sides of the same coin of New Age idiocy. There are two kinds of Chicken Littles who misinterpret the signs either for doomsday or bloomsday. The sky doesn’t have to fall. Chicken little can think something fell out of the sky and knocked some enlightenment into him too. Here then is my prediction about Calleman: He will soon be remembered (or soon forgotten) as one in a long line of history’s Chicken Littles, who got struck by an imaginative idea, unsubstantiated by reality and then went peeping off all fuss and feathered about dates of doomsday light or dark, Mayan or otherwise that came and went without fanfare. The people of the distant future will tell you that there is no special date in a calendar that makes human enlightenment happen. If not now, then, there is no other time to harmonically converge, so put your plastic wands away and come back to the ground upon which you stand inside the body-mind in which you watch the mind and its flights of chicken flapping, feathers frapping, imagination — 2012 twenty-shelved. Come here with your intelligence, with your energy, with your love. Come HERE. Be here. Do it every “now.”

Anyway, Calleman aside, we just enjoyed such a goofsday last month anticipated for years by street billboards of a squatting man seeming to be scared-sh*tless, filling his britches, because the Rapture was set for 21 May 2011, click on end of the world.

Now to something far more plausible. Elenin is a comet, not a brown dwarf or cold star. Yet, as it approaches our solar system and as the orbiting earth lined up with it and the Sun a significant earthquake took place either that very same day or within a few days. The first alignment coincided with a magnitude 8.8 quake hit the Chilean coast sending a Pacific wide tsunami on 27 February 2010. Next came a 7.2 temblor shaking up Christchurch, New Zealand on 4 September 2010. The third alignment of Sun-Earth-Elenin happened, as Melvin correctly pointed out in his comment, on 15 March, four days after 11 March 2011 when Japan’s 9.0 quake crushed and later drowned over 25,000 people and knocked out four nuclear reactors along the northeast Honshu coastline with a vast flooding tsunami that also sent waves reverberating across surface of the Pacific Ocean.

Discovery of this alignment-quake connection came from the last people in the world — astronomers — who want to feed any interest in Astrology’s belief that heavenly bodies, even as small as comets, somehow influence the fates of people and the world, but there it was, reported by none other than the JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) Small Body Database Browser. Three exact and major seismic disasters hit exactly on three days of alignment.

What do they have to say for that?

JPL’s astrology debunkers give the established, dogmatic sci-spiel, that small cometary bodies crossing Earth’s path millions of miles away cannot have any gravitational influence on the Earth, blah blah…

It is a feint of Scientism to sidestep something rather than face it. The astrologer in me retorts that the Elenin lineup might be the first clear evidence of another force other than gravity that heavenly bodies impress upon personal and collective destinies of humanity. A true scientist would not spout canon law like a pope’s grand inquisitor but would instead be true to the path of knowing — which is what scire, the Latin root for Science — demands. Three earthquake hits out of three may be more than chance working its irrational magic, though I would not rule that out. Still, the honest scientific answer beyond shrugging it off as a coincidence might be to say there is some force out there they have yet to discover.

What dodge will those who promote Scientism Inquisitions say if Elenin scores four or five temblors to five lineups?

The JPL Small Body Database Browser tells us of two more alignments of Elenin with the Sun and Earth coming on 26 September and 23 November 2011.

Coincident or an oncoming incident, would five hits be something worth preparing for?

I usually do not tell people to anticipate events on a specific date, unless terrorist — domestic and foreign — are planning acts of violence based on playing a numbers game. For instance, once should always be a little more alert for white supremacist domestic terrorism — such as the Columbine, Colorado, school shooting — every 20th of April because it is Hitler’s birthday. Al-Qaeda likes to hit targets on number puns for emergency codes, like 9/11, or play with 7s and 11s. Some lone jihadist might try something 7/4/11 this year, so be watchful.

This Elenin phenomenon is different. It is just a happening, like the orbit of planets that astrologers like myself in these pages, have shown have a direct correlation to the timing of natural disasters. See earthquakes.

I will tell my readers today that earthquake preparedness and tsunami preparedness is a prudent thing to entertain for the next line-ups of Elenin scheduled for 26 September and 23 November. The fact that lineup number four happens close to the Spring/Autumnal equinoxes of the Southern and Northern Hemispheres adds cosmic significance. The 26th is bracketed by the Equinox on the 23rd and a New Moon on the 27th. I would suggest being prepared four days before and beyond the 26th.

As I have often stated, major earthquakes take place on or closely associated in time with New and Full Moons. Many of history’s deadliest earthquakes happen when Uranus is undergoing a significant 90-degree square aspect. It so happens that Uranus in Aries (fire sign = volcanoes) will still be in its long-term square of Pluto in Capricorn (earth sign = earthquakes) on 26 September. Moreover, Uranus will be in retrograde motion whilst Pluto the week before will have come out of retrograde moving direct — another signature in the cosmos that causes quakes on Earth. Mars, by the way, will be trined with Uranus. That is usually a positive aspect, but the term positive can also cover a positive movement of tectonic plates that the planet sometimes needs to thrust about for its own positive evolution, despite what it might do to the little human fleas on its dancing backside.

Given the regularity of Comet Elenin’s lineups so far, look to the days around 26 September as the most dangerous time this year for natural, economic or political disasters.

At HogueProphecy.com, I try to give you the core causes that mainstream news either do not type into their TV prompters out of ignorance or corporate censorship, or they set data down on their scripts unmindful of the right emphasis. I try to catch the right sources of the “current” in current events so that I can show how the flow of reactions from our actions “currents” down possible future rivers of history.

The headwaters, if you will, for this current flow of history throughout North Africa and the Middle East has its source in the most fundamental need of life, after potable water — which in itself is a dwindling commodity in these overpopulated regions that climate change will return to desert a few decades hence. When David Brinkley, one of the last of the great US nightly news anchor’s, a contemporary of Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite, had retired in 1997, one would see him appear randomly on television passionately promoting an idea that seemed to cause more acerbity than garner respect by news colleagues. Brinkley had become a spokesman for the agribusiness giant, Archer-Daniels-Midland, who had earlier been fined $100 million fine for price-fixing of food and feed additives. What was lost in the controversy but not lost by me was Brinkley’s message: “Since television began, I have brought you the news — wars, elections, victories, defeats. The news, straight and true. I will still speak straight and true. I’ll never change that, but now I will bring you information about food, the environment, agriculture, issues of importance to the American people and the world.”

