UPDATE: November 9, 2011:

This article below was posted eight days ago on 2 November. As I read it again today, I see little reason to refresh the page because much of what I predicted back then is happening and further forecasts continue to happen in the developing story of the euro crisis, being that the financial farce of the Greek default crisis spreads uncertainty that Italy, as I predicted below last week, will be next.  Currently, governments in both countries are playing musical chairs, but their problems remain.

Italian leader, Berlusconi, pledges to to step down, but will a shuffling of politicians in Italy end the crisis? Doubtful.

What is also significant today is the fulfillment of Wall Street catching the euro union default cold with a significant market plunge of -389.24 points. Italy, the third biggest market in the Euro zone after Germany and France and the country with the third largest debt in the world is next. It would seem the Euro financial crisis is set to become the 11th catastrophe for the year 2011 happening in its 11th month. This may lead to the breakup of the Euro monetary union in 2012.

I am saving my oracle’s detailed prediction about this for a chapter about next year’s global economic fate, which I intend to publish in early December for Predictions for 2012. I am very busy with finishing that book right now, so it is with some dubious relief that the accuracy of my 2 November posting of this article (below) requires I pull myself away only for an hour to add this update today.

Before I get back to 2012, I must mention the other big news item: all the recent saber rattling over Iran because of the recent IAEA report that at least vindicates what my oracle said is Iran’s real effort, to at least gain enough knowledge through weapons experiments to someday build nuclear weapons. The capability to make such is still four years down future history’s road (see Nostradamus Iran predictions).

Israel bristles and threatens. Netanyahu, who once promised to strike Iran if made prime minister again,  ordered a successful test firing of a Jericho ballistic missile capable of striking Iran with conventional or nuclear warheads. He resumed drills of the Israeli  Air Force. Jet engines thunder over the eastern Mediterranean as they are once again put through bombing drills in a frequency not seen since 2006-2007. Many of you are asking, Is war imminent?

My answer is still no. The war is four years away, according to the astrology of Nostradamus’ prophecies about it. I am concerned though with astrological aspects in the summer of 2012 that might bring that window of war far closer than my oracle believes. You will read my augured findings when I publish my annual e-book  almanac, hopefully in early December, in a chapter entitled “Hot Crises in a Cold Depression”. November 1st was once the real Halloween (All Souls Day). It begins the month with a far scarier story of economic tricks in Europe running out of euro treats. Something I have been warning would be one of the next of 12 catastrophes of the year 2011.

There have been many upheavals this year but beyond that events that break some historic record or send history into uncharted territories not seen in living memory of people and in some cases even the memory of nations has taken place every month in 2012. The catastrophes have been natural, political, climate changed or economic disasters. For instance:

January: Queensland Australia inundated by monster floods, 200,000 people displaced.

February: Arab revolutions spread across the Middle East.

March: The fifth largest earthquake in recorded history; a 9.0 earthquake followed by a giant tsunami, rocks, then drowns then irradiates Japan in the island nation’s worst disaster since the devastation of the Second World War. The waves cause reactors at Fukushima to meltdown. Fukushima becomes the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl in 1986.

April: Catastrophic super-cell tornadoes kill hundreds across Alabama and the southern US States leaving behind death tolls and damage not seen since the 1920s.

May: the Mississippi River suffers worst flooding in 70 years. Two hundred thousand acres of prime farmland crops destroyed, Memphis flooded as well as the states of Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas and large parts of Louisiana in the path of the damns on Mississippi levies opened to save New Orleans.

June: The Missouri River floods to record levels. Waters surmount sandbags at a nuclear reactor at Fort Calhoun, Nebraska and for a few hours America, nearly has its own Fukushima disaster. Mainstream new avoids the story.

July: Triple-digit, 100-plus degree Fahrenheit drought in Texas destroys its corn, wheat and peanut crops to an estimated $5 billion loss. North America’s summer-long heat waves by July have clocked 1,400 triple-digit record-breaking temperature reports across the US Midwest and Southwest. Some cities in Texas endure triple-digit temperatures for over 40 days straight

August: US leadership suffers a historic loss of credibility when a debate about the US debt ceiling being raised nearly saw the US government default on its debt on August 1. The consequences: the worst stock market drop since the Great Recession began in 2008 and the US losing its premium credit rating for the first time in its history.

September: A month of Historic floods! They inundate the Atlantic seaboard states and New England falling from the remains of Hurricane Irene. The following week a second wave of floods visit the same region from remnants of Tropical Storm Lee. Over in Asia Typhoon Roke sends storm surges and mudslides over the regions of Japan devastated by the March quake and tsunami. The floods across the US Atlantic states made the Irene-Lee event one of the ten costliest property damage disasters in US history.

October: Monsoon fury drenches Eastern India (as I predicted would happen in Predictions for 2011). Three quarters of Thailand were inundated in the nation’s worst natural disaster in its history.

Some of my American readers might argue that the rare and unseasonal Halloween Nor’easter blizzard sending millions of households in 15 Atlantic and New England States in the dark should be 2011’s disaster number 10 for October. Three climate changing punches to the US northeast: Irene, Lee now this! Moreover, 1.5 million homes across 15 states were still out of power when November came. Now even the right-wing climate change debunking, billionaire Koch brothers’ financed investigation into the world’s weirding weather has concluded that climate change is real and leading civilization to an uncertain sustainable future.

And now November’s big disaster… What will it be?

Perhaps it will be something I wrote about over a year before when preparing Predictions for 2011:

The contagion of a European bank crisis in 2011 could easily spread around the world infecting the interconnected US and Chinese banks. If Europe goes deeper into recession, it affects Chinese imports and US business. Wrestling with a zombie EU Bank crisis, European leaders will test the waters of austerity programs finding they make for a more shaky European banking system.

A Cold Depression, like a Cold War

Since writing the above, I have watched the global casino economies of Europe change the house rules of their gambling addictions to postpone an inevitable reality. Beware of Greeks bearing euros. Greece will default on its debt.

I have watched the markets fly into the stratosphere when the gaming pumped up the market with Trojan horse hopes only to plummet when the bubble of hope burst an Achilles’ tendon against mathematical realities. (Now there’s a mixed metaphor!).

Don’t get me wrong. I love Greece and its people but the Greek economic philosophy of live high and pay later (if at all) reminds me too much of the impossible schemes and scams of my favorite mythological man from Hellas, Zorba the Greek, all falling down into a great catastrophe worthy of celebrating afterwards with a dance on the beach. The Greek economy is a problem that cannot be salvaged. The people of Hellas will have to go, like Orpheus, bravely, playing music from a harp and dancing if possible, down into and eventually out of the darkness of Pluto’s economic underworld paying more than a few golden coins to the German bankers playing the boatman Charon for water taxi trip across the river Styx to debtor’s Hades.

Metaphorically speaking, Greece once had three pillars to hold up its Parthenon temple to the Goddess-bitch of excessive spending beyond her means. The first financial pillar – or pillory – sustaining the Modern Greek state was its heavily aided status as a bulwark for European nations against the spread of the Ottoman Empire. Then, after the Ottoman Empire collapsed at the end of the First World War, the Greeks once again became a bulwark after the Second World War, against the spread of communism. It eventually received billions throughout the long, and cold, war in US aid to shore up its economy and keep the commies out. Ship building was Greece’s second “pillar” sustaining it through the rest of the 20th century as was the third: tourism.

On comes the 21st century. The cold war had ended. Communism collapsed and with it, Greece stopped getting cold war aid. What about being a bulwark against Turkey once again? Tensions continued with Turkey, true, but the latter was a NATO ally and being wooed by the European Union. There goes the first pillar.

Greece by the time of the new century had lost its second pillar too, container ship manufacturing. That happens now in the shipyards of Asia and China.

That leaves one last pillar holding the completely rotten economic temple in the air, tourism and that pillar is not enough to keep the Greek economy from collapse.

So here are the hard facts that all Euro bankers and leaders must face eventually. Greece will eventually leave the monetary union. The immediate impact will be a financial haircut for other euro nations that invested in Greek banks to the tune of staunching the bleeding of the euro bank system with 400 billion euros. Once Greece has departed for Hades, the wealthier euro toting nations like Germany, Holland and France will have to find, or print another infusion of 2 trillion Euros to prevent Italy and Spain following Greece into Dante’s Inferno.

Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou has been so politically damaged by weeks of rioting in Athens and his midnight votes on EU union austerity cuts and taxes on his people that such draconian measures might lead to Greeks demanding a return to the drachma. He tossed the future of his government into the air this week by requesting an up or down referendum vote by the Greek people whether they want to stay in the euro union or return to the drachma. If the referendum happens at all it may not take place until January, leaving months of financial uncertainty for Europe and the global economy. The Greek people in general view the referendum with cynicism feeling damned if they do stay with the euro because that would lock in the austerity debt reduction programs, or damned if they don’t stay with the euro, for that brings default and economic collapse. Before any referendum can go forward, the Papandreou government may be soon out of a job because they face a no-confidence vote this Friday

Greeks rioted in Athens off and on since June 2011 over draconian austerity measures announced by their government to keep the country from economic collapse.

Rumor has it in Athens that the no confidence vote will be a Greek tragedy in the making, dooming the Papandreou government. Greeks will then gather to the ballot boxes on a temporary break from national strikes and rioting to vote in a new government with unknown consequences. The 17 nations using the euro currency wait for the no-confidence vote coming Friday. Papendreou’s defeat would threaten Greek default if voters reject his government. In the meantime, the euro’s value falls. Chinese manufacturing slows and as European bankers sneeze, Wall Street catches the cold depression with a nearly 300 point drop in the Dow Jones Tuesday, which together with Monday’s plunge totals one of the worst two-day drops since August 2011 when America lost its top credit status.

The disastrous black Monday and Tuesday market drops on Halloween and All Soul’s Day are perhaps a reaction in the markets to the first US investment bank casualty of euro uncertainty, MF Global, which filed for bankruptcy early this week after disclosing a euro debt of $6.4 billion. It is the seventh largest bankruptcy by assets in US history. Thus shares in Deutcshe Bank and JPMorgan, its chief creditors, took a dive at the news because MF Global owes them 2.2 billion. It smells like the beginning of a US banking crisis the likes of which happened in 2008, though this time caused by a financial crisis outside of America. MF Global may be the new Lehman Brothers causing a Lehman-like Lemming charge of bankster hamsters over the insolvency cliff if (when) Greece defaults.

A year ago, I wrote about the American economy’s susceptibility to a euro banking crisis as the key to a return to double-dip recession. I have described our current economic era as a Cold Depression. The global economy since the Great Recession began in 2008 is like a cold war in a standoff mode, perhaps for decades to come. Just one wrong move in the markets or in banking circles or in nations like Greece, or Italy defaulting on their debts can make along and cold depression go suddenly “hot” like the Great Depression of the 1930s. In my essay published on 21 December 2010, I pinpointed the Cold Depression’s economic hot spots that are comparable to regional hot spots one saw in the US-Soviet standoff of decade’s duration:

The new “Middle East” of a Cold Depression is the EU and the United States. The world will focus on them, obsess on their gridlocked stances on economic issues, etc. and worry that these monetary and industrial flash points can heat the whole Cold Depression hot for everyone else if the rest of the world doesn’t get more involved in helping them settle their disputes.

Cold Depressions will have “money wars”. The Fed tampering with US dollar devaluation and frictions about the Chinese Renminbi being too undervalued, are factors for economic crisis moving beyond the window I predicted opening in October 2010, deep into the times of 2011 to 2012.

2012 is coming. The Maya may have marked it as history’s real turn of the millennium. The rest of the prophetic time clocks may have been wrong by a dozen years. It certainly seems that way with euro banks foundering to riverbanks flooding, super-cell tornados rampaging. Typhoons hitting countries like the Philippines with a one-two punch in invasions of storm less than four days apart.

What is happening? Have the Mayan prophecies been vindicated or will we make 2012 one of the most significant years in human memory because of our actions leading to apocalyptic as well as revelatory reactions?

Right now my oracle has me feverishly working on a forecast for next year that will appear in my next new e-book Predictions for 2012.

