On 7 July 2010, I posted the following about Barack Obama’s oncoming crisis of leadership that would result in a mid-term election referendum undermining trust in government itself in the United States. A Mandate of Anger would decapitate US credibility as a leader of the world for the next two years.

My oracle’s message was inspired by astrological prophecy. History is under the influence of a powerful aspect of the ruler of the new Age of Aquarius, Uranus. This ruler of revolution and/or chaos has worked to undermine Obama’s pretenses as a ruler of change. The following prediction posted in July of last year (see Uranus in Retrograde) was the beginning of what my oracle would later formulate at the end of 2010 as a definition of government in Washington DC in 2011. My oracle’s following message to President Obama was written over a year ago, four months before the midterm elections; yet, is reads like it was written today, as if in retrospect:

Barack Obama, if you go forward without seeing how backward your ideas of change are rapidly becoming to what really needs changing in America then your slogan, “Change we can believe in,” will soon become, “Chaos we can disbelieve in.”

Uranus rules chaos and disorder as well as change and revolution. Uranus in retrograde while Saturn is exalted in Libra (read: balanced and more conservative reality checks) means ill-conceived, advancing Fool over-the-brink liberal progress, leads to political chaos for those in power in Washington.

The American people will feel leaderless and unheard by those left or right leaning ideologues living inside the Washington, lobbyist-rich elitist loving, political bubble. A future that was almost lost is coming closer. It gathers in the momentum of national frustration and rising anger of the American people against their president, state governors and federal legislators. If the disconnection deepens it may lead to anger as a national referendum of disdain against the governing system.

Or worse…

In this alternative future, the Americans will shout something loud and destructive on 2 November with ballots flying. They may not intend it, but a vote to throw most incumbents out – the good, the bad and the ugly with the baby and the bathwater – could happen.

The angry American voter under incautious Uranus-in-retrograde chaos may fill the Gubernatorial seats of state capitals and Congress with a mob of demagogues pronouncing change as a force of political hysteria without leadership, focus or coherency. The new legislators will, to paraphrase Elrond [of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings], govern the country for the next two years in a Congress that is “scatterbrained, divided, leaderless.”

Americans might send the politically infantile and extremely eccentric to flush out the old wood. Yes, it would be a change. Chaos is change.

Americans could see an even more dysfunctional government as a result for the next 2 years – one that represents the state of the voting public: pissed off, grasping for straw votes, reaching out to swipe somebody without coherency or plan. Not conservatism or liberalism but a Uranian retrograde nasty surprise: tear-it-all-down-ism.

The oracle in forecasts for 2011, published 21 December 2010, had this to say about what actually was and is the 112^th Congress we have had to endure for a half-year and counting:

This is the future before us: the 112th Congress convenes its first session on 3 January of 2011 with houses divided: the Republicans grabbing 67 seats and a large majority in the House. The Democrats by retaining a slim 53-seat majority – including two left-leaning independents – in the Senate.

What we have coming is gridlock. President and Democrat Senators can’t advance liberal agendas without a sixty-seat majority. House Republicans won’t completely dismantle Obama’s Health Care legislation due to the fact they don’t have the Senate. They’ll put on a good demonstration because killing “Obamacare” was a major Tea Party campaign pledge. The Republican-Tea Party coalition in the House can and will hobble those progressive-socialist parts of the plan the medical insurance lobbies couldn’t get cut by withholding Health Care financing.

What happens when an angry mass of people feel like their lives are stuck in neutral by perceived symbols of power oppression. If they aren’t heard, if they aren’t able to move forward, they can riot.

Prepare for a political riot on the beltway in the chambers of Congress.

… Firebrands thrown into the halls of Congress or at the façade of the White House are not what I’m talking about for 2011. The capital of the United States won’t burn like Watts. (Not yet, at least, although I foresee such things as possible in less than a decade if Americans don’t manage a way off this future timeline.) The violence is far more subtle in 2011. It won’t be targeting brick or building but the ability to govern this country. The breakdown of the political system into polarized partisanship in 2011 of an intensity not yet known in our already polarized body politic will create the climate for real rioting in the streets of America.

The oracle then turned its augured attention on the Tea Party members of the Congress representing an American people in 2011 who will want to make two plus two equal five.

Americans want the Tea Party to reduce federal government spending by the trillions. Equally they expect somebody out there who throws pies in the sky to cook up and drop down trillions of dollars needed to rebuild the infrastructure, achieve energy independence from Middle Eastern terrorized states, wean off oil, and oh! let’s also build 25 nuclear power plants in a decade. We’ll somehow do all this huge investment heavy lifting while paying off the oncoming debt apocalypse without raising taxes. Indeed, math scores in America have fallen far below the top ten educated countries – 25th to be exact.

My oracle observes America and sends this message:

You are like children. You want it all – your cake and eat it too. You want a smaller government but more government aid and stimulus for jobs.

We get the democracy we vote for. An ungovernable people send to Washington an ungovernable government where cuts are expected without impact or consequence. Sort of like what children expect out of life. Like wanting our cake and eating it too, Americans want our deficit spending ways cut but we will not “eat” the consequences too. We want to cut spending but not raise revenues. No country in history has erased a deficit without doing both. Two plus two equals “four” not an idiot’s “high-five” with the math.

Next, my oracle returned to the key astrological events of the first half of 2011 that would see movement and potential progress in a gridlocked government.

Uranus (change) moves at last out of illusory Pisces back into (get to business, take a jump) Aries in mid-March 2011. The collective urge to blaze new trails will be in its first fresh degrees of a new sign. This is when the Republican-Tea Party rebellion will be pushing hardest their agendas in a Wattsington riot mode, yet starting in July and lasting nearly the rest of 2011, riotous political action will be stalled in the aftermath of political “capital” burned down around them.

ASSESSMENT
March was indeed the time when early on in the opening months of the congressional session, platitudes of collegial bi-partisan promises from the Left and the Right of the bench in the Senate and the House of Representatives began butting Donkeycratic and Dumbopublican heads. All of this, as the months of ire and ideological head butting dragged on refereed with extreme ideological prejudice by a “Mad Hatter” from the Tea Party or two at White House meetings with President Obama, leading at one point to the president famously getting up from his chair and leaving the room.

The US Capitol building remains standing but in July, as forecast, after the partisan rioting, the political “capital” of Republican, Tea Party and Democrat credibility for Congress and the President remains “burned down around them” all.

Yet my oracle closed the chapter on Wattsington DC still holding hope for my own desire for bi-partisan progress in the second half of 2011 — though with an ironic coda — when it added:

The American people will pressure the gridlockers to stop shooting ideology at each other and get things done for the people. Their rage spent, the second half of 2011 might enjoy legislators on both sides picking up the pieces, mending political fences, rebuilding bipartisan bridges, putting out the shop fires and replacing the broken windows, as it were, striving to forge common ground legislation.

A majority of Americans aren’t into vandalizing the government. They want it to function, move forward, though my Oracle wonders if rioters can be men and women of reason. It wonders if I am a fool to hope otherwise. How can bipartisanship occur in the second half of 2011 when the malarial campaign fever for 2012 begins its infection?

A majority of Americans want a bi-partisan solution. A special congressional commission was appointed after the debt ceiling in the 11th hour was lifted before the nation defaulted on its debt. The committee of house and senate members is charged with looking at spending cuts and revenue solutions to be presented to the government in late November. Already there is partisan pledges, coming from the Right forcing Republican and Tea Party members to swear against raising taxes before negotiations begin. No doubt Democrat appointed members would swear passive aggressively not to cut spending to entitlements. With such renewed childishness of “my way or the highway” pledges already placed, the second half of 2011 rightfully, it seems, had my oracle back at the end of last year saying I and by extension all Americans can “dream on” about mature progress in Washington.

For this dream to become a reality, it will need the American people to wake up and see that their government is a reflection of their own disconnection with political and financial realities.

Wake up, Americans. Another civil war is approaching with secession of states and far worse, a violent unraveling of American society. There is still time left in this year, and in this decade to turn the course of America’s future away from the civil Balkanization of the country that waits for us just a few years down time’s trail, potentially poised to pounce somewhere around the corner of the next decade.

HAS A NEW RECESSION BEGUN?

DATELINE: 04 August 2011: The Dow Jones Industrials plummeted today in the 9th worst single-day crash in history and the worst slide since the Great Recession began in 2008. Readers of Predictions for 2011, published in December of last year, are already aware that my oracle predicted  a second great Recession could come in the first half of 2011. It also said  things would begin lurching towards that recession around April and May. Those of you watching the smoke before today’s fire sale on Wall Street, such as Bert Dohman, President of the Dohman Capital Research Institute, started seeing the signs of a new recession in May and said as much today on this new “Black Thursday”  in an interview for CNBC.

The signs in May were a string of devastating housing and employment reports indicating modest and fragile economic growth was flattening out. Then at the half year mark world stock markets, especially the Dow Jones, began a steady aggregate decline in earnings right at the time the effect of the QE2, the  second  “quantitative easing”  by central banks was running out.  This includes what the Federal Reserve tried to achieve by purchasing $600 billion of longer-term US Treasury securities. Supporters of Fed Chief Ben Bernanke believed the beaucoup billions of treasury bucks and yet again another printing marathon of dollars was responsible for a little stimulation of the sagging economy starting in December. However, by June  Fed purchases ended and guess what? The economy started slipping. Add to that slide Washington DC’s deficit in leadership over a childish debate about the Debt Ceiling unsettling the world’s confidence. Add to these Greece on the verge of default. The Euro monetary union ready to break apart. Add to European financial woes Italy  about to join Greece in a debt crisis. Unlike Greece, Italy’s  economy, one of the largest in the EU, is too big to fail “or” be bailed out. All these factors have conspired to bring on something I have been warning since December 2008. That a second Recession, far worse, could come starting as early as October 2010 and no later than mid-year 2011, if serious and far-reaching bank reforms and Wall Street reforms did not fix what is a systemic cancer in the world economy.

Well… Here we are.

I will be watching the markets tomorrow (Friday 5 August 2011) and will then write a full article assessing what I already said in my prophecies for 2011 as well as share insight into the new era we have entered in 2011, which I define as a “Cold Depression.”

