Things are not what they seem. There is saber rattling in the Persian Gulf (or what Nostradamus called in his predictions about a future war with Iran, the “Arabian” Gulf). Your corporately funded and controlled mainstream news outlets like to prey on the childishness of the masses. They play our overlording parent waving a saber baby rattle to attract a child’s wondering attention as the nurse, as it were, prepares the painful butt shot.

Watch the rattling saber, my fellow babies. Coo your concern and fatal attraction to a war being pushed upon you with Iran by a military industrial complex that needs to find another market in the highly profitable big business of war armaments and deterrents in the Middle East. The war business lost the Iraq market with the pullout of the US military occupation. Pakistan’s radicalization will soon pinch off the war market in Afghanistan, much sooner than the deadline of 2014, by the way.

The public’s infantile attention is directed elsewhere, away from real dangers lurking in the highly unstable and Islamist-bound regime along the Indus River. Pakistan with its crash program to triple its nuclear weapons stockpile is adding 200 more 25 to 35 kiloton nuclear warheads to its current arsenal of 100 nukes by 2021. The press obsesses on Iran maybe someday building an atomic bomb. Terrorist cells train in Pakistan in the vicinity of 100-plus nuclear warhead stockpiles TODAY. A Pakistani military and government already heavily infiltrated by jihadist sympathizers guard these Islamic A-bombs. The same military and government that often give Afghani Taliban logistical and intelligence support when they attack US and NATO forces occupying Afghanistan.

Iran is years away from having the ability to build atomic weapons. At any moment now, a Pakistani warhead or radioactive materials stockpiled to build hundreds more could be smuggled to the Taliban or what is left of al-Qaeda. The tools of nuclear terrorism can at any moment be smuggled out of Pakistani military bases and handed over to emerging and strengthening organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba. This Pakistani based jihadist network effectively shot up downtown Mumbai India in November 2008.

Iran may soon become a danger, but Pakistan, right now, IS a danger and its growing instability becomes a more clear and present threat to human peace and stability than what the Iranians may or may not be doing with their nuclear civilian program at this time. I predict it will be proven that Iran is only learning how to make an atomic bomb. They will not actually build them. Israel introduced these awful weapons of mass atomic destruction into the Middle East in the 1960s. They now have an arms race lead of an estimated 80 to 300 warheads. It is impossible to catch up given the scrutiny and economic sanctions placed on Iran.

Rattle, rattle, rattle goes the sword of war in its scabbard, daily and nightly on the 24-hour news cycles of corporately left-leaning CNN to corporately right-leaning Fox News propaganda organs of the politically two-faced aristocracy of our times. The elites do not cite bloodlines as their reason for being the alpha male and female class. They cite bottom lines of immense hoards of corporate wealth and influence over totalitarian and democratic government politicians of our day.

They have an agenda. They want to “inject” something into the backside of the Middle East to control the juice of their affluence, the black blood that runs our civilization: the last location of easy-to-drill petroleum that happens to lie underneath volatile Arab and Persian states. Since 2006 and in my book about war with Iran, I have been writing about a movement masquerading behind the US and Israeli governments that is neo-Imperialist, Neo-Conservative. It has the former deputy Secretary of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz and the former Vice President Dick Cheney as its earliest author and editor of a manifesto first introduced shortly after the end of the Cold War, that strategically planned a new way for American superpower to remain relevant after the Soviet Union’s collapse. In short, America with help or unilaterally must take down the rogue regimes of Saddam Hussein’s Iraq and the Islamic Revolutionary regime of Iran so that oil can run free and fully under the sphere of influence of the United States. If war and occupation must happen in Iraq and Iran, then so be it. As I listed in a recent article Israel Iran Strike, the Wolf, his Dick and many other leading figures in the Neo-Conservative movement crowded the G.W. Bush administration’s cabinet. They successfully pushed the US Congress in October of 2002 to grant war powers to the president based on a lot of saber rattling and no solid evidence that Saddam Hussein had a stockpile of weapons of mass destruction that was an imminent threat to the United States. All complete and hyperbolic BS, as it turned out, but it got the Neo-Conservatives half way to their goal, even though it did not get them the oil because the Bush administration proved to be a bungling gaggle of faux Imperialists. Saddam’s Iraq went down. Iran, you are next.

I have also been at pains to forewarn my readers that this cabal of Neo-Cons marries right wing corporate interests in the US to Zionist supremacists in Israel, which would have the US expend its treasure and its blood to fulfill the foreign policies of Israel. This has become an absurdist turn of events where the proxies control the superpower. I understand why Israel might seek to manipulate a friend and military giant to wage its wars and aggressive foreign policies in a region hostile to its existence. I understand why Iran might want to know how to build an atomic bomb when hundreds of Israeli warheads are pointed at its people, which an any point might be unleashed.

What you, my readers, need to understand is that Iran’s oil reserves are dwindling. Teheran plans in the next few decades to build 15 nuclear plants because the next generation of Iranians will need a new industry beyond the fading oil export industry, and a new source of electricity and power to generate it. Iran MUST go ahead with its nuclear program for its economic survival and the only way it can pay for it is to export oil while there is still oil to ship out through the Strait of Hormuz.

Cut its ability to export and you have cut Iran’s economic future below the knees. When you shut a country’s economy down and stop talking to them, you leave that country only a military option. More on that a little later.

Know this also, that Iran seeks like any other signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the knowledge to build atomic weapons.

Did we sanction Taiwan, South Korea, or Japan decades before when they tested and acquired the know-how to build atomic weapons, just in case a nuclear power like Communist China might threaten?

The saber rattles and rattles your attention away from the hypocrisies and big business oil and big business military players behind the facades of President Bush, President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

The war market is in a crisis. The infernal shop of conflict is closing for the moment in Iraq and in Afghanistan soon. There is ever less reason out there for US taxpayers to bankroll this capitalist welfare program that fields a Cold War sized Imperial US armed force after strategic threats requiring such a behemoth had vanished with the Cold War over 20 years ago. Global economic pressures also push America to downsize its stupendous military might. It is ten times more powerful than any armed force that could vaguely threaten. Now that Saddam is gone, the big boots of a Soviet sized bogeyman look even more ridiculous if you try to shove them on little, rat faced Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s feet.

A resumption of a global cold war with the Soviet replacement, the Russian Federation, is unlikely for now, so big war businessmen must seek a regional cold war business model. Iran is perfect for this. The military industrialists would prefer containing Iran for decades rather than a short sharp and messy conflict. The Cold War between the US and Soviet Union cost relatively few American lives, compared to the First and Second World Wars but made contractors in the Military Industrial Complex insanely rich off taxpayer’s dollars just preparing for, but not actually waging, doomsday. The same set up is happening in the Persian Gulf Cold War starting in 2012. Huge defense spending contracts and orders are already going through, soon to rebuild and reboot the air forces and missile defense systems of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States with the most modern and most pricey US weaponry on the market.

The more moderate puppet masters competing to pull the strings of the current US president and Israeli Prime Minister would seek to postpone a major war with Iran. Building and sustaining military deterrents is much more war profitable. At least postpone until the middle of the decade at the earliest because fantastic profits are theirs for the taking in a ramp up of Saudi and Gulf State rearmament for the next four years.

There is at the moment a more impatient set of polemical puppet masters of the Neo-Con-cum-Zionist faction of the military industrial complex that want to give Iran what I would call the “Japanese Ultimatum” – the no choice but war option. They know they cannot stop Iran from exploring nuclear weapons unless they can somehow push Teheran out of its passive aggressive foreign policy game into some precipitous action. All the last attempts during the Bush administration since 2005 through 2008 to create a military incident in the Strait of Hormuz in which most of the oil shipped by sea to the world passes failed because the Iranians did not take the provocative bait. They have not taken the bait in a clandestine war the US started waging inside Iran since 2005. Terrorists the US supports are available for weapons and bomb training in a number of non-Persian ethnic populations in Iran. The CIA and Israeli Mossad secret services have trained these to blow up hundreds of people in bombed planes, squares and mosques across Iran since 2005.

Your corporate Western media does not want you to know that.

The serial assassination of nearly a half dozen nuclear physicists and scientists of late is just an escalation of this secret war of terrorism waged against Iranians by Israeli and CIA operatives.

Oh! I’m sorry. These roadside bombers aren’t terrorists. If the good guys blow women and children up with car bombs in crowded streets of Iran, they are “freedom fighters.”

Now, to be fair, Iran’s government is getting its own back. They wage clandestine war against Israel ever since this secret war started, using the proxies of Hezbollah and have sent military trainers by the hundreds to teach Hezbollah terrorists how to launch imported Iranian rockets falling on innocent Israeli civilians. A large part of the 5,000 US and Coalition soldiers killed in Iraq and to some extent Afghanistan were fatally maimed by an ever more deadly evolution of Iranian manufactured roadside bombs.

The Iranian-US-Israeli regional Cold War has been on since 2005, yet in 2012, it could go potentially hot, like the global cold war between the US and the Soviet Union almost did during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Especially now that the Neo-Cons are doing everything they can through the media and through political pressure in the US to push upon Obama the “Japanese Ultimatum” against Iran.

In late 2011, the US Senate voted unanimously to enact a regimen of sanctions handed to President Obama that would cripple Iran’s one economic lifeline, its oil exports. Obama would prefer to push the Iranians in increments, but forces pulling the strings and holding the financial purses of Democratic and Republican puppets in the Senate have pressed for an escalation that will, if successful, end all political support for a negotiated solution in Iran.

General Hideki Tojo became Japan's Prime Minister in 1941 when US ultimatums and a US embargo of steel and petroleum exports silenced doves and diplomats in the Japanese cabinet. Tojo sanctioned the surprise attack on the US Pacific Fleet at Peal Harbor.

It is kind of a reverse image of what happened to Imperial Japan just before they went to war with the US in 1941. The expansion, indeed the survival, of the Japanese Empire depended on foreign exports of steel and oil to fuel and arm its military. Most of these exports came from America. When President Franklin D. Roosevelt put an embargo on all oil and steel exports to Japan, he forced the diplomats out of power in Tokyo. War hawk officers filled the void in the Japanese Cabinet of Emperor Hirohito. Negotiations had turned to ultimatums from America to get out of Indo-China and China. In less than a year, Japan’s military machine would cease to work. No country with a war machine and Imperial intentions, be they Japan in the 1940s or Neo-Conned America in the 21st century, will let their forces run out of steel and fuel. War was the only option Japan had. They attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941 to destroy the US Pacific Fleet so their own fleet and army could conquer the oil fields of Indonesia without US threat.

History past becomes history future, relatively easy to forecast, because people keep conditioning their new generations to repeat the same stupid mistakes. All the elements of the Japan Ultimatum are in this Iran Ultimatum passed by the US Senate. Oil is again the catalyst for war, only this time it is not oil denied to Iran’s domestic industries and military forces. Iranian oil exports will be severely restrained “from” Iran.