There is a lot of sensational rumor leaking out of the FBI like a broken inkwell for thumbprints, black and obscure, very messy! Apparently an Iranian-US citizen acted as go-between on visits to Teheran with operatives of the al-Quds Revolutionary Guards to pay for and hire Mexican cartel hit men to cross the US border and assassinate the Saudi Arabian Ambassador. They would throw a bomb into his lunch plate at a crowded local restaurant in Washington DC then hurl bombs at the Israeli Embassy. The blood money pledged was ridiculously low for any Mexican cartel to reap the whirlwind of US retaliation, a mere 1.4 million bucks. That will get you  a sack of cocaine.

I have watched Iran since my Boeing 747 Air India flight made a memorable midnight run over the Persian Gulf during the first week of the Iran-Iraq War in September 1980 while I was on my way to meet Osho in India for the first time.

The details coming out of FBI agent’s mouths – and flummoxing Senators debriefed on 13 October by such – are as clouded as Octopus ink and it is just as fishy. The whole story stinks to me.

It stinks of right-wing elements in the US and Israeli governments waving a false flag. These elements would still like to see plan B of their strategic goals achieved even in an Obama first or second term. This newly “discovered” Iran terror plot sounds like a semi-fictional incident (like WMDs in Iraq). It is intended to distract people away from a growing Occupy Wall Street national now “international” movement and perhaps distract people’s attention in Israel away from the steady progress of the Palestinian Authority towards some form of sovereign status in the United Nations by “trick or treat” time – Halloween.

It seems like a good time for government back door propaganda to stifle dissent in America and Israel with an ultimate and nationally uniting action. Let us make up a war with Iran and in the venture take down its Islamic Fundamentalist Theocracy. This whole terror plot smells of shadow elements in the Israeli and American governments that would like to accomplish the destruction of the Iranian regime.

That aim has been the Zionist/Neo-Conservative agenda fomented by the former Vice President Dick Cheney as far back as 1992 when Cheney as editor and a future G.W. Bush deputy Secretary of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz, authored the Neo-Con movement’s first of many evolving manifestos published after the fall of the Soviet Union. These sought to convince Americans of a new enemy to sustain the military industrial complex of the US superpower after the end of the Cold War. After the Soviet colossus fell Iraq and Iran, modestly if fairly fit the bill. They both were radically governed nations bestride some of the largest oil reserves in the world that sustained the United States “and” Western civilization with crude oil. These rogue regimes, perhaps rightfully, had to go, either by economic pressure or through unilateral invasion if global consensus was not forthcoming.

The Neo-Conservatives moved from theory to power in 2001 with G.W. Bush’s administration initially crowding their number in top cabinet posts.

Bill Kristol is the current editor of the Weekly Standard and a number of Neo-Con papers including one published in September 2000 just before the Bush-Gore presidential debates musing about the need for a “Peal Harbor” event to advance Neo-Conservative agendas. Kristol, who like many Neo-Cons enjoys dual citizenship as an American and Israeli citizen, and who also think tanks for Israeli foreign policy, has called for open war with Iran saying about this recently exposed terror plot, “We have an engraved invitation.” Since 1998, Kristol lobbied for war with Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq and said a fortnight after the 9/11 attacks in 2001 that “even if evidence does not link Iraq directly to the attack, any strategy aiming at the eradication of terrorism and its sponsors must include a determined effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power." Kristol advocated this stance in 2002 through early 2003 as a board member to the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq that lobbied hard to successfully convince Congress to vote G.W. Bush war powers to invade Iraq.

In 2000, a Neo-Con manifesto openly pondered the need for a “Pearl Harbor event” to hasten their goals. Surprise, surprise! They got one on 11 September 2001 with al-Qaeda’s aid. Now they had their national emergency and Congress grasped by its left or right leaning “balls.” The Neo-cons could make their puppet president do or say whatever they wanted because the hysteria of national unity stifled rational critics. By false flag WMD scares, they succeeded in 2003 taking down Iraq’s Saddam Hussein regime. Iran was next.

US Plans for war studied and rehearsed from 2004 through 2006 were so brazen that I felt it was time to collect Nostradamus’ many references to a war in our future between Israel and America versus Iran because it seemed imminent. The first of two astrological windows for war were open during 2007. If the first closed, the next window would open in the near future in not far off 2015-2016.

In 2006, I began composing an e-book that matched up Nostradamus prophecies with the lightly veiled apocalyptic motives of leaders in the three potential combatant states. First in America’s highest office you have evangelical Christian war hawks in the Neo-Conservative cabinet of a president who famously said that “God” told him to invade Iraq and Iran was next. You had similar latter-day aspirations murmured by the Israeli cabinet and prime minister – some openly musing that war with Iran would be a portent for the Jewish Messiah soon to come. You had Iranian President Ahmadinejad loudly and notoriously proclaim his apocalyptic aspirations for Israel being “wiped off the map of history.” Even now the Iranian president opens every public speech, even before the United Nations, with a prayer for the return of the Mahdi. He is the 12th Imam, the final prophet who will reappear from his occultation to bring on an Islamic Armageddon that will take back al-Quds (the Iranian name for Jerusalem) and make the surviving Jews true believers of Islam.

The mainstream news as ever, overlooked the subconscious motivations beneath this three-way saber rattling for Armageddon. In early 2007, I deemed it was time to publish my findings about them and perhaps go on media outlets around the world exposing these prophetic motivations examining possible war scenarios of the 16^th century French prophet leading up to those purportedly recorded in the Hadith by Islam’s final prophet himself, Muhammad.

In that book Nostradamus: The War with Iran, I gathered a number of Nostradamus prophecies that pointed to a future military showdown with Persia (modern day Iran) by Western forces. These verses using contemporary names from the 16th century even mentioned the Persian Gulf and its narrow opening, the Strait of Hormuz, as the site of a future naval and air battles where a fleet will be “melted and sunk” by those of the “trident.”

As usual, there are layers to the riddles of Nostradamus’ wordplay. The seemingly obvious solution modern people might apply is a US “trident” class submarine that melts and sinks an Iranian surface fleet that consists of an armada of thousands of small boats — none of which are larger in tonnage than corvettes armed with a brace of Chinese silk missiles. Certainly the overwhelming force of Trident submarines or the hail of fiery death descending from missiles fired by US Navy carrier jets, cruisers, frigates and destroyers would be enough to “melt” and sink any suicidal attack by a flotilla of PT 109-pint sized Kamikaze craft piloted by Iranian Shahid (martyrs).

Indeed, Nostradamus may have named the US fleet obscured in another interesting word riddle. They are called “the True Serpent.” If you look down 4.5 centuries of Nostradamus’ future history of the world that has become our past, you will often find his riddles and descriptions using nicknames or flags flown by armies and or fleets of water and even air. For instance, we have “those of the Sun” in Century 5 Quatrain 11 of Nostradamus’ history of the future Les Propheties:

Mer par solaires seure ne passera,
Ceux de Venus tiendront toute l’Affrique:
Lure regne plus Sol, Saturne n’occupera,
Et changera la part Asiatique.

Those of the Sun will not cross the sea in safety,
Those of Venus will hold all of Africa:
Their realm will no longer be occupied by Sun (and) Saturn,
And the Asiatic part will change.

Reference to those of the Sun standing alone is open to many possibilities, but the reference to Venus (a code name for “Venice”) is often used by Nostradamus to describe fascist Italy during the Second World War. Though Italy had possession of Libya, Somalia and Ethiopia at the start of the war, they did not achieve control of Africa, unless this is one of Nostradamus’ alternative futures only partially fulfilled. Saturn’s color is as black as Italian Black Shirts and German Gestapo SS troops, symbols of Axis fascism

The Battle of Midway, by R.G. Smith. Three Japanese fleet carriers take direct and fatal hits from US Navy Dauntless dive bombers, turning the tide of the war on the Pacific Ocean in June 1942. "Those of the Sun will not cross the sea in safety," wrote Nostradamus 386 years earlier. Perhaps his vision foresaw the great red suns painted on the carrier decks?

Those of the “Sun” describe the third Axis ally: the Imperial Japanese fleet, visualized in Nostradamus’ nightly reveries in trance as dark gray warships flying the rising sun flag. The US Navy and the Army Air Forces would nearly sink the entire Japanese fleet in the Second World War. The fall of the Japanese empire forever changed Asia, ending its colonial hold and that of Western empires in a series of popular anti-colonial rebellions in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and also witness the rise of a sleeping giant, the People’s Republic of China.

The true serpent fighting the Persians in our future may be another reference to a naval flag. In my book about Nostradamus’ predictions for Iran, I said the following:

Every ship in this vast US armada flies the US flag and a US Navy Jack. Note that it is a flag with thirteen red and white stripes over which an American Rattlesnake crawls under the motto “Don’t Tread on Me!” It is only in recent times that all ships of the American Navy hoist this flag. On May 22, 2002, the U.S. Navy ordered all ships to display the First Navy Jack as long as the War on Terrorism continued. Ceremonies to raise the flag of the “true” serpent took place on every US Naval ship on 11 September 2002, the first anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the “Pearl Harbor” event that launched the world war of terrorism.

On some near future date, or perhaps as late as 2015, the “true serpent” will “invade” the waters of the Persian Gulf.

So, with that said, is war with Iran about to break out earlier than the astrological window of 2015-2016?

My answer is emphatic.

It is no.

Gaming out this news of an Iranian terror plot this week is a propagandized step towards such a war happening when the astrological aspects I described in detail in the book open the potential for conflict once again about four to five years hence. Indeed the Navy Jack takes on new symbolic significance.

The true serpent flag is also the symbol of the American Tea Party. Perhaps in 2016 there will be elected a president of the United States who is a member of that “true serpentine party”? How ironic it would be if the party that often promotes America pulling out of wars in the Middle East actually got their man or woman into the White House who then led America into its third and most disastrous war.

Another scenario would have President Obama in his second term, co-opted by a Tea Party controlled Congress who pushes him into signing on to Neo-Conservative aspirations for a war after years of negotiation with Iran went nowhere. It is a fact that Obama at present has chosen diplomacy first in his efforts to take Iran out of the nuclear arms race with Israel. However, he has left the apocalyptic door open that G.W. Bush and his Neo-Con handler, Dick Cheney, had closed in their faces by events at the end of Bush’s second term.

Occupy Wall Street Goes Global
This is not a movement of hippies, corporate media hacks and it is far bigger and more mainstream already than the Tea Party ever was. Occupy Wall Street keeps gaining momentum across the United States with polls showing 75 percent of Americans sympathetic or in full support of the movement. This weekend it spreads to “Occupy” movements across the world in Europe, Australia and Asia.

Three thousand gathered before the London stock exchange, and six thousand plan to camp, Ziccotti Park NY style, before the European Central Bank headquarter in Frankfurt. Demonstrations where held in 50 other German cities including 6,000 demonstrators in Berlin and 1,500 in Cologne. Thousands also gathered before banks and stock exchanges in Australia, South Africa, Taiwan, Hong Kong China and Tokyo Japan.

The demonstrations in the US are at last showing results politically with Secretary of Treasury and Secretary of State, Tim Geithner and Hillary Clinton sending clear signals Friday that more bank reforms are coming and must come.

On an ominous note, peaceful protests on Friday and today were eclipsed in Rome with widespread violence. The blazing cars, shattered shop, and bank glass windows of Roman streets can be the future of this movement around the world next year in 2012, because Italy is far closer to economic default. Politicians are running out of time if they do not legislate banking reforms before this peaceful global movement must get their attention by rioting.

Are Atlantic Tsunamis coming Next?

Tsunamis come in protest movements. Will they be coming as waves flooding the North Atlantic coastlines of Brazil, America and Europe? The windswept El Hierro Island in the Canary Island chain for months now has endured a significant earthquake swarm symptomatic of an imminent volcanic eruption. Unconfirmed reports of volcanic material floating off El Hierro’s coast might indicate a submarine eruption has begun.

In prehistoric times a large piece of El Hierro sloughed off into the Atlantic no doubt causing a catastrophic tsunami. The satellite photos showing a green subsea plume of a purported fissure in the island’s undersea shelf on the south side may presage an underwater landslide that might cause a tsunami, though I doubt it would generate any to match the previous monster wave that raged off its northern shore in prehistoric times.

This situation deserves watching, but some websites are practicing prophetic hyperbole by inaccurately comparing El Hierro to its larger volcanic island neighbor Las Palmas as the same, even in photos used. For now, Las Palmas is inactive, so those of you who think a 130-to-160-foot wave will crash into the US eastern seaboard eight hours after an imminent landslide are mixing your mega disaster metaphors and islands. Moreover, most of El Hierro’s tsunami energy would go south to the West African coast all the way to Antarctica, not west, if we were talking about Las Palmas.