I started writing this blog the moment the House of Representatives applauded themselves for the “great job” they did taking a Debt Ceiling Deal to the brink of the United States defaulting on its debt. Now, the political Left, the Right and Center legislators in Washington saw this bill confirmed by the US Senate this morning, 2 August 2011 — what would have been default doomsday, Debt-ster-geddon, or Econa-mageddon for the United States’ triple star credit rating. Now the House homies can applaud themselves with this bill that in ten years will prevent the US national debt from carbing up an extra $14 trillion dollars in ten years. Give’em a hand everybody. Now it will only increase just $12 trillion in ten years.

I feel like applauding Congress like some lone guy did at the end of the late-1960s TV comedy classing Laugh In. Up pops the little German helmeted comic in the South American jungle. He says, “Very interesting, but stoooopid.” Cut to the final credits and off camera, one hears a guy’s hands clapping too slowly, loudly and sarcastically. This applause is for you, Congress and President: clap… clap…… (pause) clap………

From a prophetic perspective, the three-ring circus of the House, the Senate and the 101st Senator who occupies the White House leading the executive branch from behind is another dire step in a long process towards a future I have been writing about for decades.

The Debt Ceiling Bill’s passing reminded me of an incident from 13 years earlier between the US government and myself over where all this is leading America to. Back in 1998 I got up at an ungodly hour here in the Pacific Northwest to phone in an interview for an afternoon show (GMT time) for a BBC radio station in London about my book Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies. I strayed from Nostradamus to make a most memorable prediction that had my landline clicking with that telltale sign of wire tapping for the next six months.

No, Rupert Murdock’s people from Fleet Street did not tap my line. It was a low budget US government wiretap, because the expensive wiretaps do not click at all. You only know you are on one when your tapped phone connects with another tapped land line and then and they suddenly cancel each other out faster than a cell phone losing bars in the stony bowels of the Grand Canyon (“can you hear me now?” echo… echo…). The Bill Clinton clicker was replaced by a G.W. Bush higher-end wiretap that pulled the plug on my landline when I was talking to the publisher of Osho books.

Just a few years back on one of my regular appearances on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory the phone started clicking so bad we had to find a new land line during the commercials. When back on the air I publicly complained with tongue in cheek that my wiretap rating must have fallen at the CIA because we were back to the clickers. I recall adding that it was another example of government waste to put me on tap because intelligence servicers can freely drink to their hops content my intoxicating insights and barbs on this web site. All the CIA or smokin’ joint chiefs of staff or National Security folk can save the public some tax dollars and do what their operatives already do: tune into the radio, Discovery or History Channel for a Hogue fix or join my free newsletter, browse Hogueprophecy and/or purchase generously low priced e-Books full of future info.

But I digress…

The clicks first started tapping on my phone line in 1998 when I answered a BBC radio reporter’s question about Congress trying to impeach President Clinton for parking his dingy — or, apparently it was only his cigar — in the wrong dock.

“America’s democracy is adrift,” I recall saying, adding that if US Congress continues to descend into these unsubstantial debates or trivialize real issues laid before the country, then, we are heading for a bloody revolution in the streets of the United states sometime in the early decades of the 21st century.

Oops, say “bloody revolution.” Some robot hunter-gathering program must have picked up on that. The crickets from the CIA or FBI began creeping down your landline clicking away for more “bloody” talk. The threat phrase searching robots perhaps ignored the rest of what I said, that I am dead against such a bloody rebellion happening. That here at Hogueprophecy, I am working to prevent such a violent future happening by spelling out the present day’s consequences played out in the future. I am for a Jeffersonian, peaceful revolution in American politics; however I added in my BBC interview that if the trends of the 1990s did not change, bloody civil war and revolution in the streets of America was coming by the 2020s.

Forecasting the future of genius is hard, because intelligence is spontaneous and non-habitualized. Mediocrity, however, is much easer to presage.

Back on 15 July, I posted the first article about the Debt Ceiling. In it, I said the following, which is habitually accurate to the level of mediocre leadership coming currently from the Congress and the President about this Debt Ceiling crisis:

I believe we will kick this can of debt worms down a road in time, bouncing and clanging through and beyond the year 2012 into 2013. But Nostradamus has something to say about what will happen to your can of bean-counted economy if prompt and painful action — including tax hikes for everybody folks — is not forthcoming. Soon.

There is nothing nebulous this time in Nostradamus’ words, if this is about the fate of the global economy:

Mediocrity has a problem with math. Two plus two trillion spending cuts in the next ten years does not equal “Four”-teen trillion in debt being paid off. It just lets the monster grow to $12 trillion in a decade. Today, the Congress and the aloof president kick this overflowing can of Wall Street speculated debt worms down history’s timeline trail, whilst running out of temporal road to fix it. The can bounces past the Mayan Chicken Little year of 2012, past the US election year. It lands on the doorstep of a new presidential term in early 2013. You will still have Obama for a second term, by the way. (If you want to know why and stop it from happening; or, if you want to see what you can do to make it happen, click on predictions).

Obama will still be struggling with his passive-aggressive leadership style — best exemplified by what was his once-conceitedly touted “leading from behind” style. Leading from behind will see him in 2013 trying to catch up with his destiny, probably facing a divided new US Congress.

It may not be divided in the old way: Democrats versus Republicans. My oracle begins to see shadows of a new two-party divide in Congress of 2013, between Republicans and Tea Partiers. This is in the shadows of possibility, but for the record, I begin seeing that future as possible where a diminished democrat presence in both houses of Congress may play moderate wedge or just sit on the sidelines of America’s right leaning evolution.

The American Revolutionary flag adopted by the Tea Party Movement. Nostradamus mentions a sea attack on Iran by the "true serpent", which perhaps is his code for America under Tea Party control waging a future war. Astrologically speaking, this could happen in 2015 or 2016.

It is clear though that for now the Third Party revolution in Republican clothing moves forward. It has historically changed the debt debate in Washington. Tax reform and significant reductions of troops in foreign lands are coming in the latter half of this year. See forecasts for 2011.

At what a price in American confidence with government was this accomplished? The Tea Party’s victory comes at a time when Pew poles report 77 percent of the American public view all in Congress as spoiled children (their hyperbole, not mine). Only 17 percent view them as adults. Can a Tea Party Revolution thrive in such a climate of disdain for Congress when they now shape the debate, define what is GOP philosophy and share with weakened establishment Republicans, half of that Congress?

What is coming in the near future after 2 August 2011?

No solutions to debt crises. Real change we can believe in, real taking America back is all postponed by Donkeycrats, Dumbo-publicans and the latter’s coalition with a couple of Alices running for president in economic Wonderland, endorsed by sleepy door mice, march hares and mad hatters. (Hey Louis Carol. What indeed makes a ravin’ Palin like a writing desk? I there something in the tea…?)

In the shortfall between now and November, there will be deeper economic uncertainty. Everybody’s favorite Uncle Sam has put on a debt freak for a few months, but now with the vote passed like a kidney stone, Uncle Sammy seems to have found his lost marbles. Yet Uncle Sam’s economic credibility has been damaged in a way that no credit rater, making apologies like a wife of a drunk fallen off his wagon, can completely restore. We all hope it was just a binge of political madness and not a trend — economically speaking.

Astrological prophecy foresees a muddled economy waiting for the credit boom to be lowered. The economic world descends into insecurity. Uranus, the ruler of revolution, change or unexpected bad or good surprises is in retrograde in the progress-loving Sign of Aries. When Aries is moving backwards, he gets grumpy. He smolders, rages and it will have deep consequences. Look at plunging stocks on 2 August, another day in the longest down trend in Wall Street since the dark early days of the 2008 Recession. A lack of growth, employment and confidence has history lurching towards global economic stagnation in the months to come because of retrograde Uranus in Aries. This retreat in confidence will continue all the way to and beyond the Thanksgiving holiday in late November, the time slotted for a special congressional cost cutting committee (six senators and six House Representatives), charged by today’s Debt Ceiling Agreement, to actually pick and choose what trillions will be cut by Thanksgiving Turkey time, four months hence. Will it be defense spending? Will it be Social Security? Health care?

Congressional and presidential salaries??? (Nahhh…)

One might hope astrology forecasts progress in these talks coming in December, when Uranus moves direct course. But then there is that vast and invisible gravitas of the planet under which Uranus is cast in a spell of negative square aspect, Pluto, that ruler of age defining, mass minded regeneration or degeneration of civilizations which is in the early years of its long transit through big business Capricorn.

Nasty surprises are coming in November, because the special committee to advise what needs to be cut from government spending will apply Uranian “surprise” to Capricornian frictions of the planetary square. There will be back door taxation coming — what I would call passive agree-sive taxation embedded in the agreement coming from Congress today. A serious threat to corporate tax loopholes will be tendered rather than raising taxes. The president laid out his November demands today for revenue pain to be shared equally by the rich. Some may celebrate this, saying Obama stance today makes him look at least like the most adult person in Washington D.C. Others will gather up their loins on left and right preparing for the most partisan presidential campaign in history.

Uranus and Pluto right now are running backwards together in their transits of Aries and Capricorn, respectively, but that changes in September. Pluto will move forward and Uranus backward through the skies, starting a week or so before Comet Elenin makes its fourth line up with the Sun and Earth towards the end of September. When forward progress retreats and collectively unconscious history advances, the disconnection between these two forces of change and history gape. The square becomes powerfully unstable. These planets when in squares are harbingers of great and unexpected earthquakes, both seismic in earth and tsunami wave. Earthquakes in politics and economics also happen. Brace yourselves for the Ides of September, when the next great quakes and crises in leadership come.

Speaking of Uranian surprises of a happier note, many of the legislators in Congress yesterday were applauding the return of Arizona Democrat Congresswoman Gabby Giffords to the House floor to cast her vote. She has made a near-miraculous recovery from being shot through the head by the kind of insanity too often holding a gun these days.

Before the afterglow of naughty bits-full blissful sex gave birth to the religious quest, Adam and Eve also discovered that copulating makes one hungry. In the after-f*ck comes feast.

There is no more important catalyst for a breakdown or a breakthrough for civilization than how we manage the future of food. This is the seventh month of the year 2011, when expected to be born is the seven billionth child. He or she will be hungry, demanding of the future a handout of dream it will not fulfill. He or she will grow up pretty damned angry if dreamy entitlement of Garden of Eden dreams are not delivered, if Satan’s apple is already wormy to the cruddy core before tempted. Seven billion people and counting will chase after the car of success. They will all “catch it”, sometime in the 2020s, because the car had ran out of gas.