Rather than aid a negotiated settlement, like with Japan, the cynical intention of these sanctions is to flush out any remaining doves from the Iranian government, which has already become more militarized and dominated by its own General Hideki Tojos, the officers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. If you want to force the hand of war, push sanctions that are impossible to economically survive. Threaten a nation’s economic existence.

There is another objective, more cynical and dreadful happening here and Iran is only the bait, not the target. The target is a slow but fragile recovery of the US economy during a presidential election year. There are well-financially-healed oligarchic forces in the world influencing American politics that could easily absorb a temporary financial hit in 2012 if it takes down the Obama administration and what is left of the toe hold the Democrats have in the US Senate.

The creeping coup of a corporate aristocracy had already conquered the US Supreme Court in 2010 and received their “equal citizen status” allowing an empowered plutocracy to flood money and influence to decide the US elections according to what their money can buy and what you human citizens of America cannot lobby and possibly match fund.

The real reason why a push for war with Iran goes on whilst the real danger of nuclear terrorist proliferation remains unaddressed in Pakistan, is to create a false flag crisis in the Persian Gulf that disrupts oil flow out of the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan needs to go radical so the same Neo-Cons who looked the other way to let 9-11 terror attacks on America happen, can yet again resurrect a jihadist bogeyman that will require decades of deterrent military spending.

But I get ahead of myself. First, false flag a conflict with Iran in 2012. The Strait of Hormuz is closed to oil traffic. The skyrocketing oil prices will then temporarily push the US economy back into a recession. The economic downturn will be blamed on President Obama. A little war of gunboats in the Strait of Hormuz might just tip the economy back into 10 percent unemployment and convince enough voters that Obama and the Democrats controlling the Senate need to be flushed out with their votes in November 2012. A far more big business friendly Republican president and Congress in Washington would lead to a speedier dismantling of the US democracy in the name of smaller government.

Nevertheless, I believe this attempt by corporate forces will not be successful. The president will use his discretion in 2012 to attempt measured application of the Iranian sanctions. There may be a military incident in the Strait of Hormuz no later than June through August 2012. Even if there was a brief naval skirmish in 2012, it is only preliminary to the ultimate military showdown Nostradamus’ astrology seems to frame for the years 2015 and 2016.

Babies are easily distracted. The saber’s rattle of corporate interests might backfire when a baby’s attention catches upon something else that is bright and shiny, like a diplomatic breakthrough that only the threat of war might propel in the 11th hour concession from Teheran. Iran may take the enemy away from the military industrial complex pushers and surrender their nuclear weapon aspirations in 2012; or, at least achieve gaining some time in that tried and true Iranian tradition of diplomatic stalling.

Iran is a country that knows how to buy time. It has lasted for 3,000 years. However, if real diplomatic breakthroughs are not forthcoming in 2012, Iran is only buying time up to 2015 or 2016 when a terrible war showdown will come out of its skies and melt its fleets of motorboats in the Persian Gulf. Another fleet might be melted and sunk as well. Nostradamus leaves that potential open.

A conflict between Iranians and Western forces was certainly foretold in one of Nostradamus’ prophecies where he named the Strait of Hormuz outright by the name it held during the 16th century. We will examine the prophecy in my next article.

There is a lot of sensational rumor leaking out of the FBI like a broken inkwell for thumbprints, black and obscure, very messy! Apparently an Iranian-US citizen acted as go-between on visits to Teheran with operatives of the al-Quds Revolutionary Guards to pay for and hire Mexican cartel hit men to cross the US border and assassinate the Saudi Arabian Ambassador. They would throw a bomb into his lunch plate at a crowded local restaurant in Washington DC then hurl bombs at the Israeli Embassy. The blood money pledged was ridiculously low for any Mexican cartel to reap the whirlwind of US retaliation, a mere 1.4 million bucks. That will get you  a sack of cocaine.

I have watched Iran since my Boeing 747 Air India flight made a memorable midnight run over the Persian Gulf during the first week of the Iran-Iraq War in September 1980 while I was on my way to meet Osho in India for the first time.

The details coming out of FBI agent’s mouths – and flummoxing Senators debriefed on 13 October by such – are as clouded as Octopus ink and it is just as fishy. The whole story stinks to me.

It stinks of right-wing elements in the US and Israeli governments waving a false flag. These elements would still like to see plan B of their strategic goals achieved even in an Obama first or second term. This newly “discovered” Iran terror plot sounds like a semi-fictional incident (like WMDs in Iraq). It is intended to distract people away from a growing Occupy Wall Street national now “international” movement and perhaps distract people’s attention in Israel away from the steady progress of the Palestinian Authority towards some form of sovereign status in the United Nations by “trick or treat” time – Halloween.

It seems like a good time for government back door propaganda to stifle dissent in America and Israel with an ultimate and nationally uniting action. Let us make up a war with Iran and in the venture take down its Islamic Fundamentalist Theocracy. This whole terror plot smells of shadow elements in the Israeli and American governments that would like to accomplish the destruction of the Iranian regime.

That aim has been the Zionist/Neo-Conservative agenda fomented by the former Vice President Dick Cheney as far back as 1992 when Cheney as editor and a future G.W. Bush deputy Secretary of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz, authored the Neo-Con movement’s first of many evolving manifestos published after the fall of the Soviet Union. These sought to convince Americans of a new enemy to sustain the military industrial complex of the US superpower after the end of the Cold War. After the Soviet colossus fell Iraq and Iran, modestly if fairly fit the bill. They both were radically governed nations bestride some of the largest oil reserves in the world that sustained the United States “and” Western civilization with crude oil. These rogue regimes, perhaps rightfully, had to go, either by economic pressure or through unilateral invasion if global consensus was not forthcoming.

The Neo-Conservatives moved from theory to power in 2001 with G.W. Bush’s administration initially crowding their number in top cabinet posts.

Bill Kristol is the current editor of the Weekly Standard and a number of Neo-Con papers including one published in September 2000 just before the Bush-Gore presidential debates musing about the need for a “Peal Harbor” event to advance Neo-Conservative agendas. Kristol, who like many Neo-Cons enjoys dual citizenship as an American and Israeli citizen, and who also think tanks for Israeli foreign policy, has called for open war with Iran saying about this recently exposed terror plot, “We have an engraved invitation.” Since 1998, Kristol lobbied for war with Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq and said a fortnight after the 9/11 attacks in 2001 that “even if evidence does not link Iraq directly to the attack, any strategy aiming at the eradication of terrorism and its sponsors must include a determined effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power." Kristol advocated this stance in 2002 through early 2003 as a board member to the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq that lobbied hard to successfully convince Congress to vote G.W. Bush war powers to invade Iraq.

In 2000, a Neo-Con manifesto openly pondered the need for a “Pearl Harbor event” to hasten their goals. Surprise, surprise! They got one on 11 September 2001 with al-Qaeda’s aid. Now they had their national emergency and Congress grasped by its left or right leaning “balls.” The Neo-cons could make their puppet president do or say whatever they wanted because the hysteria of national unity stifled rational critics. By false flag WMD scares, they succeeded in 2003 taking down Iraq’s Saddam Hussein regime. Iran was next.

US Plans for war studied and rehearsed from 2004 through 2006 were so brazen that I felt it was time to collect Nostradamus’ many references to a war in our future between Israel and America versus Iran because it seemed imminent. The first of two astrological windows for war were open during 2007. If the first closed, the next window would open in the near future in not far off 2015-2016.

In 2006, I began composing an e-book that matched up Nostradamus prophecies with the lightly veiled apocalyptic motives of leaders in the three potential combatant states. First in America’s highest office you have evangelical Christian war hawks in the Neo-Conservative cabinet of a president who famously said that “God” told him to invade Iraq and Iran was next. You had similar latter-day aspirations murmured by the Israeli cabinet and prime minister – some openly musing that war with Iran would be a portent for the Jewish Messiah soon to come. You had Iranian President Ahmadinejad loudly and notoriously proclaim his apocalyptic aspirations for Israel being “wiped off the map of history.” Even now the Iranian president opens every public speech, even before the United Nations, with a prayer for the return of the Mahdi. He is the 12th Imam, the final prophet who will reappear from his occultation to bring on an Islamic Armageddon that will take back al-Quds (the Iranian name for Jerusalem) and make the surviving Jews true believers of Islam.

The mainstream news as ever, overlooked the subconscious motivations beneath this three-way saber rattling for Armageddon. In early 2007, I deemed it was time to publish my findings about them and perhaps go on media outlets around the world exposing these prophetic motivations examining possible war scenarios of the 16^th century French prophet leading up to those purportedly recorded in the Hadith by Islam’s final prophet himself, Muhammad.

In that book Nostradamus: The War with Iran, I gathered a number of Nostradamus prophecies that pointed to a future military showdown with Persia (modern day Iran) by Western forces. These verses using contemporary names from the 16th century even mentioned the Persian Gulf and its narrow opening, the Strait of Hormuz, as the site of a future naval and air battles where a fleet will be “melted and sunk” by those of the “trident.”

As usual, there are layers to the riddles of Nostradamus’ wordplay. The seemingly obvious solution modern people might apply is a US “trident” class submarine that melts and sinks an Iranian surface fleet that consists of an armada of thousands of small boats — none of which are larger in tonnage than corvettes armed with a brace of Chinese silk missiles. Certainly the overwhelming force of Trident submarines or the hail of fiery death descending from missiles fired by US Navy carrier jets, cruisers, frigates and destroyers would be enough to “melt” and sink any suicidal attack by a flotilla of PT 109-pint sized Kamikaze craft piloted by Iranian Shahid (martyrs).

Indeed, Nostradamus may have named the US fleet obscured in another interesting word riddle. They are called “the True Serpent.” If you look down 4.5 centuries of Nostradamus’ future history of the world that has become our past, you will often find his riddles and descriptions using nicknames or flags flown by armies and or fleets of water and even air. For instance, we have “those of the Sun” in Century 5 Quatrain 11 of Nostradamus’ history of the future Les Propheties:

Mer par solaires seure ne passera,
Ceux de Venus tiendront toute l’Affrique:
Lure regne plus Sol, Saturne n’occupera,
Et changera la part Asiatique.

Those of the Sun will not cross the sea in safety,
Those of Venus will hold all of Africa:
Their realm will no longer be occupied by Sun (and) Saturn,
And the Asiatic part will change.

Reference to those of the Sun standing alone is open to many possibilities, but the reference to Venus (a code name for “Venice”) is often used by Nostradamus to describe fascist Italy during the Second World War. Though Italy had possession of Libya, Somalia and Ethiopia at the start of the war, they did not achieve control of Africa, unless this is one of Nostradamus’ alternative futures only partially fulfilled. Saturn’s color is as black as Italian Black Shirts and German Gestapo SS troops, symbols of Axis fascism

The Battle of Midway, by R.G. Smith. Three Japanese fleet carriers take direct and fatal hits from US Navy Dauntless dive bombers, turning the tide of the war on the Pacific Ocean in June 1942. "Those of the Sun will not cross the sea in safety," wrote Nostradamus 386 years earlier. Perhaps his vision foresaw the great red suns painted on the carrier decks?