I consulted my oracle about El Hierro. In the worst case scenario a tsunami might arise as devastating to other Canary Islands as that which flooded Japan in March of 2011. The main visitations with sporadic harbor and coastal damage like what was experienced in the Hawaiian Islands and Santa Cruz California from the Japanese tsunami would range along the sparsely populated Western Sahara southwards to the Mauritanian coast down to the city of Dakar, in Senegal.

My oracle at this point does not see a major tsunami coming out of a future eruption of El Hierro. It is much more concerned with El Hierro’s volcanism triggering a Las Palmas eruption causing half the geologically unstable, western coastal mountainside of the island to suddenly slip into the Atlantic. Such an event would be a civilization-changing catastrophe sending a tsunami up to 160 feet high roaring 4.5 miles inland over the coasts of Brazil, French Guyana, Surname, Guyana, east Venezuela, the Caribbean islands of the Lesser Antilles, and the US Atlantic seaboard!

Europe would also be hit by significant tsunamis between 16 and 23 feet high, nearly as destructive as those inundating the Honshu coastal towns and Sendai airport, would visit Ireland, Iceland, England, France and Spain. The Canary Islands and the nearby mainland coastline of southwestern Morocco and the neighboring nation of Western Sahara might witness a tsunami flood 300 feet high!

The Muslim world has its own North Korean style hermit kingdom, virtually closed off from the world, from journalists and the Internet. Yet, just like a very positive variant of a virus, the spread of Arab revolution out of Tunisia to Libya’s west and out of Egypt to Libya’s east has infected the closed kingdom of strongman Muhammar Gaddafi with an information dis-ease. The vectors of this fever of openness with symptoms of democratic desires are cell phones, iPhones and laptops. It is a social disease of an electronic networked kind carried by Facebook and twittering software on electronic communication gadget “mosquitoes” that can infect even a starkly free-information quarantined country like Libya with a “malarial” wave of free speech contagious and fatal to dictators. Before Gaddafi’s regime came down with this “cold” a statement of the late Hafez al-Assad of Syria echoes again in the halls of Damascus, Teheran and down the totalitarian’s halls of Tripoli. Regimes in the Arab world with the guts to fire on their own rebellious people never fall. Now that totalitarian theory is being tested in Libya.

Word is getting out of a life-and-death struggle of the people of Libya with the Gaddafi regime. More “infections” of the truth buzz ring cell phones in and tweet out of Libya revealing cracks appearing in the cyber-hermetically sealed dictatorship.

I predict Gaddafi is going down violently, like Ceausescu in 1989, “Romanian-style”. The question is, how long will it take and how bloody will it be?

Comparisons have been drawn comparing the current regional revolution of Arabs to that of the fall of Eastern European communist regimes in 1989 when the Soviet Union gave up the standoff with the Western democracies as the Cold War began to end. The Berlin Wall fell, then the regime of East Germany collapsed. Where East Germany went so went the region, being the most influential satellite member of the Soviet Warsaw Pact alliance, just like Egypt in the Arab world today is a trendsetter.

The fall of the Erich Honeker regime in East Berlin caused a regional chain reaction across Eastern Europe with communist dictatorships falling mostly with a whimper except one: the eccentric strongman Nicolae Ceausescu of Romania, every inch as daffy a dictator as Gaddafi. Relinquish power? Only over his dead body, like Gaddafi threatens today.

Romanian street demonstrations quickly turned into massacres then pitched battles between opposing regular and police military units for and against Ceausescu in a short, sharp, tank shell riddled and exceedingly bloody civil war, ending with support of Ceausescu rapidly — literally — draining out like blood poured over the cobble stones of Bucharest. Ceausescu tried to escape, was arrested, lined up against a wall and summarily shot with automatic weapons.

What happens in Libya will be similar but I fear it will take longer and be a far more bloody civil war. Unlike Romania’s civil war, Libya is among the most deeply entrenched tribal societies in the Arab world. This civil war will be won or lost by who can manage the complex alliances and promise patronage to key Libyan tribes. Western Libya mostly has tribes allied with Gaddafi, whose stronghold is Tripoli.

Most of the rebels who seized Benghazi and the eastern half of Libya are from tribes out of favor with Gaddafi. The oil profits from the world’s 17th largest oil producer go mostly to the western Libyan tribes. Western Libya has oil fields but they just lost the lion’s share located in the eastern provinces. Gaddafi will try to take them back, promise reward of the rich oil industry to those western tribes and sub-tribes leaders who support the crackdown.

People inside Libya phone the outside world about Gaddafi’s acts of genocide. Believe it. This civil war could descend into a Libyan tribal life struggle to control oil resources before and Gaddafi is gone.

At the time of this writing (22 February 2011), Gaddafi and his tribal allies in the secret police and armed forces are ruthlessly fighting with and liquidating rebels in Tripoli while air strikes on Benghazi continue.

I predict Gaddafi intends to launch his heavily armored forces against Benghazi, the heart of the revolution.

The main Libyan tribe, Warfallah, numbers one million people. They were the first tribe to support the current anti-government movement. Not a good sign for the future of Gaddafi’s regime, or his plans for a crackdown because they man much of the militia and regular army forces of the 120,000-man Libyan military. Nevertheless, the Libyan military continues to unleash jet bombers, helicopter gunships and naval gunships taking pot shots at Benghazi. That indicates both sides have a mix of military might. People are taking sides.

Gaddafi pays for an unknown number of ruthless sub-Saharan mercenaries numbering 7,000 operatives, including tank and armored units in what is known as Gaddafi’s Pan Islamic Legion. I sense because of his dwindling support from the Warfallah, he is calling in favors from many more guerilla and terrorist forces across Africa whose insurrections he bankrolled for four decades. These gathering mercenary forces flying in by transport are the spear point of a planned strike on Eastern Libya. It is because of them and the atrocities to come that Gaddafi will soon lose support from all of his people — East and West Libyans — and come to bloody ruin

Another reason why this could be far worse than the Romanian revolution of 1989, Ceausescu’s bloody fall did not rock oil prices across the world threatening high prices that could stall economic global recovery. Libyan oil fields have stopped pumping and exporting. Uncertainly hit the stock markets hard on Tuesday with the Dow Jones dropping -178.46 points. The Oil APR price today closed $96.92 a barrel, close to passing an ominous threshold, rising beyond the $100 mark. The last time that happened was in 2008. Then came the Great Recession.

The week is young, like the Libyan civil war. Prepare for triple digit per oil barrel prices sinking economic growth soon. What is coming is not a stock market correction of the DOW Jones by five or six percent. The next economic crisis begins. The one I foresaw in detail. Triggered by oil prices and dated in my predictions for 2010 and forecasts for 2011.

If I were you, reader, I would top my gas tank. The fall of Gaddafi is coming but this Jim Jones of Arab dictators could take the Libyan oil industry with him in a bloodbath stretching for weeks. That means Africa’s fourth largest oil exporter will be off line for a while. That means oil exports across Africa are disrupted. Expect this to bring fuel and food riots in South Africa. Europe is the biggest importer of Libyan oil. Expect this to trigger another EU financial crisis that will impact the US and Chinese economy, as I detail in Predictions for 2011.

The 16th-century French prophet, Michel Nostradamus (1503-1566) might have set down a verse or two about the fate of Muhammar Gaddafi.

Century 4 Quatrain 62 of his history of the future Les Propheties states:

Vn coronel machine ambition,
Se saisira de la plus grand’armée,
Contre son prince fainte inuention,
Et descouuert sera soubz sa ramée.

A colonel will through machinating (plotting) ambition.
He will seize the greatest part of the army,
Against his Prince through a false invention.
He will be discovered under his branches.

In 1995 I wrote the following interpretation that was published on p. 345 of my 1,000-page tome Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies:

In 1969 Colonel Gaddafi overthrew King Idris in the Libyan Revolution. He seized the greatest part of the Libyan army’s support in a secret coup (false invention). The final line of the quatrain may cryptically relate details of a notorious milestone in Gaddafi life to be reached 17 years later. On the night of 5 April 1986 … a terrorist bomb exploded in a Berlin disco, killing two people, including a US serviceman. The [US] Reagan government chose to find evidence suggesting that the order for the bombing came from Gaddafi. (Actually, other far more compelling evidence implicating the Syrians and Iranians in the bombing was ignored by Reagan. But I suppose an attack on the most vulnerable terrorist-sanctioning nation would suit his political movie script better than a military attack on the deep heartland of Islamic terrorism.) Nine days later…US bombers attacked terrorist-related targets in Libya. Bombs were also aimed at the Al Aziziya barracks in the desert outside of Tripoli where, it is said, Gaddafi and his family sometimes reside in a bedroom designed to look like a Bedouin tent. Gaddafi’s two sons were slightly injured by flying glass and his 15-month-old adopted daughter, along with 100 people, were killed in what was clearly an assassination bombing mission. Gaddafi survived unscathed.

A translation of line 4 is difficult. In earlier books I had taken the figurative meaning of ramée to deduce a green arbor or green flag symbolizing Gaddafi’s Libya. A more down-to-earth translation of ramée as branches might better describe Gaddafi the moment two bombs slammed into his tennis court and another took out his front door. One might have found him crouched beneath the branches (or legs) of his desk, hiding his face from the flying glass.

Rebooting my interpretation fourteen years later, let us take on the riddle of line four in the context of Gaddafi’s near future.

With the word ramie Nostradamus may describe the scene of his end. It means branches; arbor, green bows, green arbor. The etymology could mean by extension a green Bedouin tent, the green Libyan flag, or perhaps the scene of his end is such a tent pitched in an oasis. Although I do not personally believe he will leave Libya alive, I could be wrong. Gaddafi may escape to the green arbor, bows and luscious vegetation of the tropics. He could fly out of the desert living out his days a guest of dictator Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Perhaps it is there he will be killed when Chavez falls.

Another quatrain and famous anagram indexed Century 10 Quatrain 96 could describe the life and bloody fate of Gaddafi and his son:

Religion du nom des mers vaincra,
Contre le secte fils Adaluncatif,
Secte obstinee deploree craindra,
Des deux blessez par Aleph & Aleph.

The Religion named after the ocean will overcome,
Against the sect of the son Adaluncatif,
The obstinate, deplored sect will be afraid,
Of the two wounded Aleph (A) and Aleph (A).

The anagram Adaluncatif has baffled interpreters for the past several centuries. I take it to be a riddle about Gaddafi. Adaluncatif is an anagram. Reshuffle the letters and they form “Cadafi Luna.” Allowing for phonetic spelling changes, it is possible to get “Gaddafi Luna,” “Gaddafi of the Moon,” or “Gaddafi of the Crescent of Islam.”

Now the next riddle. What Religion is named after the ocean that will overcome the sect and son of Gaddafi?

The term “Oceanic religion” could be somewhat awkwardly describing Gaddafi’s bed on the night of the US bombing raid on his home in 1986.

Author and former British Parliament member George Tremlett has been one of the few Westerners invited into Gaddafi’s house in the center of a military barracks outside of Tripoli. The bombed bedroom is enclosed in glass, like a shrine, without one shard of shrapnel or piece of broken masonry disturbed since the night of the bombing. Tremlett’s book Gaddafi: The Desert Mystic contains a photograph of the bed; at the head we see an illuminated and vividly colored panoramic photo of ocean waves crashing on the rocks. Could this wall papered photo religiously bemuse the 16th-century prophet?

A number of religions, such as Tibetan Buddhism, describe themselves as oceanic.

We could go out on a limb a little further.

Around the same time in early 1986 that US jets bombed Gaddafi’s bedroom, the Oregon Commune of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh disbanded. Bhagwan was in the midst of a world tour seeing him thrown out of 21 countries by CIA and Reagan administration pressure until his meditation resort/university was reestablished in Pune, India in 1987.

Rajneesh changed his name to Osho before he died in early 1990 from what his followers and doctors claim was heart disease accelerated by being poisoned with the heavy metal Thallium in November 1985. He claimed to have been poisoned during the three days he disappeared from all contact by the press and his lawyers, while under the custody of US federal agents.

Rajneesh explained that the new name Osho was derived from William James’ word “oceanic,” which means dissolving into the ocean. Oceanic describes the experience of being simply religious without the limits of mafias of the soul or dead dogmas. You are it and it is an oceanic, blissful experience.