Food is fuel for nourishing thoughts that spark plug flash-forward the engine of enterprise, genius, golden ages. Our future advances on what we eat.

Back on 22 September 2009, Ingrid Weithers-Barati of Raw Epicurean.net  interviewed me about the future of food, vegan and vegetarianism, my encounter with Timothy Leary and the recipes of Nostradamus. Many of you may not be aware that Nostradamus was not as obsessed with the future as we think he was. He had many passions to which far more time and years were dedicated, such as being a 16th-century gourmet. He shared his recipes for meals, medicines and fruit preservatives in highly popular books standing for their own part as important examples of French 16th-century literature, beyond those works of prophecy most of us dispute or defend about the future of the world. Ingrid Weithers-Barati: Tell us a bit about your background What inspired you to become the “rogue” prophecy scholar you are today?

John Hogue: Since being a young boy, I have been an old man growing younger as the body ages. Back then I had a fascination with current events and the repetition of history like a doctor is fascinated with pathology. I wanted to understand “why” history kept repeating itself, and I had an instinctive skepticism of what teachers and authorities taught, because if they really knew what they were talking about, why has humanity not learned history’s lessons. Do we repeat mistakes because we do not learn from history, or, do those who teach us teach the wrong conclusions about history’s lessons? (A very serious young boy, there.)

Anyway, when it started getting too serious I fell into an existential crisis by the time I was in my 20s. So, I began searching for spiritual and religious answers, especially those less orthodox or more Eastern than those I was indoctrinated to follow as a being labeled “Western Caucasian American” stamped on the bum side of my soul. In the process of studying religious paths, I became aware of the prophetic scriptures of the world. It seemed “future history” was just as plagued as the past with patterns of conditioned habits. The future seemed just as repetitively tragic as the past. So, as I embarked since 1980 on the path of meditation on the side was this continued evolution of my study of what made people predictable in the past and predictable in the future.

My work is all about understanding the engine of conditioning each new generation to be as silly and miserable as the past, no matter what the color or design of the cultural or religious blinders put upon the inner eye of their souls as “truth.”

Thus, my iconoclastic experiential slant on prophecy is perhaps unique among prophecy scholars. That is why I am known as a “Rogue Scholar”.

Over the past 30 years, I must have studied enough on my own to become a Rhodes Scholar but I attained no degrees, short of the minimum requirement — a high school diploma — in 1974. More than this degree in society’s de-education of my intelligence was too much to bear. The price for a further dulling of intelligence required I assume deeper degrees of BS, BMs, and ‘piled high and deep’ PhDs of borrowed knowledge.

IWB: Who is/are/were your mentors[s]?

JH: Existence is first and foremost the mentor of us all. It is life itself. There were many others and still many more coming. Ray Bradbury taught me how to write. My meditation teacher, Osho, still teaches me before and beyond the grave to be aware of the witnessing consciousness that abides all changes in the body-mind and to celebrate living as a Zorba the Buddha in the marketplace of a constantly changing and impermanent world we all share. He taught me to be a witness of these things, and more: To be aware of that which is beyond what consciousness reflects. For that I cannot limit my answer in mere words. At a point one must stop talking about H2O and jump into the water. Meditation techniques are a way to prepare for real meditation. Those who want to know more than what I’ve said here must come and meditate with me.

IWB: When did you become a vegetarian, and what motivated you to do so?

JH: I was 25 years old. I was motivated by practicality, not anything holy-baloney “spiritual.” I discovered after a first quarter century of living in this body that it didn’t like animal flesh of any kind. Once I stopped eating it I became a hale and hearty high-energy fellow ever since.

IWB: What are your thoughts on consuming a plant-based diet and the role it plays on the health of our environment?

JH: First off, a word about dietary spiritual conceits. From my experience, vegetarianism does not make you more spiritually evolved. Case in point, Adolf Hitler tried all his life to be a vegetarian while Jesus Christ ate meat.

There are many people, born of Western bodies, who try to claim some spiritual attainment by eating Vegan or Veg. at the cost of making themselves less energetic, unhealthy and mentally dull. I will tell you right now, as a Vegan now for four years, who eats eggs, if at any moment my body impresses upon me the need to eat fish, chicken, lamb, or beef I will do it without hesitation or any spiritual guilt. What is good for Gurdjieff or Muhammad, or all the Sufi mystics, many of the Zen masters, or even poor ole Jesus left hanging around as some lamb sacrifice of God is good for me too.

Now, with that said, my own experience agrees with my own teacher, Osho. About six months after I quit eating meat, fish or chicken I felt a glugginess leave my bodily and nervous system. I felt a lighter quality in my body-mind. I did feel less gross, more sensitive. Moreover, in my case I got physically stronger. I mean, if big 800-pound, muscle bound, chest thumping gorillas can eat bunny-fare and be that big and strong that means there are some animal and human animal people that have bodies like those veggorillas. I’m one of those plant-gorging apes for sure, for now.

Certainly adopting a vegetarian, even vegan, lifestyle lowers my carbon footprint, but let that not prevent people from eating a modest meat diet from time to time if their body needs it. We can still vastly reduce the wasteful farming and green house gas flatulating herds of livestock to help Mother Earth if people simply approach their eating habits in a balanced and intelligent way. Most affluent people simply eat too much, including those who graze like rabbits as proud veggie folk.

IWB: How has vegetarianism contributed to your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being?

JH: I’m not a vegetarian anymore. I am now a Vegan who eats two eggs a day. (Thank you, Chickens of the world!) As I said answering your last question, I definitely grew stronger and less slickly and prone to immune weakness after becoming a veggie guy. The question is, was this improvement solely from becoming a Vegetarian at 25?

It is hard to know because at 25 I also went to India, became initiated as a swami in the Neo-Sannyasin “non-tradition” of Osho. Before this, I started meditating. Therefore, since I like what chickens make, we have a chicken-or-the-egg Zen koan here. Did the diet make me a meditator, or did the meditation make me a vegetarian?

Osho.

There have been great mystics and meditators that have not been vegetarians, so one must wonder? Also, psychosomatic issues might equally have caused the chronic problems I had with my upper and lower GI until I stopped eating meat. Osho’s active meditation techniques and encounter groups put me on the fast track of letting go 25 years of repressed emotions, fears and judgments. We hold things in our bodies.

Osho’s says, “start with the body” in meditation. It sure worked for me. Does therefore my vegetarianism-cum-veganism become a happy extra to this cleansing? Did my psychosomatic bouts of intestinal blockage end because I stopped eating hamburgers? On the other hand, was it the rebirthing session that got me in contact with the life in Napoleon’s army in 1812, at the Battle of Borodino? I received an artillery shell splinter in the gut while on my horse directing a corps of French cavalry into a ravine for cover from cannon in a large Russian breastwork that was rolling my troupers and their horses over like bowling pins for two hours. When wounded in the gut, I calmed my horse. Everyone around me watched as I yelled beau feu! (good shot!) and dropped dead.

Reincarnation studies show that people seem to carry health issues related to traumas in past lives. Once I saw how I died on the battlefield, I never had intestinal “infortitude” ever since (I’m in my 54th year in this body. Update that to 56th year at the time of posting this blog). Was it the veggie diet or was it breaking the unconscious psychosomatic connection a past life bowel injury that killed?

IWB: Would you day eating this way contributes greatly to your meditation practice and your ability to foretell future events? 

JH: I heard Osho say that vegetarianism makes one on the path more escthetic, less gross and dense. My life path experiences would tend to agree with him; however, if at some point this body should need animal products beyond chicken eggs we will put that theory to the test.

I am very surprised how good I feel after I stopped eating dairy products. I was a major cheese eater as a vegetarian, by the way. I do not see myself going back to cheese or meat in the foreseeable future, but one must listen to the body, as it always needs new things. Osho has a meditation for “talking to the body” which I find very helpful

IWB: Are there any particular types of food, plant-based or otherwise, that can impede your abilities?

JH: Weed. Alcohol. “Silly”-sybens perhaps, although every time in my youth when I was lining up to try the latter I would practice a week of cleansing my body for the best initiatory event. My friends, though, could not wait and consumed them before the week was out.

It all depends. These vegetarian “foods” can aid one, loosen one up, give one a glimpse but a glimpse does not a lifetime of bliss or augury make. For that you can’t knock it back, toke or mushroom your self 24/7 over seventy years like Timothy Leary, who I saw a few months before he died, sitting to the side of the book store area of a Seattle Whole Life Expo in the 1990s, to which I was invited to lecture.

My eyes were pulled to regard this spent and wrinkled candy wrapper of a man, shrunk in his chair. I did not even recognize him at first. It was a visceral moment. Our eyes met. Mine must have conveyed wordlessly the feeling of concern for and a marveling at how this stranger looked physically and spiritually spent. This impression registered in reflection in his eyes and he cowered. Then it dawned in a flash who it was I had regarded in the gap of no-thought was Timothy Leary.

I turned away, embarrassed to have stared, but not sorry to have felt a truth conveyed innocently through me, to him.

Drugs had destroyed Timothy Leary in the name of artificial enlightenment.

You have to find the inner high free of all chains or ticklers for the body-mind.

I mean, what inebriate was available to my consciousness before I was born? What will be available to imbibe when this body-mind imbiber is ash?

The fundamental question is, “who” is having the high? Who is not having a high?

Any dependence on something through the body for expanded consciousness is a path to addiction. There are far more subtle and profound addictions from which we all suffer. For instance, the identification with body-mind and emotions that leads us repeatedly into a cycle of lives lived in ego’s Misery-field.

Food for thought? Or, is the answer something untouched by any food or thought?

I wrote the gist of today’s article exactly five months ago, in early November of 2010 a few days after the midterm elections:

This is the future before us: the 112th Congress convenes its first session on 3 January of 2011 with houses divided: the Republicans grabbing 67 seats and a large majority in the House. The Democrats by retaining a slim 53-seat majority — including two left-leaning independents — in the Senate.

What we have coming is gridlock. President and Democrat Senators can’t advance liberal agendas without a sixty-seat majority. House Republicans won’t completely dismantle Obama’s Health Care legislation due to the fact they don’t have the Senate. They’ll put on a good demonstration because killing “Obamacare” was a major Tea Party campaign pledge. The Republican-Tea Party coalition in the House can and will hobble those progressive-socialist parts of the plan the medical insurance lobbies couldn’t get cut by withholding Health Care financing.