I thought David Brinkley, ever having a keen nose for future news, was not having an elderly moment in his final days or had sold out to big business, but was far ahead of his times in these ad spots, warning the world about its number one security danger: Food.

Yes, food. A lack of it could be the headwaters source for a whole plethora of social, economic and political deluge in our near future. Brinkley may not have been interested in prophecy but prophecy backs his forecast concerns. I can tell you as a prophecy expert for 30 years collecting thousands of documented predictions both ancient and modern from all corners of the planet, from all known eras of recorded civilization.

I have publishing many of them in books like 1000 for 2000 Startling Predictions for a New Millennium and in The Millennium Book of Prophecy. The best seers share a message. A collapse of food sustainability is the catalyst for many foretold catastrophes set to suddenly spring as fast as an Egyptian Revolution overnight, some oncoming night in our near future. Famine is the most immediate and least anticipated threat to human civilization. It is triggered by another shared collective threat foreseen by prophets throughout history: climate disruption.

I cannot emphasize this enough, the historic fires and drought across European Russia taking Russian grain exports off the market in 2010 makes climate change a source of future social and economic upheaval. Begin magnifying Russian fires with Australia’s 500-year drought in 2010 transforming into a 100-year flood in early 2011 disrupting their grain exports. You then add to that an inundation of Pakistan’s grain belts by a relentless monsoon flood in the summer of 2010 displacing 25 million people, leaving vast tracts of the South Asian wheat belt of the Pakistani half of the Punjab “STILL” under water at the time of this writing. You add the multiplication of perversely intensifying natural force to all of these climactic extreme events and do you now hear an alarm ringing?

Do you not hear the first “clang” of an alarm in the future sustainability of the supersystem of food production and export?

The climate’s disruption of the agri-business across important grain producing regions HAS greatly increased the price of food.

The Food and Agriculture Organization said prices reached a record high at the end of 2010, above the peaks of the 2007-2008 food crisis also caused — I would add by an uptick in climate change I presaged in 2006 on this web site. As January ends, calls from North Africa and the Middle East for soft red winter wheat is the most actively traded contract, so reports FAO, reaching as high as $8.61¼ a bushel at the Chicago Board of Trade, eclipsing an intraday high set last August when the Russian drought cut Russian grain exports. At that time wheat futures ended up 18¼ cents, or 2.1 percent, to $8.56½. US wheat futures surged to a fresh 29-month high last Wednesday as growing concern over food prices drove Algeria to order another large grain purchase on the world market.

A critical perspective must not be lost as people surge forward into the streets of the Middle East demanding the toppling of dictatorships. In your shared excitement of anticipating a wave of democracy spreading across the Arab world, do not forget that climate change saddled with rising demand from a human race pushing beyond the 7 billion mouths-to-feed mark in 2011 is pushing grain prices to record levels. Changing from totalitarian regimes to democratic regimes does not change this apocalyptic fact!

Food price protest sent people of Tunisia into the streets to overthrow their dictator, Ben Ali, earlier in January. Food prices will send them into the streets again against the democratic reformers.

It was not tweets but where to find cheap “eats” that started this spontaneous wave of revolution pouring in floods of people by the millions into the streets of Egypt. Yes, there are other grievances in the laundry list of revolution but as I said in my last blog (click on Egyptian demonstrations) revolutions may soon adopt famous and iconic slogans, such as the French Revolution’s liberté, égalité, fraternité! However, in the earliest days of revolt it was a call of faim a need to mange that energized a mob to storm the Bastille and start the French Revolution.

Hunger for Food is first. Unemployment, economic uncertainty, a close second. Third is political reform driving people to face death on the barricades. Steps one and two are often overlooked or under reported.

When I see Russia, the third largest grain exporter ban exports because of climate change droughts and fires burning a fifth of their grain, when I see other markets arrest or greatly diminish their exports so that livestock in their countries can keep eating, just look to where they formerly exported for oncoming trouble. Look into Africa. Look into North Africa and the Middle East, all chief importers of Russian grain. Follow the dwindling bread trail into overpopulated, economically-marginal developing nations and you will see the paroxysm of hunger and food sticker shock fuel the paroxysm of revolution in 2011.

US global wheat exports have doubled since the Russian export ban last summer. The intensifying weather of climate change that caused the Russian ban has so far profited US wheat exporters because violent weather is stifling competitors, like Canada and Australia, the latter seeing much of its grain crop under water from floods.

Algeria’s government in January is trying to buy their way out of a revolution like Egypt’s by purchasing — this time from the US — in one huge order what will be a third of their expected annual wheat purchase: 800,000 metric tons! The Algerian order pushed wheat futures in Europe to their highest level since March 2008.

North African and Middle East nations threatened with upheaval have also dramatically stepped up their grain orders since the Tunisian revolution. Yet, it is not just Middle Eastern governments like those of Yemen and Jordan piling up debt by absorbing and lowering the price hike, to stem the escalation of demonstrations on their streets. Even Far Eastern nations like Taiwan are bracing for a rush on grain exports hiking prices to levels potentially setting their own populations out on the streets in protest. Taiwan plans to lower its wheat tariffs by 50 percent to stop the tide. Even now, there are demonstrations on the streets of Vladivostok on the Pacific Coast of Russia against price hikes on food.

Once a revolution is on, foodstuffs can quickly deplete. Political limbo reigns. Economies grind to a halt. Transport halts. Replenishing basic necessities, food being one of the most essential and socially volatile if cut off, can fuel violence and cause revolutions to descend into mass terror and destruction.

Foodstuffs in Egypt are running out because of the lawlessness and chaos. At the time of the writing, the revolution will be a week old. How many more days before the food issue that started this rebellion becomes a survival issue that takes it to a new level of chaos and violence?

If you are not in or one of my Egyptian readers, step back and ponder this.

Every one of you reading this, wherever you live on this earth, will be directly impacted by Egypt descending into chaos this week and later Jordan, Syria and Yemen in the weeks to come. Egypt’s Suez Canal is the source of 7.5 percent of the world ocean trade amounting to 6 Billion in revenue — much of this is oil coming out of the Persian Gulf to EU and US markets.

The oil crisis I foresaw as a potential and unexpected source of the second global economic crisis did not begin in October 2010. However, what I also said in Predictions for 2010 is the window of economic danger stretches from October 2010 into June 2011.