Osho is also used as a Zen salutation that can essentially be translated as “oceanic consciousness.”

Gaddafi gets bombed around the same time the guru of a new religion metaphorically named after the ocean is spreading its message on a world tour. Though this association of Gaddafi and Osho might sound far-fetched, it would not be the first time Nostradamus dated an incident in future history by chronicling two unrelated events happening at the same time only as a time clue rather than having any direct connection.

Nostradamus also hid more than one decodable meaning in his anagrams. (For instance, see Mabus.)

The anagram Adaluncatif gives us Cadafi Luna. Yet, remove “A(dal)u(n)cat(i)f” and we also get Nidal.

Gaddafi was once a close friend and patron to the notorious Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal in the 1980s.

Drop the c and the remaining letters a-u-a-t-f can phonetically spell “fatau,” for Fatah, as in the Palestinian Fatah party.

Fatah now runs the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank region under Israeli occupation. At one time it included a terrorist branch known at the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).

In other words, Cadafi Luna is linked to Abu Nidal (terrorist) and the PLO of Fatah as it may relate to the near future.

The secular workweek begins with Gaddafi Luna threatened with overthrow. The workweek will soon end with Friday — (the Muslim holy day, church day, their “Sunday” according to their calendar).

This Friday watch the Fatah Party of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank join the radical Palestinian party of Hamas, controlling the Gaza Strip for a “Day of Rage” demonstration across all Israeli occupied Palestinian territories.

Gaddafi, a patron of Hamas, will drag his country down into civil war this week while the Arab Revolution reaches the doorstep of Israel this Friday in a protest against the US veto that put a kibosh on a recent United Nations Security Council resolution to declare Israeli settlement construction illegal.

Watch Friday when the Arab Revolution amps up in intensity to a whole new dimension, shifting from an uprising against the oppression of its own Arab-born dictators to an rebellion against oppression of the US-backed Israelis in Palestine.

If these interpetated layers of the Adaluncatif anagram message are correct, Gaddafi’s civil war and fall is linked to the coming rage in Palestinian streets.

Where then do the clues walk us to next?

Solving the riddle of the last two lines of 10 Q96:

The obstinate, deplored sect will be afraid,
Of the two wounded Aleph (A) and Aleph (A).

The sect of Gaddafi is afraid of the two wounded A and A. How do we decode just what the Hebrew letter for A (Aleph) and its Arabic variant (Alif) represent?

Gaddafi intends to give his dictatorship to one of his sons, of which he has seven. The most likely grooms for dad’s dictatorship are Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi and Mutassim Gaddafi.

The prophecy might imply the two will be wounded, after the father is deposed.

Apparently, these Hebrew/Arabic letters are not the same as our letter A. Instead they correspond not to the vowel sound “ah” but to the glottal stop that precedes it. With that said, one cannot rule out that Nostradamus the obscurer would lead the idle seeker off the etymological trail. Perhaps he was more interested in the spelling of the word in Roman letters to hide a name consisting of two “A”-sounds when spoken?

Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi.

If so, then the first and second Alif could represent a kind of phonetic spelling of the most likely heir apparent’s name, Saif (a)l-Islam (a)l-Gaddafi (meaning Sword of Islam from Gaddafi)

He is the son of Adaluncatif. The designated successor to lead the obstinate and deplored sect of Gaddafi’s mutant Marxist-Socialist-Islamic system now rejected by the people of Libya.

Successor A and A will be mortally wounded?

A and A also could be Nostradamus hinting the most popular chant of the demonstrators in Libya: Allahu Akbar! (God is Great!) In this way the faith of Allah is the oceanic religion foreseen to succeed over this obstinate, deplored sect.

If we move beyond all the tangled speculation inherent in picking loose a line of clarity out of cryptic Nostradamus, the fires of revolution overtaking the Middle East could cleanse the way for a better and more democratic era.

My oracle’s forecasts for 2010 and those published for 2011 indicate sudden and unexpectedly positive breakthroughs in the Middle East are quite possible.

Israel in 2011 has an excellent opportunity to be a positive game changer, supporting Arab democratic aspirations while isolating radical Islam based in Iran. I wrote a chapter about this potential destiny in my prophecies for 2011.

Pluto and its moons: Charon, Hydra and Nix.

When astrology reads history’s inclination through the stars, the planet Uranus, ruler of the 20-century long Aquarian Age in which we are gradually entering, stands for individual and/or collective revolutionary change if favorably aspected with other signs and planetary configurations. Uranus defines an era’s zeitgeist of freedom and responsibility or licentiousness and false entitlement if negatively aspected. Uranus represents either change toward reform or a descent into chaos. While Uranus and other planets perform their influential roles, they do so underpinned by astrology’s farthest flung planet with Astrology’s farthest perspective, its largest overview. Spring unexpectedly as it might out of Uranian slogans that guided Barack Obama into the White House, Change we can Believe in will become changes that are permanent according to Pluto’s transit of the sign Capricorn, defining a generational era depending on how they are colored by the ruler of human collective transformation.

Shakespeare wrote, “All the world is a stage and we are but the players.” If the bard of Stratford on Avon had been an astrologer, he might say instead, “All the planetary players over stand and often overstep to their own peril a stage that Pluto designs.” The “stage,” or better, the “age” is the thing. Today we stand upon Pluto’s “age” of Capricorn design, one of 12 ages made by the 12-to-30 year transit of Pluto through the 12 signs of the Zodiac.

Let us review the last 71 years of astrology-staged activity under Pluto.

If our performing planets bombed during Pluto’s sojourn through Leo (1939-1957), they bombed atomically when Pluto made the Leo “sun” split its atom on the earth. If they got “bonged” during Pluto’s transit through Virgo (1957-1972), they did so psychedelically, as Virgo’s mass interests in mind-body health and discernment sought to expand mass consciousness in the 1960s and early 1970s. Pluto in Virgo gave birth to a collective awareness as well that health of the planet should be considered. A sense of collective ecological responsibility emerged for the first time across the world in green movements, green parties, conceiving at its closing curtain eco-message movies like Soylent Green, and rock operas like Olias of Sunhillow.

Pluto in Libra (1972-1983) put all planets on a razor’s edge egging on nations pitted in a Cold War nuclear arms race to find pause and reflection. Thus humanity moved collectively towards Détente and nuclear disarmament treaties. China made the first jump of its great leap forward out of ruinous Maoist cultural revolutionary chaos to an ordered, breathtaking, free-market transformation we see culminating today.

Pluto got dangerously Scorpionic (1983-1995). Regenerate or die, my world. Have that Cold War go hot or die with a whimper and a Berlin Wall falling.

Pluto shot its arrow of Sagittarius (1995-2008) and we all saw its prey falling down in boiling debris clouds as mass mind moved by Pluto to the darker side of Sagittarius potential: religious extremism, Moral Majorities, al-Qaeda shooting World Trade Center towers with hijacked jet arrows. God talking to presidents of the US and Iran. The Middle East leaders wax eschatological while unilateral American Crusaders in Iraq dodged the IEDs, because God told Bush to invade and he invaded. God told Ahmadinejad of Iran to ponder rubbing out Israel from the map of history. God told Netanyahu to pass along the message to Iran: Think Amalek, boobie. An allusion to divinely inspired genocide that bade the Hebrews unleash one of history’s most successful holocausts killing every last man, woman, child, chicken, cow and goat of the Amalekites. Well, as those of you who read your Bible know, Saul took the animals as reward, angering Yehovah, but that is another story.

Pluto had Doomsday postponed when it entered Capricorn in late 2008 a short time after Barack Obama was elected president of the United States on a Pluto-in-Sagittarian platform of sweeping change we can believe. (Uranus just digs that to no end!). However, belief needs the “meat” in Capricorn, sign of the Goat. The first thing Pluto did to get a planet’s goat was cast new mass moods to play with Uranus’ head, Saturn’s limits and funk up Jupiter’s avuncular.

Barack Obama’s popular call for Uranian change pitted itself against the ruler of the status quo (Saturn) in opposition. This Uranus (in mutable and dreamy we can “believy” Pisces) opposing Saturn (in mutable and sometimes fickle Virgo, the harvester of sweet or bitter lessons) is the astrological aspect defining Obama’s first term in office. The opposition was active in the final weeks of his campaign and glittering in night skies above the floodlights of Chicago’s Grant Park victory rally on the globally warmed autumnal election night on which he won the dream presidency (4 November).

The Uranus-Saturn opposition later re-engaged its bout of change wrestling opposition on Obama’s Inauguration Day, 20 January 2009, that at least on the surface and despite Saturn’s grapple, brought to America one of its greatest changes: an African American sworn in as President. Add to that a complete break with Saturnian status quo, breaking the East of the Rockies US birth bias. Obama is the first native-born US Westerner since Nixon; moreover, a native as far West as you can go and remain in a US state unless you were an Aleut hailing from Kiska, AK.

Say “HI” to the African American surfer dude from Honolulu Hawaii. What could be more Uranian “blow your mind” than that?

Yes, yes, I anticipate emails from Birthers in my Internet community who claim Obama waves a bogus Hawaiian birth certificate. Some distinctly racist John Bircher birthers wave their own spurious Internet-manufactured CGI induced evidence of Kenyan certificates with attachments of same soon to flood my inbox once again. Either way, Obama in office is a change in electing the usual Caucasian Wasps East-of-the-Rockies habit, is it not?

So why has Obama’s staged change drama often found itself awkwardly stumbling and progressing with difficulty on History’s odeum? Because history has redesigned the floorboards and moved the floodlights since Obama won his presidential audition. Pluto’s set design is no longer the Sagittarian one he was first familiar with during the campaign and for most of the years of his ambitious rise to prominence since November 1995. The play’s the thing on Pluto’s new stage and it ain’t set up no more for Sagittarian flights of aspiration. Shot your bolt, booby, when it comes to the ambitious can-thinking they can do the president and make the dream so. Why?

Because Pluto, history’s stage manager of civilization’s twelve step transformation plan through the signs of the Zodiac in every 248-year-long orbit, redesigned History’s stage after a 13-year transit of Sagittarius ending 28 November 2008, a few weeks after Obama’s election victory. Pluto’s collective unconscious powers to degenerate or regenerate civilization will henceforth direct history’s show in the theater marquee of Capricorn. The Capricorn season will last far longer than Obama’s standup political show of 4 to 8 years. It will not be over from the time of this blog’s posting in June 2010 for another 14 years. Pluto in 2024 will renovate history’s Bijou from down-to-business Capricorn to the electric blue colors of avant guard-yourself-everybody Aquarius.

The last time Pluto stage-managed History in a Capricorn theater was 1762 through 1777. Most notably running the “show” called the secular Enlightenment, also known as the Age of Reason. The closing act opened the American Revolution. The birth of America, and its Declaration of Independence is a “To Thee I Sing” musical comedy that inspired the direction of history coming full cycle at the end of the era of modern democracy as we knew it! Now we are back again on Capricorn’s Plutonian stage 248 years later. Are we ready to wager a new power shifting age?

What is listed on the program for this new generation-lasting epic?

An urgent need for a new age of Reason. A profound need for a new American Revolution.

Pluto guides Capricorn mass movements towards redefining political and economic structures. The power brokers are no longer politicians as 248 years ago but the captains of ambition and the kings of corporate industry. The “status” in status quo will pit the world’s people against a new aristocracy.

The new king George’s that do not hear the will of the people come to America not as royalty of blood but rich in profit royalty from the blood line of buck. The English “king” who is not listening to an angry American populace is a person like Tony Hayward, the British CEO of a multi-billion-dollar global conglomerate, British Petroleum. And if mad King George this time around is played by Tony Haywire and does not put a cork in his hole, the American people and president just might rise up in arms once again.

Power elites, like the last Pluto-in-Capricorn transit, will try to control an emergent desire for freedom, independence and popular democracy with suppressive conservatism. Only this time the struggle has taken on a global context. The challenge for democracy of nations this Pluto-in-Capricorn cycle will be a struggle for a workable global model for an emerging global civilization. It can degenerate into a global police state or between now and 2024 we may witness and directly engage in a regeneration of the American dream of democracy on a global scale.