What happens when an angry mass of people feel like their lives are stuck in neutral by perceived symbols of power oppression. If they aren’t heard, if they aren’t able to move forward, they can riot.

Washington DC becomes Watts-sington DC in 2011.

Prepare for a political riot on the beltway in the chambers of Congress.

Predictions for 2011
Chapter 2, Wattsington DC

Everything, so far, predicted above has transpired or is in the process of happening. There is gridlock. No significant legislation has moved forward. No infrastructure improvement, no bank reform, no fossil fuel initiative, no bipartisan plan to get millions of Americans back to work and no budget agreement. I doubt there has ever been such an ineffective Congress in modern times. The Republican Party under Tea Party pressure proffered a politically symbolic and altogether meaningless vote in the House of Representatives to abolish Obama’s Health Care bill that died in the Democratic controlled Senate. Now the Republican-Tea Party controlled House seek to de-fund elements of that bill.

I write this article with less than 24 hours remaining before partisan politics and gridlock visit upon the United States a federal government shut down over disagreements about what must be cut out of government spending from LAST YEAR’S budget. The numbers bluff differently depending on which side of the isle in Congress one finds oneself in the Mexican standoff: the gun smoke and mirror threat to cut is around 30 billion (the Donkeycrat number) or over 60 billion (the Dumbopublican accounting). None of these cuts, by the way, are of any real financial significance towards reducing waste, spendthrift Fed funding or reducing the national debt on a crash diet program that must come and soon.

President Obama, who came to power promising change we can believe in, once again gave the nation procrastination beyond belief when time to balance the budget needs for 2011 came and went in February. Not this February. Last February over 12 months ago, for Christ’s sake!

At that time, the president enjoyed a majority in both houses of Congress. Now he patronizes an “above-it-all” call to a now politically divided Congress of Democrat controlled Senate and GOP controlled House to “act like grownups” and settle the budget cut issues for the fiscal year already come and half gone whilst President and Congress delaying an encounter with the far more challenging federal budget debate for fiscal year 2012.

This is another example of Obama proving my oracle right, that he has come to White House too soon and too green to be the leader of his own party, when they had the power to pass this budget. He also needs to do some “growing up”. The subject of his immaturity procrastinating potential greatness earned him the longest chapter in my forecasts for 2011: The Second Coming of Change We Can Believe in.

Speaking of the immature, let us move down the beltway to the quibbling boys and girls in the Capitol Building. The congressional leaders of two of the three parties involved seemed to have forged a compromise last week. However, as I predicted back in early November 2010, the Faustian choice establishment Republicans, such as the new Speaker of the House John Boehner, made by welcoming the Tea Party into their ranks would force them by late February onwards to press on beyond all compromises for more ideologically extreme stances with the Democrats:

The flashpoint for a riot in Congress is still ahead. House and Senate will be perfunctorily collegial for most of the first two months of the 112th Congress. Indeed, I believe the tax cuts running out in 2010 will be extended for two years. Then the House will stridently move to roll back Obama’s legislation. The Democratic controlled Senate will push back

The riot begins when Mars and Mercury conjoin in Pisces at the end of February 2011. Mars, the ruler of war and short tempers, magnifies in minds (ruled by Mercury). Once negatively stimulated, mob-think will divide both houses of Congress. The legislators gang up on each other, become argumentative, each side deaf to the other. Each side will bend their will to overpower the other, abandoning bi-partisanship.

…Uranus (change) moves at last out of illusory Pisces back into (get to business, take a jump) Aries in mid-March 2011. The collective urge to blaze new trails will be in its first fresh degrees of a new sign. This is when the Republican-Tea Party rebellion will be pushing hardest their agendas in a Wattsington riot mode.

Chapter 2, Wattsington DC

Pathology is predictable as are all things society programs us to borrow as “education”. One can bear witness to the generational hand-me-down stupidity and kabuki-truth puppetry of the shadow manipulator of political mind. This imposed ego in the ninja shadow of the subconscious holds the puppet personality, making it walk, talk, and perform. The science of self-observation (meditation) trains the light of our attention onto that shadow puppet master.

Or, putting it another way, I contend that meditation can help one look with the soul’s reopened inner eye, long closed and put asleep by Pavlovian induced habit and societal programming. The individual re-engaging the witnessing soul can see what was borrowed as a mask, a persona, and a personality under which one is hidden or within psychic constraints one is emotionally and intellectually straitjacketed. At a certain point of witnessing, one understands that this perpetuation of the straightjacket of “stupid” as normal suppressing true being is an entrapment from first childhood imprinting onwards.

We were not meant to be puppets pushed and pulled or parrots squawking the claptrap of others.

I now see the political mind coating over my soul and by extension I can now see how it overcoats “you” reader: bundling away from sight the collective soul of all of us.

This pathology of politics is all-too predictable and all too unconsciously influenced by cosmic, astrological forces. That is why my “oracular” session published five months ago relying on a reading of astrological influences sounds today like a review of the last few months of the 112th Congress.

All was very chummy before the cameras when the new legislatures opened in January. Senate Leader Harry Reid tentatively back-slapping House Speaker John Boehner all tear-wiping nicey-nicey in the first few months to follow. The fire-breathing Tea Party caucus of over 70 new and non-Washingtonized members in the House played it demur and polite, obeying their Republican establishment handlers as they learned the political ropes to hang themselves with. By the end of February when real rioting was rampant across the Middle East and North Africa, the will to political rioting in US Congress just could not keep the happy-face masks stuck on the faces of Tea Party Senators and House of Representative congressmen and women.

On came a number of smoldering threats out of the once congenial blubbering House Speaker Boehner of a government shutdown over the 2011 budget. The Tea Party had its March hares and Mad Hatters breathing down his neck at last. Boehner sought procrastination of a Barack-Obamian kind, agreeing with the president to postpone a confrontation over the unresolved 2011 Federal budget twice.

The Planet Uranus, astrological ruler of "wacky".

It was inevitable. Most likely an attempt to buy time to restore House Republican discipline and order. Time passed the threatened strike down of government by weeks and inches, worming this rotten apple budget showdown into April — into intemperate times of Uranus entering Aries. Now the suppression of latent riotousness will mug the goody-goody masks. Times of intemperance have come with Uranus (the rebel and chaos maker) transiting the early and most intense degrees of the sign of Aries (ruler of either new beginnings or my way or the highway of impatient will to rashness and riot).

Push will lead to shove, for months to come on the floors of Congress and a real row behind closed doors between the GOP establishment and the Tea Party.

I warned about this back in early November 2010. They are not of one party. The Tea Party is a third party that cannot find political traction unless it adopts the sheep’s clothing of the two-party monopoly tyrannizing open political discourse in America. That is why Rand Paul successfully won playing big cuckoo bird planted in the nest crowding other smaller Republican candidates out of the primary election nest to be successfully elected US Senator of Kentucky in 2010.

What is a cuckoo to do? When Republicans and Democrats rule the political roost, time to plant your egg in one or the other nest. Otherwise, we would have never heard Rand Paul’s father speak in national debates in his bid to become President in 2008, Texas Congressman Ron Paul.

“We have a one-party system,” said Ron Paul. “Both parties endorse the welfare state and corporatism. Both parties support interventionism overseas. But they also write all the campaign laws. Indeed, they’ve made it virtually impossible to break into the monopoly. If I had run on a third-party ticket I wouldn’t have been in the [2008 presidential primary] debates.”

I came across this quote last November. A meditation at that time on Ron Paul’s observation and on the astrology of April 2011 compelled me to presage the following, which I believe House Speaker Boehner, right now, as I write this the night before the shutdown deadline is quietly contemplating as he turns back and forth in his bed. In troubled tobacco tainted, tearful dream he might be recalling his role as the whipping boy beyond closed doors of Tea Party firebrands, rejecting one establishment compromise after another he made with, President Obama and Senator Reid. My oracle had this dream five months earlier:

I predict that after 2011 the Republican leadership will privately consider themselves just as taken for a ride like [Marlowe's Dr.] Faustus: damned because they did and damned if they hadn’t surfed the Tea Party wave back into power in the House of Representatives. The Tea Party is not Republican. It’s a 3rd party in coalition. The GOP has less power than 16 years ago when Republicans by themselves took back both houses of Congress in 1994. The GOP leadership will keep their new House and Senate seats if they do the Tea Party’s bidding not the other way around.

Predictions for 2011
Chapter 3, Big GOPocalyptic Deal!

Boehner is not the only one getting read the Wattsington riot act right now and in the coming months behind closed congressional caucus doors. The oracle is my prescient fly on the wall of those potential meetings five months before they started in March and April of 2011 when it told me this:

Mr. and Ms. Smith of the Tea Party go to Wattsington, helping foment a riotous first and second session of Congress… They face a challenge of principle. The Health Care and budget cutting debates will start in April and put their movement to the test behind closed doors. They will be put on the carpet and told by the Republican political machine who’s the Godfather paying for their rebellion: big business interests.

…Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and others will have their chance to play Jimmy Stewart’s part in the real movie version of Mr. Smith goes to Washington. They might expose just how deep are the tentacles of corporate influence bankrolling the Tea Party and just how these gang-banksters expect this little rebellion to behave and be beholden to them.

Chapter 3, Big GOPocalyptic Deal!

I finished writing this blog just prior to midnight 7 April. (Reader’s Note: I posted it six hours and 45 minutes before the deadline.) Tomorrow, Friday, 8 April, at midnight, Eastern Time, the riot fever erupts in the US Capitol. It will start in the chambers of Congress and escalate. The budget of 2011 will eventually be slap-dashed together after a shut down threat leads to legislators telling each other to “shut up and push forward” to a far bigger and intractable debate: the budget of 2012. This is the first skirmish in months of in-fighting and political cat fighting that will rage into the summer. Political rioters on the Left and Right will spread their bad temper beyond the posturing and the harsh words on the floors of the House, the Senate, the Oval Office and the talking cable net-heads. Bad blood will sooner than later spill out into the streets in demonstrations, strikes and real riots by the time we enter the long and globally warmed hot and hurricane driven summer of 2011. Nearly every state capital building and most certainly the US Capitol Building itself, will be crowded with strikers.

In my next blog (if not inserted in the next few days on this blog page because of rapidly changing events), we most likely will return to the theme of Gaddafi and the Arab Revolutions in general as the catalyst of World War III. Gaddafi’s forces at the moment threaten to converge on Benghazi once again, as the rebel Libyan rout that can’t shoot straight speeds eastward down the desert coastal road like Mad Max running out of gas heading for “Barter Town” Benghazi.