Sometimes we do the right thing and delay dire futures. Sometimes dire futures can be postponed forever by our right and intelligent actions as individuals, as nations, as members working together as a family of humans in a human global civilization.

From food to fuel hikes we go, into the oncoming and most dangerous months of potential economic turmoil that can lead to significant, riotous social unrest in the first half of 2011.

Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) was more than a military, political and logistical genius with an estimated I.Q. of 143. When on hiatus from the first turbulent years of the French Revolution, the then newly minted artillery officer relaxed on his native island of Corsica writing a heroic romance novel of surprisingly good quality.

Napoleon’s interest in classical history and the antiquities of Egypt during his military expedition there in 1799 not only brought to European civilization’s attention the Rosetta Stone, which delivered the means to translate Egyptian hieroglyphs, but his team of scientists also uncovered and translated into French an Egyptian papyrus best known and published today as the Egyptian Book of Fate. It is said Napoleon carried and consulted it privately before important campaigns and battles to add a little occult spice to his strategic decisions. It is known that his mistress, then wife, then Empress, Josephine, delved into tarot cards and other divination techniques. It is believed she read the prophecies of Nostradamus; however, there is no indication in the writings of or about Napoleon that he was aware the 16th-century prophet had pinned him as the first of three Antichrists under the code name PAUNAYLORON (a code for Napaulon Roy = Napoleon King. Hubris saddled to an insatiable desire to keep conquering others blinded him to any oracular Egyptian warnings, if they could be had in the Book of Fate, or the warnings of Josephine’s tarot readings, not to plunge deep into Russia in 1812. Napoleon did so and destroyed an army of a half-million men. The following year he rebuilt an army of another half-million (teenagers mostly) and destroyed that in lost campaigns across the German states in 1813. He abdicated his throne as Emperor of the French in 1814 and was exiled to Elba after fighting and losing a campaign against a formidable coalition of Austrian, English, Prussian and Russian armies. He would escape Elba in 1815, return to France, fight and dramatically lose one last battle at Waterloo with the British and Prussians, after which Napoleon Bonaparte, was exiled for good to the South Atlantic island of St. Helena

In the last six years of life left, he had a lot of time to reflect on the past and predict how his actions would cast a giant shadow on the rest of the 19th century. Hidden within his memoirs and apologies to history are a number of accurate forecasts. He said the “19th” would be “a century of revolutions” foreseeing the fall of monarchies. France did mark two monarchies fall to street revolutions in 1830 (Charles X) and 1848 (Louis-Philippe). Revolutions would rage across Europe in 1848-49. There would be Garibaldi’s red-shirted revolution that eventually led to the fall of many principalities and monarchies with the unification of Italy. Greece fought more than one revolution to free themselves of the Turks and with the fall of Bonaparte’s cousin, Emperor Napoleon III, a bloody socialist revolution known as the Paris Commune consumed itself and much of Paris in 1871.

Napoleon Bonaparte on St. Helena predicted the crowded patchwork of little German states would soon resume and achieve their unification. This they did in 1870-71 when the Second Reich was established. (The First Reich being the Holy Roman Empire and the Third Reich being that of Adolf Hitler).

Napoleon foresaw the French people freed of the Bourbon yoke. That happened in 1830 with the fall of Charles X.

Nostradamus’ First Antichrist describes the worldwide spread of the French Revolution with a phrase one might expect from the prophet himself: “from this tripod [its] light will burst upon the world.” It is known that Nostradamus practiced his theurgic-spirit conjuring rites while sitting of a brass tripod like a Delphic oracle.

The Battle of Borodino was the bloodiest single-day clash of arms of the 19th century. It is estimated that in 12 hours of exceedingly violent combat up to 70,000 men were killed or wounded in a three-square mile area (and I may have been foolish enough in a past life to be caught in the cross-fire). Famous last words: "Beau feu!" (Good shot!)

Nostradamus savaged Napoleon in many remarkably accurate prophecies, but overlooked his more positive legacies. In the last prophecy above, Napoleon played his part in self-fulfillment. Though he was a dictator, he had spread the core values of the French Revolution across the continent and though at last defeated, these tenets endured forcing the victorious monarchies to adapt and reform their governments to embrace more human equality and freedom. Even the popes ruling with a Catholic fundamentalist hand tried to rescind Napoleon’s code of laws that prevented discrimination against all minorities, especially the Jews. They succeeded to force Jews back into ghettos only until the unification of Italy, inspired by the French revolution at last erased the Papal States.

Sorry Nostradamus, sometimes it takes an Antichrist to teach a Pope how to be a good Christian.

PS–My next blog will mark the 9th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack by fashioning an essay based on Jihad Messiah, the seventh chapter of Nostradamus and the Antichrist: Code Named: MABUS.

Anger must be expressed and released so that this poison is purged from the soul and clear headed solutions and clear heartfelt compassion can resist, reform and revolute this nation. So, with that said, forgive my presentation of this very angry letter from “Chris.” I will answer it in detail to explain why anger needs expression, but not as the engine of this revolution to come. Otherwise, with violent anger as the engine of the masses, the future will be awash in blood. This kind of revolution will lead ultimately to a dictatorship in America. This land has another destiny in the Aquarian Age: to be the cradle of a new and worldwide religiousness of a new and enlightened humanity.

Before demon-anger can transmute to divine understanding, let us examine a frustrated and volatile point of view many Americans share with Chris:

Joe Stack will do neither. Perhaps it is true that we take with us beyond this veil of life what we identify with. As most of our identifications are unconscious, they lead us like a magnet to a new birth into this misery-go-round Wheel of Samsara (wheel of unconscious life). In other words, if you live a slave of your anger, it will launch you into a new and miserable life framed by that anger. That is my sense of what happens as one who has faced death three times and possibly has had a glimpse of the other side.

I have come back from those experiences motivated to understand and thus transcend my attachments. Otherwise, I will return to my own soap opera, life after life. I know the fires of profound anger. Joe Stack was so completely identified with this anger that he committed an insane act of violence and now dwells between lives in the hell of his own making.

He is in limbo in the lower astral right now with only his anger and insanity as comfort. And remorse his only friend. Remorse for what he did to the gift of life given by existence and the gift of freely ending life that he perverted. In the future, a more evolved humanity chooses when to leave life. Only when life is beautiful and fully lived can a human being come to the pinnacle of life, which is death, and chose that path. That freedom will be an inalienable right in the society of the new humanity coming. However in that free and responsible future, no one has the right to maim or take anyone else’s life when you check out.