Global government, like it or not, is an irresistible destiny pushed by Pluto in the era of its Capricorn transit. It will happen. Try then to drop your horse-and-buggy brained illusions that the car of this future can run out of gas. Train your genius, your guts and perhaps even risk your lives to be a part of a global and hopefully peaceful revolution against a gathering CEOlygarchy that wants to King George you all under its corporate global empire.

You need a world government. Oh, yes you do! One for, of and by the people, not Korporate Kings.

A world parliament is your destiny. Postpone it, sabotage it, and hand your world to a corporate global dictatorship therefore. Then watch the relatively mild bloodshed of the American Revolution turn into the blood bath and chaos of Pluto’s return to Aquarius in 2024, where it once sharpened guillotine blades in the terror of the French Revolution.

Upon this Plutonian Capricorn stage comes blonde Uranus prancing out of the wings in its transit of Aries starting at the end of last month. The astrological “hero” of our play, performs impetuous Siegfried pitted against a status quo Fafner dragon for the bulk of a decade. Uranus launches rebellion, new thinking and very likely, very soon, will upset systemic norms in political, social and economic structures. Uranus in Aries storms the lair of Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto can consort with conservative dragons hoarding tradition and habitual dysfunction like a greedy treasure piled and padlocked in a cave of dogma against change.

Siegfried-Uranus will have at you with sudden and surprising slices and stabs with needful sword. The dragon of old-style capitalism will be wounded. There will be economic meltdowns, as soon as autumn this year as forecasted in detail in Predictions for 2010. The dragon will bleed the red russet blood of Gulf of Mexican oil.

Uranus will rebel and Pluto in Capricorn will first suppress then later in the near decade battle with change, submit to transform the architecture of politics and commerce on a collective level bringing death and rebirth to civilization’s many systems of power. The dragons fall. There will happen a death of nation states reborn into the global village.

Pluto wrestling with Uranian rebellion throughout the coming decade can be seismic. The planet is interconnected with the will, collective mind and unconscious, massed psychic forces of humanity.

The shifting of great cycles of time such as we are enduring years before 2012 — and far beyond it into the 2020s — will not only cathart upheavals in human consciousness but un-hinge in great paroxysms the sky’s climate in storms and earth’s lands and oceans in temblors.

This July will see visited over our skies one of the most powerful astrological configurations in many decades. Jupiter (ruler of higher minded expansion or self-indulgent, self-righteousness) continues to magnify with either-or influence, Uranus (change or chaos) to which it is conjoined in the early degrees of the sign of Aries (new beginnings, enterprises, or hasty rushes to disaster, war).

Saturn enters our stage on wings of Virgo to tarry for a two-year transit of Libra — the sign of balance or what is out of balance exposed. Saturn is in a cardinal sign now, like Uranus and Jupiter. Read therefore a dramatic test of leadership or lack thereof in history’s pending summer of crises and challenges.

Saturn (ruler of limits and reality checks) in July will return to its Obama-Administration-defining opposition with Uranus (Change versus Status Quo resistance). This time they no longer tug at each other in the theoretical, abstract, mutable signs of the Obama regime’s birth, Pisces and Virgo. Progressed to Cardinal signs Aries and Libra, they demand an end to dreaming and talking. Time to LEAD. This goes for all leadership cliques and aristocracies — political, business or religious.

LEAD. Otherwise suffer Pluto’s Capri-cornering the world into a trap of structural degeneration into Uranian chaos and Saturnian stalemates when the blows of crises come falling, starting in July, and pummel the world with economic, natural and seismic thrusts and rolls through the autumn of 2010.

Starting this summer we will see what mettle our leaders and the peoples of entire nations have. The tables in Pluto’s drama are turned for now against progress. They tilt to leaders and nations applying old-think and past solutions that do not solve our future’s unique and global problems. In early July, Uranus goes retrograde, retreating backwards from progressive change whilst Saturn’s status quo forces have advantage. Uranus will be retreating from change back in mid-August into the retrograde illusions where words trump action in the dreaminess of Pisces until December. Then collective urges for change move forward once again and keep moving forward out of Pisces back into enterprising Aries in March 2011, and will not look back, staying in Aries for nearly a decade hence until it enters Taurus for good in 2019.

Why does Pluto decide the summer, which way the rope tugs in the Uranian-Saturnian pull? Because it will be hovering in Capricorn EXACTLY 90 degrees above the Uranus-Saturn opposition through August. It will point its sword of Damocles hanging down from heaven as the vertical line of a grand inverted T Square of the Uranus and Saturn opposition.

Earthquakes are coming to the polity and the economy. They will ultimately expose systemic cancers in the structures that can no longer sustain our advancing civilization towards its new global model. We are already seeing the influence of this grand square in the bungling of national and corporate response to the ongoing and what could readily become the largest oil spill disaster in history.

We await hurricanes in the Gulf. So far, the hurricane season follows what I predicted for 2010: Hot but dry weather and generally without tropical storms in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. No storms so far at the time of this writing but that could change. A pulse of thunderstorms out of Western Africa crosses the tropical waters of the Atlantic two months early. Will they congeal and become the first major hurricane?

The season is young and it may harbor fewer hurricanes as I predicted last year. I foresaw only one dire supterstorm hitting land in the 2010 Hurricane Season. It would only take one “Hurricane Andrew” to bring hydrocarbon rains and oil-clogged storm surges on shore. May it not hit the Gulf; however, I think the storm I foresee will track to a landfall somewhere on the Eastern Texas-Western Louisiana coast. That might miss the oil slick even though it would devastate the thickest population of refineries and oil storage areas in North America; ergo, a possible cause for triple-digit a barrel costs this autumn subsequently ushering another world economic crisis.

There will be earthquakes this summer, perhaps some of the greatest recorded by modern instruments. Prepare for them in Southern California, off the Oregon Coast. Brace for them in China and along the Himalayan mountain fringes and continental shelves of the Indian subcontinent. See a revolution suppressed in Iran coming up earthquakes. Watch for the continued creep of major temblors northward on the eastern half of the Pacific Ring of Fire from Chile all the way to Los Angeles.

Also, note the activity of planets. It is with shocking regularity that great earthquakes and tsunamis happen when Uranus is in square or opposition to other major planets and often in earth signs (signs of earthquakes). Observe the following list of great and devastating quakes of the 20th and 21st centuries. They are evidence that the ways of Uranus conjoining Jupiter, opposing Saturn while in its Grand T Square with Pluto are to be carefully watched and thus all should be prepared for seismic fireworks beginning sometime not long after the firework shows of the American Fourth of July Holiday:

The most powerful quake ever recorded by instruments happened when the Sun just transited out of Taurus (earth sign, quakes) with a near square of Uranus in Leo.

Second largest quake ever seismically recorded happened when Uranus and Saturn were in opposing signs. This time switched from the present opposition with Saturn in Pisces and Uranus in Virgo (earth sign equals quakes!).

Tangshan, China, 27 July 1976, magnitude 7.5
Perhaps the greatest killer quake recorded in modern times with an unofficial death toll exceeding 600,000 souls. Earthquakes often happen around Full or New Moons. It was New Moon on the 27July 1976. Uranus was in Scorpio in an approximate square of Mars, Saturn and the Sun in Leo.

Sichuan, China, 12 May 2008, magnitude 7.9

Vast earth waves and mountain landslides leveled cities carrying off over 80,000 in Central China when Uranus and Saturn were in opposite signs (Pisces and Virgo).

Sumatran Quake and Indian Ocean Tsunami, 26 December 2004, magnitude 9.1 to 9.3

The second largest quake in history recorded by seismograph caused a death toll mostly from its generated tsunami that unofficially killed over 300,000 people. Uranus and Pluto were at work again in a near grand T Square of a near Uranus in Pisces opposition with Mars in Virgo and Pluto in Sagittarius. It would seem that quakes do not always happen exactly on grand T-squares but within the approximate time and location of these.

Chilean Quake, 27 February 2010, magnitude 8.8
The seventh largest earthquake ever measured shook the coastline off Concepción unleashing a killer tsunami into four Chilean fishing ports. A more moderate tsunami raced across the Pacific Ocean requiring millions of people around the Pacific Rim to evacuate their shores. It happened the day before a Full Moon in Virgo squared Jupiter in Pisces. Uranus was also 23 degrees Pisces.

Significant volcanic eruptions have already hit this year in Cost Rica, Equator, and the South Pacific Vanuatu Island chain. The most notable eruption belched weeks of ash from an Icelandic volcano in April that grounded air traffic across Europe for weeks. Uranus and Saturn were in near opposition at that time.

On the 121st anniversary of Hitler’s birthday the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded and burned causing a human-induced and ongoing volcanic eruption of oil poisoning the Gulf of Mexico. Guess what Uranus and Saturn were up to on Hitler’s birthday? They were within on degree of an EXACT opposition: Uranus 28 degrees Pisces. Saturn 29 degrees Virgo (an earth sign, as in volcanic).

I am sorry that my message today must be so long and so terrifying, but time is too short to parse these predictions out in the coming weeks. We must watch carefully and brace for Uranus in opposition to Saturn, for they are poised to up heave our summer hanging on Pluto’s grand square as catalyst.

The world of nature and climate must go to war against us because it cannot longer tolerate our locust-like growing host of wasteful consumers, progressing into the deepening mental static of global unconsciousness.

We are fast asleep and Mother Nature must shake us hard so that we can look anew beyond dreams and nightmares that define our sleep. The sleeper must mass awaken, demands Pluto, and perceive what it is to be human.

Death and resurrection is coming to what we once thought and habitually believed is truly of economic, social and spiritual value.

This summer begins a process that will last decades. We begin encountering what does not work and crumbles before our expectations of our leaders, our politics, our economic paradigms, and our social interactions. Our icons of belief stand on clay feet and come cracking down beginning this summer and throughout the 2020s and 2030s.

Putting it another way, humanity has been wearing masks of civilization and humanity at the cost of discovering their authentic humanity and civility of the heart. The coming times will suddenly knock our masks off many times. We will keep putting them back on again, and have them slapped off harder and harder until we wear naked our original face of true and otherwise hidden selves.

Let Uranus opposed Saturn Squared Pluto help you lose your mask so that you can see your “original face” — the one you had before you were born. The one you have now but have forgotten, even though there are meditation techniques I can share with you that could help you re-member, unite, with that original face you have ever-now and forever yours eternal.

Seek the original truth, solve the world’s problems with original genius and give birth to a new human civilization. The signs of summer will launch us.

We are nearly half way through 2010 and as my eBooks posted from last year will detail, a more wild and transformative ride is coming for everyone in the latter half of 2010.

Stay extra vigilant on this day, 11/11/09 and all the rest of the days of November. Jihad organizations like to play with dates including elevens and nines. This is the 11th month of the 9th year of this decade (11/9 = 9/11 reversed). It was on this Armistice and Veteran’s Day holiday eight years ago that Usama bin Laden filmed his infamous video tape of a dinner party in Afghanistan praising the “martyrs” who attacked America on 9/11, implicating his involvement.

Now to happier matters. Monday marked the 20th anniversary of the Berlin Wall falling (9 November 1989). It marked the beginning of the end of the Cold War and Soviet Union. Nostradamus may have foreseen the demise of both dying with a whimper when he wrote the following prophecy 434 years before it happened, indexing the prophecy as a date. Century 2 of Quatrain 89 says:

Vn iour seront demis les deux grands maistres,
Leur grand pouuoir se verra augmenté:
La terre neufue sera en ses hauts estres,
Au sanguinaire le nombre racompté

One day the two great leaders will become friends,
Their great power will be seen to increase:
The new land [America] will be at the height of its power,
To the bloody one, the number is reported.

The great leaders mentioned in line one are US president H.W. Bush and Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev. The Soviet Empire had exhausted itself in arms races and struggles for political and economy hegemony with America. “We will take your enemy away from you, ” Gorbachev had said to Bush, and he began a snowballing reform campaign of Perestroika (openness) that lead to an avalanche of change knocking down the Berlin wall in 1989 and knocking over the communist Soviet Union in the early 1990s.

In line two, Nostradamus waxes dyslexic giving us the sequence backwards. Their great power is not that of the two leaders but the power mentioned in line three: the new land of America, which indeed became after 1989 the preeminent and sole superpower in the world at the height of its economic and military strength for the following decade.

Many possible interpretations might unveil the mystery of who the bloody one might be. In the context of the Cold War’s end, Premier Gorbachev displayed a prominent blood splattered-looking birthmark on his balding forehead. The number reported are the missiles selected for dismantling as part of START, the US-Soviet Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.