What could be next?

Is America about to find itself falling to desert earth, stuck on the ground in its THIRD bloody Islamic regional quagmire since 2001 decade?

Will we witness US Federal Budget plans tossed and torn like a teddy bear by kindergarten legislative tantrums in Washington while yet another ill conceived US military adventure and economy-ball-breaker in the Muslim world falters?

I wonder. I just marvel at the gathering insanity of our times. It is what many native prophetic traditions foretold would happen down the next 30 years. A wave of irrationality overtaking us between now and through the 2040s.

Will events continue to line up with what my oracle last year warned for April onwards?

We pass through the dangerous aperture opening in April through July of the oracle’s prophetic snap shot that captured the potential return of a global Great Depression.

In my next blog I will warn people living in my corner of the Pacific Rim — especially those living along the US West Coast — to brace for the next significant earthquake event. Earth’s most seismically active tectonic “Ring of Fire” along the coasts circling the Pacific Ocean has one quadrant whose long dormant period is coming to an end, starting sometime after the First Quarter Moon on 11 April.

I am concerned that earthquakes of 5 to 6 magnitude could hit the Pacific Northwest around or the week after the Full Moon on 17 April. I am especially concerned for San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico around the Scorpio Full Moon on 17 May when Mercury and Venus pass into exact conjunction in Taurus with Mars in near conjunction.

The May full moon is otherwise known in the East as the Wesak Full Moon, celebrated by meditators of Buddhism is considered the most powerful of the year, spiritually speaking. It is said that Buddha was born, became enlightened and later died on three May full moons framing his first and second births and death at 84 around 25 centuries ago. One would hope meditation could influence and still the movement of mountains and tsunami tides. The inner eye in turbulent times can become still by the practice of self-observation.

Let the world shake. Let the inner world be serene and still.

From the letter’s I’m getting since I posted the great GOP Prophet “Horton” on 19 September, most of you enjoyed the biblical romp and thought it funny. And even though you’ll find in my satire that I equally and playfully savaged my politically Left, Right and my extreme Right Wing readers, one grumpy group of mostly Caucasian men and women, forty-something and older, were quite p. o-ed. Nearly all those who took offense or hated my satire belong to the Tea Party movement. What follows is my answer to Georgia’s critique and her Tea Party Prophecy. (Please note that I have left her punctuation mistakes and misspellings as they are. That seems to be another common problem with most of my Tea Party commentators. They don’t correct their mistakes… English mistakes, I mean.)

GEORGIA
Good Lord, I have never read such drivel in ny life as your take on “donkeycrats” and “pink elephants” ad nauseum. And I do enjoy satire as well as recognize what it is but your dissertations went far beyond reason and ended up being thrown in the trash bin by me.

HOGUE
Correction. You seem to enjoy satire as long as it isn’t clowning around with your cherished political and religious point of view.

GEORGIA
I think you enjoy throwing around linguistic acrobatics as i have accused you of before.

HOGUE
I do. I had a great time writing it. And I have had a good and healthy laugh at myself every time I read it.

I have a sense of humor.

A lot of you who are into prophecy are a very anal and serious lot. Seriousness is a sickness often misinterpreted as sincerity. Sincerity is a gravitas that can laugh.

GEORGIA
So stop trying so hard to impress us with your VAST vocabulary. You sound silly I realize you are very intelligent (true) and exceptionally good at prognosis so don’t think I am dissing you.

HOGUE
I intended to sound silly. I’m not afraid to show my vulnerability, my silliness. I am not a serious man. Moreover, if you can recognize my exceptionally good prognosis of future trends, just remember that it is my capacity to be silly and non-serious that makes that possible. I aim to be remembered as a wise old clown.

THE GREAT TEA PARTY PROGNOSTICATION OF “GEORGIA”

The tea party is going to effect a rout this November, and probably will kick out most all if not all incumbents and then embark on a crusade to investigate Obama and his nefarious schemes and his entire administration of crooks and I would not be surprised if they impeach him for high crimes and misdemeanors for refusing to secure our borders among many other crimes. What is coming is not merely a political earthquake — its going to be outright anihilation and wipe out from the bottom up to the inside out Its going to “fundamentally transform America” back into w3hat it REALLY WAS AND IS SUPPOSED TO BE and most assuredly NOT what Obama has arrogantly thought he could so. What a fool he is. He certainly does not know the Amercan people because not only is he not going to do what he set out to do, what he tried to do is going to be his demise.

Dear readers, stare into the face of the kind of hysterical and amassing anger that is indeed on the march. American fascism looks like this, writes like this, threatens like this. Look what my satire has exposed for you to see? Humor has the power to expose a humorless and hateful mindset.

My goal by writing my last blog of puns is accomplished. It has helped expose the political savagery that may lead to a mandate this November of manic and irrational anger, full of its own sweeping slogans and fury signifying no practical solutions, overtaking the House and the Senate.

Take Georgia sincerely. She is giving honest voice here to what many in the Tea Party movement authentically feel and intend to accomplish: a tear-it-all-down mentality with little thought to the aftermath or consequences. The movement is being overtaken by a real sense of collective anger. The anger of the mob.

I say they are right to be angry about how the leadership in Washington from White House to Capitol Building is getting farther out of touch with the problems of regular citizens. The danger is ever present that rightful public anger can be directed by cynical forces into a mob to affect a destructive outcome. It’s like the anger we saw in the 1960s during the civil rights struggle when enraged people in the ghettos rioted against perceived and authentic injustices only to burn down their own neighborhoods in a mass, mindless catharsis.

Washington DC has become a ghetto, impoverished by partisanship. You can throw the bums out, but what do you put in their place? An angry mob of legislators is still a mob. You can riot in the inner city of our political discourse but what do you do with the burned out hole the day after the Watts riot in Wattsington DC?

Irrationally angry people power taking over Congress and its committees could bring back McCarthyism — this time a grass roots Aquarian Age version of a political witch hunt. A new Tea Party dominant Congress may have more than one Senator McCarthy setting up a committee to expose un-American activities in a new purge of public servants and citizens.

“We’ll take our country back!” Sarah Palin and Glen Beck pronounce often, fists clenched, banging podium or TV anchor’s desk with a virulence directed against any civil opposition to their view of what is American being some kind of disease that needs elimination from the public discourse. Georgia in her prophecy elaborated in strident upper case that the Tea Party will, “‘fundamentally transform America’ back into what it REALLY WAS AND IS SUPPOSED TO BE.” More than implying with her threats of impeachment of Obama that it most assuredly will NOT include a large portion of Americans who support his policies. The opposition will not merely be voted out. He, and they will be impeached.

“Its going to be outright annihilation!” enthuses Georgia, “[A] wipe out from the bottom up to the inside out.”

This future could happen.

First Obama is branded Socialist, but it won't end there. Next will be George Washington. After that, you perhaps, if you are not uber-American enough?

If you want it to happen, march in goose step to your ballot box with her and take back the House and Senate in November. Give the American Flag the old Boy Scout salute and cry in rhythmic chants “Hail Victory! Hail Victory!” at your American flag draped party rallies in stadiums teaming with serried ranks of true Americans.

Now let’s get to business. Purge Washington of all the sub-Americans.

Do you think it will stop in Washington, my readers?

Do you want to prevent that future?

It will take another movement. One that finds a more measured way to put your above-it-all passive-aggressive president, lobby-bought-off Congress and their two-party duopoly in their places — serving you and not the special interests of big money. Otherwise, hysterical anger will overtake the body politic of America and be used ultimately as a destructive force. In the name of constitutional reform the corporate class will use your amassed anger to destroy those things in the government and the constitution that inhibit their ambition which is to turn this North America nation into a South American CEOlygarcy.

Georgia, your prophecy, if fulfilled, will have an unintended consequence: Your anger will be exploited to make America even less recognizable to you than it is now. America won’t be taken back, it will be taken away from you.

People are rightfully angry. Big governments, big banks and corporate handlers who hold their leashes have had their bailouts, kept their jobs, been rewarded record breaking bonuses for bringing on the worst recession since the 1930s. They still have their heath care. Their homes. Their 41Ks.

What about most of you? Are “you” out of the recession yet?

Not me.

People with politically Left, Right or Centrist views are growing more desperate. They don’t have a lot of options. And those corporatists who are bankrolling a lot of the Tea Party candidates are ensnaring these mostly good people into another system of control. These big money folks are riding atop your rightful collective anger but they are spurring and whipping you hard to charge hell for leather into the mouth of a political future that is extreme and ultimately fascist.

The big money boys want to use the Tea Party not to reform government but skin it alive. They want to use your vote of anger as a destructive force to establish their dominion in government’s place.

Over the decades I’ve offered a view quite unpopular in free market worshiping America fighting an economic and political struggle against communism during the Cold War. Democracy is not a friend of big business. Fascism or a capitalistically tolerant Communism is. The economic explosion of growth in China vindicates this view.

Look at China. Look at their booming economy under a Communist totalitarian regime. The good Tea Party people are being used by those in a cynical CEOlygarcy to deconstruct American democracy for their own profit, not yours.

Democracy by its nature is too citizen motivated. It has watchdogs. It has dissenting views requiring compromises. It can if it chooses to do so reform banks, break up anti-trust monopolies.

The big money men in Germany during the early 1930s pulled political strings to make Adolf Hitler Chancellor of Germany in a coalition government. When he used that post to launch his dictatorship, German economists got filthy rich putting Hitler’s Third Reich back to work to prepare for a Second World War.

With that said, the consciousness of CEOs and what they supply can be changed by what the people dictate with their demands.

Who builds their empires but you? Who buys their products but you? You have this power over them. You need to claim it, use it; otherwise, in the void of your unintelligent, unengaged behavior — filling the gulf of your unconscious habit to be manipulated and accept disempowerment — is the darkly motivated members of the CEOlygarcy who dictate to you what they will supply and tell you what you will demand in your products, your lives, your government.

If you no longer buy what they’re selling, they’ll have to change their mindset to stay in business. If you demand a better world, they will have to supply it.

That is why the people of America need to withdraw from balancing on the sharp edged extremes of the political left and the right to find common ground and common shared purpose. Stray on the sharp extremes too long and see yourselves sliced deeper into division and painful political dismemberment. To assuage this pain, you might do what the Germans did in the 1930s. You too may seek a dictatorial solution to national disorder.