Those of the “Sun” describe the third Axis ally: the Imperial Japanese fleet, visualized in Nostradamus’ nightly reveries in trance as dark gray warships flying the rising sun flag. The US Navy and the Army Air Forces would nearly sink the entire Japanese fleet in the Second World War. The fall of the Japanese empire forever changed Asia, ending its colonial hold and that of Western empires in a series of popular anti-colonial rebellions in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and also witness the rise of a sleeping giant, the People’s Republic of China.

The true serpent fighting the Persians in our future may be another reference to a naval flag. In my book about Nostradamus’ predictions for Iran, I said the following:

Every ship in this vast US armada flies the US flag and a US Navy Jack. Note that it is a flag with thirteen red and white stripes over which an American Rattlesnake crawls under the motto “Don’t Tread on Me!” It is only in recent times that all ships of the American Navy hoist this flag. On May 22, 2002, the U.S. Navy ordered all ships to display the First Navy Jack as long as the War on Terrorism continued. Ceremonies to raise the flag of the “true” serpent took place on every US Naval ship on 11 September 2002, the first anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the “Pearl Harbor” event that launched the world war of terrorism.

On some near future date, or perhaps as late as 2015, the “true serpent” will “invade” the waters of the Persian Gulf.

So, with that said, is war with Iran about to break out earlier than the astrological window of 2015-2016?

My answer is emphatic.

It is no.

Gaming out this news of an Iranian terror plot this week is a propagandized step towards such a war happening when the astrological aspects I described in detail in the book open the potential for conflict once again about four to five years hence. Indeed the Navy Jack takes on new symbolic significance.

The true serpent flag is also the symbol of the American Tea Party. Perhaps in 2016 there will be elected a president of the United States who is a member of that “true serpentine party”? How ironic it would be if the party that often promotes America pulling out of wars in the Middle East actually got their man or woman into the White House who then led America into its third and most disastrous war.

Another scenario would have President Obama in his second term, co-opted by a Tea Party controlled Congress who pushes him into signing on to Neo-Conservative aspirations for a war after years of negotiation with Iran went nowhere. It is a fact that Obama at present has chosen diplomacy first in his efforts to take Iran out of the nuclear arms race with Israel. However, he has left the apocalyptic door open that G.W. Bush and his Neo-Con handler, Dick Cheney, had closed in their faces by events at the end of Bush’s second term.

Occupy Wall Street Goes Global
This is not a movement of hippies, corporate media hacks and it is far bigger and more mainstream already than the Tea Party ever was. Occupy Wall Street keeps gaining momentum across the United States with polls showing 75 percent of Americans sympathetic or in full support of the movement. This weekend it spreads to “Occupy” movements across the world in Europe, Australia and Asia.

Three thousand gathered before the London stock exchange, and six thousand plan to camp, Ziccotti Park NY style, before the European Central Bank headquarter in Frankfurt. Demonstrations where held in 50 other German cities including 6,000 demonstrators in Berlin and 1,500 in Cologne. Thousands also gathered before banks and stock exchanges in Australia, South Africa, Taiwan, Hong Kong China and Tokyo Japan.

The demonstrations in the US are at last showing results politically with Secretary of Treasury and Secretary of State, Tim Geithner and Hillary Clinton sending clear signals Friday that more bank reforms are coming and must come.

On an ominous note, peaceful protests on Friday and today were eclipsed in Rome with widespread violence. The blazing cars, shattered shop, and bank glass windows of Roman streets can be the future of this movement around the world next year in 2012, because Italy is far closer to economic default. Politicians are running out of time if they do not legislate banking reforms before this peaceful global movement must get their attention by rioting.

Are Atlantic Tsunamis coming Next?

Tsunamis come in protest movements. Will they be coming as waves flooding the North Atlantic coastlines of Brazil, America and Europe? The windswept El Hierro Island in the Canary Island chain for months now has endured a significant earthquake swarm symptomatic of an imminent volcanic eruption. Unconfirmed reports of volcanic material floating off El Hierro’s coast might indicate a submarine eruption has begun.

In prehistoric times a large piece of El Hierro sloughed off into the Atlantic no doubt causing a catastrophic tsunami. The satellite photos showing a green subsea plume of a purported fissure in the island’s undersea shelf on the south side may presage an underwater landslide that might cause a tsunami, though I doubt it would generate any to match the previous monster wave that raged off its northern shore in prehistoric times.

This situation deserves watching, but some websites are practicing prophetic hyperbole by inaccurately comparing El Hierro to its larger volcanic island neighbor Las Palmas as the same, even in photos used. For now, Las Palmas is inactive, so those of you who think a 130-to-160-foot wave will crash into the US eastern seaboard eight hours after an imminent landslide are mixing your mega disaster metaphors and islands. Moreover, most of El Hierro’s tsunami energy would go south to the West African coast all the way to Antarctica, not west, if we were talking about Las Palmas.

I consulted my oracle about El Hierro. In the worst case scenario a tsunami might arise as devastating to other Canary Islands as that which flooded Japan in March of 2011. The main visitations with sporadic harbor and coastal damage like what was experienced in the Hawaiian Islands and Santa Cruz California from the Japanese tsunami would range along the sparsely populated Western Sahara southwards to the Mauritanian coast down to the city of Dakar, in Senegal.

My oracle at this point does not see a major tsunami coming out of a future eruption of El Hierro. It is much more concerned with El Hierro’s volcanism triggering a Las Palmas eruption causing half the geologically unstable, western coastal mountainside of the island to suddenly slip into the Atlantic. Such an event would be a civilization-changing catastrophe sending a tsunami up to 160 feet high roaring 4.5 miles inland over the coasts of Brazil, French Guyana, Surname, Guyana, east Venezuela, the Caribbean islands of the Lesser Antilles, and the US Atlantic seaboard!

Europe would also be hit by significant tsunamis between 16 and 23 feet high, nearly as destructive as those inundating the Honshu coastal towns and Sendai airport, would visit Ireland, Iceland, England, France and Spain. The Canary Islands and the nearby mainland coastline of southwestern Morocco and the neighboring nation of Western Sahara might witness a tsunami flood 300 feet high!

Last things first. A number of my readers this year have been asking if I wish to reverse myself on the following forecast made in Predictions for 2010, signed off on 1 November 2009: “The Israeli Netanyahu government signaled after the Hebrew New Year (Yom Kippur) that it would hold to an end-of-year deadline before considering a military option to put out the reactor fires of the Iranian nuclear program which it suspects is a front for building a nuclear arsenal to eventually match their own. President Obama himself has not taken a military option with Iran off the table…

“Will the new year bring warplanes from Israel setting fire to Iranian nuclear facilities?

“No.

“I am happy to announce some breathtaking positive news. The window for an Israeli-Iranian war has closed in 2010 and it won’t open again for the next five years.”

I am told by some of you that futurologists (those who extrapolate future events from measurable trends) believe it obvious that war between Iran and Israel is imminent. They cite Saudi Arabia granting Israel permission to use a narrow corridor of air space near its northern frontiers to send waves of jet bombers on a short and faster root to blast Iranian nuclear installations than around the Arabian Peninsula. Just last week the Egyptian government allowed two small Israeli naval vessels transit through the Suez Canal to the Red Sea. Egypt had earlier allowed an Israeli U-Boat (a German built Dolphin Class submarine) passage to and from the Persian Gulf via Suez. This U-Boat is believed to carry cruise missiles tipped with nuclear warheads. An Israeli sub off the Iranian shores of the Persian Gulf, along with surface vessels in tow with US Naval units aims to show that Israel can extend its naval reach right to Iran’s doorstep. It sends a message that at any moment Israel can launch a retaliatory nuclear strike on Iranian cities and nuclear reactors with atomic weapons Israel does not officially says it has.

Is war imminent? Has my oracle got it wrong as some of you wag in the comments sections of my blog?

Here is my answer: There will be no war between Iran and Israel before the mid-decade.

All the saber rattling, all the little flotilla posturing and certainly the air space permission of the Saudis is not something new. The Saudis regularly renew Israel’s permission to fly their warplanes over their airspace since July 2009. Secret deals by Mossad’s spy chief Meir Dagan or covert arrangements by a succession of CIA chiefs with the Saudis, Iraqis or the Turks to provide their airspace to Israeli surgical strikes on Iran have been either under discussion or secretly approved ever since the Bush administration started drawing up plans for a strike on Iran after they invaded Iraq in 2003. Though a new man sits in G.W. Bush’s seat in the Oval Office President Obama is not completely closing the door to the last administration’s Neo-Conservative strategic agenda. Plans to take Iran down have ever had bipartisan support in US Congress as far back as 1992 when Paul Wolfowitz authored and Dick Cheney edited the first essays on how American foreign policy needed to define and depose new threats from rogue regimes in a post-Soviet, post-Cold War. The idea to strike Iran was floated around in Washington long before these and other apostles of Neo-Conservatism crowded the G.W. Bush cabinet. You will find that many purveyors of Neo-Conservatism are also staunch Zionists even possessing duel citizenship. During the Bush era, Neo-Con think tanks were openly advising Washington “and” Jerusalem with their expert political and military scenarios engaging Iran.

As far back as early 2007, I published an eBook collecting many of Nostradamus’ astrological and prescient visions about a future war with Iran. (See Nostradamus Iran predictions.) I took the reader through an evolution of Neo-Con thinking from 1992 up to early 2007 detailing the intimate connection and shared intent of right wing US and right wing Zionist leaders and policy makers, attempting to forge a US foreign policy that matched the aims of Israeli foreign policy and strategic agendas. One cannot blame Israel, a small country in a hostile region, for seeking to dictate US policy. It is no different really than its chief rival, Iran, trying to influence the policy and strategic goals of Israel’s enemies surrounding her borders.

I elaborated in Nostradamus: the War with Iran that Israel has long kept at least one of its Dolphin Class submarines on station 24/7 in the Persian Gulf since 2006, after Iranian President Ahmadinejad made his notorious statement that Israel should be erased from the map of history. Moreover, though it may be news to many of you, the fact is the Saudis fear and loathe the Iranian Ayatollah regime far more than they do the right-wing Zion-supremacist regime of Netanyahu. In my eBook and blogs over the years, I have described large-scale Saudi civil defense drills regularly practiced in tandem with Israeli drills since 2005 onwards to rehearse national responses to retaliatory Iranian missile attacks after an Israeli air strike. Some of these Saudi rehearsals openly prepared fallout drills for towns and massive oil distillation facilities in the northeastern corner of the kingdom. They are thought to prepare for the eventuality that a cratered Iranian reactor dome should send plumes of radioactive clouds across the Persian Gulf from the nearby Iranian nuclear facility at Brushehr, scheduled for activation in the summer of 2010.