In my first book (15 books ago) on Nostradamus, written in 1986, I took the hint of the indexing of this quatrain to predict that the Cold War would end by the end of the decade. On further examination of events since then, the indexing numbers 2 (February) (19)89, may stand for the month Soviet forces left Afghanistan. 1989 was the year Gorbachev met G.W. Bush in an impromptu summit meeting at Malta declaring the Cold War was over

Afghanistan has been the death of Empires. Will America’s empire be next? We await a decision by President Obama, the “black king” of Nostradamus’ prophecies on this day of remembrance of war dead. He will soon send many more to their funerary watch in cemeteries on future Veteran’s Day celebrations, as he does not yet learn Afghanistan’s harsh historic lessons. He will send soldiers to fight the Taliban in Afghanistan and not al-Qaeda. History wonders if he will to track down America’s real enemy, the one who dared speak of his martyrs, eight years ago on America’s hallowed Veteran’s Day.

The day after Barack Obama won the presidential election, Russian Federation President Dmitry Medvedev announced Moscow’s intention to deploy missiles in the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, nestled between NATO members Poland and Lithuania, to “neutralize” a planned U.S. missile-defense system.

Poland signed an agreement to allow deployment of the US anti-missile system one day after the Russians invaded Georgia last August. It includes 10 missile silos in Poland along with a radar station in the Czech Republic ostensibly positioned to shoot down ballistic missiles flying out of the distant Middle East.

Medvedev in his state-of-the-nation address said US missiles positioned so close to Russia are a provocation and threat to Russian security.

“To neutralize — if necessary — the [U.S.] anti-missile system,” declared Medvedev, “An Iskander missile system will be deployed in the Kaliningrad region.

“Naturally, we are also considering using for the same purpose the resources of Russia’s navy.”

NATO expressed grave concern.

Could this be the beginning of a new cold war?

Nostradamus may think so. His doomsday clock is ticking. The countdown may have started back in August with US-Russian relations darkening during the Georgian Crisis. The Polish missile counter measure is the next step.

I wrote the following article on 13 August 2008 for members of one of my newsletter lists at the height of the Russian counter-invasion of the Caucasus nation of Georgia. It is worth reviewing because of recent developments.

A new Cold War between the West and Russia may have started six days ago, because the Georgian President Saakashvilli attacked the breakaway province of South Ossetia, reaping a military whirlwind of a Russian air, land and sea invasion.

Russian forces occupy central Georgia, cutting the country in half. Russian tanks now stand watch alongside the strategic Caspian pipeline passing crude oil exports west from Azerbaijan through Georgia to fuel Europe and many Western nations.

Things are so bad in Georgia that it took two days for the American president to pull himself away to make a public comment after having a thoroughly enjoyable time on bleachers whooping it up for US athletes at the Beijing Olympics.

The man who unilaterally invaded Iraq in 2003, hummed and hawed, laboring to brick and mortar a jumble of words together in “deep” reflection that would not collapse under the pressure of his legendary syntax-tacky delivery. Translated into English, President Bush tried to say something like: when the world comes together in peace to have an Olympics it is not the time to invade another country.

At the very least, the Russian counter-attack caught US and Western politicians with their “rants” down.

You know when a crisis is bad when Bush delays his customary month-long summer vacation in August to stay a few more days in Washington DC after partying at the Olympics to monitor events in Georgia. He is in a hurry to get to his Texas dude ranch so today he tossed threats at Russian Prime Minister Putin and President Medvedev, such as seeking Russia’s expulsion from the World Trade Organization and membership in the Western economic superpower club, the G8, for spooking up another Cold War.

I predict he cannot make good that threat, because a Russian combat boot presses the pipeline fueling enough G8 members who will vote otherwise.

This crisis gives Nostradamus watchers the first clear and present chance to start the clock ticking on Nostradamus’ foreseen countdown to thermonuclear war between America and Russia.

Here in brief review are the prophecies. I have inserted my comments in brackets to swiftly introduce my interpretation.

“One day the two great leaders will become (divided) friends. Their great power will be seen to increase. The new land [America?] will be at the height of its power.” ([Century-Volume] 2 Q [Quatrain] 89)

“And when shall the lords be two in number, victorious in the north against the Eastern ones [Islamic terrorists?], there shall be a great noise and warlike tumult that all the East shall quake for fear of those two brothers of the North who are not yet brothers…they will be victorious against the Easterners.” (Epistle to Henry II)

“Great disagreement and discord in order to obtain lands [i.e., the Balkans, Central Asian and Arab oil fields, and Israeli-Palestinian disputes over the Holy Land and now Georgia]. Kingdoms given to men incapable of prudence. Then for the great brothers [US and Russia?] death and dissention.” (2 Q94)

“The rule left to two [Russian and America?]. They will hold it for a very short time. Three years and seven months having passed, they will go to war. Their two vassals rebel against them. The victor is born on American soil.” (4 Q95)

“The two will not remain allied for long: within 13 years they will give in to Barbary [Libyan-Arab/Middle Eastern terrorist] power. There will be such a loss on both sides, that one [perhaps America in this case] will bless the bark of Peter and the cape of the pope.” (5 Q78)

Nostradamus in the 16th century wrote riddles that implied the US and Soviet Union would end their Cold War in peace. He said they would become “friends” that are “halved” or “divided.” Thus, they are friendly brothers who are “not yet brothers.”

It is implied that a Middle Eastern source will undermine this embryonic friendship of America and the Russian Federation that emerged after the fall of the Soviet Union. Either within three years and seven months or in 13 years after the pseudo-friendship breaks up, they would go to war, perhaps have that dreaded nuclear exchange; yet, “Americh” — the word Nostradamus uses in 4 Q95 for America — would be victorious.

The peace that would follow would be that of a cemetery. Nostradamus in his Epistle writings describes a world depopulated by two-thirds.

Nostradamus gives us the length of two possible countdowns to Russo-American Armageddon but no apparent hint as to when we should start counting.

Has events in Georgia started that countdown, or did it start a few days before hostilities in the Caucasus began?

It has gone almost unnoticed by the mainstream US press that the largest buildup of US Navy ships since the Persian Gulf War (1991) now converges on the Persian Gulf. It includes two supercarrier strike groups and several Marine expeditionary battle groups. It would seem that an attack either by Israeli or US forces on Iran, a Russian ally, is imminent. That is why the Russians made a move a few days after the US fleet sailed for the Persian Gulf, capitalizing on sufferin’ Saakashvilli’s blunder, to occupy a US ally, Georgia.

The chess table is set. Is this just a war “game” or the real show? Time and events will tell if the game clock is running.

1978: The Poisoning of a Pope

When the great Roman’s tomb is found, the day after a pope shall be elected. The Senate will not approve of him. His blood is poisoned in the Sacred Chalice.

[He] will be mocked by his electors; this enterprising and prudent person will suddenly be reduced to silence.

He who will have government of the great cape will be led to execute in certain cases. The twelve red ones will spoil to cover. Under murder, murder will be perpetrated.

They will cause him to die because of his too great goodness and mildness. Stricken by fear, they will lead him to his death in the night.

Nostradamus (1555-1557), C3 Q65, C10 Q12, C4 Q11

The Prophet wrote a most shocking chronicle of future papal intrigue. He foresaw a pope elected soon after the unearthing of St. Peter’s Tomb from beneath the Vatican. The tomb was discovered in 1978, the year Pope John Paul I was elected by the College of Cardinals. Though the public loved Gianpaolo’s sunny smile and simple humanity, the conservative Cardinals were enraged by his radical reforms. He died a month after his coronation, the details of his passing shrouded forever in secrecy. It was divulged by certain intimate sources that he was found dead in his bed the morning he planned to expose the Vatican Bank scandal. Cardinal Villot, head of the Vatican Curia – the papal Cabinet of twelve Cardinals – had removed from the pope’s lap the papers listing the crimes and people to be dismissed, along with the bottle of Effortil on his night stand that John Paul used to alleviate his low blood pressure. According to investigative reporter, David Yallop, author of In God’s Name (Bantam), Villot passed false information to the press and made sure the Pope’s body was embalmed before an autopsy was performed. From his vantage point beyond time, Nostradamus implicates these twelve red ones as the Pope’s murderers.

1986: The Chernobyl Disaster

The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water – the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

It is here that the great conflict will occur – America, Russia…the time is not far off….The Lady [vision of the Virgin Mary] extended her hands in a protective gesture over a region that seemed to me to be the Ukraine. And I saw an infernal fire raging above, to the left of me in Russia. It appeared to me to be the result of a great explosion that erupted from the earth. The lady said: “And so you see, nothing remains.” And looked upon what was virtually a deserted plain.

A ghost town exists in Russia. Open doors creak in the wind, which whispers in weeds that border roads and choke vegetable gardens. The surrounding unmanaged fields grow wheat that no living person can ever use for bread. This is the town of Pripyat, a once-teeming Ukrainian settlement of 45,000 set in the shadow of Chernobyl nuclear reactor number four. The explosion, which covered large areas of Europe with radioactive dust, left a gaping hole that has been sealed with 300,000 tons of concrete and 6,000 tons of lead. The wound is bandaged but the festering sore continues. Between thirty-one to 7,000 people died from the short-term effects of radiation. Future victims wait in the queue, with seemingly healthy bodies brewing cancers. Chernobyl’s silhouette in the silent Ukrainian countryside stands as its own prophecy of other hazards awaiting us in the nuclear age.

Some scientists estimate that future generations across a third of the world – primarily Europe – will see a rise in terminal cancer cases directly caused by the fallout from Chernobyl. It will be impossible to know how many lives will be cut short by cancers blown from death’s radium dandelion in the Ukraine. Some doctors put the number as high as one million. Perhaps St. John had foreseen this plague in Revelation 8:10-11 when he spoke of Wormwood. “Chernobyl” is Ukrainian for “wormwood.”

On a positive note, the disaster scandalized the Soviet government creating an opportunity for new Premier, Mikhail Gorbachev, to pursue the revolutionary reforms that lead a few short years later to the end of Russian communism and the Cold War.

1990: The Cold War Ends

A clash with the “barbarians” will weaken America but put it into alliance with Russia. In fact, the clash may already have happened, being dubbed the cold war, the Korean Police Action and Vietnam. The alliance with the Soviet Union should follow soon but with America in a weaker position than now.

By the 1980s two Cold War superpowers, up to their necks in nuclear weapons, had reached parity in the race to see which country had the greatest destructive potential. The numbers game of nuclear and conventional arms reductions for the coming 1990s may be implied by Nostradamus. The man of blood could be Gorbachev, who has a bloody birthmark on his head and is responsible for the reforms that brought a thaw to the Cold War and an opening for American/Russian friendship.

In the original prophecy, Nostradamus uses the word demis, friends. His often-applied device of altering correct spelling and punctuation to make a play on words implies either the meaning demis—”to halve, to set apart,” or d’amis – “friend”; in other words, what he wrote later on in his Epistle to Henry II of France, as the brothers who are not yet brothers.

Nostradamus appears to view today’s promises of disarmament with caution, and in other prophecies warns that the first steps toward a U.S.-Russian alliance at the end of the 1980s may collapse between 1999 and the 2020s in a nuclear war. Even if a Pollyanna would like to see the combined destructive force of our nuclear bombs reduced by 90 percent, she couldn’t rest easy about a future free of nuclear war. If there are still enough bombs to kill every human being once rather than the current eight hundred times, that’s more than enough.

We will practice the “song” of karma until we get history right.

Lots of practicing is coming in the years 2007 and 2008 for they reverberate with lessons turned upside down from 40 years earlier in 1967-1968.

Last time there was a Democrat Texan President stuck in the Vietnam quagmire. This time a Republican Texan President gets us stuck in an Iraqi quagmire. The jungle green hell turned into a desert sandy hell.

Forty years ago, the Democrats held the House, Senate and Presidency. They fought with each other how best to stay or get out of Vietnam. Forty years later, the Republicans who until recently had the same political hegemony, will now divide and rend apart their party over what to do about Iraq.

Eugene McCarthy in 1968 became the anti-war Democratic candidate against Democratic President Johnson’s policy in Vietnam. Forty years later the focus of discord shifts to the Republicans. Senator Hegel will become the anti-war candidate against Republican president Bush’s policy in Iraq.