A third party movement is absolutely needed to break “PolitiCorp” CEO control of the Democrat-Republican Party duopoly overlording and dividing political concord in the United States. It’s not the current Tea Party. That’s only a shaky start of this ultimately positive process.

I foresee a Party of Americans that seeks to look beyond their differences and find shared purpose and values — thus acting on these, finding a happy balance between individual freedom and community needs. Only such a Third Party movement has a chance to avert America’s flirtation with fascism.

Perhaps it is time to wipe the dust from that old family bible & see what God has in mind for the future of mankind since we have made such a mess of this world; and we have. John the revelator says he was ‘in spirit’ when he was shown a vision of man’s future while exiled on Patmos. Revelation 21 shows a whole new world that God will create at some future moment. I find that as something to look forward to.

The feeling or deep desire for a new start runs in many religious traditions. It is a prophetic will to power a house clean.

Roman Emperor Domitian exiled St. John the little Aegean Island of Patmos in A.D. 95. Holed up in his cave, John composed the most famous prophetic housecleaning (house-rub-outing) of the Earth. A fundamental question must be asked. What was St. John’s state of sanity when he wrote the Book of Revelation?

The last time someone tried to give John of Patmos a thorough psychological examination was in Apocalypse and the writings on Revelation by D. H. Lawrence. He penned this small book just before he died in Provence, France, of tuberculosis at the age of 44. I too share Lawrence’s view that much of John of Patmos’ macabre vision is coming from his suppressed frustrations at being exiled by Rome. I would add that his all-time end-time grump set to parchment arose from a scarred mind of someone with post-traumatic disorder. Who really knows? Maybe he was a survivor of the Roman sack and slaughter of Jerusalem in 69 C.E.

The message passed through a broken medium. The Hebrew Prophet Daniel’s end-time revelation in the Nevi’im is the language of a mystic. John’s second-rate and hyperbolic rehash of Daniel is written in the language of an angry mad man. Daniel’s book is psychic. John’s is Psychotic. Also, there are fundamental points in his narrative that clearly show he intended his prophecy for his own immediate future and not for our times. (See 666). So, if what I’m saying is true, then to summon up desire of God or anybody else to end this world is a mistake. It’s lust for ending life from one who gave up on the world.

It is an anti-life religious disorder overtaking its victims in two phases. I first described them in detail as Prophaganda (a desire to foresee the end of a world one does not understand or hates) followed by Armageddonomics (the economics of doom). Prophaganda is the hypnotic suggestion the mafia of priests and reverends use to condition believers to abuse and make the destruction of the world happen as a self-fulfilling prophecy. The usual habit is to put all that is wrong about the mess of the world on man not following God’s will. I think the future will see it differently. The blame is on God making a stupid world construct.

Why create duality?

Why create sin?

God is ultimately responsible for sin. He will have to punish us shirking our responsibilities but not punish Himself when he is the father of response-ability. He’s the creator. Thus, he has created all and everything, right? Before there was the word and God created heaven and earth, before all of that, was there any good or evil? Did God not also create these when he created the context of duality?

Back in 1980, before I left America to see India and meet Osho for the first time, I used to work at a head and occult supply shop in Ports of Call, San Pedro, California. The owner of the establishment, in my opinion, pandered to the cliché sensationalism of the occult by calling the establishment “The Prophet.” No picture of Kahil Gibran but a sign at the bottom of the stairway leading into the second floor shop with a stereotypical image of a black cat and a cauldron. If ever there was a rancid meat mirage to attract flies of evangelical attention, this sign did the trick. They came up our stairs daily to save us. The owner didn’t have to deal with them daily, but her employers did.

"For Madmen Only: Price of Admission, Your Mind" was my first read of Osho's one-on-one counseling of devotees. Pay with your mind sounds like brainwashing? I hope so. Since I read this book back in 1980 I've been trying to wash my brain each moment of all the identity, conditioning and crap society has put there with Osho's meditations. It's good to be clean.

For today’s blog, I recall two finely dressed male saviors who begged to remind me that Satan created sin in the world. I thought I’d try to test their theology with a question inspired by something I’d just read in For Madmen Only, my first book of Osho’s spiritually iconoclastic writings.

I said, “OK, I get it, Satan created sin but who created Satan?”

That question took them aback and one replied after thinking it over, saying, “God created Lucifer the angel who then decided to become ‘Satan.’ That was his free choice given by God to be evil rather than devote himself to God’s good.”

“Good,” I said. “Quite right. But who is responsible for creating Lucifer? Had Lucifer not been created, had God not given Lucifer the power to go astray… Golly, if God hadn’t even created the notion of ‘going astray’, would we have ‘Satan’ this evangel of ‘sin’?”

The evangelical duo went silent. Neither could give me an answer.

I pressed my point, “The source of evil was Satan, who was Lucifer, who was created by God. Thus, God is ultimately responsible for evil, is he not?”

One of the two faith-fettered fellows to his credit saw the logic and had to say yes. They departed quickly from The Prophet with a desire to tell further biblical “tales” tucked between their legs.

Osho, formerly known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. If something deep inside is stirred by looking into this face. Thus if God is the creator of all, therefore even evil is his responsibility. He need not give people a choice to do good or evil. He could have just created a universe of bliss and peace.

Why did God create disharmony? The Bible in all its evolutions lead to the psychotic prophecies of St. John as its penultimate accomplishment. Even Steven King couldn’t “right” a more vengeful and censuring horror story about the ultimate criminal punishing his creations. Upon reflecting on St. John’s final psychotic book punctuating as last word the “good news” of the Bible, there’s only one revelation worth keeping. God couldn’t have channeled the bible. Men channeled it.

What they call “god” is just the message of their subconscious minds, trying to understand the miraculous mystery of divine existence. Men personified this mystery. They made God their ultimate imaginary friend, like children do. He’s bigger than life, just like a child’s immoderate worship of a hero. God judges his world, breaking his toys and creations just like a child having a temper tantrum.

It’s a new era. Time to stop being childish.

That is why Nietzsche was right to provoke the mindset of people by saying, “God is dead!”

“God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we, murderers of all murderers, console ourselves? That which was the holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet possessed has bled to death under our knives. Who will wipe this blood off us? With what water could we purify ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we need to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we not ourselves become gods simply to be worthy of it? There has never been a greater deed; and whosoever shall be born after us — for the sake of this deed he shall be part of a higher history than all history hitherto.” (The Gay Science)

Humanity now is free of imaginary friends. Now we can be godliness itself, sharing divine freedom and the compassionate response-ability that goes on with divine freedom from our imaginary friends. That is our golden future. We are destined to recreate a “new heaven” of inner enlightenment and a “new earth” restored to ecological harmony.

Predictions for 2010

–Plus further predictions for the US Mid-Term Elections–

I documented the prediction (below) on 1 November 2009. It comes from the Chapter Finding your Groove of Greatness. Barack Obama does have the potential as well as the karma to be another Abraham Lincoln. Many of you might not believe it. Like Lincoln, he is making generally a mess of his first few years in office. Lincoln chose the wrong generals. Obama chooses the wrong economic advisors. Still there is progress, albeit a year late. Obama has advanced his Health Care Reform as I predicted he would, despite great resistance in the Congress. The reform is a work in progress. Congress has passed Obama’s Bank and Wall Street Reform. Like Health Care, these economic reforms will take many years of struggle and regeneration to mature. When I wrote the following, Obama was still enjoying an extended honeymoon with the American People. Here is its future foretold followed by today’s assessment:

“The honeymoon of change arriving without the luggage is over by the end of 2009. This perpetual arrival era of Obama’s presidency also ends. The promise of change must ripen into real change starting in 2010 and though Obama has not a civil war to fight [like Lincoln], he has to drag the status quo over the water, and end this tug of war match with real reform destroying the systemically dysfunctional culture of our body politic and body economic. The defeats in battles of bear market runs in Wall Street are waiting, but like Lincoln, Obama must revive the battle hymn of anti-trust laws, and responsible regulation and redouble the attack once more. Mine eyes have seen the monopolies destroying all the jobs. He must fight his battles not pitting blue against gray but a moderately liberal blue opposed to a new and radical red posing as conservative philosophy.”

Assessment
Rumblings of a Euro crisis over Greece overshadow Europe. A Tory led coalition in Britain leads a movement across the Euro-zone promoting austerity measures to bring down national debts. This is in direct conflict with Obama’s philosophy of spend now to stimulate economic growth, then pay down the debt later. Obama’s forward economic progress to recovery has hit an oil slick disaster in the Gulf of Mexico that may later goo up the newest economic bubble. Unemployment check payments are running out for millions. The Gulf’s fishing and tourist industries take a slick slamming. Obama’s mistake (as I foresee it) of a six-month deep drill moratorium slams the last Gulf industry standing. Millions more across a five state region are losing their jobs. A bear market and a new recession loom after the autumn leaves have fallen in 2010.

Sarah Palin goes Grizzly Adams Bear market on the President. She plays Obama’s change game with her own “yes we Ameri-can-ism” charismatic attacks on his administration. Palin is full of hyperbole and fury yet makes that fatal GOP mistake in the mid-terms pontificating that real solutions to our economic problems with a litany of Bushism dogma, such as cutting taxes stimulates growth.

“Where have these people been in the eight years of Sarah Palin’s G.W. Bush-whacking?” say the liberals.

A great leap backwards will not win the Republicans the House and the Senate in November. Beyond the potential pitchforking of incumbents and the potential for tearing the Washington establishment all down at the ballot, the mid-term elections can be a battle of progressively conservative versus progressively liberal ideas.

An extreme right-wing red colors much of the core Tea Party movement, even though many who flock to its mostly incoherent cause are members of what I’ve called in previous books and blogs the “Invisible Majority” of American voters grown disenchanted and feeling politically disenfranchised by the Democrat-Republican duopoly running the Federal and State governments.

These independent voters are not generally extremists but they are politically homeless. As the majority of Americans are a bit right of center in their politics it is understandable that many try out the Tea Party scene, or that they might chose to vote in Tea Party candidates as a kind of protest vote.

If I have read my oracle right the aggregate swing of votes will do more to dilute the Republican Brand than throw the Democrat bums out of House of Reps. and Washington DC homes. Successful primary Tea Party candidates like Rand Paul running for the US Senate seat in Kentucky bumped a mainstream Republican hopeful for the chance. However, like many a Tea Party candidate, his extreme views might alienate the moderate mainstream voters in November.