Let me make this clear, Israeli demonstrations of planes, vessels in Suez shipping lanes and Dolphin submarine cruise missile nukes on auto mobile launch command mode does not construe imminent war. These actions are a kind of “language”, albeit brinkman bunt, directed at Iran’s regime to contain it in a regional Iranian-Israeli Cold War. The Egyptians have a treaty with Israel for decades granting them access to the Suez Canal as long as their warships do not strike Egypt. Egypt’s Sunni Muslim population and Sunni President Mubarak is no friend of Shiite Persians constructing a nuclear arsenal. Neither are the Saudis. Granting Israel attack jets passage through their airspace sends a strong signal to the Iranian regime to forego further work on their nuclear weapons program because the Shiite Persian Muslim missiles pointed at a Jewish State will just as easily be pointed at Sunni Arab states requiring the Saudis saddle up their own nuclear weapons program to deter Iran.

Iran’s nuclear weapon aspirations mind you are more bluff than solid fact. Meir Dagan, head of Mossad since 2002, has stated clearly in early 2009 his belief that Iran will not have the means to build and deliver an atomic bomb until the middle of this decade.

President Obama is not seeking the military option just yet and will continue pressuring sanctions and tacit support of Saudi and Israeli demonstrations of strength. Unless the Netanyahu regime has lost its marbles and are aiming to take out the reactor at Bushehr before it goes online later this summer, this could not be a worse time to unilaterally strike Iran. Relations with Israel’s best regional friend, Turkey, are on the rocks because of a heavy-handed suppression of blockade-runners into Gaza this June. Israel’s alliance with the United States is not in good shape. It is time to mend bridges with Israel’s only real superpower friend in the world, not burn them further with a Bushehr military blunder.

One reads in Israeli newspapers a growing call to war against Iran and in some cases there are Zionist zealots openly writing that Israel striking Iran and thus becoming isolated from support by the rest of the world fulfills prophecies concerning the advent of the Jewish messiah, thus worldwide repudiation as a militant pariah is happily lobbied.

Prime Minister Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Lieberman might sympathize with such extreme views of Jewish eschatology but I do not think they are stupid enough to go it alone solely on anticipated divine approval or invitation of messianic advent. (See more about prophecies of a Jewish messiah). The Israelis will give Obama time because they have no other option short of going to war without US support. They will wait to see if a more sympathetic and hawkish Republican will unseat Democrat Obama in 2012. They know as I know that is a long shot. Mossad and the Netanyahu regime believe Obama will tire of diplomatic efforts sometime in his second term after years of getting nowhere. Then Israel will get the green light to strike Iran just before it becomes capable of constructing a workable warhead by mid-decade. They might not need jets by that time. I see the walls of Iranian reactors falling in a rain of Jericho III ballistic missiles.

The basis for this mid-decade time window relies on an interpretation of Nostradamus’ clearly defined astrological window for war with Iran.

In Nostradamus: The War with Iran, the time for possible air strikes has many astrological references. One of these suggests in Century 4 Quatrain 67, that:

L’an que Saturne & Mars esgaux combust,
L’air fort seiché, longue traiection:
Par feux secrets, d’ardeur grand lieu adust
Peu pluye, vent chault, guerres, incursions.

In the year when Saturn and Mars are equally fiery,
The air is very dry, a long comet:
From hidden fires a great place burns with heat,
Little rain, hot wind, wars and raids.

The Latin combustus adds apocalyptic nuance to the old French combust. That which is equally fiery equally burns, consumes, ruins and destroys equally two aggressors — perhaps Israel and Iran in a future war. The old French traiection is from the Latin trajectio: describing a shooting star, meteor, or a comet. A missile in modern terms. Hidden fires inside Israeli nuclear warheads on Jericho III ballistic missiles or on cruise missiles launched by Dolphin Class submarines burn the far larger target, Iran (great place) with atomic heat. The Latin adustus specifically means burned or scorched by the sun from the French incursions. In other words, raids, surprise attacks or offensives. This not only implies a surprise Pear Harbor-like strike coming from Israel but also in modern terms an Iranian backed terrorist attack using either a radiological dirty or an atomic weapon on Tel Aviv warranting Israel’s full retaliatory strike of biblical proportions. (Think Amalek.)

Nostradamus loved double entendre so we cannot rule out his describing a future time indicating global climate warming so extreme in such marginally arable regions like the Middle East that war comes from regional disputes over water rights. Even the Book of Revelation (Chapter 9, verses 14-15) describes the final battle of Armageddon taking place when the Euphrates River dries up. Currently water flow in the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers falls inexorably towards critical levels through Syria and Iraq because Turkey dams their headwaters to quench the thirst of its own growing water needs. I have been warning about the threat of Armageddon when the waters dry, since 1990, see Millennium Prophecies. Such a collapse of Middle Eastern river systems or further overuse of the Jordan River by Israel and Jordan, or Palestinians and Jews exhausting the West Bank aquifers, could make climate change related wars there just a few years ahead. The 2020s will certainly see its share of resource and climate change wars when Uranus begins a long earth-and-civilization shaking transit of Taurus whilst Pluto shifts its generational upheavals by 2024 to violent and sudden revolution at the beginning of a long, 20-year transit through the sign of Aquarius.

The most important element of Nostradamus’ prophecy is the astrological dating suggested in line one: “In the year when Saturn and Mars are equally fiery.” That means the two planets are in fire signs, preferably the same fire signs. The aspect was active during a window for war that closed when Saturn finished its transit in the fire sign of Leo in September 2007.

Three years ago I explained on page 123 of Nostradamus: The War with Iran, the next time war threatens Iran when Mars and Saturn are “equally fiery”:

“Mars will enter Leo when Saturn is in Sagittarius on far off September 2015. They will not share the same fire sign until the following year. Retrogrades of both planets make for the next rare and unusually magnified interlude of equal fire signs of war from March through May 2015 and again from August through September 2016. It is possible the scenarios of war with Iran written in this book in the spring of 2007 may better reflect a US-Iranian conflict joined in battle nearly a decade from now.”

Now to first things last…Mabus

The other stir of excitement among Nostradamus prophecy watchers last week was President Obama appointing his current Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus to head the commission looking into what went wrong causing the BP Deepwater Horizon rig fire, sinking and catastrophic oil spill. He is said to become the “Gulf Czar” responsible for the oil slick cleanup and restoration of the US Gulf of Mexico coastline, fisheries and tourist industries. Once again, this capable former governor of Mississippi and able US ambassador to Saudi Arabia rises into the limelight of public attention begging for a prophetic explanation. Ray Mabus just so happens to have a surname that is an exact match for the one Nostradamus uses to mask the name of his foreseen third and final Antichrist. (For more about the first and the second, see Antichrist.)

The night I appeared on Coast to Coast AM last Wednesday (16 June 2010) was alive with questions about Mabus’ appointment, causing host George Noory and me to spend the bulk of the second hour of three discussing what the appointment of Secretary Mabus to Gulf Czar Mabus might foretell.

Here again is the famous Nostradamus prophecy from Century 2 Quatrain 62:

Mabus puis tost alors mourra, viendra,
De gens & bestes vne horrible defaite:
Puis tout à coup la vengeance on verra,
Cent, main, soif, faim, quand courra la comete.

Mabus very soon then will die, [then] will come,
A horrible undoing of people and animals,
At once one will see vengeance,
One hundred powers, thirst, famine, when the comet will pass.

I will share this with you today. Whoever Mabus is, whether his true name hides in the right decoding of the anagram Mabus or if he is an actual man named “Mabus”, what follows in the quatrain are the consequences hatching out from his death: an unraveling of the world of people and animals. Global droughts and famines, a war of a hundred nations when a comet marks his passing or a comet-like missile falls from the sky launching the third world war.

Quatrain 77 of Century 8 takes up the story adding more details about Mabus as the Third Antichrist, the link being that Mabus, like 8 Q77′s Third Antichrist are soon and early on annihilated causing apocalyptic consequences:

L’antechrist trois bien tost annichiliez,
Vingt & sept ans sang durera sa guerre:
Les heretiques morts, captifs, exilez,
Sang corps humain eau rogie gresler terre.

The Third Antichrist very soon annihilated,
Twenty-seven years his bloody war will last.
The heretics [are] dead, captives exiled,
Blood-soaked human bodies, and a reddened, icy hail covering the earth.

It is a heavy trip to unload on a man the label Antichrist who may by freak coincidence appear to be named outright by Nostradamus in a prophecy written over 4.5 centuries ago. It is not surprising therefore, that Ray Mabus first came to my attention in the mid-1990s when President Clinton picked him to be his ambassador to Saudi Arabia. No wonder many readers wrote me about the appointment. A guy named Mabus posted to the Middle East — the very region from which many believed the Third Antichrist either is born or to which he enters from the West. One then anticipates his fall through assassination as first casualty in a 27-year war, causing an unraveling or collapse of civilization and of ecological balance (a horrible undoing of people and animals).

Back in 1995, I answered those many letters with the following statement in Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies (published in 1997). “At this time I don’t sense anything malevolent about the ambassador, but this gives me the opportunity to look at yet another angle to the Mabus enigma. The ambassador may not be the Antichrist but a victim of such. Since the November 1995 car bombing of a US-run military training facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has ended its long exclusion from terrorist acts. From now on Ambassador Mabus has a dangerous assignment and I wish him well. I would not like to see him become the target of a future Gavrilo Princip and have his assassination trigger World War III.”

The best-laid names in Antichrist detective work can go nowhere. By the time the book was finally published with my observations, Ambassador Mabus had left Saudi Arabia without fanfare or prophetic significance, retiring from public service in 1996. Yet a decade later, he came back to my attention in late 2007 as Senator Barack Obama’s unpaid expert on Arab, Middle Eastern relations as well as the head of Obama’s Democratic primary campaign in Mississippi in 2008.

At that time I made the following prediction in my eBook Nostradamus and the Antichrist, Code Named MABUS: “If Obama wins the presidency, the handsome and engaging Raymond Edwin Mabus may serve in his cabinet. Perhaps he will return as some special envoy to the Middle East and start doomsday tongues to wag about the return of the man who is Mabus to the region of the Third Antichrist.”

President Obama rewarded Ray Mabus with the cabinet level post of Secretary of the US Navy. Though not yet a special envoy in name to the Middle East, Mabus at present oversees 900,000 US Navy and Marine service personnel, a majority of which have been deployed to the Middle East. Mabus has frequently returned to that theater. Moreover, Obama has made him a special envoy for the Gulf Region’s recovery once (if) the BP oil spill gushing a volcanic flood of between 60,000 to what some now believe is 100,000 barrels of oil a day is plugged. It is doubtful to me that he can fulfill both jobs effectively at once and we may be seeing the able Secretary Mabus suffer in his work from yet another botched executive decision from a charming president who has come to his destiny too soon with hardly any tested executive skills prior to his election in 2008.

rsonally do not believe Secretary Mabus is the Antichrist. I think the name is a code hiding the real name of one Nostradamus intended. Still, as a scholar of prophecy, I must look beyond my own personal feelings and paint a larger prophetic picture. As you will find out by reading my eBook on Nostradamus’ Antichrist prophecies, they are clues to a mystery with many leads heavily pointing to someone from the Middle East as prime candidate. Moreover, I explain a possibility never before published. Nostradamus may have been confused by what he saw while entranced. Mabus and the Third Antichrist may be two different people in a destined collision. Not only does Ray Mabus have his name but Barack Obama’s surname easily code crunches out of Mabus if it is an anagram, as the book demonstrates. So also does his chief jihadist nemesis, Usama bin Laden.