President Johnson assessed his chances of being reelected in 1968 as grim. Especially when Senator’s McCarthy and Robert Kennedy clearly could and would ride public anti-war feelings rough shod over his re-election attempt. Johnson understood he was a lame duck president because of Vietnam. His “Great Society” domestic policies were in jeopardy. He therefore decided that he would not seek or accept his party’s nomination for a new term.

Forty years later, President G.W. Bush is in his second term, and rapidly becoming a lame duck president because of his failed Iraq war. His domestic “compassionate conservative” policies are in jeopardy. Leading senators from his own party are in revolt and may run against or away from the policies of his presidency while they run against Democrats for president. The karmic echo will be more strident with Bush. He will not seek to change course, and he will not accept the Congress and his own party’s “nomination” for his impeachment. Where Johnson could decide not to run for office in 1968, Bush, the lame duck, could find himself “run out” of office in 2007-2008.

Bush will rule as Lone Ranger against Congress in 2007. He will use the power they surrendered to him. The Congress just after the 9/11 terrorist attacks had given him the most dictatorial Chief Executive powers in US history. He will use his powers tenaciously. The new Democrat controlled Congress will have to make motions for impeachment. He will dare them to do so. Where Johnson would not run for a new term, for the sake of preserving the unity of his Democratic Party, Bush will not be run out of office even if it destroys his Republican Party. He will make the Oval Office his political Alamo. If impeachment comes, he will not recognize Congress’s authority. Where Nixon knew better to resign and save his country, Bush will not be “resigned” to save his country.

Johnson recognized his follies in Vietnam too late. He could not stop his Democratic Party from losing the Executive Branch in the elections of 1968. Forty years later, Bush’s follies in Iraq, recognized too late, will not stop his Republican Party from losing the presidency in the election of 2008.

Forty years ago, the minority party rehabilitated and renewed their support for Richard Nixon as prodigal scion returned from better political times. He served up the myth of the good old days of the Eisenhower era in the 1950s, and people bought it. Today a Democrat party emerging out of minority status, taking back Congress, will embrace the new “Hillary” as the prodigal First Lady, and Americans will buy her new myth about the good old days of the Bill Clinton era of the 1990s.

This time around, a charismatic “Kennedy” figure will run for president, but could become a vice president instead. Fade from a white Kennedy to a “black” Kennedy 40 years later.

Forty years ago, the Young Generation talked about flower power. Today they will stop talking and start fueling their industry with flower power.

In 2007, the green bio. fuel revolution will finally take hold in America, because of destabilization of oil producing regions and a marked up tick of climate disasters caused by global warming.

It is time to sing “America the Beautiful” once again.

The fuel crises and ecological disasters befalling this land, “from sea” to shining greenhouse rising “sea” will at last bring Americans to their senses about global warming. As the poles begin to melt, they will go to the “polls” in 2008 and make their new ecological sympathies be known to their politicians.

What else reverberates in either a karmic eco from the sixties, or sounds in the 36-year “beat” of Cosmic Day’s sunset into Cosmic Night?

Varied subjects of soothsaying come to no-mind…

Back in the 1960s, the decade began with America behind the Soviets in the space race. Forty years later it is now America falling behind again, in a military version of the space race, this time America lapses behind China, who has just recently fired a test missile to explode one of their own satellites. It proves that they can knock out all the GPS and spy satellites in low orbit over their land. Without them a modern US armed force could not win a war against China.

The Chinese test is the new “Sputnik” scare though few journalists report of it. It will militarize space in our bellicose times. America will have to move fast to catch up and arm their satellites because the first military crisis with Mainland China may be but one-and-a-half years away. I have been forecasting for years the danger of a Sino-US confrontation in 2008. It comes from a sudden declaration of independence by the Taiwanese government from Mainland China just before or during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

The good news is a new space race 40 years later has also the same unexpected positive outcome as the last one. That race to the Moon actually hid another military space race to perfect ICBM missiles for possible nuclear warfare between the US and USSR during their Cold War. This time around, the race starts with the true intentions exposed–a military space race. However, this run to militarize space will also give birth to a fortunate future, a rebooting of man’s peaceful exploration of space. As China makes good its promise to land a man on the Moon in the next decade, Americans will do the same in the coming ten years. Forty years ago, it was Russia and America racing to the Moon–with America winning the race. Now it will be America and China going there. China will win this race, but America, unlike Russia in the past, will follow the winner and stay. They build permanent bases on the Moon. She is a “moon child” a Cancer in astrology. She will build a new home there.

In 2007, the president’s poll numbers will plummet into the teens. He will serve as president with lower poll numbers than Nixon endured before resigning. He has aged rapidly, just like the last Texan president did. Military quagmires age presidents faster than anything else.

Bush is under ill-favored stars from being elected president by the Supreme Court during the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction of 2000. Astrologers believe this conjunction is responsible for a US president dying in office in his first or second term every 20 years, staring with President Harrison elected in 1840. Only Ronald Reagan barely survived his wounds from an assassination attempt in 1981, because, as some astrologers say, the conjunction of 1980 was the first to transit an air sign–a sign of softest influence on fate.

Bush will endure his most physically dangerous year as president in 2007. Health problems from stress and a heart that has extremely low blood pressure may ensue. If he survives this year, he may survive the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction curse. This would mean that he was an illegitimate keeper of the White House. The one “assassinated,” therefore, was only figurative. Al Gore was the politically “assassinated” president of the country, denied his term in office.

If Bush survives dying or being thrown out of office it could mean that the conjunction curse has evolved to something more sinister. Rather than losing a leader every 20 years we now begin to loose a major portion of our democratic freedoms every 20 years.

Will the next Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in 2020 presage the death of a president, or will democracy die?

Speaking of elections…

The current crowd of Republican candidates for president in 2008 run the danger of repeating what the Democrats did in 1968. The better candidates to run against H. Clinton will be cancelled out if Republicans seek a one-political-size fits all solution. Republicans could vote in primaries the same way Henry Ford chose colors for his Model T cars. Ford used to say, “You can chose any color you like as long as it is black.” Republicans can pick their candidate saying, “He can be any political color he wants, as long as the color is my brand of conservative Republican red.”

So it comes to this, there are too many “pinkos” running for President for red-blooded Republicans to support en mass.

What does this mean for Senator John McCain? He is too “pink” for social conservatives and evangelicals and too conservative for most Democrats. In addition, McCain will not win the presidency, let alone a candidacy from his party, if he does not reconcile and celebrate himself as that angry Irish guy. This thin voiced suppression of his life force makes him appear like a little white haired mouse rather than the lion he really is.

We need lions in the White House. Become a lion again, Mr. McCain.

Rudolph Giuliani, the former and heroic mayor of New York City during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, has the best chance winning the presidency against Hillary Clinton. He may actually win his party’s nomination, like Hubert Humphrey did, 40 years ago, but at what political cost. Back then, Humphrey won, or better, was the last man standing, and perhaps not the best man running for president after the assassination of Robert Kennedy and the meltdown in the Democratic Convention held in Chicago in 1968. He was a consolation choice but too liberal for conservative leaning Democrats. They voted for Nixon who won in 1968.

In 2008, a Giuliani bid could win at the Republican Convention but echo a similar political Pyrrhic victory that will lose him the presidential bid. He could be the consolation choice during a Republican meltdown, a color of red that does not suit all for its liberal leaning pinkishness. His secular, liberal views could and will win him votes from conservative Democrats, but they will not counterbalance the loss of the right wing, evangelical and social conservative voters in his own party. They will not cross over and vote for Hillary, like right wing Democrats did for Nixon. They just will not vote.

One Republican can beat Hillary Clinton, but he cannot run because the US Constitution has an amendment that prohibits foreign-born citizens from running for US president.

Yes, friends…I “am” talking about Conan the Barbarian, the Governator of California.

If ever that amendment is overturned, see a future Republican president named “Schwarzenegger.” I just haven’t figured out how to create a title for president that sounds as nice as that “Governator” jingle yet. Maybe future history will call his first term in the White House his “first Terminator” or “Terminator 1.” The next term could be “Terminator 2.”

All seriousness aside…

There is one dark horse Republican to consider in 2008. The president’s brother, Jeb Bush. If given national attention, people would soon see that he is definitely not a bump on the same woodenheaded Bush family log. Jeb Bush is quite formidable, has a broad appeal with moderate, right wing Republicans and social conservatives. He has run Florida as its former governor efficiently and ably. He has no Katrina contrition. FEMA worked in Florida better than anywhere else global warming sent hurricane disasters in the southern states. Jeb Bush might be the right man with the wrong name in 2008. The abilities of one brother Bush will be overshadowed by the mounting political disabilities of the other Bush in the White House.

The presidency will go to the Democrats in 2008, as I have been predicting since 1998, when I said H. Clinton would be a New York Senator that year, and then a president in 2008. Some of you may remember me making that prediction live on national TV to Star and the coffee clutch of hostesses on ABC’s “The View” on 30 October 1998.

People thought I was being silly predicting that then. Not so silly now…it would seem.

However, there is a lot of time left for that prediction to go wrong. I sense it will not be wrong, though. That sense is still constant and strong. It is not based on my personal feelings, because I will make them pain–I will never vote for Hillary Clinton. However, my “oracle” says she is our next president.

I wrote this bulletin on 5 February 2007. Exactly one year from the date of this writing, the primary campaigns will have effectively chosen their candidates for the presidential elections in November 2008. I predict we will know exactly one year from today who the candidates for president will be.

Now, let us expand the vistas of political prophecies farther into the future…

What will the cosmic “night” of the American body politic look like in the next 36 years?

Starting in 2007-2008 Americans will experience a 36-year shift of power from the federal government back to the states. It will be seen that democracy cannot be adequately sustained in an overpopulated country approaching 400 million people by the dawn of Cosmic Day in 2044.

States rights will have a renaissance the likes of which has not been seen since before the US civil war. We are heading back to the future.

Will there be civil wars because of state versus federal rights issues in the next 36 years? The answer is yes, if we stay on the current dysfunctional political path. You will have civil war no later than the end of the next decade, into the 2020s.

Another destiny embarked by 2008 could bring Americans a renaissance of Jeffersonian values–a Thomas Jefferson-style peaceful rebellion and revolution that will refresh American vows and interest in their own democracy. The Constitution by 2026 will be renewed if that path is chosen in 2008.

The Cosmic Night period to come (2008–2044) could see the American people’s political pendulum swing either towards a slightly left-centrist swing, or move from its current right of center swing to a fascist far right of center swing. Both possibilities in extremis, the fascist or overtly too socialist paths, could lead to a second American civil war or revolution by the 2020s. Still, in the verge of time between two ages–the years 2007-2008–we can choose the destiny of a peaceful renewal of all things American in the coming 36 years. America is a Cancer in astrology, a moonchild, a ruler of hearth and home. That is why we insert “mom” in our “apple pie” slogan as Americans. Cosmic night is mother night. A good time to support, nourish and heal the “motherland.” If we all each help tap into that mother wisdom energy then the next 36 years will see our motherland give birth to a new and better nation.

When that better nation arises, look for the coming unions growing within the federal union of states in America. America will still be a national body but it will have three or four regional-centric interacting groups of states. You will see the Eastern states, the Central and the Western States doing more interstate economic and political commerce. There will be less focus on Washington D.C. and federalism will weaken a bit. It could be for the best. It will be understood in the future that democracy works better with immediacy. Democracy is a neighbor-to-neighbor reality. The smaller the population, if merged with wealthier per capita income, makes them more efficient at governing themselves. Dare I say it; America in 36 years will feel politically more like present day Holland.

One area in this scenario will not have as rosy a future unless immigration policy changes. Look for the balkanization of the American Southwest if fair and realistic aims of illegal aliens and native citizens do not arise to solve the invasion of illegals across the southern US borders. The first signs of violence will begin in 2007. The next American civil war most likely to happen will be ethnic in nature, breaking out in the Southwest. Americans on their own soil in the coming decades could experience what happened in the Balkans. Native white and black American militias will gang up on Hispanic Americans and a tidal wave of illegal Hispanic aliens crossing into America in an invasion of Gothic, Ancient Roman proportions.

Now to another kind of “invasion…”

What I said for predictions made for the year 2006 still holds about the Bird Flu. Its mutation into a human form of plague will not happen in 2007, although bird migrations might bring the first report of the avian strains into America this autumn.

