What is RSS? How do I use it on this site?
RSS is a great tool.
RSS (aka XML) stands for "Really Simple Syndication."
RSS is a web technology which came about in order to make newly added/updated content on the web easier to find and keep track of. It's a form of syndication which web browsers, like yourself, can use in order to be notified of new content that is posted on your favorite websites. Common RSS feeds are news headlines and personal blogs, or weblogs. Normally to check regularly on content, you need to book mark a page on the internet, and then go there yourself and check to see if there is any change.
RSS is a much easier and quicker than that. If a site has what's called an RSS feed, you can subscribe to that feed, and then be notified automatically of new content posted on the site. The Hogueprophecy RSS feed is here. RSS feed is simply the list of new content that is appearing on a site.
Now Hogueprophecy is syndicated in this way, and you can subscribe to the Hogueprophecy RSS feed. If you subscribe to our feed, whenever new content like Hogueprophecy bulletins and new eBooks from John Hogue are posted, the notice is sent out to your browser, and you see the link - automatically. It's like you have your own personal search engine, or subscription list which is updated automatically each time new content appears on Hogueprophecy.com

Remember RSS Feed is just the technical way of labeling the page where new articles and content posted recently to the Hogueprophecy website is listed in very easy to read format. In the screenshot below, see at the top of the screen it says "Subscribe to this feed using" with a drop down menu giving you the different ways to subscribe. This screenshot is how the Firefox browser renders our feed page. If you use a different browser you will see this page looking slightly different, but don't worry. There will always be a box or button to click to subscribe. Click here to go to this page now.