Osama versus Obama, the latter of which has special envoy to the Gulf and Secretary of a heavily engaged Navy in the Middle East named Mabus. It is enough to confuse and misread the signs of any augury.

Indeed Ray Mabus, a physically fit and mentally sharp man in his early 60s may someday become a president of the United States. Anything is possible in this decade defined by Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in explosive Aries transits. I personally do not consider him an Antichrist figure, but he keeps coming back into view and now in his most significant, worldwide-scrutinized role to date. The prophecies of Nostradamus focus on key events and people that can change the course of destiny. I will and I think all Nostradamus watchers will have to regard the progress of Raymond Edwin Mabus more closely than ever before in the coming years.

I just want to be clear that this first comment from Michael Mitrosky and my response is from September 2007. I’m encouraged that he feels, at least for himself, that I am that interpreter; however, I think we have nearly a half-century to wait and judge whether my work cuts the presaging muster as delineated in Century 3 Quatrain 94. (See the blog archives for Heirs to Nostradamus 1 and 2.). The body of John Mitrosky’s letter dwells on the Bush Administration. At that time, Bush and especially his Vice President — Cheney — were seriously contemplating and trying to somehow initiate a war with Iran. John Mitrosky is commenting about the following digital book I wrote in early 2007 about all the possible future US-Israeli-Iranian war scenarios. See in Nostradamus Iran. He specifically comments on an important and still active scenario for 2009, which along with the Israeli strike, is described in the chapter “Black Flags of Our Martyrs spreading West” as Iran’s martyr option.

You, Mr. John Hogue are the present heir to Nostradamus. There are 3 important reasons for my conclusion: (1) you are open-minded; (2) you lack arrogance and conceit; and finally, (3) you focus on why Nostradamus is important today. This third point is the crux of the matter. You rightly show that Nostradamus’ description of a war between the West/Israel and terrorists backed by Iran is the heart of Nostradamus’ message for us today. It is a double-edged sword. You reveal the stupidity of attacking Iran on the one hand, but on the other hand, it would not surprise me if right-wing Neo-Con think tanks were using your e-book on Iran to justify attacking now, before Iran takes over Iraq completely, or obtains nuclear weapons. My own feeling is that Iran will continue to try to dominate Iraq, but she will never attack first in an overt manner. Iran wants to play the martyr’s role. Iran wants to be seen in the Arab world as retaliating for aggression perpetrated against her, not starting aggression. If the West/Israel falls into this trap, then Nostradamus’ outline for the saddest, WMD, MAD war will surely come to pass. You spell out the consequences as Nostradamus saw them. You have the power and responsibility to promote your e-book to those in the West/Israel who might start this war. You must try to get them to listen!

A strange opportunity has been granted to me by the information revolution. I know that all factions in the current world war of international terrorism vs. counter-terrorism read my work. From Langley Virginia to Islamabad, from Jerusalem to Teheran, from Washington DC to Moscow, my observations about Nostradamus and prophecy are read and examined.

When I discovered that those working for President Bush and bin Laden read my work, it brought a sobering responsibility. There are also many good people around the world either working quietly inside their regimes to make changes for the better who read my work and the work of others. I’m trying to submit between the lines solutions to a number of prophetically anticipated crises, or at least, dispense to those on opposite sides of an issue reasons perhaps why we all are programmed to stagger unconsciously from one crisis to the next.

I promise you, John, that I will go on with this work to effect some small part of a more positive future destiny coming for the human race. There is so much to write about that coming new human being. At this stage of the work my writing is dominated with what is wrong or about to go wrong with human destiny and why. In the next two years [2007-2009] as the global crisis of civilization sustainability becomes at last a mainstream concern, my writing will shift more and more to offer solutions to the syndrome of conditioning that has turned human beings into functional robots that repeat the tragedies of history.

Soon, I will provide a permanent bulletin linked on the sidebar of every page of my web site that will speak of Osho’s fascinating prophecy from 1982 called The Noah’s Ark of Consciousness. This article will be the first comprehensive invitation to try techniques from the science of self-observation that I have practiced since 1980. If I have insight, if there is anything that deserves your kind endorsement as an heir of Nostradamus, it was born out of practicing these meditation techniques.”

UPDATE–MAY 2009:
It is mid-May 2009, one year and eight months have passed since I wrote my reply. The mainstream mindset is coming around about recognizing many varied dimensions of crises about sustaining our civilization into an ever more ominous looking second decade of the 21st century. We have a new president that at least in words might soon follow them with deeds that change the human course in history for the better.

I have not been able to set up my Noah’s Ark of Consciousness page until more financial support can pay for it. Nevertheless, on this blog page I have planned a number of new prophecies series coming for the rest of 2009. These will look deeper into the mechanics of predictability that prevent human beings from growing into their full potential and enjoying a golden future. I am feverishly building a stock of 50 articles for posting through the rest of spring to the summer. Many of them speak at length about this coming new humanity and how we can give birth to it right here, right now. I need the stock of articles so I can direct my attention to writing my next digital book on the future of Barack Obama.

The date of 6 June 2008, which saw the Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Shaoul Mofaz openly threaten Iran with war, is sandwiched between two other significant Israeli anniversaries.  June 5 was the 41st anniversary of Israel’s overwhelming surprise air strikes destroying the air forces of Egypt, Syria and Jordan launching the Six Day War — Israel’s most sweeping victory to date, a preemptive war fought to surprise and destroy Arab invasion forces gathering on its borders. In six days, the Israeli Defense Force occupied the Syrian Golan Heights, the Jordanian West Bank territories, the Gaza Strip and the Egyptian Sinai region up to the Suez Canal – including the fabled Mt. Sinai, where it is said Moses delivered Yahweh’s Ten Commandments to His Chosen People, the Hebrews.

The day after 6 June 2008 marks the 27-year anniversary of Israeli jet bombers obliterating Osirak, the name of a French-built nuclear test reactor built outside of Baghdad, on 7 June 1981 before it came online. Saddam Hussein had intended it to provide enough uranium to build twelve atomic bombs to use on Israel.

Few in the Middle East would overlook the symbolic timing. Shaoul Mofaz made his formal speech on a Friday, the Islamic Sabbath. Some might also recall the date as the anniversary of the Allied beach landings on   Normandy — D-Day, “decision” day — 64 years before.

The Israeli Cabinet certainly had decided something Friday, 6 June 2008, and what Mofaz said made oil prices make an unheard of jump of 11 dollars in a single day to sit at just under $140 a barrel. The US Stock Exchange plummeted nearly 400 points.

“Other options [other than war] are disappearing,” explained Mofaz. “The sanctions are not effective. There will be no alternative but to attack Iran in order to stop the Iranian nuclear program.”

A year ago (June 2007), I made the following prediction on page 112 of my digital book Nostradamus the War with Iran (click on  Nostradamus Iran) based on my study of the 16th-century French prophet. I wrote the following prophecy in a satirical tone playing holy Neo-Con roller and morale booster to those Neo-Conservative hawks disappointed with the less-than-satisfactory performance of their man in the White House, G.W. Bush, concerning their plans to democratize Iran by conquest and preemptive military action while time for their hold on the White House was running out. A Neo-Con plan, I might add, that has been in the works since they published their first manifesto in 1992, with the current Vice President and number one war hawk, Dick Cheney’s editorial help. The brackets are inserted for clarity:

We [Neo-Cons] have the faith in our plans, that even adversity cannot stop us from punishing Iran…

Fear not!

God bless Israel!

She will [attack Iran] if we at first cannot. Israel upon the wings of her heroic airmen will strike down Iran’s nuclear installations at Arak, Natanz and Esfahan. Our President [Bush] will make Americans come to their aid when Iran counterattacks and there will be nary a Democrat in Congress who will dare public scandal and bear the label “anti-Semite” by voting not to aid Israel in her greatest hour of need.

In January 2008, I posted the following prediction on page 52 of my digital book Predictions for 2008:

Israel will attack Iran in spring of 2008 at the earliest. Perhaps around Shavuot, a Hebrew celebration held in late May to early June each year. It marks the time after the Hebrews were liberated from Pharaoh when Moses gave the Torah to the Jewish people at Mount Sinai and they dedicated themselves as a nation committed to serving Yehovah, their God. In the history of the modern Jewish State, military strikes on perceived enemies of Israel have often happened on or around Shavuot, 50 days after Passover.

…The chess table is set. If Israel strikes Iran in 2008, America will be forced – accidentally on purpose – into the war. Unless the Iranians play possum and don’t counterattack Israel with their missiles. Overnight this crisis changes the gestalt of the US presidential campaigns.

…The next president will adopt Bush’s wars. They will become Hillary’s wars…Obama’s Wars…

There will be more US forces in the Middle East, South and Southwest Asia in the next president’s term than during the Bush era.

On this current celebration of Shavuot, it would seem the Israeli Deputy Prime Minister is adding an eleventh commandment to the ten brought down by Moses from Sinai:

Thou shall not make atomic weapons unless thou art an Israeli

It is the biggest open secret in the Middle East that Israel possesses between 200 to 500 nuclear weapons. In part, the arms race Israel dreads is a red dragon from the East, from Iran, she has in part conceived by being the first Middle Eastern nation to burden and threaten the region with nuclear weapons of mass destruction. The karma of making dreadful weapons first, brings the karma of a dreadful arms race. In a way, Israel has created the monster nuclear program she now threatens to destroy in Iran, because it has an overwhelming arsenal and there are no deterrents. Her enemies must go nuclear to bring balance to a deadly thing the descendants of the Hebrews have brought into the Holy Land.

Mars and the scepter (of Jupiter) will meet in conjunction,
A calamitous war under Cancer.

In brief, I concluded that a rare clustering of Mars and Jupiter conjunctions during the selling of the Iraq war to the world by the Bush Administration in 2002 and further appearances during the time of intense secret planning for a war with Iran later in 2004 and 2006, designated calamitous war forewarned by Nostradamus for our times. Line two decodes further astrological clues if you switch the word “war” for its ruler “Mars”:

A calamitous (Mars) under Cancer
(birth sign of America and President G.W. Bush).

Both the nation and its current president were born EXACTLY with the Sun 13 degrees in Cancer. If ever there was a sign for a coming calamitous “Bush war” in the “Muddle” East, this is the one.