The Democrats may read the signs better than the Republicans this fall, and gain back momentum. Obama “has” revived a battle hymn of banking and Wall Street reform in 2010 that was missing in 2009. Talk of dismantling banking monopolies to shrink “banks too big to fail” into smaller banks is finding Obama’s political push now. He has also had to listen and learn from blue dog democrats what they demand in legislation to pass Health Care in March without a radicalizing Republican Caucus in Congress. Read more…

“When making my occult enquiries to the oracle I received this message. The road to a second term [for President Obama] is successfully ventured despite what the contentious Democrat legislators and president promise but do not deliver. It has far more to do with the Republican Party losing further seats to Democrats in 2010 because the GOP (the Grand Old Party) devolves farther to the right. The GOP wants to go rogue elephant led by its most ideologically dogmatic core followers marching to the pied piper tunes of the likes of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, right-wing radio rishi Rush Limbaugh and television’s new Mormon messenger Angel Moron-ee, Glen Beck.”

Many of you have been writing me, asking if I would change this prediction.

Let me make this clear, I do not take back this prophecy.

Time and events catching up to my oracle’s cryptic prediction make clear to me what the message of that prophecy was.

The Republicans WILL lose seats in tomorrow’s midterm election. Seats that they will in time surrender to the Democrats two years hence.

The Republicans are not going to win both the House of Representatives “and” the US Senate by one or two seats tomorrow on midterm election day.

The help of candidates of the Tea Party movement will win these seats. They will carry the Republicans on their backs to a breathtaking protest referendum victory against Barack Obama’s first two years in office.

Obama is perceived as being big on wooing and lofty talk about change, but has presented little in “do” and accomplishments.

This is not actually true but truth in politics is irrelevant.

Perception is truth in politics.

Obama has not yet learned how to sustain political momentum and thus his presidency suffers a major midterm setback. I have said since early 2007 that Barack Obama if elected in 2008 will come to his destiny too soon without enough seasoning and maturity. It is better to come to your destiny too soon rather than too late, but coming too soon can see you stumble greatly rather than become a great president.

On 2 November 2010, watch Obama stumble. Greatly!

Obama has the audacity if not yet the reality to hope that he is a great communicator. The cerebral President “Spock” missed an opportunity in his first year in office to gather emotional capital from the American people. The kind of capital of emotional engagement that could have carried him through setbacks in his agenda and found an American people more patient and forgiving by the midterms. Franklin Roosevelt during the last great economic crisis had made that connection. Despite the scandals, the unfulfilled political promises to get America beyond the Great Depression, the equally cerebral Roosevelt learned early on to cultivate an emotional bond with his suffering people in his fireside radio chats. A majority of the people were with him and willing to share his struggles to bring change and better times. Obama, once in office seemed to lose interest or lose focus in that emotional connection.

I remember Obama in 2008 famously criticizing Republican candidate Senator John McCain for not being able to multitask. Desperate to capture the youth vote, he recently appeared on Jon Stewart’s fake news show for Comedy Central giving a rather lame excuse for losing public engagement as if it sounded to me like it was low in priority and the president and his very busy administration were to busy pushing their legislation forward and just didn’t have time.

Obama does not feel our pain in these economically dire times nor has he yet found his voice or figured out how to use this crisis to galvanize citizens to action. That doesn’t mean he won’t learn his lesson after tomorrow’s historic shocker.

In tomorrow’s midterm election, he will lose the House and by the slightest of margins, lose the Senate too.

Make no mistake, though. The Republicans have not “gained” these two houses of Congress.

The Tea Party Caucus will tip the balance for them and the Republican establishment riding rough-shod on the backs of Tea Party anger will take back the gavels of House and Senate halls at the high price of making a Faustian deal with a third party rebellion that will not be tamed.

The Republican establishment rides a mandate of anger. It is a negative and destructive political force if it stays angry. I predict now, as I did exactly one year ago in the following from Predictions for 2010 that an opposition party divided against itself paves the way for a two-term Obama administration. To prevent this happening the GOP has to learn how to adapt its platform to these irrational times.

“The [oracle's] message…is this: we’ve entered for better and worse a more politically socialist era. US Conservatism has a future in this new era. Accessing that future will depend on how long conservatives wish to hold on to the last era’s fundamentally religious and economically Reaganite dogmas keeping them out of power and influence. Depending on the choices made in the 2010 and 2012 elections, conservatives who still identify with the Republican Party could be out of power for two to three presidential four-year cycles.

“The conservative movement in America will eventually morph into something more English and Tory-like in this new socialist era. The Republican Party may not remain the bastion of conservative ideas but a cult of the sharply right wing fringe. A new conservatism will reject many of the great givens of the past, such as President Reagan becoming the head of a government that was the problem, not the answer. Why become head of that which is not the answer? Anyway, seeking to become anti-government government presidents and legislators is an oxymoronic idea about to be oxy-cleaned from the future as an anachronism. In a new century of deepening chaos, a fresh conservatism could defend social and economic order with rationality and logic. Change is the catchword for our times now. Conservatives will someday contribute a new idea of Change that’s more than hoped for and believed.”

Just under five months ago, I expanded upon my midterm election prophecy in the blog article Uranus Retrograde: Chaos we can believe in? In the following passage I spoke of the key astrological influence of Uranus (the ruler of change) retreating while the ruler of status quo limitations and conservative reality checks advanced towards the midterms:

“Starting 7 July [the day of this blog's posting] and intensifying by 21 July, Uranus retreats to its place in a very powerful grand T square with Pluto in Capricorn opposing Saturn in Libra (status quo and reality checks). Pluto in Capricorn defines a generational age, an era of systemic crisis leading either to global civil disorder and fascism or democracy’s renewal between now and the first months of 2024.

“We will be feeling the influence of this powerful T square throughout the summer in extreme heat waves, floods, violent weather, hurricanes, cyclones and typhoons. I would be pleasantly surprised if the world does not endure a major seismic disaster or two between now and Halloween — metaphorical earthquakes that are political, economic and literally seismic.

“A thread of destiny pulls backwards out of the T Square in the guise of Uranus in retrograde, starting mid August, retreating into the spacey sign of Pisces. Expect to see civilization’s rug pulled underfoot starting in mid-August, shaking things up when hidden enemies to change — our collective conditioned reflexes against it — pop out from the undercurrent of mass unconscious from August through to the Christmas Holiday Season. Then Uranus goes direct course on 6 December 2010.”

The summer certainly had its share of lingering triple-digit heat waves, tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons and cyclones. Christchurch, New Zealand was hit by a 7 magnitude temblor. Another 7.7 magnitude quake off Sumatra pushed a tsunami washing away many villages yet as significant as these are, they are not the kind of large scale seismic events seen earlier this year in Chile and Haiti. The year 2010 during the Uranus retrograde did endure a historic natural disaster of another kind. A lingering monsoon deluge flooded a fourth of Pakistan displacing 25 million people.

What about that forecast of a political earthquake by Halloween?

It will come 2 November — a day after the original date celebrating Halloween, All Soul’s Day, 1 November.

Let us examine the astrological makeup of tomorrow’s election day — the most significant US election since the year 2000 saw Al Gore win the popular vote but lose the Electoral College vote to G.W. Bush. Perhaps a basic explanation of tomorrow’s planetary aspects might consciously rather than unconsciously influence your vote.

On Election Day, the Sun (ruler of the ego) will be in Scorpio, the sign of fundamental transformations, death and rebirth. The American world will be greatly changed after 2 November.

Mercury is also in Scorpio and it is sextiled (positively aspecting) the Moon (ruler of emotions) in Virgo. The minds of voters might be moderated by the Moon’s discernment to temper sharp and harsh language, such as what one sees on the placards against Obama in Tea Party rallies or in the angry rancor of leftists and rightists grappling for sound bytes and scratches on Cable TV talking “head job” shows. Mercury in Scorpio can also motivate mistrust. There will be a number of ballot fraud claims because of this. There will be new excuses, some warranted and mostly not, to create new conspiracy theories on both sides of the political spectrum. The mood of mistrust will not bode well for incumbents whether it is earned or unearned. Change for change’s sake is the reasoning of Mercury tomorrow. Damn the consequences. That’s why I think Democrat Senator’s Barbara Boxer of California and Patty Murray of Washington State are likely to lose. So is Democrat Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin.

Venus, (ruler of relationships) on Election Day is also in retrograde, wanting to retreating from past relationships, such as with the president who wooed her so well in 2008.

“You are not the president I married!” cries Venus in Scorpio, while under the sign of passionate yet karmic love relationships. Venus in Scorpio is in its detriment. In a political context, Venus lets passion rule reason in the American Vox Populi.

In short, Obama suffers a lover’s breakup coming on 2 November. His jilted “lover” is the American electorate. They passionately embraced the alluring if vague dream of his 2008 troubadour love song of change they could believe in. Venus in Scorpio when under such affliction can be the catalyst of a love-hate relation-abandon-ship in the works. If there is a perception of being unheard by the lover, or neglected, love can turn to hate and cold indifference. Obama’s independent swing voters followed him to the left in 08. Now watch many of the same voters, mute and indifferent to Obama’s last minute political rallies vote against his party. The thrill is gone. They lurch to the right on Election Day 2010.

There will be some Democratic Party gains in state governor elections: Cuomo in New York, geriatric Jerry Brown in California. A senate victory in Connecticut, yet Republican Pat Toomey will be a new US Senator from Pennsylvania. The Republican Mark Kirk will win Obama’s Illinois Senate seat as well. Tea Party candidate Rubio and Rand Paul will win a Florida and Kentucky Senate seat respectively and I do not rule out significant roles for these Tea Party leaders, rubbing the Republican establishment raw in Washington DC.

Impetuous Mars is in Sagittarius on Election Day. The God of war and new beginnings seeks to be carried off by the enthusiasm of the crusade of disgruntled voters. Watch their exit poll interviews. The voters will be Marian in their directness, in their Sagittarian arrow shots at Obama and the Democrats.

The martial slogan, “Take back America!” will out trump the old “Change we can believe in! “

The new slogan is just as vague-faith based and irrational as the old. The next two years will repeat the last two. These mantras lose their mojo exhausting themselves in their own too often uttered chant, sound and fury, signifying no significant change and definitely no America returned to normal, whatever that ill-defined, chest beaten “normal” might actually be.