If Joe Stack had had enough, fine. Yet, Joe Stack burned innocent people and killed at least one person. I sense that he feels remorse for that now, and remorse for the wife and daughter he traumatized and left behind homeless by his own hand, burning down their house.

Joe is 100% correct. For all of my adult working life (40yrs) our self-serving scumbag politicians have benifitted more from the fruits of my labor than I did. Violence and revolt ARE the only answers.

The government is an expression of us. We are responsible for the government and politicians we elect. Even if you do not vote, you are allowing others to usurp their power by vote over you. The government is symptomatic of the collective health of a democratic society. The American Democracy at this time is adrift and ailing. Making the IRS or any other government body your boogey man is throwing the responsibility away from the source of the problem.

You are all the problem, American people. You have the government you deserve right now. Change your consciousness and you will vote wiser governance in the future.

The Bolsheviks, Castro and his guerillas, Robespierre with his guillotine, agree with you, Chris. Violence and revolt are the only answers. Look what they gave us? An orgy of mass mob violence, the Great Red terror of Lenin and Stalin that killed 30 million people, the Great Terror of the guillotine that beheaded tens of thousands in revolutionary France. In the end, most of those executed were the revolutionaries who let slip the whirlwind, Joe Stack style. Violence as an end-all only consumes all that is good in the revolution as well as what it intended to overthrow.

Once this mayhem-mass mind has exhausted itself, do you think people like you, Chris, will be running the new America? Violent revolution will devour you as well as it did Robespierre, Trotsky and Kirov, even the ailing Lenin — who Stalin poisoned. The Stalins, the Castros, the Napoleons and the Hitlers step into the bloody void your mindless anger creates.

In Alexander Soljenitsin‘s Gulag Archipelago, he described a club of revolutionaries who wrote just like Joe Stack and you, Chris. They were believers in anarchic violence as the alpha and omega of answers to their grievances. They were thought to be even more radical than the Bolshevik Party and a greater threat to the Kerensky controlled Duma (Parliament) that took over Russia from the Czar in February 1917. When the Bolsheviks took down the Kerensky government in their October Revolution of 1917, guess who were the first people lined up against a wall and shot? That club of revolutionaries. That is what will happen to the future “Joe Stacks” if mad rage guides the next American Revolution.

And another thing, this country is literally crumbling around us. The federal gov’t should be creating jobs to rebuild our bridges, roads, tunnels, dams and sewer systems. Its a crock of bullshit that there are not enough jobs to go around.

I would not disagree with any of what you said here. These are the problems and our elected officials are not listening to us.

Yes. Obama is. I am aware many of you reading this don’t like to hear that. I warned my readers as far back as March 2007 almost a year before the presidential primaries for the 2008 Presidential Elections began about electing demagogues who promise you every change under the sun. I was the first person in the world to coin the phrase Obama Nation in that article (see Obama predictions). He has come to his destiny too soon and too enamored with and manipulated by the American power brokers lobbyists and aristocracy of CEOs and corporate moguls. There are great and tragic shocks coming to him that might get him back on track to his greater destiny. Right now, he is off track. That can change if your protest is intelligent rather than mindlessly violent.

When does it end? When is enough going to be enough? does it really have to come down to all us killing each other just to survive? This is supposed to be the greatest country in the world, to me its turning into just another third world country too fucking poor to take care of its own. We import more SHIT from everywhere else because its too FUCKING exspensive to make here. Who are they kidding? I dont think there’s enough people in this country to stand up collectively and say fuck you we have had it.

There aren’t enough yet, but this smoldering mood you honestly and accurately express will spread. The masses of Russia felt powerless and angry, the masses of France did the same. When the critical mass of this suppressed volcano of mass anger reaches a boiling point in a country of 300 million possessing more than 300 million firearms, the revolution unleashed will be far worse than anything seen before on this earth. It will be a mindless blind rage of a monster hysteria swiping and destroying all in its reach: the guilty as well as the innocent will be carried off in the storm.

Revolution is destined to happen, but it is still in our hands to make it a peaceful revolution. We must move beyond anger and free all the genius energy anger devours so that the American people can think clearly, feel clearly, act by ballot and peacefully and courageously protest our grievances until our president, congress and court hear us.

First, find a way to privately express and free yourself from this anger. Don’t be lost in the boiling rage of the mob mind. Were George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Samuel or John Adams men who ran wild with their rage against King George’s imperial taxation-without-representation machine? The founding fathers of our revolution where rational, cool, centered citizens. They tried in every way to find a peaceful solution to their problems with King George in England and only chose violent confrontation as the last resort. I’m hoping our leaders are not a stubborn and stupid as that mad king.

You, Chris, in your letter and Joe Stack in his suicide manifesto promote violence as the first resort.

Are we to follow the path of Usama bin Laden or Thomas Jefferson?

Let us choose to emulate people like George Washington, Adams and Jefferson, over Robespierre and his guillotine, which in the end was used to cut off his own idiotic head to end the terror he started. Even Nostradamus foresaw that end for such men when he said:

De gent esclaue chansons, chants & requestes,
Captifs par Princes & Seigneur aux prisons:
A l’aduenir par idiotz sans testes,
Seront receus par diuaines oraisons.

From the enslaved people, songs, chants and demands,
The princes and lords are held captive in prisons:

He wrote this in 1555 and indexed in Century 1, Quatrain 14. By the way, the storming of the Bastille prison that started the French Revolution happened on the 14th day of July 1789.

I get where Chris is coming from because I share the same dominant ego identity trait. All egos or states of idiocy programmed over our souls possess one overriding trait. Some ego-idiot minds imposed on us are that of the Victim, the Narcissistic Bargainer (that’s Obama), and the trait Chris and I wrestle with, the Anger type.

Strange thing about anger. When you are under its spell actions committed in anger disempowered you. Joe Stack’s actions and domestic terrorism did not change a thing. The IRS goes on about its work now an ennobled victim. Indeed, his act of terrorism has indirectly branded all those with real grievances with the same mark. There will be less listening now in the tragic aftermath of broken families — the surviving Stacks and Joe’s victims — a burned office and a burnt home.

I can share with Chris and the rest of you meditation techniques that can help transform and free much of your life force that is under the grip of anger’s tyranny. Free that liberated energy, think, and feel clearly. Seek then creative solutions and be a part of a peaceful American Revolution.