Ever since 1960, America has planned botched wars (Vietnam) and blundered into military disasters when the planet Mars passed into Cancer in conjunction with America’s natal Sun sign: the CIA’s Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba (1961), the Cuban Missile Crisis (1962), and the Gulf of Tonkin Incident (1964). The latter led to Vietnam and America losing a war for the first time in its history.

In our times, Bush forged and sold a plan to invade Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction that did not, in fact, exist when Mars moved through Cancer in May through July of 2002.

On 5 March 2008, Mars passed into Cancer for its last transit during a Bush presidency. If bellicose blunder were a thing of evil star signs, the window for a US calamitous war opens widest until Mars moves out of Cancer by 9 May 2008. When the Cancerian President under a Mars transit cashiers Admiral Fallon, commander of Central Command, overseeing the Persian Gulf — a vocal critic of the US military option against Iran — I begin wondering if this is not a portent that the Iran war option is on the table once again. The most ardent proponent for war is Vice President Dick Cheney. His “Caesar” sends him a day after the Ides of March to the Middle East. On 16 March, Cheney will shuttle to secret meetings with leaders of Israel, Saudi Arabia and Arab Gulf states.

A bland Bush told the press the VP is on a diplomatic mission to push the Israeli-Palestinian peace process forward and reassure Arab oil kings and sheiks. I believe something more is hiding under the president’s mask.

What I said in late 2007 bears review:

Bush’s birth chart has Saturn in Cancer in the 12th house. This house rules the subconscious mind, unconscious emotional blocks and mental patterns… The 12th house shows an individual where his spiritual awareness is needed to transcend illusions of his ego…

…President Bush’s Saturn in Cancer is in its detriment. The ruler of karma and reality checks for invisible enemies, unconscious motivations — delusions, talking to God, etc. — is also negatively squared Bush’s planet for expansion of his mind, such as Jupiter. His Sun in the 12th House…square with Neptune — the sign of messianic self-delusions. He should NEVER listen to his gut, or to voices from above until he acquires more self-awareness about his mind…

Mars in Cancer will pass over the president’s natal Saturn in the first week of May 2008. If war has not happened by then, I intuit that the president with his aspects magnified by Mars will be quite angry and frustrated with Iran and with those at home in Congress including a majority of the American people for not supporting his great plans. What must he do, become a dictator to get things done?! He is going to be one very ornery cuss. He could explode. The delusional voice of God in his hot noggin will rage and lust for divine retribution against [Iran]. Really, if there ever was a time in the long presidency of George W. Bush when a chief executive can make an altogether rash and psychotic decision to unilaterally go to war, May 2008 is it!

Back in 1994, the then former Secretary of Defense for Bush the Elder’s administration in a video taped interview for The American Enterprise Institute, the core Neo-Con think tank in Washington D.C., was asked why the US did not invade and overthrow Saddam Hussein’s Iraq after routing his forces out of Kuwait during the Gulf War of 1991. We had a half-million boots on the ground, thousands of jets and tanks on call for a quickie Blitzkrieg up Saddam’s Euphrates all the way to his Baghdad. A growing chorus of Monday-morning quarterback historians by 1994 were calling the decision not to advance into Iraq a missed opportunity to kick Saddam Hussein entirely out of power while he was prostrate on the ground.

The interviewer asked Cheney if he thought the US and UN forces should have moved into Baghdad at the end of the Gulf War, to which Cheney answered with an emphatic, “No.”

This was a younger Dick answering, one who apparently still had the 20 percent blood flow to the brain he later lost by the time six years hence when he was Vice President of the next Bush-the-Junior administration. In the “mean” time of premature aging, Cheney’s geo-political perception had felt the pinch of multiple heart attacks, clogged and stint stretched arteries sending a more meager pace-maker rationing of red-blooded rationality to refresh his brilliant brain. Back in 1994, with that extra blood flow pumping, Dick Cheney peered into the future with a clarity and foresight that the current V.P. had long lost.

Here is his startling prophecy made nine years before today’s Dick Cheney in 2003, strangely divorced from prophetic insight, played war hawk-in-chief ramrodding the idea of a precipitous invasion of Iraq, completely mindless to the dangers he had foreseen when he expressed in breathtaking detail what would be the disastrous result of such an invasion. Moreover, there are elements in this transcript that reach ahead as prophecy to be fulfilled in our near future.

Cheney began by explaining in 1994 why he was against an invasion of Iraq at the end of the Gulf War:

“Because if we’d gone to Baghdad we would have been all alone. There wouldn’t have been anybody else with us. There would have been a U.S. occupation of Iraq. None of the Arab forces that were willing to fight with us in Kuwait were willing to invade Iraq.”

As it turned out American went in virtually alone in 2003, without any former Arab allies sending their sons alongside US troops as they did in the Gulf War. Except for a few Western allies like the United Kingdom and some token contingents who have since nearly all departed, America has taken most of the burden occupying Iraq since 2003. There is now a record number of US troops, 171,000, in Iraq. This does not officially include what could be many thousands more Americans fighting as mercenaries or privatized support troops for Pentagon hired security firms. All the remaining allies in the “Coalition of the Willing,” including the British and Australian contingents, number under 10,000. It is virtually an American occupation of Iraq.

Cheney continued:

“Once you got to Iraq and took it over, took down Saddam Hussein’s government, then what are you going to put in its place? That’s a very volatile part of the world, and if you take down the central government of Iraq, you could very easily end up seeing pieces of Iraq fly off: part of it, the Syrians would like to have to the west, part of it — eastern Iraq — the Iranians would like to claim, they fought over it for eight years. In the north you’ve got the Kurds, and if the Kurds spin loose and join with the Kurds in Turkey, then you threaten the territorial integrity of Turkey.”

The Dick Cheney who foresaw this eventuality of imminent breakup of Iraq once Saddam Hussein’s regime had been destroyed knew it would lead to the breakup of Iraq on sectarian and ethnic lines. The Syrians “are” aiding and abetting Sunni insurrectionists crossing their border into the Sunni Triangle of western Iraq with perhaps the long-term goal of absorbing that area into a Greater Syria. The Shia southern Iraq “has” become an active satellite of Iranian hegemony in the Middle East.

What Dick Cheney foresaw in 1994 about Kurdistan is a prophecy in progress. Right now, Turkey marshals an army of 230,000 along its borders with Iraqi Kurdistan and is poised to invade at any time principally motivated out of the fears Cheney defined, that an autonomous or completely independent Kurdistan in Iraq would spread the hot passions of secession to the largest Kurdish population in the Middle East living in southeastern Turkey. Turkish forces could go to war with Iraqi Kurds to preserve their country’s territorial integrity if a whole third of Turkey populated by Kurds might break away — pan-Serbian style — to unite with Iraqi Kurds. Cheney in 1994 imagined the same scenario for the Middle East that beset the Balkans at that time after the breakup of Yugoslavia.

That Cheney’s prophetic eye reaches into our near future: a breakup in Iraq, possibly dragging Turkey into the balkanization of Mesopotamia could come as soon as next year.

A younger Cheney continued predicting from 1994 using the “Q” word that the current Vice President Cheney is loathed to cogitate or press nerve to lips to form:

“It’s a quagmire if you go that far [invade, occupy] and try to take over Iraq.”

What the elder Cheney later predicted in 2003 about easy invasions with downsized forces, of a people rushing into the streets showering flowers upon Americans as liberators, etc., sound like auguries of damaged blood starved synapses. He had become another man by 2003 completely cut off from the man who closed his prophecy nine years before correctly presaging the unsustainable cost of occupying Iraq:

“The other thing was casualties. Everyone was impressed with the fact we were able to do our job [in the Gulf War] with as few casualties as we had. But for the 146 Americans killed in action, and for their families — it wasn’t a cheap war. And the question for the president, in terms of whether or not we went on to Baghdad, took additional casualties in an effort to get Saddam Hussein, was how many additional dead Americans is Saddam worth

“Our judgment was, not very many, and I think we got it right.”

Those were the days when Dick Cheney basked in the full capacity and light of his geo-political genius. He did get it right in the Gulf War of 1991. That genius, by the time of his Vice Presidency and the invasion of Iraq, had faded like the hue of US flags left too long on the graves of over 3,700-and-counting US soldiers, nearly 1,000 American mercenaries and contract workers. The light has thinned down and not recovered its brightness like the vitality of over 27,000 wounded and crippled US soldiers and 7,000 mercenaries and contract laborers. The mind of earlier foresight is a broken thing in today’s Dick Cheney, as impaired as one-in-five minds of returning service men and women enduring too many tours of duty in Iraq now plagued with psychological wounds. Their post traumatic stress disorder is in part the result of Dick Cheney’s “Post Prophetic Stress Disorder” when by 2003 he had lost his grip on cautious prescience.

It is the sense of Congress that–

1) the murder of members of the United States Armed Forces by a foreign government or its agents is an intolerable and unacceptable act of hostility against the United States by the foreign government in question; and

(2) the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran must take immediate action to end all training, arming, equipping, funding, advising, and any other forms of support that it or its agents are providing, and have provided, to Iraqi militias and insurgents, who are contributing to the destabilization of Iraq and are responsible for the murder of members of the United States Armed Forces.

Neo-Conservatives in the Bush Administration achieve strategic goals through back door deliberations. For instance, who needs a military draft to fill the gaps in IED blasted ranks of the Army and Marines in Iraq? The Bush Administration hawks seek a “clause” that “effects” reinforcement of their forces without conscription. Just bend the interpretation or magnify fine printed clauses in the military contracts full-time and part time reserve soldiers signed. Make them indentured warriors redeployed to Iraq for three, four even five year-long tours of duty in what critics call a “back door draft.”

Now legislative slight of voting hands opens the back door for a war with Iran. No need to face a frontal attack in a now anti-war Democrat controlled Congress that might rescind the wide-ranging presidential powers to make war, granted back in October 2002. No myth of weapons of mass destruction is needed. Try a new myth, Mr. President and Mr. Vice President in Chief, one that even a majority of liberal Democrats can thump their chests about, as they are want to do in their habitual and effusive bouts of fury on the floors of the Senate and House signifying little action or the summoning of spine. Make strange bedfellows out of right and left-wing Senators using your most sympathetic former-democrat, now independent, Senator as your point Lieber man — your number one Zionist lobbyist in the Senate — to sell a myth behind closed doors that Iran is capable of making crude nuclear weapons by the end of 2007 and therefore must be bombed. This time you don’t need cooked up, sexed up and cherry picked Western intelligence, rather, you let the Israeli version of Neo-Cons, the Zionist war hawks of the Knesset, serve up a spicy falafel of phony conclusions based on a lose play with the facts gleaned from espionage inside Iran by Mossad, the Israeli CIA. Make it sound like Iran is as imminent a threat to its neighbors and the US in 2007 as Iraq was supposed to have been in 2003.