I said the following posted on 31 December 2005. I still hold to it: “There are signs that a successful use of prophecy as an agent of prevention greatly modifies the effects of the Avian Flu when it comes. We have already seen the apocalyptic warnings of seers goad mainstream science and technology to prevent the potential of a computer Millennium Bug shutting down the cyber and electrical grid of the world in 2000.

“The longer the Bird Flu delays fluttering down into human kind, the better will be the chances that developing nations will also avert its worst effects. There could come in time a new vaccine regimen that will make a shot of bird flu anti-virus serum one cell at a time, rather than one cumbersome egg at a time in inadequate numbers stored in vast warehouses. “

Before we move to the third and final part of my prophetic discourse for 2007, I want to close by saying that Time Magazine got it right about the Person of the Year in 2006.

It “is” you. All of you with face forward to the window of the future to public concord. You use the window of the computer screen to “see,” read, and “hear” fellow human beings all over the world. Perhaps it is through these luminous screens that the sutra thread of peace will be woven into a golden network of a golden age of interface and interaction.

The democratization of the internet will be the greatest revolution to take place in the next two years. How you browse and reach out, how you are “reached” in the next 24 months may define for better or worse the shape of a cyber download of revolutionary breakthroughs in all things human. You are and you can be the living template of love and consciousness upon which a virtual light of the coming cyber-civilization will be built in the next 36 years of cosmic night.

Today we will examine the second of three future dangers emerging out of important historic developments from May 2002. It concerns two treaties signed during this year’s Memorial Day weekend. The first treaty, signed in Moscow by President Putin of Russia and President Bush of the United States, pledges to reduce strategic nuclear arms by significant levels. The second treaty, signed in Rome by Bush, Putin and the signatories of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), normalizes relations with Russia and gives the former Cold War adversary equal voice (but no veto power) in NATO decisions. These developments at present sound a note of hope for peace in our future. There are, however, disturbing prophetic indications set in motion by the signing of these treaties. The promises of peace in May 2002 could be the first step taken in an unsteady alliance of former adversaries that will lead down destiny’s road to a nuclear war no one anticipated, either 3 to 13 years from now.

I would like to walk you through a selection of excerpts from the writings of Nostradamus. I believe they point to the alliance of great kings or brothers of the northern hemisphere who come together in a new alliance specifically to fight an alliance of Eastern Kings (nations). In my “Axis of Evil” bulletin of Feb. 2002, I quoted passages of Nostradamus detailing a triumvirate of terrorist sanctioning nations from the Near East that use ambush and supterfuge to wage war with the Northern Kings. It is important to note that this alliance of the great northerners takes place when one of them is at the peak of its power on land and sea and air. The new northern alliance terrifies the Eastern Kings and their defeat and near annihilation by the overwhelming force of the Northern Kings seems assured. Peace does not follow. The Kings of the North will go to war with each other either three or thirteen years after the ink dried on their hopeful peace treaties. Their alliance is undermined by a “babare” source (a potential code name for a “Barbary” Libyan or North African source). They go to war and devastate the world, but the victor is born, as Nostradamus says in French “par terre Americh” (on American soil).

“Great disagreement and discord in order to obtain lands [i.e., the Balkans, Central Asian and Arab oil fields, and Israeli-Palestinian disputes over the Holy Land]. Kingdoms given to men incapable of prudence. Then for the great brothers [US & Russia?] death and dissention.” (C2 Q94)

“The rule left to two [Russian and America?]. They will hold it for a very short time. Three years and seven months having passed, they will go to war. Their two vassals rebel against them. The victor is born on American soil.” (C4 Q95)

“The two will not remain allied for long: within 13 years they will give in to Barbary [Libyan-Arab] power. There will be such a loss on both sides, that one [perhaps America in this case] will bless the bark of Peter and the cape of the pope.” (C5 Q78

“There will be let loose living fire and hidden death. Horror inside dreadful globes. By night the city will be reduced to dust…” (C5 Q8)

“At sunrise one will see a great fire. Noise and light extending towards the North. Within the earth death and cries are heard. Death awaiting them through weapons, fire and famine.” (C2 Q91)

“The world will be so diministhed, and its people will be so so few that no one will be willing or in enough numbers to till the fields…” (The Epistle)

The dramatic shifts in strategic alliances initiated by the Bush administration with their former enemy turned “brothers” in the war against terrorism send my intuitive hackles dancing. A decade stall in Strategic Arms Reductions is now on the fast track to ratification and even an accelleration of cold war disarmament. Back on the Memorial Day weekend when Americans customarily celebrate the memory of all those who died in previous wars and the last world war in particular, the Russian and American presidents signed up for a ten year plan that reduces the intercontinental ballistic missile arsenals of Russia and US by two-thirds. Showing that these new brothers are not yet brothers, as Nostradamus may imply in his prophecies, we see either side submitting to their share of hard to swallow concessions for the treaty to go forward. Russia’s Putin wanted both the missiles “and” warheads slated for destruction. Bush did not want to sign any official and binding treaty for disarmament. He was happy to keep all this talk of disarmament open and non-binding. In the end, Bush agreed to a binding agreement as long as he could destroy the missiles but save and stockpile both American and Russian warheads. (I suspect for a radioactively black rainy day.) So, on paper, by the time the Mayans spin the sun wheel of their grand calendar cycle again in 2011-2012, you will see America reduce its strategic missile tipped warheads to 1,800. Russia will scale down her doomsday bang to a mere 2,200 missiles.

Feel safer?

I definitely do not!

I have warned in print for decades that such agreements as these were foreseen by Nostradamus and many other prophets as part of a “disarming dream” that will lead us down to the nightmare of nuclear war. They plant the seeds of a false sense of security while the world enters a new era where the odds of nuclear weapons being used in future wars are far higher than at any time during the Cold War. Scaling down the “official” strategic doomsday bang to levels that terrified us during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 is bad enough. A disarmament agreement like this treaty betrays an open disregard for tens of thousands of non-strategic nukes possessed by America and Russia. This new treaty keeps the strategic warheads stored for a future rearmament race while it overlooks tagging for destruction tens of thousands of nuclear torpedoes, nuclear mines, nuclear artillery shells and stockpiles of jet-delivered nuclear bombs. Nor does it even address the few thousand strategic nuclear bombs possessed by lesser nuclear powers like Britain, France, Israel, China, Pakistan and India.

These two new “brothers” of nuclear disarmament are clearly eager not to dismantle the tens of thousands of smaller tactical nuclear weapons they both possess. Indeed, it seems their numbers will increase!

The US Pentagon with the blessings and encouragement of the Bush administration are openly changing the rules of nuclear engagement. Strategic nukes may be out of favor, but the Pentagon is openly considering the use of smaller yield, tactical nuclear warheads in battlefield situations or against hard and reinforced targets. Not just on other nuclear powers, mind you, but the Pentagon is opening the option to launch atomic weapons even at non-nuclear states as a precautionary act.

Here are the four contingencies as quoted from the 56-page classified Nuclear Posture Review obtained by the LA Times and the New York Times in early March 2002:

Nuclear weapons could be used in three types of situation: against targets able to withstand non-nuclear attack; in retaliation for attack with nuclear biological or chemical weapons; or “in the event of surprising military developments.”

The Pentagon should be prepared to use nuclear weapons during an Arab-Israeli conflict, an Iraqi attack on Israel or its neighbors, a North Korean attack on South Korea or a military confrontation between China and Taiwan (a scenario in which Chinese leaders may try to forcefully integrate Taiwan with the mainland China).

Countries such as Iran, Syria and Libya could be involved in immediate, potential or unexpected contingencies requiring “nuclear strike capabilities.”

The United States should be prepared to launch a nuclear strike to destroy stocks of weapons of mass destruction, such as biological and chemical arms.

In short, the unthinkable has become thinkable. Nuclear weapons make a historic move from mere deterrence to active use in future wars. The ethical line between nuclear and conventional war will disappear.

If, during the Cold War, an American president openly considered limited use of nuclear weapons of any kind as a first option to a perceived threat, most people might question his sanity. During the Cold War you just didn’t let the nuclear genie out of the bottle unless attacked first by nuclear weapons of your enemy. Use them first and you set in motion a cascade of nuclear weapons use across the world. The Pentagon staffers and the president think that they can initiate using nukes in the fog and chaos of future wars while limiting the spread of their use. That line of thinking sounds to me like a recovered alcoholic saying he could sustain his sobriety with limited use of Jack Daniels Whiskey.

It is this kind of twisted thinking that could take us down the road of fulfilling a number of collective prophetic warnings from ancient and modern seers alike. They say there will most definitely be three world wars in human history and the third war is a complete surprise. It is fought by two friends in an alliance after they have defeated a common Eastern enemy with what sounds like a limited use of weapons of mass destruction. (You can read about these collective scenarios in Part Two of “The Millennium Book of Prophecy” under the chapter title “The Third World’s War.”)

The disarmament treaty and alliances signed by Russia and America last Memorial Day weekend saw a major tug of that shroud of denial over humanity’s eyes. A cancerous seed has been planted beneath the outward facade of peaceful disarmament. It marks the beginning of a campaign to convince the public that the dangers of nuclear war are overrated. This deep and foreseen denial could settle over our minds until the day we awaken to a full nuclear exchange no one believed possible.

People are ready to nod off in agreement when their political leaders blithely count the doomsday math of the peaceful arsenal of 3,800 ICBMs remaining after 2012 arms reduction deadline. This is near the number of nuclear weapons the Soviets and Americans would have launched or dropped on each other back in the hecatombic days of the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.

Did we feel safe from a nuclear holocaust then?

The brothers of the north are preparing the way for the use some of the estimated 25,000 non-strategic nuclear warheads at their disposal to fight a new world war on terrorism. In the meantime, this new treaty marks two thirds of the current 10 to 12,000 strategic Russian and American nuclear warheads topping missiles for removal and stockpiling. It is much easier to mass produce a missile than construct a nuclear warhead from scratch. If the enemy of 20 years ago can become one’s friend, the converse is also possible ten or twenty years from now. Thanks to an unethical compromise between brothers who are not yet brothers in the true and trusting sense, those parked strategic warheads could find themselves once again screwed on the bodies of new Intercontinental ballistic missiles in a future cold war face off. Do not be fooled. We will not be facing a mere 3,800 stratetic warheads after 2012. This so-called disarmament treaty has not destroyed a single strategic warhead menacing the world today! They will be waiting for us, and the current US president is responsible for keeping the apocalyptic danger alive in the name of peace and disarmament.

A new cold war could see today’s friendly northern “brother” and oil exporter become tomorrow’s enemy oil drug pusher. Russia could cut off the flow for America’s fossil goo addiction when America by the next decade will export nearly 80 percent of its oil from overseas—from Russia! That is the future trend. That is the deal maker behind all this talk of disarmament. America’s long term strategy sees it move away from the chaos and instability of its ever more radicalized Islamic oil producing allies; the same former allies to be targeted sooner or later in a war on terrorism.

Any denial of these facts and extrapolated developments comes from being under the spell of foretold disarming dreams.

When the president announced after signing this treaty that he has “liquidated the dangers of the Cold War,” I hear a new Chamberlain making that immortal mistake of a declaration (“Peace for our time!”) made just before a new world war:

This false sense of peace for our times casts a haze over our reason and promotes a disregard for the facts. It is the same “peace” that the 17th century German seer, Stormberger, and others warned would prevail before the final conflagration of a third world war.

We should remember (and make our leaders of Russia and America never forget) Stormberger’s chilling prophecy about a Third World War:

“With open eyes will the nations of the Earth enter into these catastrophes.”

Remind your congresspersons, senators and president that brother American and brother Russian are “not yet brothers,” as Nostradamus warned. They have signed a peace sleeping pact that could become yours and everyone’s global war nightmare. It may be that we have only three or thirteen years left to wake them up before it is too late.

PS—A CORRECTION
There is a proof reading error in the previous bulletin of 31 May that has some of you astrologers out there star-hopping mad or cosmically puzzled. There is a Jupiter/MARS conjunction at the end of June — and NOT the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction. I meant to type “Mars” rather than “Saturn.” My apologies. Blame it on the Mercury retrograde in Gemini in May. This conjunction will be the topic of my next bulletin in August unless current events (and the time and energy it takes to write my tenth book) change or delay my plans.