Where to begin? We are in for Aquarian revolutionary times when the mad act of a man rendered powerless to effect change in his life, come to the end of his temper’s tether, hurtles plane, body and soul into the face of an IRS building in Austin Texas today. What is more disturbing is that much of what he says in his suicide note-cum-manifesto cogently and angrily touches on much of the discontent growing in America from a people feeling ever more disenfranchised and unrepresented by the Democrat-Republican duopoly in service of the new power in the world, the CEOligarchy I first described in Predictions for 2009.

I am a scholar of prophetic traditions. You might call me a historian of possible futures. There are a number of collective visions out there that if interpreted correctly point to revolution in the streets of America no later than ten years from now.

The act of domestic terror by Joe Stack was extreme. Moreover, today’s violence unfortunately chalks up another successful prediction in Predictions for 2010 I hoped would not happen. In Chapter 7, Domesticated Terrorism, I predicted the following logged off on 1 November 2009:

I believe now the window of an overseas-based Muslim terrorist attack is closing as domestic jihad cells replace it. Added to this is a new terrorist danger arising in 2010. Not only from Muslims but white Supremacists, right wing militias. The next great terrorist may be numbered among the angry and unemployable people who disbelievingly watch bankers and CEOs winning bonuses for busting the bank loaning payroll to their jobs. The well-armed American unemployed go out to set a fire or throw a bomb in a CEO limo’s direction.

What the first of these domestic terrorists states in Stock’s “Stark” manifesto (below), are the very issues that may see the American middle class in the 2020s repeat what the French middle class did in 1789: a very bloody and terrifying revolution in the streets of France. They had their own oligarchy of royals and aristocracy who did not listen to their grievances as they bankrupted France until at last when all posturing and talk of change was exhausted, the middle class of France led the masses into the whirlwind of the French Revolution.

Today’s terrible act of violence — one man’s storming of the Bastille with plane rather than pike and musket — could be taken up my masses of Americans in our near future. I fear that unless in the coming decade we the people can make our grievances understood in Washington D.C. we are headed for bloody revolution that will make the loss of life and property of the French Revolution look pale in comparison. And like the decade long French Revolution, it can end in the fascist dictatorship of another Napoleon Bonaparte.

I said as much after appearing on Coast to Coast AM back on Tuesday night (27 January) with George Noory as host. My three-hour interview, which you can download at Coast to Coast AM, took place later that night after I watched the self-narcissistic applauding and back slapping Congress root for or roost grumpily against an often toothy, Jimmy-Carter-grinning President Barack Obama giving his State of the Union speech. Obama without shame reprised verbatim promises of change given a year before and failed to deliver. I said on the show that president and US Congress remind me of king and aristocracy of Versailles, France, ten years out from the French Revolution, in complete disconnect to their people’s troubles, anger and the oncoming deluge. The US President, Supreme Court and Congress remind me of Czar, courts and Russian Duma in the 1900s giving words but little serious action to reforming Russia ten years out from the Bolshevik apocalypse. Do not think it cannot happen in America! Many prophets have foreseen it. On Coast to Coast I read a selection of their visions of the next American Revolution.

I do not promote or wish to see this bloody future happen. The tragic act of one software programmer/engineer who snapped is a warning of what might come in ten short years if the invisible majority of suffering Americans should be left with violence as their only mode left to communicate to a mentally walled in Washington D.C. adrift from democracy.

I pray for a peaceful Jeffersonian Revolution rather than the terror of the French Revolution.

We must work towards a peaceful change as time is running out.

If you’re reading this, you’re no doubt asking yourself, “Why did this have to happen?” The simple truth is that it is complicated and has been coming for a long time. The writing process, started many months ago, was intended to be therapy in the face of the looming realization that there isn’t enough therapy in the world that can fix what is really broken. Needless to say, this rant could fill volumes with example after example if I would let it. I find the process of writing it frustrating, tedious, and probably pointless… especially given my gross inability to gracefully articulate my thoughts in light of the storm raging in my head. Exactly what is therapeutic about that I’m not sure, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

We are all taught as children that without laws there would be no society, only anarchy. Sadly, starting at early ages we in this country have been brainwashed to believe that, in return for our dedication and service, our government stands for justice for all. We are further brainwashed to believe that there is freedom in this place, and that we should be ready to lay our lives down for the noble principals represented by its founding fathers. Remember? One of these was “no taxation without representation”. I have spent the total years of my adulthood unlearning that crap from only a few years of my childhood. These days anyone who really stands up for that principal is promptly labeled a “crackpot”, traitor and worse.

While very few working people would say they haven’t had their fair share of taxes (as can I), in my lifetime I can say with a great degree of certainty that there has never been a politician cast a vote on any matter with the likes of me or my interests in mind. Nor, for that matter.

Why is it that a handful of thugs and plunderers can commit unthinkable atrocities (and in the case of the GM executives, for scores of years) and when it’s time for their gravy train to crash under the weight of their gluttony and overwhelming stupidity, the force of the full federal government has no difficulty coming to their aid within days if not hours? Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies. Yet, the political “representatives” (thieves, liars, and self-serving scumbags is far more accurate) have endless time to sit around for year after year and debate the state of the “terrible health care problem”. It’s clear they see no crisis as long as the dead people don’t get in the way of their corporate profits rolling in.

And justice? You’ve got to be kidding!

How can any rational individual explain that white elephant conundrum in the middle of our tax system and, indeed, our entire legal system? Here we have a system that is, by far, too complicated for the brightest of the master scholars to understand. Yet, it mercilessly “holds accountable” its victims, claiming that they’re responsible for fully complying with laws not even the experts understand. The law “requires” a signature on the bottom of a tax filing; yet no one can say truthfully that they understand what they are signing; if that’s not “duress” than what is. If this is not the measure of a totalitarian regime, nothing is.

How did I get here?

My introduction to the real American nightmare starts back in the early ’80s. Unfortunately after more than 16 years of school, somewhere along the line I picked up the absurd, pompous notion that I could read and understand plain English. Some friends introduced me to a group of people who were having ‘tax code’ readings and discussions. In particular, zeroed in on a section relating to the wonderful “exemptions” that make institutions like the vulgar, corrupt Catholic Church so incredibly wealthy. We carefully studied the law (with the help of some of the “best”, high-paid, experienced tax lawyers in the business), and then began to do exactly what the “big boys” were doing (except that we weren’t steeling from our congregation or lying to the government about our massive profits in the name of God). We took a great deal of care to make it all visible, following all of the rules, exactly the way the law said it was to be done.