There is more temptation to believe the new myth. Iran has no friends among the Democrat Senate and House legislators. Their Islamic Revolutionary regime took down their Democratic President Carter in the late seventies because of the US Embassy hostage crisis. Desires to settle old scores ring louder in the emotional body of US legislators than the still, calm voice of reason or the buzz-killing dampener of fact. The fact is that Iran’s nuclear program is behind schedule, not marching bravely forward. The IAEA and other sources reporting without a Neo-Conservative, Zionist or liberal leaning will to revenge, describe an Iranian program that frequently falters. The forest of centrifuges near Esfahan set to make the uranium necessary for potentially weapon’s grade material often crack apart from the strain. Russia has an ongoing money payment dispute with Iran that has slowed progress on completing the nuclear power plant in Natanz. Iran may be a decade away from building even one atom bomb threatening Israel — the same Israel that today has an estimated 200 to 500 atomic and thermonuclear warheads in its doomsday arsenal. The same Israel that even today stations two of its fleet of three Dolphin Class attack submarines off the coast of Iran capable of launching nuclear missiles on Teheran and Iranian nuclear installations in minutes.

If Iran could even make a crude dirty bomb by the end of this year, and detonate it inside a hijacked jet airliner flying over downtown Tel Aviv, Iran in less than an hour would cease to exist. The biblical fires would descend from the skies in the form of an Israeli nuclear counterstrike that would render Iran into a wasteland of black irradiated ash and sackcloth. To attack Israel would be suicide.

So much for reason. Myth rules the minds and hearts of the US House and Senate.

Just one amendment offered by Senator Joe Lieberman, to the military budget bill for fiscal 2008, passed 97 to 0 by the US Senate and a similar motion passed with more than a two-third majority of the Congress in the third week of July 2007. Now the president has been given a bipartisan casus belli — a thing of official, congressional record. He can now step over the dead body of a debate over his war powers granted in 2002 and cite as grounds for war with Iran the Congressional record quoted above. It is now enough to turn a proxy war into a full frontal attack on Iran because its Revolutionary al-Quds brigade trains and arms those who kill American soldiers in Iraq. Of course, American Special Forces arming and aiding their own proxies have been fighting a clandestine war in Iran for the US, crashing planes, and blowing up civilians with car bombs since 2005. CNN the “most trusted” news in town will not talk about that if their editorial handlers can help it.

We are approaching the last act of a Neo-Con job conceived as far back as 1992, to take Iraq and Iran down if only a puppet president of their choice who they could influence could occupy the White House.

Perhaps Nostradamus foresaw the plot. He called it a “Horrible War prepared by the West.” He used astrological signs to narrow in on the time window for when panning reached its peak — between April 2002 and October 2004. The window ended just a few months before the first special ops attacks and bombings inside Iran, which in turn led to a dramatic influx of Iranian weapons, IEDs and trainers infiltrating Iraq.

There will be no opposition when Bush widens his war, failing forward into Iran.

In the introduction we learned that his prophecy’s list of planets could date a conjunction under the sun sign of France’s modern republic, which is Libra. The conjunction of these planets started September 29, until 16 October 2004. It might not now be relevant in timing plans hatched for war in Act One: Iraq, but what about for Act Two: Iran?

Then there is Nostradamus’ next time frame:

If we recall, Mars and Jupiter conjoin closely before, after and on the time window forecast in 9 Q55: April 2002, September-October 2004, and December 2006. I believe Nostradamus is using astrology to mark a trail to plots of Neo-Cons in time…

… A desire to forge a war plan for Iran is as old as the first [leaked] manifesto from 1992. What do Nostradamus’ astrological clues reveal about what was schemed for Iran running up from April 2002, peaking through September-October 2004 and cranking ahead into action by December 2006? It must be pointed out that astrological calculations made roughly 450 years ago do not exactly pinpoint events coinciding with the specific time of the conjunctions. The influence builds a few months before and after them. A swarm of predicted dates may contain a time frame of a few years. With that in mind, let us check out a timeline of evidence uncovered about how the Bush Administration had evolved war plans for Iran before, during and after their scheduled push on Iraq. 29 January 2002: Bush’s defines Iran as part of “The Axis of Evil” in his State of the Union Address.

April 2002:
“Mars and the scepter (of Jupiter) will meet in conjunction. A calamitous war under Cancer (astrological sign of the US president and nation).“ [Nostradamus, 6 Q24]

14 April 2002: President Bush invites the then Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon to a summit at the White House. Danny Ayalon, Israeli Ambassador to the US, sat in numerous meetings with the former prime minister, said to Jerusalem Post that Sharon lobbied Bush hard in 2002 about Saddam being an imminent threat to Israel, citing the 39 scud missiles that rained down on his country from the Gulf War. The fact that those missile arsenals had been pretty much scrapped since 1991 by UN weapons inspectors did not factor in the talks. Sharon pressed Bush to attack. Ayalon said he had great influence over the younger man. He did not mention if that influence included plans for an attack on Iran, at that time …

April 2004:

April 2004: Ariel Sharon meets President Bush once again at the White House. Ayalon notes a greater urgency coming from the prime minister to do something about the growing threat of Iran to Israel’s safety, a threat he carefully adds that had only increased because the Iraqi borders to Iran remained porous.

May 2004: the US White House issued a secret National Security Presidential Directive (NSPD) 35. It worked out the logistics for deploying tactical nuclear weapons in the Middle East region pursuant to acting on what the Washington Post brought to light was a US strategic Command contingency plan called CONPLAN 8022-02. They drew up this plan in early 2004. It allows for preemptive attacks on “imminent” threats from rogue countries such as North Korea and Iran. December 2006: Seymour Hersh surfaces again with another eye-opening report for the New Yorker that “the US and Israel began working together to support incursions into Iranian territory by the Kurdish rebel group Party for Free Life in Kurdistan (PJAK) starting six months before [April 2006]. Because these operations are carried out by US Special Forces and not the CIA, the administration is not required to brief Congress.” (RawStory.com)

30 December 2006: retired General Oded Tira, former head of all Israeli artillery units — including those three battalions of 175-mm guns that can lob tactical nuclear shells, gave the following admonishment in Israeli newspapers: “As an American airstrike in Iran is essential for our existence, we must help [Bush] pave the way by lobbying the Democratic Party [which is conducting itself foolishly] and US newspaper editors. We need to do this in order to turn the Iranian issue into a bipartisan one and unrelated to the Iraq failure.”

It is important to recall the assertion Mossad experts made to the Bush administration about Iran having the know how by September 2006 and the capability by end of 2007 to manufacture crude atomic bombs ready to drop on Israel and American assets in the Middle East. It presumes a conclusion between the lines that Israel with or without American aid or permission believes its window for war is closing fast. In the previous chapter we spoke of two influential Israeli figures in charge of planning the strike. Meir Dagan, head of Mossad, and its chief expert spy on Iran’s nuclear program was requested by the prime minister’s office to stave off retirement until the end of 2007. You have Eliezer Shkedi, a former F-16 pilot given overall military command of military plans for a final Iran solution. That means another F-16 Osirak … bombing run is in the works.  [In 1982, Israeli F-16 jets bombed and destroyed the Osirak atomic reactor outside of Bagdhad about to be used to make weapons grade nuclear fuel for Saddam Hussein to use against Israel.]

It seems Israel will attack Iran before the year 2007 closes. If Iran fights back the US will be drawn into the conflict, willingly it would seem to the Vice President in Chief of Neo-Cons.

It would seem that General Tira’s prayers for bi-partisan support for a war have already been fulfilled by Senator Lieberman’s amendment sandwiched into the approved Pentagon budget bill for 2008. When war comes, either in 2007 or in fiscal year of 2008, those legislators railing against a president pushing them into another ill conceived and disastrous war, will be reminded, like the soldiers forced into interminable tours of duty in Iraq, to read the fine print they had so mindlessly signed, granting their official blessing to a calamitous war with Iran.

It will be a war of biological, chemical and radioactive pestilence from weapons of mass destruction if more levelheaded minds and compassionate hearts cannot cowl the hawks of war.

Now it is four years later. On this day following President Bush’s second inauguration, it is time to reexamine an authentic prophecy from the 16th-century French seer Nostradamus that may present his authentic label for the US president. It contains such rare and obvious clues to make it a sure prophecy for “Dubiya,” the much cherished and well-known nickname for President Bush. Century 6 Quatrain 13 of Nostradamus’ prophetic masterpiece from the 1550s says:

Vn dubieux ne viendra loing du regne,
La plus grand part le voudra soustenir:
Vn Capitole ne voundra point qu’il regne,
Sa grande change ne pourra maintenir.

A doubtful one will not come far from the realm,
The greater part will want to support him:
A Capitol, will not want him to rule at all,
His great burden he will not be able to maintain.

Nostradamus had a passion for hiding major historical figures behind their nicknames, especially if the nickname draws a wicked pun in old French. He only used the word “dubieux” (dubious or doubtful one) and its variant “dubieuse” once in over 36,000 words of his major prophetic work about the future of the world. The rarity is significant. It brings interpretive pressure to bare on its application to one important person in his future history, rather than using this word generally. An obscure Nostradamus prophecy becomes clear when an interpreter uses the right word as a key that unlocks its secrets. The word “dubieux/dubieuse” unlocks two quatrains (6 Q13 and 6 Q95) revealing a similar theme of two leaders, a father and son, and their checkered destinies. Are these the father–former President George Herbert Walker Bush (1988-1992)–and his son, George W. Bush?

This leader, at least from Nostradamus’ point of view is a doubtful and dubious one. That means he is someone that bears the burden of illegitimacy in the seat of power. He could be one untrained and unprepared for the job thrust to him by means or the fate of being born the scion of either a royal or political dynasty. He is a “doubtful” man expected to follow his father to the seat of power who is less equipped emotionally and intellectually for the job. It is someone who could have great visions without a grasp of reality to see them fulfilled.. It is true, that many of these caveats can be applied to a whole assortment of mediocre or ill-starred leaders since Nostradamus composed these lines sometime in 1556. Indeed this prophecy was applied by me in 1997 to a great though flawed leader, President Richard Nixon, and the Watergate scandal in my book Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies.

A good Nostradamus scholar is ever ready to consider new possibilities, especially if those include a word or phrase that matches a unique slang term or nickname. Until “W” or “Dubiya” Bush became president of the United States there had not been ANYONE whose name phonetically matched the word “dubieux” so closely!

Many sympathetic supporters of President G.W. Bush have written to me over the last four years arguing that this prophecy better applies itself to the man Bush defeated in the disputed (doubtful) vote count in Florida 2000, Al Gore. I would have agreed with them if it was not for the near-perfect phonetic match for Bush’s nickname–Dubiya–with “dubieux.”