Jupiter (the planet of higher expansion) on Election Day is in Pisces in retrograde conjunct wacko Uranus, also in retreat. This configuration of planets in magnified combination and retrograde can give an a more conscious individual the capacity to feel compassion and deep feeling for others, but in politics, the lowest potentials of a mob-ocracy mindset can make the voting public undisciplined, impatient, irascible, expecting too much change to come too soon. They brusquely seek to burn the bridges over from where change might finally arrive.

Saturn in Libra rules the paradigm of accomplishing good through cooperation with others. When afflicted it can help a Supreme Court warp the letter of constitutional law deeming that a corporation is a human being, a citizen with equal First Amendment free speech rights like you or me who do not generally have an army of lobbyists and lawyers, or billions of dollars available to influence campaign advertisements.

These new citizens are more “equal” than you or I during this midterm election. These corporations-cum-citizens can dig deep into their deep transnational company pockets to spend a record breaking half-billion dollars on political campaigns, left-wing or right, without revealing the money bag’s location, even if the cash comes from other nations, like China, trying to influence American elections.

Without such “citizens” the Tea Party, movement would not have been taken for a ride by the Washington DC Republican establishment into the halls of power when the new US Congress convenes in early 2011.

Uranus on election day is also in dreamy, politically delusional Pisces and it will influence a collective subconscious and impractical idealism of those who would replace the vacuous Democrat mantra, “Yes we Can,” with their own simplistic mantra: “Take America back!”

Uranus (ruler of change) retreating will influence a majority of voters to pass a mandate of anger that brings into power legislators that will avoid unpleasant challenges and realities for two years. They may keep planning for the short term, deregulate the banks, avoid the issue of establishing a functioning Health Care system, let the housing bubbles bloom, cut taxes whilst the debt bomb, buried around the corner of America’s near future like a hidden IED is waiting.

Uranus in retrograde will, “Drill baby, drill!” past oil’s peak. There will be no talk of real sacrifice to gain America’s energy independence. The world’s weather will keep changing. Mother Nature’s fevers will rise but denial of global warming will reach even higher temperature levels. America will waste two years it and the world can ill afford to lose. It will not be a leader in the defense against increasing Climate Change unless the President finds that voice as well and leads us there with a public pressuring for congressional support.

The people tomorrow will vote in a historic two years of political gridlock on pressing global issues, such as climate change just as the tipping points of our civilization’s unsustainable consumption of Earth’s resources approach.

Neptune retrograde in Aquarius is like a fog on Election Day, throwing caution and reason aside. The irrational vote is king and crazy talk is the language, paranoia and conspiracies the projection.

Speaking of the heroically crazy, Delaware Tea Party candidate Christine O’Donnell the reformed masturbating witch of Bill Maher’s 1990s show Politically Incorrect will lose her Senate election bid but gain a seat at Maher’s TV panel table. However, there is another contestant running for the unofficial title of weirdest candidate most likely to embarrass herself in the hallowed halls of the US Senate. Yes folks, Sharron Angle, will defeat incumbent Democrat Majority Leader, Harry Reid tomorrow unless Las Vegas can rig the election in his favor.

Last but not least to explain what is the astrological background on election day. This is year two of an era starting in 2008 setting the stage for a history show that won’t exhaust its run until 2024. I speak of the transit of Pluto through the sign of Capricorn. Pluto last passed through Capricorn just shy of 250 years ago. It enjoyed the theater of another Tea Party movement consisting just as the modern day variant did of predominantly white folk, faces painted, clad in exotic costumes, causing a ruckus.

The first Tea Party dressed like American Indians, hatcheting and flinging wooden boxes of tea off British ships in Boston harbor to protest taxation without representation. They also tarred and feathered folk who didn’t agree with them or supported English trade.

The new Tea Party isn’t drop-kicking tea boxes but it will help the Republican party pitch over the side a historic number of incumbents.

It is possible that this new Tea Party movement, like the older one will rapidly move out of its punk rock, feathered and fussing tear-it-all-down phase and let more rational, intelligent and moderate revolutionaries be the founding fathers and mothers of the next Pluto-in-Capricorn American Revolution.

In the 2010 elections and for at least a year further on, the third party movement in America continues its cranky “baby” phase. Like a baby it is impatient, thinking the problems of the land can be fixed by pie-in-the-sky Obamagoguery in 08, yet in two short years starts crying, screaming and throwing tantrums.

It seems to me that baby talk slogans and baby mindedness dominates this first chewed toy block wedge thrust between the Republican-Democrat duopoly. The new political babies with their loud shrieks and crying have stifled a more mature majority who are just like parents who sometimes withdraw into mute and nervous exhaustion trying to comfort a bawling, spoiled child who will not be comforted.

“I want my change I can believe in!!! Boo hoo hoo!”

“I want to take back America!!! Waaah!”

Pre-school politics dominate the opening years of what could eventually become a movement that unites rather than divides Americans. On the other hand, if this tantrum continues in the Congress-turned-political daycare after 2 November 2010 and the silent majority of more moderate parental voices do not hush the crybaby movement’s bawling, the future of America’s political discourse will be an orphan.

In Predictions for 2010, I documented on 1 November 2009 all of my predictons for the coming year. The seismic quakes both earthy and political, the sudden and historic flooding in California in the last few weeks warrants I share with you the following prediction logged back on 1 November for the new year:

The years 2010 through 2011 will see a spike in climate change never before experienced. There will be stronger earthquakes, typhoons, tornadoes and hurricanes, droughts and floods will make all that happened in the 2009 and its far more devastating predecessor, 2008, look tame in comparison. Many of you have written to me about the crescendo of earthquakes hitting the Caribbean region since the first temblor on 12 January stamped out 200,000 lives and counting in Haiti. Now an unnerving string of 5 and 6 point Richter Scale shocks — some of which are not near Haiti itself — visits this heretofore seismically serene and passive area almost daily.

It inspired a reader named Kurtis to log in the commentary box for Nostradamus Predictions, Haiti—1 the following question/comment:

[Are you] keeping track that a 5.0 or 6.0 earthquake has hit almost everyday this week in different countries almost like tic tac toe and what do you think of this? It really feels like any day now there’s another Haiti coming.

Prepare for one of the most significant string of natural disasters packed into one 12-month period in living memory. The world responds to the ending time cycles of many forecast prophetic ages. The year 2012 is only the American Idol darling of the popular media judges. Populist projections of Mayan Prophecy, often overlook in the flash and spaz of doomsday’s fad passing favorite, the mistranslated, misunderstood, sexed up façade of what is merely the 5,000-year Long Count cycle ending and restarting again in the Ancient Mayan Calendar on 21 December 2012.

You don’t have to wait for 2012, ladies and gentlemen. All the blackberry votes for your favorite doomsday date will not give it more talent to fulfill your fears and axis shifting Tilt-alations. We have been in the travail of dying-rebirthing ages since 2008 and you can expect things to ramp up in revolutions from the heavens’ climate to the earth’s roll over and stir the salt waters of vast oceans and your momma’s placenta.

Welcome to the first year of a new wild card decade in prophecy. Existence wants to shake us up on all levels of life with earthquakes in Haiti, political earthquakes in runoff elections in Massachusetts. Be prepared, Obama Nation, to Oboomah one day, Obomb-ah the next. GOPeak today and GOPlummit in mid-term. Watch the two-party duopoly in America come down like a Presidential Palace in Porte-au-Prince in this coming decade as they play a fraud on the voters pretending to shed the duopoly labels and play independent.

We are entering new times when you will see the world change before your first cup of Joe at breakfast. Get used to it. Shake and roll with it. Learn to celebrate its challenges and change its inclinations to make a better destiny for your personal life, your community life, and your relationship with the world around you, by becoming a witnessing world within-you.

Read further in Predictions for 2010 just how the new year is going to make the scene on the wild side.

Back in November 2008 I predicted Democrat Al Franken would win the voting count dispute and take Coleman’s place. Those of you who read my final list of predictions posted on this blog just before the presidential elections know I predicted the Democrats would gain more than 60 seats, even though it was a mathematical impossibility at the time I made the call. My oracle has more than once snatched an accurate forecast from an irrational situation, so I waited to see. It was already onto something as far back as December 2007 when it accurately pinpointed the political future of Al Gore in 08 plus the shape of Congress to come with a little dig at Vice President Cheney for fun.

Now that Vice President Cheney’s term in office is about to end, will a draft movement to compel Al Gore to run for a second term succeed? No. As I said years ago, his window for a second term prophetically yawned wide open for election in 2004. Once those windows shut, history is stingy about opening them again. However, missed opportunities can bring Nobel Prizes. Al Gore, if he does not start taking better care of his health will go down in history as one of America’s greatest Presidents who ever rule solely in the private sector.

I have one more subject on my laundry list before we explore in prophecy the man or the woman who would be elected president in 2008.

Whoever they will be, they will have to wrestle with a new Congress. The Republicans will lose big in House and the Senate elections.

The Republican Party leadership forgot the caveat of the first great Republican President. Abraham Lincoln said, “A house divided cannot stand.” The political karma of 8 years of ruling by division and strengthening your base gave the Republican Congress and President power over a polarized nation. The country is tired of it. A house divided for eight years will see the House and Senate united under new majorities. The Democrats will get 60 seats in the Senate and achieve a two-third majority in the House of Representatives. The party that embraces the aspirations and hopes of independent voters has a future. No others.

ASSESSMENT:
Gore did not run for President despite the fact that when I wrote it there was a big push by many Democrats to compel him to run. The 60-seat majority became official today with Republican Coleman conceding defeat when the Minnesota State Supreme Court rejected his recount complaint. He could have extended his fight into federal courts for eight more months but fortunately thought about serving the people of Minnesota and the nation rather than serving his political hubris. Perhaps Coleman self-served his political ambitions to run as Governor, which he will indeed do, and I predict he will win next year.

I would add that more defections of Republican moderates might be on the way, taking the count beyond 60 seats.

A two-third majority in the House of Representatives requires 290 seats warmed by Democrats. At the current seat warming of 257 Dems to 178 Republicans, my prophecy is close but off by 33 seats. At best I could say that prophecy if eventually correct would have to rely on a further meltdown of the Republican Party reduced to its core extreme right wing legislative members. Right now, I cannot see how they could lose an extra 33 seats unless their soul searching and political self-destructive process continues into the mid-term elections of 2010.