The intent of this exercise and our efforts was to bring about a much-needed re-evaluation of the laws that allow the monsters of organized religion to make such a mockery of people who earn an honest living. However, this is where I learned that there are two “interpretations” for every law; one for the very rich, and one for the rest of us… Oh, and the monsters are the very ones making and enforcing the laws; the inquisition is still alive and well today in this country.

That little lesson in patriotism cost me $40,000+, 10 years of my life, and set my retirement plans back to 0. It made me realize for the first time that I live in a country with an ideology that is based on a total and complete lie. It also made me realize, not only how naive I had been, but also the incredible stupidity of the American public; that they buy, hook, line, and sinker, the crap about their “freedom”… and that they continue to do so with eyes closed in the face of overwhelming evidence and all that keeps happening in front of them.

Before even having to make a shaky recovery from the sting of the first lesson on what justice really means in this country (around 1984 after making my way through engineering school and still another five years of “paying my dues”), I felt I finally had to take a chance of launching my dream of becoming an independent engineer.

On the subjects of engineers and dreams of independence, I should digress somewhat to say that I’m sure that I inherited the fascination for creative problem solving from my father. I realized this at a very young age.

The significance of independence, however, came much later during my early years of college; at the age of 18 or 19 when I was living on my own as student in an apartment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. My neighbor was an elderly retired woman (80+ seemed ancient to me at that age) who was the widowed wife of a retired steel worker. Her husband had worked all his life in the steel mills of central Pennsylvania with promises from big business and the union that, for his 30 years of service, he would have a pension and medical care to look forward to in his retirement. Instead he was one of the thousands who got nothing because the incompetent mill management and corrupt union (not to mention the government) raided their pension funds and stole their retirement. All she had was social security to live on.

In retrospect, the situation was laughable because here I was living on peanut butter and bread (or Ritz crackers when I could afford to splurge) for months at a time. When I got to know this poor figure and heard her story I felt worse for her plight than for my own (I, after all, I thought I had everything to in front of me). I was genuinely appalled at one point, as we exchanged stories and commiserated with each other over our situations, when she in her grandmotherly fashion tried to convince me that I would be “healthier” eating cat food (like her) rather than trying to get all my substance from peanut butter and bread. I couldn’t quite go there, but the impression was made. I decided that I didn’t trust big business to take care of me, and that I would take responsibility for my own future and myself.

Return to the early ’80s, and here I was off to a terrifying start as a ‘wet-behind-the-ears’ contract software engineer… and two years later, thanks to the fine backroom, midnight effort by the sleazy executives of Arthur Andersen (the very same folks who later brought us Enron and other such calamities) and an equally sleazy New York Senator (Patrick Moynihan), we saw the passage of 1986 tax reform act with its section 1706.

For you who are unfamiliar, here is the core text of the IRS Section 1706, defining the treatment of workers (such as contract engineers) for tax purposes. SEC. 1706. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.

(a) IN GENERAL – Section 530 of the Revenue Act of 1978 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection:

(d) EXCEPTION. – This section shall not apply in the case of an individual who pursuant to an arrangement between the taxpayer and another person, provides services for such other person as an engineer, designer, drafter, computer programmer, systems analyst, or other similarly skilled worker engaged in a similar line of work.

(b) EFFECTIVE DATE. – The amendment made by this section shall apply to remuneration paid and services rendered after December 31, 1986.

Note:

–”another person” is the client in the traditional job-shop relationship.

–”taxpayer” is the recruiter, broker, agency, or job shop.

–”individual”, “employee”, or “worker” is you.

Admittedly, you need to read the treatment to understand what it is saying but it’s not very complicated. The bottom line is that they may as well have put my name right in the text of section (d). Moreover, they could only have been more blunt if they would have came out and directly declared me a criminal and non-citizen slave. Twenty years later, I still can’t believe my eyes.

During 1987, I spent close to $5000 of my ‘pocket change’, and at least 1000 hours of my time writing, printing, and mailing to any senator, congressman, governor, or slug that might listen; none did, and they universally treated me as if I was wasting their time. I spent countless hours on the L.A. freeways driving to meetings and any and all of the disorganized professional groups who were attempting to mount a campaign against this atrocity. This, only to discover that our efforts were being easily derailed by a few moles from the brokers who were just beginning to enjoy the windfall from the new declaration of their “freedom”. Oh, and don’t forget, for all of the time I was spending on this, I was loosing income that I couldn’t bill clients.

After months of struggling it had clearly gotten to be a futile exercise. The best we could get for all of our trouble is a pronouncement from an IRS mouthpiece that they weren’t going to enforce that provision (read harass engineers and scientists). This immediately proved to be a lie, and the mere existence of the regulation began to have its impact on my bottom line; this, of course, was the intended effect.

Again, rewind my retirement plans back to 0 and shift them into idle. If I had any sense, I clearly should have left abandoned engineering and never looked back.

Instead I got busy working 100-hour workweeks. Then came the L.A. depression of the early 1990s. Our leaders decided that they didn’t need the all of those extra Air Force bases they had in Southern California, so they were closed; just like that. The result was economic devastation in the region that rivaled the widely publicized Texas S&L fiasco. However, because the government caused it, no one gave a shit about all of the young families who lost their homes or street after street of boarded up houses abandoned to the wealthy loan companies who received government funds to “shore up” their windfall. Again, I lost my retirement.

Years later, after weathering a divorce and the constant struggle trying to build some momentum with my business, I find myself once again beginning to finally pick up some speed. Then came the .COM bust and the 911 nightmare. Our leaders decided that all aircraft were grounded for what seemed like an eternity; and long after that, ‘special’ facilities like San Francisco were on security alert for months. This made access to my customers prohibitively expensive. Ironically, after what they had done the Government came to the aid of the airlines with billions of our tax dollars … as usual they left me to rot and die while they bailed out their rich, incompetent cronies WITH MY MONEY! After these events, there went my business but not quite yet all of my retirement and savings.