A highly contentious debate in America over Bush’s legitimacy as a leader has only intensified in four years, yet so has his support. A sight majority of Americans believe Bush is a bold leader in war. He is a man of God in the White House and a compassionate conservative poised to revolutionize the country. However, to that half of the United States and the majority of the world that sees him as a dangerous, unilateralist “cowboy” president, they might find support in Nostradamus’ pun for “dubious” Dubiya. His detractors will remind us of Bush’s record breaking deficit spending, his cutting taxes by trillions of dollars just when the nation finds itself needing to finance and fight a global world war of terrorism. One might call the president dubious for diverting US forces away from seeking and destroying the perpetrator of such a war–al-Qaeda and Usama bin Laden hiding in Afghanistan–to invade Iraq. Is it not “dubious” to invade a country that has not attacked the US in the war on terror? If I invaded a country, cut tax revenue while draining the coffers of the nation by hundreds of billions of dollars–several billion a month–without any exit strategy, or post war strategy plan, would you not call me a doubtful one? It is nearly two years since Bush led America into Iraq. After a brief war and the violence of the endless post “liberation” period, 100,000 Iraqis had been killed. They are mostly civilians. Another 1,400 American soldiers have been killed and nearly 12,000 wounded in a subsequent insurrection for which Bush and his administartion never planned. But if the butcher’s bill for this war is not proof enough of doubtful leadership, we recently find out from the Bush administration that his original reason for killing and maiming all those people actually never existed. The grounds for going to war, ridding Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, was a fluke. It is official. There are no weapons.

“Bring it on!” taunted the president to the terrorists and they did. A war of terrorism rages on the streets of Iraq where there was no war. Now that country is on the verge of a three way civil war between Sunnis, Shias and Kurds. The administration’s solution to a deepening quagmire in Iraq is to spread the conflict into Iran with air strikes planned as early as the summer of 2005. Those of you who listen to me on radio and read my articles already know that I have used astrological divination to predict and date such a planned air strike on Iran coming no sooner than the latter half of this summer in 2005. Moreover, I might add that I reported this potential war many months before Seymour Hersh came to the same date and conclusions in his recent New Yorker article. See: SATURN’S PRESIDENT

If Bush’s behavior in Iraq is not doubtful enough then consider the Patriot Act that puts into doubt many freedoms Americans enjoy–now sacrificed to fight a war on terror. There is the dubious plan to partially privatize US Social Security. The president encourages CEOs to out-source US jobs. He promotes a Homeland Security policy that leaves the southern borders of the US wide open to Mexico. Each year millions of illegal aliens flood in–this includes hundreds of undocumented aliens from known terrorist harboring nations. But if rolling back freedoms is not dubious enough there is the rolling back of restrictions against industries polluting water, air and earth in the US that would make a Republican President like Richard Nixon (the man who established the Environmental Protection Agency) roll in his grave.

I have no doubt that supporters of Dubiya will cry “foul!” But four and a half centuries ago, someone cried “dubieux!”

Let us take apart Nostradamus’ Century 6 Quatrain 13 line by line:

A doubtful (dubious) one will not come far from the realm…

Beyond the argument that “dubieux” stands for “Dubiya” President Bush is noted for his lack of interest in visiting foreign lands unless it is absolutely unavoidable. Even now, compared to other modern presidents, such as Nixon, Carter, Reagan, even his father George H.W. Bush, and Clinton, he has put in the fewest frequent foreign flyer miles of any modern president. It could be said that he has and “will” continue not to venture “far from the realm” of the US.

…The greater part will want to support him…

This fits G.W. Bush. Though the country be divided, and despite those who latch onto all the themes listed above that support his being called “dubious,” it is a fact that after four years Bush gained significant popular support. He transformed a popular vote deficit of 500,000 in 2000 into a slim but telling mandate over J.F. Kerry in the 2004 election of 3.5 million. So one could say, as Nostradamus did, that the “greater part will” and did “want to support him.”

…A Capitol, will not want him to rule at all…

This prophecy contains not one but TWO clear and rare references supporting a US president as the theme of this vision: “dubieux” for Dubiya, and “Capitole” for the US “Capitol” building. Out of 36,000 words of Nostradamus, “Capitole” is only used once.

The line is ominous if it applies to Bush. At some stage the “Capitol,” meaning the US house and Senate, may move to impeach or force President Bush to leave office. Bush’s political party now has a majority in the House and Senate. I cannot rule out a long held gut feeling that Bush will find his presidency betrayed by members of his party. But we will see. Perhaps by the mid-term elections scheduled in 2006 the opposition Democratic party may take back the House of Representatives and Senate.

The last line says:

…His great burden he will not be able to maintain.

Few presidents have risked more in economic and foreign policy than G.W. Bush. He has made it clear that he intends to prosecute his agenda with redoubled intensity in the next four years, despite all signs of flaws and vague planning. His second inauguration speech defined a grand and some are saying militant vision throwing down the gauntlet to bring democratic freedoms to people beyond Iraq–to dictatorships around the world. Though he did not mention them by name, the emerging message between the lines of his speech to countries like Syria, Iran and North Korea is: become democratic “or else.” Does this mean that his presidency will fall because his ambitions are too doubtfully grandiose? Can he disarm or use military force to defeat Iran and North Korea, or bring democracy to the Arab nations of the Middle East, transform the US Judiciary, cause US tax reform, transform the US Social Security System all in four years? Is the president a visionary, or a dreamer burdened with a vision too grand and too dubiously thought out to maintain?

Einstein once said, “The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius knows its limits.”

Does Bush know his limits?

The president himself has said that his new mandate has earned him much “political capital” and he aims to spend it. There are others in his own political party that have also earned political capital for keeping mum about their differences with the president’s policies. Many Republican senators, legislators and governors want something too. Some leaders of his party deem Bush religiously, fiscally and politically extreme. They too will demand payment of political capital. So far Bush has not shown himself to be a good conciliator. Will he fail to satisfy both the religious right and the more moderate wings of his Republican party now in power in the Capitol?

Line 3 implies scandal and impeachment. Line 4 implies overreach and overwhelm. Perhaps line 4 also describes this president’s last “prophetic” hurdle. Will he be the first president in history elected under a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction to survive a first term unscathed “and” a second term without dying in office? Starting in 1840 every president elected under this conjunction in 1860, 1880, 1900, 1920, 1940, and 1960 has faced death while in office and has not survived. Ronald Reagan became president under the conjunction in 1980 and was shot by an assassin the following year. He barely survived his wounds. No one so far has passed unscathed through a first term to survive a second. For instance, Abraham Lincoln elected under the conjunction in 1860 was reelected to a second term in 1864. He was slain by an assassin shortly after. Franklin.D. Roosevelt successfully ran for a third term under the conjunction in 1940 only to die early on in his fourth term.

I have never sensed a death danger for President Bush from assassination. There is a threat of accidental death through a plane or air accident. However, it has always seemed to me that the strain of the presidency is most likely the source of his brush with death in office. It could come from a sudden and unexpected health crisis. If President Bush takes good care of his heart, he may break the curse of the conjunction.

I hope he will.

Now to the second Nostradamus quatrain using the word “doubtful” as a link. I believe it continues the vision of 6 Q13. The quatrain is the 95th entry from the same Century or “Volume” of Nostradamus’ prophetic work: Century 6 Quatrain 95. Many times the prophet continued his account of a vision in a second quatrain placed somewhere out of sequence in the same volume. This prophecy may continue the tale, shining more light on exactly what makes a second term of a Bush presidency such an unmaintainable “burden” that the Congress in “the Capitol” do not want him to rule. The prophecy reads:

Par detracteur calumnié à puis nay.
Quand istront faicts enormes & martiaux:
La moindre part dubieuse à l’aisnay,
Et tost au regne seront faicts partiaux.

By the detractor calumny (lodged) against the younger born.
When enormous and warlike deeds will go on:
The least part doubtful for the elder one,
And soon in the kingdom there will be patrician deeds.

Let us probe this prophecy one line at a time:

By the detractor calumny (lodged) against the younger born…

The “younger born” could be the 43rd president (George W. Bush), son of the 41st president (G. H. W. Bush). Someone levels a slanderous accusation at the son. Perhaps it is an unfair accusation, and G.W. Bush is innocent, but the calumny gains momentum.

…When enormous and warlike deeds will go on…

A detractor accuses G.W. Bush of scandal when he is fully engaged in a great war, much more wide spread and risky than experienced today. The president could be fighting a losing battle of occupation in Iraq sometime after July of 2005. He could rashly widen the war across the Middle East with a joint US-Israeli air strike on Iran to take out its nuclear industries. A military crisis with North Korea and with China over Taiwan could add to this president’s overwhelming war burden any time after late July 2005 through September 2007 when Saturn transits Leo–a time of intolerance, partisan mindsets and war. At the darkest hour of war, scandal undermines this president, or worse. He must answer those who question his military blunders, or even question his mental capacity to be president of the US.

…The least part doubtful for the elder one…

History already views the father, the “elder” Bush, as an accomplished unilateralist better able to establish and sustain military and economic alliances. The younger Bush is a unilateralist who in four short years has abandoned treaties and isolated the US from its allies and friends more thoroughly than any modern US president in history. This line may infer that a second term of Bush the “minor” will only sweeten the memory of Bush the “major” as a better president than his son.

…And soon in the kingdom there will be patrician deeds.

The word “partiaux” is a classic Nostradamian double-entendre for the old French “partial”–partisan. It also means “patrician.” The line could promise partisan debates in the House and Senate over Bush’s capacity to be president. If Bush became a liability to the future of the neo-Conservative revolution he would be “removed” one way or another by his own patrician class–the rising plutocracy that one now sees emerging in America. This is the same power class that would pit one member of the Yale secret society–Skull and Bones–against another in the 2004 election: the Democrat J.F. Kerry against the Republican G.W.Bush.

I have often said that the next president might be Senator Hillary Clinton leading a resurgent and “partisan” Democratic Party. However, let me set forth a few prophetic caveats. The Democratic Party cannot attain the White House and a majority in the House and Senate in 2008 if they do not support their reformers. I would consider it a sign of hope for them to win in 2008 if next month (February 2005) the party leadership should elect a reformer like Howard Dean as Chairman of the party. If they do not, then the emerging “patrician,” plutocracy of CEOs may rule this country for eight more years.

Strangely enough, scandal and tragedy may help the patrician aim. If the president were to fall from office in disgrace or die in office, his Vice President, Dick Cheney–his chief adviser for the neo-Conservative plutocracy–would step in as president. Look then to Cheney choosing a Vice President who will become the heir apparent of the neo-Con movement in the White House. Next, a health crisis with Cheney’s heart, true or fabricated, could see him step down as president or die in office. Thus Cheney’s Vice President, chosen for him by the plutocracy, could successfully run for office and perhaps lengthen their stay in power for another four to eight years.

A less seditious future destiny would see President Bush endure all crises and astrological curses to successfully finish his second term. Nevertheless, it is clear to me that Cheney’s plutocratic duty is to step down before the end of Bush’s term. Thus he will defer to a younger Vice President who will run against Hillary Clinton in 2008–and if he wins, the heir to G.W. Bush will run again for a second term in 2012.