By this time, I’m thinking that it might be good for a change. Bye to California, I’ll try Austin for a while. So I moved, only to find out that this is a place with a highly inflated sense of self-importance and where damn little real engineering work is done. I’ve never experienced such a hard time finding work. The rates are 1/3 of what I was earning before the crash, because pay rates here are fixed by the three or four large companies in the area who are in collusion to drive down prices and wages… and this happens because the justice department is all on the take and doesn’t give a fuck about serving anyone or anything but themselves and their rich buddies.

To survive, I was forced to cannibalize my savings and retirement, the last of which was a small IRA. This came in a year with mammoth expenses and not a single dollar of income. I filed no return that year thinking that because I didn’t have any income there was no need. The sleazy government decided that they disagreed. But they didn’t notify me in time for me to launch a legal objection so when I attempted to get a protest filed with the court I was told I was no longer entitled to due process because the time to file ran out. Bend over for another $10,000 helping of justice.

So now we come to the present. After my experience with the CPA world, following the business crash I swore that I’d never enter another accountant’s office again. But here I am with a new marriage and a boatload of undocumented income, not to mention an expensive new business asset, a piano, which I had no idea how to handle. After considerable thought I decided that it would be irresponsible NOT to get professional help; a very big mistake.

When we received the forms back I was very optimistic that they were in order. I had taken all of the years information to Bill Ross, and he came back with results very similar to what I was expecting. Except that he had neglected to include the contents of Sheryl’s unreported income; $12,700 worth of it. To make matters worse, Ross knew all along this was missing and I didn’t have a clue until he pointed it out in the middle of the audit By that time it had become brutally evident that he was representing himself and not me.

This left me stuck in the middle of this disaster trying to defend transactions that have no relationship to anything tax-related (at least the tax-related transactions were poorly documented). Things I never knew anything about and things my wife had no clue would ever matter to anyone. The end result is… well, just look around.

I remember reading about the stock market crash before the “great” depression and how there were wealthy bankers and businessmen jumping out of windows when they realized they screwed up and lost everything. Isn’t it ironic how far we’ve come in 60 years in this country that they now know how to fix that little economic problem; they just steal from the middle class (who doesn’t have any say in it, elections are a joke) to cover their asses and it’s “business-as-usual”. Now when the wealthy fuck up, the poor get to die for the mistakes… isn’t that a clever, tidy solution.

As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.

I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand. It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn’t limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants. I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after. But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change. I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough.

I can only hope that the numbers quickly get too big to be white washed and ignored that the American zombies wake up and revolt; it will take nothing less. I would only hope that by striking a nerve that stimulates the inevitable double standard, knee-jerk government reaction that results in more stupid draconian restrictions people wake up and begin to see the pompous political thugs and their mindless minions for what they are. Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn’t so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer. The cruel joke is that the really big chunks of shit at the top have known this all along and have been laughing, at and using this awareness against, fools like me all along.

I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.

Nostradamus: 1503-1566.

Friends,
I would like to share with you a legitimate complaint that has no doubt been passed down generation after generation through 450 years of readers and scholars of Nostradamus. One might call it the fundamental complaint about the conscious and calculated obscurity Nostradamus chose to cloak his history of the future. I had a valuable discussion with a reader named Chris in two emails that I would like to share with my Internet community in this and a second blog.

What initiated this discussion was Chris’ comment about my recent blog about the death of Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud making him a candidate for Nostradamus’ Third and Final antichrist, codenamed “Mabus.” (See The Death of Baitullah Mehsud: Is he Mabus? posted 10 August 2009). Unlike the other two antichrists (believed to be Napoleon and Hitler), the third dies at the beginning of his career and his death somehow triggers the unraveling of the world of people and animals for either 27 or 25 years. (You can read my full accounting of the Mabus prophecies here: Mabus Nostradamus.) My inserts are put in Chris’ comments from today to help clarify.

What about the rest of the quatrain? [Chris means the famous "Mabus" quatrain: Century 2 Quatrain 62.] What makes Mabus the Third Anti-Christ anyway? There really isn’t that much evidence linking Mabus with the Third Anti-Christ. I read John’s Mabus book and I just don’t see it…maybe I’m stubborn, or maybe I just want real evidence, and now what if and could be.

HOGUE:
Hi Chris,

Two answers:

1.) Yes, you stubbornly want to have the future fit your view. I understand it. I wrestle with this every day as a prophecy scholar. I am very sympathetic to your stubborn stance about facts.

2.) You want the facts to draw conclusions when all the facts haven’t happened yet to make that conclusion. This is the dilemma of being a futurist. How can there be facts before an event completely happened?

In Nostradamus and the Antichrist, Code Named: MABUS, I laid out the ways in which candidates did and didn’t fit the clues in the prophecy. I showed the linguistic links that are the main ways Nostradamus cued us into quatrains linking by word usage, biblical metaphor and classical metaphors to other quatrains.

I also gave you objective facts matching prophecy, such as Saddam Hussein’s reign of terror lasting 27 years and that he died when a comet did pass [as the Mabus prophecy in Century 2 Quatrain 62 specifies]. Again, as long as there are other possibilities waiting in the future we cannot be “objective” about facts being fulfilled now. For instance, Saddam died on the day a major comet did appear to the naked eye, 27 years after he took power, but what if Usama bin Laden dies when a new comet passes? What if the comet is a missile and not a comet, as such, but a metaphor for something Nostradamus can’t quite grasp, like a missile fired from a drone with a long comet like trail of fire coming out of the sky?

One may be 100 percent able to judge the antichrist prophecies when and only when the times they frame have clearly come and gone into the past, like other prophecies Nostradamus wrote about the French Revolution, or Hitler, or Napoleon, etc.

The execution of Louis XVI: Elected "Cap", bloody slicing

Readers and the press often ask me this question:

Would you tell us which one of Nostradamus’ fulfilled predictions has impressed you the most?

My answer is, there are many. Hundreds in fact. Here’s one foretelling the unsuccessful attempted escape of Louis XVI and the royal family from the gathering threat of Revolutionary France. Nostradamus set down these details 235 years before it happened:

CENTURY 9 QUATRAIN 20 (Les Propheties)

De nuict viendra par la forest de(1) Reines,
Deux pars(2) vaultorte(3) Herne(4) la pierre blanche:
Le moine noir(5) en gris dedans Varennes,
Esleu(6) cap.(7) cause tempeste feu, sang tranche.

By night he will come by the forest of Reines,
A married couple, devious route, Queen white stone:
A monk-king in gray in Varennes,
Elected Cap, causes tempest, fire, and bloody slicing.

(1) Grammar error: forest de(s) Reines. (2) O.F. (Old French) pair, par, couple. (3) Compound word: O.F. volte, route, and tort, detour. (4) Anagram for Reine = Queen (Drop the H move the r = rene; add the i = reine.). (5) Anagram for roi (drop the n). (6) O.F. elevated, raised in rank and dignity. (7) Apocope for (Louis) Capet, i.e. Louis XVI.

On the night of 20 June 1791 the royal family, disguised as servants of Baroness de Korff, left Paris in a heavy covered carriage to journey north to the border and freedom. Traveling throughout the night and the next day, they arrived at the town of Varennes just before midnight in search of rest and refreshment. The town’s mayor, a man called Sauce, invited the weary travelers into his grocery store to take a glass of wine and, while they drank, he and his wife asked them about themselves and their journey. Sauce was suspicious of the couple — the nervous man dressed in a monklike gray hat and cloak and the woman who, although clad in a plain white dress, was betrayed by her manner and bearing as a lady of noble birth.

When an interested listener standing nearby recognized the royal couple, Sauce sent him to alert the town garrison. In desperation Marie Antoinette, tears streaking her face, begged Madame Sauce to let her family continue their journey. She was unmoved by the royal tears. “I love my King, but I love my husband as well and would not have him lose his head.” Louis and his family were returned to Paris as prisoners.

Over two centuries before this doomed escape attempt and its tragic consequences were played out, Nostradamus had foreseen it all.

This quatrain is startlingly accurate in every detail. It is numbered 20 after the date of the attempted escape — 20 June 1791. The royal family’s road to freedom took them past the forest of Reines but the coach was eventually forced, by the poor road and lack of replacement horses, to make a detour. Devious thus describes a detour, the secrecy and their disguise. Witnesses who reported seeing the pair during their escape described them as a married couple and Louis as a monk. The town of Varennes was the scene of their discovery. Queen white stone gives in only three words a perfect description of Marie Antoinette’s appearance and emotional state: She wore a white dress, and some said that shock and distress turned her hair white overnight. White stone could be a double-pun alluding to both her hardness of heart towards the lower classes and lack of personal warmth, and to the notorious diamond necklace scandal. Elected Cap, is Louis Capet, formerly the supreme ruler Louis XVI, now elected monarch of the new constitutional government (causes tempest), whose death will spark a counter-revolution that will be suppressed by the Republicans with the guillotine (bloody slicing).

1507–1520: The Coming of the Lost White Brother

At the height of the Aztec Empire, a collective vision existed among priests and citizens alike that bearded visitors from across the eastern sea would soon appear on their shores. All native American peoples of that time shared a vision of the return of Pahana, the lost white brother. The Hopi Indians said that if Pahana returned with the symbol of the cross, this showed he had not kept a balance between his inventions and his spirit and he would bring a holocaust upon the native Americans. A string of evil omens assailed the Aztec Empire at the advent of the white brother. There was famine, an eclipse, an earthquake and the cold light of a comet bathing the capital city for several months. All were seen as omens of imminent doom.

In 1507 King Montezuma–the Aztec Napoleon and empire builder–went to Tlillancalmecatl (the place of heavenly learning) to divine the meaning of these premonitions. Occultists placed before him an ash-colored crane. While in trance, Montezuma peered at a vision reflected in the mirror-like crest of the bird’s head and saw the firmament beset by flaming torches. The flames melted into a vision of massed invaders astride large deer. (No Aztec had ever seen horses.) At the same time, Pranazin, Montezuma’s sister, fell in a death-like faint. On recovering her senses, she described a vision of great ships from the east, crowded with alien men in strange attire, with metal casques atop their bearded heads.

Her dream men were destined to plant their cross banners upon the rubble of the Aztec Empire. In 1520 Aztec nightmares became reality when Hernando Cortez, leading a marauding army of mounted conquistadors, seized and destroyed the Aztec Empire.

1632–1633: The Execution of Montmorency

The Lily of the Dauphin will proceed to Nancy.

Nostradamus (1557), Century 9 Quatrain 18

The French prophet Michel Nostradamus (1503-1566) could transmit detailed futures in very few words. In the first two lines he identifies the next and future French ruler, who would use the title Dauphin before coronation. He also mentions the city of Nancy, which was liberated in 1633 by the same king, Louis XIII. Line two tells us the reason: to free Philip Christopher von Soetern, Elector of the Holy Roman Empire, who was imprisoned near Flanders (Brussels).

Lines three and four take a retroactive look at the execution in 1632 of the popular governor of Languedoc, Henry de Montmorency. Nostradamus calls him the great, the nickname of this popular hero who was tricked by Cardinal Richelieu into supporting Louis’ idiot brother in his claim for the throne. Montmorency was condemned to die at the newly constructed Hôtel de Ville. The prophet correctly calls it a new prison and outside the usual place for execution.

Louis’ punishment of Montmorency was indeed famous at the time. Even the Queen of England and the pope pleaded for leniency on his behalf, but to no avail. The original French words for famous punishment are clere peine. The swordsman who beheaded the governor was named Clerepeine! All this was seen by Nostradamus over seventy-five years before it happened.

1789–1794: The French Revolution

At about a.d. 1800 great tribulations will come. Arrogance and vanity will rule the world. Cocks will arise in France, and they will break the lilies, kill monarchs and oppress the Christian faith and Church. Priests and servants of the Church will be reduced to misery, the young led to atheism, and republics will be established in the whole world…

…From the enslaved people, songs, chants and demands. The Princes and Lords are held captive in prisons. (C1 Q14)

…Conflict will take place at the Tuileries by the 500….Fire and bloody slicing [during]….the advent of the common people….The Christian Church will be persecuted more fiercely than ever it was in Africa, and this will last to the year 1792 which they will believe marks the renewal of time. Nostradamus (1555-1557)

The cock was the symbol of the French republicans; the lilies, the symbol of the fleur-de-lis upon royal livery. An anti-god religion called The Cult of Reason was established by the new republic. The French Revolution spread republicanism around the European world. The Tuileries didn’t even exist when Nostradamus foresaw it being stormed by 513 Fédérés, better known as the Five Hundred Marseillaise. The Church was disbanded, the monks and nuns guillotined or thrown out on the streets. Also 1792 was the year the revolutionaries believed marked the beginning of the new age. They celebrated this by replacing the old Christian calendar with a new one.
